Trainers' Estate: Grounds- Lake

Cat and Zenith raced over the lake at breakneck speeds, barely missing skimming the top of the water with each flap. With each strong beat of his wings, Zenith came closer and closer to taking the lead, having sped past Matt and Casey just seconds before, they were now coming up next to Ethan on his Staraptor. "C'mon Zenith! Ya got all these guys beat when it comes to speed! Show'em no mercy!"

Ace could see that everyone was catching up and he gulped.
"We can't let Zenith catch up to us, otherwise we're dead!" Ace yelled at Starlight, who nodded. "Gain some speed by using QUICK ATTACK!"

 

Come on Hoohoo! Lets use some agility!

*Hoohoo picked up its pace as it passed the submerged poliwrath, gaining afew inches towards cat & ace*

 

Matt gestured Poliwrath to surface and it did. "Poliwrath, turn around!" he commanded. The Tadpole Pokemon looked confused. "Just do it!" Matt said. Poliwrath did as instructed. "Now use Hydro Pump!" cried Matt.

Poliwrath used the attack, sending a stream of water that propelled them at 60 MPH.

 

Starlight had gained speed through Quick Attack, and was getting closer towards the island, with white streaks coming past and nearly blinding them Ace.
"Come on, WE CAN DO THIS!"

 

"No, you don't!" cried Matt triumphantly, as he and Poliwrath sped past Ace. Poliwrath stopped the Hydro Pump and started swimming normally, as fast as it possibly could.

"Uggh wat's alll that noise!" Abigail woke up. "OH NO! I fell asleep here let me go back to my room and go to sleep."
Abigail swam back on Leila and went inside the building into her room again.

 

Ace kept on flying, and could see Aquarius was getting closer to the Island. The ocean floor was getting shallower, and then remembered something: Poliwrath's are part fighting!
"Starlight, swoop down and use Wing Attack!"

 

"Catch up to them with Quick Attack!" The mighty bird pokemon let out a cry before going into one of its fastest attacks, gaining speed and quickly catching up to Ethan and Matt as they neared the island.

 

Ace looked behind, and saw Cat and Zenith catching up.
"Starlight, pull out, we should have scared them by now!" He instructed.
"Star!" Starlight nodded, and pulled up, barely flying Matt and Aquarius. The island was only a few metres away...

 

Shrub continued to float lazily along the river, still not noticing the pokemon racing towards him.

 

"Out of the way!" Matt cried over the sound of the water splashing as Poliwrath swam, "Get out of here!"

 

*Casey realized that everyone was ahead of him, it was time for him and Hoohoo to really change the game*

"Ok Hoohoo, Lets use your Zen Headbutt to make a sure-fire stretch across the lake!"

*Hoohoo began to glow an ominous aqua color as it began speeding up heading towards and almost past Cat*

 

Starlight was getting closer and closer, and Ace was able to make out the yellowy-gold sand and the green of several bushes.
"Quick Attack to the finish!" Ace yelled

(OOC: Shall we used Tyran's rolls? They can work)

 

"No!" cried, Matt, "Poliwrath, you do the same! Swim like you've never swam before!"

Poliwrath used all its strength to speed past Ace. "There's the finish line now!" the trainer said.

 

Ace could see Aquarius and Matt coming out from underneath.
"I don't think we can make it!" Ace said sadly, but Starlight was still determined to come second, and raced with all her might.

(OOC: I think we will use the dice, it is easiest. So Matt, you win)

 

Just a little more, Matt thought, with the finish line mere meters away. Before he knew it, he and Poliwrath crossed the finish line, with Ace and Starlight close behind.

"We did it!" he cried, "We won!" Matt jumped off of Poliwrath when they reached shore. "Thanks, Poliwrath," he said, "That was a good race. And, you, too, Ace."

 

Starlight flew down, nearly crashing into Aquarius, and her claws scraped the sand, and Ace nearly flew off.
"Clsoe call, but at least we came second!" Ace said, and patted his two Pokemon, before shaking Matt's hand.

 

Cat and Zenith swooped in close behind Ethan and Starlight, both were a bit bummed they lost but 3rd place wasn't so bad. "Nice race guys!" Zenith cried out in agreement, congratulating the tadpole and bird pokemon for their win.
