That just made me think... what about optional rules that add certain moves to pokemon's movesets, kinda like the Shoddy server mods that give stuff moves they don't usually learn?

I like what Lunar said - maybe specialized moves for special Pokemon at events and such.

A week dedicated to standardized 3 VS. 3 battling. Whoever has the most 3 VS. 3 battles and/or whoever has the most wins get a prize at the end of the week, money or Pokemon. Also, whoever refs the most 3 VS. 3 battles gets a prize. It would promote more activity. The battles could also be incorporated into a ladder, like the old one at PE2K.

Hmm, I think that would be great.

Maybe a few tournaments (Each one has totally different requirements, to give authenticity):

    Newbie-Division (Requirement: Date Joined)
    Veterans-Division (Requirement: Date Joined)
    ---
Experienced-Division (Requirements: Specified number of Badges)
Expert Division (Requirements: Date joined, Specified number of badges)

Here's a guy whose usual affair of complaining and flaming in the TC is being put aside for the ideology of this idea!

Since Summer is a time of babes, holidays and Sun (which admittedly chucks me outside without internets) I figured we might as well try and replicate this.

My proposal: BATTLE OF THE SEXES.

Now, this is a simple case of a three-way battle royale that awards a group of people. In a nutshell, it's essentially a large forum-or-aim FFA that's based around three large groups working together to defeat the other two: The boys, composed of male pokemon, the girls, composed of female pokemon, and the Soulless, composed of the genderless pokemon.

All three sides should be relatively equal in size, and are to work together to defeat their foes in the battle. The same general prize rulings should run with regular FFAs, but for the victorious side, the survivors get a small token of congratulation in terms of an item or sorts, while those who were KOed get a bit extra postgame cash than normal.

This covers the Babes part, but what of Holiday and Sun?

Holidays, of course, mean fun and excitement, which fits a sort of Lottery system! Said folk buy a ticket for a fair price, and once a deadline is reached, tickets are drawn and prizes doled out. Prizes may range from monetary ones to new pokemon, possibly some of them evolved.

In terms of Sun, let's think of it this way: Anyone having a battle during the daytime will get double the standard prize money, and refs get double earnings for battles held during daylight hours, say 6 AM to 6 PM or summat, in their own time zone, for as long as the event is held.

Of course, this is the opinion of someone who is a jackass and is therefore open to a roasting.

On a footnote, as I went to post this, I got slapped with a goddamn 503 error.

It's been suggested for permanent implementation as a system like the gym system many times. Don't get your hopes up =/
