    Psychic Central Hub
The third floor of the estate largely resembles a cross between a laboratory and a lounge. Most of the furnishings have a chrome finish, and many pink and purple flashing lights adorn the walls and a few of the tables. The entrance to the lounge from the stairs is flanked by statues of Mew and Mewtwo. An Alakazam and its two Kadabra helpers tend to the "machinery" lining the walls (no one quite knows what it does, if anything) and to the wing residents and visitors, though they do their best to make any intruder's stay unpleasant.

    Manaphy Hall
The hall is dimly lit and painted a dark blue to resemble the deepest ocean habitats of its patron Pokémon. The temperature is also kept fairly low compared to other locations in the estate. Aquariums line at least one wall in every non-dorm room and contain many sea-based Pokémon such as Tentacool and Goldeen. A small feeding system is attached to each tank, if the residents wish to aid in the care of the Pokémon, and each tank contains a Manaphy-shaped toy for the Pokémon.

Alright, here's more possible descriptions. Play with to your heart's content.

I am so in on this. I love what you guys are doing so far and would love to help if you need me to- description, running, heck, I could be the one who cleans the nicely detailed bathrooms (okay, maybe not...)

This is like the other URPGs, but I get to join at the start.

I'm just curious, but how do we pick people's houses? My character fits mostly into the Fire-house, yet I've got no fire-type. (in fact, the only type I've got listed here is water, but I digress) Random rolling would be a pain.
I dunno. You probably have all of this figured out and I'm just rambling.

Can I suggest house rivalries? Like Suicune vs Entei or Fire Wing vs Water Wing for epic war?

When do you think we'll be done making this stuff? If it's in the next 2 weeks, then I can't post my sign up in time because I'm away on holiday this Saturday.

Wow, I completely missed all this.

Anyway, I think it sounds really cool. It's a good idea, and (hogwarts jokes aside) pretty unique for pokémon.

My question is, where is this place located in the pokémon world, if anywhere?
Obviously there's a beach, so it has to be near the ocean in some way, but is it in Kanto? Johto? Hoenn? none of the previously known places? some sort of limbo? not that it needs to be decided yet, if it even ends up with a known location.
Where it is could help in deciding on some of the features though. Pokémon themes etc might be more based on what's local to that region, etc. There could even be shrines to famous trainers from the area, like if it was Kanto the Fire Hall could have a shrine to Blaine, or a number of other things.

    EDIT:
Oh, it looks like it's in Viridian forest? I missed that xD
    SECOND EDIT:
NEVERMIND! Looks like it "shows up wherever it's needed?".

Sorry for taking an obnoxiously long time to notice this enough to comment on it, but: omg. This looks so awesome! c: It would certainly make the URPG more fun and deep, so believe me when I say I back this 100%. I'd be more than willing to help out any way I can! <3 I'm excited for it to start, as I'm impatient to sign up for it. xD

That shrine thing sounds pretty epic. I'll talk it over to see which region it can be in.

This looks pretty sweet. I can't wait until it's ready!

Just one question: Will battles be held inside/outside of the RP to determine its outcome?

Thank you so much everyone! We should be ready in the next couple of days at most.

    Outside, I think.

Hmm. Reading through the most recent posts (I've been sort of lurking since the beginning) this could be quite interesting; I though it was basically going to be a bigger La Casa De Ultra; my only suggestion, based on the dearth of activity for the rest of this sub-board, is to have incentive.

I don't mean rewards; I mean have activities for everyone to participate in, rather than just allowing everything to be determined by every subsequent post. For instance, if it's going to be a Pokemon version of Hogwarts type thing, have the house rivalry, with activities and a 'points' score the thread leaders can award or detract; with a total point value calculated every 'term' of 3 months. If it's going to be more of a trainer hub, have missions for them to go on - also accumulating points - with a winning house being declared every few months and restarting, or something.

The reason I haven't been very active in the other RP's (other than disinterest at some of the themes) is because it's up to us to make things happen; I do much better following someone's lead, expanding on what they say, than trying to hold my own ideas together through everyone's amalgamated RP.

Well, I have had the idea of having a few backup mini-plots to get people started, who need them that is. That's one of the reasons I gave the Estate a backstory. And a minor amount of reward could be a good thing. Perhaps we could arrange with the officials that little gifts could be given for being active.
But we'll probably only do that if nessesary, because we seem to have a lot of people interested in the intrest of fun.

My worry with the activity is, how much would last past the initial surge? The RP section in general seemed to have a fair amount of popularity, but most of the RPs have basically died at this point.

As to the rewards, if we start introducing them, they'd either be lackluster, or we'd have people only doing this for the reward; that's why a non-fake-monetary reward, such as bragging rights for a month, would help incentivize those who would be involved, but doesn't draw uninterested parties just for the quick buck.

But one of the things that should help keep it from dying down, is that it's designed to be easy to jump in at any time, and if you don't go for a while, re-introducing yourself will be simple.

If you feel that this is ready, then go ahead and start it. Use this section for whatever space you need, we're not using it for much else.

As always, you have my support.

But we need it organized by forums, and a mod is needed for that.

    ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are not yet allowed to create subforums, but we can if if this turns out sucsessful. But HKim said we can make as many threads as we need. So I'm gonna get to work figuring stuff out.

Maybe I'm a little too stuck on the Hogwarts analogy that someone threw out there, but will there be things like classes organized? I know you'd said that you had some stuff planned, but I didn't see much as far as what was actually going to happen in here - mostly it's just been organizing the buildings and halls, and such. What will daily life be like in this trainer's estate?

i must say that i do like this idea and i will be singing up for it.
however i do have a few questions
    1) will this be like La Casa de Ultra or will his place hold events and RPG activities? (to simplife: what will one be doing here?)
2)Will there be NPC in the estate to help run it?
2a)if yes will they have there own personalities or will use RPGers be able to make them up on the spot?
2b)If no will there be "jobs" for us Rpgers to have in the estate and how would we go about getting them?

That will do for now if i think of any more i'll ask here.
    i'll sign up later.
