Can you capture more then one pokemon in one story? Or is it one pokemon per story?

I got bored, so I decided to offer my help as far as answering questions.

I'm known as RaptorJesus at PE2K, AIM: Imsocorn. Hit me up for questions whenever.

You can capture as many as you want in one story. I think somebody put 39 captures in one story or something like that? Though make sure, as the number of captures or the quality of the Pokemon increases in a story, so should the length and quality of your story, if you wanna catch it that is.

    Hope that helps

Lol WTP, DU caught like 18 Mon at once, and I caught like 14 or 16 at once one time. You can go for any number of Mon at a time as (or in a whole story; over the course of a story I caught like between 20-30 Mon) as you like, but when you go for multiple Mon all at once, you add together the requirements to get the needed amount of characters.

So say you want to catch three Medium and one Hard Pokemon all at once. You'd add together the minimum and maximum requirements for each individual Pokemon (in this case 10-20k, 10-20k, 10-20kk, and 20-30k, which would equal to 50-90k altogether). However, if you're only catching them one at a time over the course of the story, you only need to worry about that specific Mon's requirements for the section you're trying to catch it in (if you're catching those four Mon over four chapters, then you only need 10-20k or 20-30k per Mon, depending on the category).

Wow, sorry if this is confusing, I haven't slept in like a day lol. If you need any help understanding something don't hesitate to ask. I promise I'll be more coherent later.

EDIT: XD RaptorJesus. That reminds me of the Big Butter Jesus song I heard on the radio about three or so weeks ago. *Sings.* "Sweet cream Jesus, country fresh Jesus...imperial Jesus, I Can't Beleive It's Not Jesus..."

I knew it was DU, I just lost count, lol.

And I didn't go into a large explanation like that so it wouldn't be confusing ;P

Khajmer's TL;DR version: The more Pokemon you try to catch at one time, the longer and better quality it should be. One story for two Medium level Pokemon should have about the same length and quality as two stories for one Medium level Pokemon each.

It's only like three paragraphs and a small edit. :yahoo:

Nice to see the URPG board. I'm pretty excited.

Also excited for Pokemon W/B...should be in URPG in 2011. That sounds so weird...the rules for battle will be W/B!

Good to know. Pink female Dratini it is--eventually, anyway.

I'm not a terrible fan of IRC, but I suppose it has its uses. I'm always on both, so I guess it's not so bad.

I'm eagerly awaiting the launch. Just a few more days now, I think.

Not anymore ;_; If I get a copy of the coding I could probably modify it for W/B, though I doubt I could make it from scratch. Still, that's at least a year away. Plenty of time to worry about it.

Near came? I think that was it... Just kidding, I don't even have him blocked.

And hopefully, WB won't introduce anything too different into the battling equation, at least not something that would require a calc change.

Is it going to open at midnight? If so, what time zone?

Yeah, but I'm guessing adding a few [read: a lot] of mons isn't as hard as figuring out and implementing new battle mechanics/changes to the damage equation. Then again, I could be wrong.

And unfortunately, I probably won't even be around for the opening. =( I'll be across the Atlantic without access to a computer.

I'm sure DU will be around to mess with his calc when the time comes. Until then don't worry about it.

Hm. So I'm reading the story requirements for the Dratini evolution series, and they seem rather steep. So I've a question: if I aim for a higher evolution (say, Dragonair or Dragonite) and the story isn't quite up to par, would I be able to accept a lesser evolution without having to write an entirely separate story?

Well, you could only get what you wrote for. So instead of getting a Dratini for a Dragonair story, you get none. Buying a Dratini is the easiest way to get one, I say. :<
