Additionally, a few days before March 15, we will be opening the URPG forum for viewing but not posting. It will be a good chance to see what the group is all about.

Alright so I've been going through the thread and it seems like releasing this is going to be somewhere around mid april-early may? Anyone have a different time?

Also, do you need the AIM messenger to participate in battles once this thing is up? Is any of the URPG done on messengers? If so, what parts? Is the national park done in the forums?

I've been checking it out on PE2K and it looks amazing! I'm going to write stories in advance so I can get meh mons. So, I hope the story requirements doesn't change with the new branch.

Oh, and is this going to be done off of more sub forums in the Gamecorner kinda like KPU?

 

Starting on April 15th, yeah. And I don't think you "need" AIM / YIM / MSN; you can do forum battles ... but messenger battles flow more smoothly. I'd suggest downloading AIM if you can.

Not required, but recommended. Forum battles are okay when you start out, but once you start getting really good most of the better battlers go on AIM. Also it's faster. Battles are mostly done on AIM, and Free for Alls are only every once in a while because they get huge and are a pain in the ass to ref. We also do auctions on AIM on occasion. As for the Park, it's entirely on the forum.

We're going to keep it as uniform as possible. Story requirements will be the same. And we're all looking forward to the new writing blood

C+C is that Hkim you probably need to work on making URPG better on Pe2k before expanding but I guess if you think this is the right way to go for the URPG then w/e your the head I guess.

Yes, AIM is highly recommended as we do a great deal of activity on it.

Are shiny pokemon allowed, or at least, pokemon that are colored differently?

 

What your Pokemon looks like doesn't really affect any mechanics of the URPG. You can have a red, white, and blue Gengar sprite on your stats if you want.

Additionally, instead of AIM, I am trying to push URPG activity towards IRC.

 

Each communication system has its own merits and are certainly useful. The majority of us expanding here are familiar with AIM, but we will try to embrace the use of IRC as well.
