Eh, what do you mean by this? If you send a move you don't have (or shouldn't be able to use), it fails.

I mean if you type it in and then realise it was a mistake before the turn, you can change the move. Ive said it for all the other rounds :p

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: Round One!

It is now time for the Semi Finals!
Things are getting intense now, and it's time to see who has what it takes to enter the finals!
Two people will be moving onto the finals to battle it out for First and Second place. The other two people will have a battle in Round Six to see who gets Third place!

    Derian vs Ebail
    Xali vs Stinky

    Battles are:
    AIM
    5v5
    Revolution
    No Helds
    Normal Terrain
    No Weather
    Sleep/Freeze/OHKO Clause
Self-KO Clause is in place (if you use a move that results in both Pokemon fainting, your opponent wins
    All pseudo-legendary/legendary banned

List of pseudo-legendary: Dragonite, Garchomp, Metagross, Salamence, Tyranitar

Payments are $2.5k for winner, $1.5k for loser, and $2.5k for referee.

You only have one week now to move to complete your battles! (20th of January). If all battles are completed before that time, we will move onto ROUND SIX, THE FINALS! If you wish to or need to forfeit (IE, have to go on holiday), please contact me and we can arrange it :) If you can't make Round Six either please say so, as then we won't need a third place battle
If you accidentally type an EM during your battle, that isn't a cause for disqualification, just change your move :) However, due to what happened last week, if you send a psuedo and it isnt picked up upon, you will be DQed.
And refs, PLEASE post your logs here, NOT in your reffing logs!!! You will recieve a tournament wage at the end of Round Six, so you will get your money!

Good luck everyone, and I hope you are all excited as well :D

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: Round Five!

With that battle in mind, it is time.... the final two battles... the ones that will decide it all..........
    ..........
    .........
    ....

    ROUND SIX: THE FINAL ROUND!!!!!

Two battles will take place once again.

Competing for the respectable honur of third place, Stinky and Ebail will duel it off! Only one of these men will win a Pokemon and a bonus cash prize!

Meanwhile, Xali and Derian will compete against each other for the joyous position of second place and the glorious title of first place!

    Both battles will be:
    AIM
    6v6
    Revolution
    No Helds
    Normal Terrain
    No Weather
    Sleep/Freeze/OHKO Clause
Self-KO Clause is in place (if you use a move that results in both Pokemon fainting, your opponent wins)
All pseudo-legendary/legendary banned (List of pseudo-legendary: Dragonite, Garchomp, Metagross, Salamence, Tyranitar)

Payments are $3K for the first place/third place winner, $2K for the second place winner/fourth place runner up, and $3k for referee, who doesnt get any Pokemon but will finally get their cash

You only have one week now to move to complete your battles! (26th of January). If all battles are completed before that time, than WOOOO, we have our winners!
If you accidentally type an EM during your battle, that isn't a cause for disqualification, just change your move :) However, due to what happened last week, if you send a psuedo and it isnt picked up upon, you will be DQed. So be careful!!!
And refs, PLEASE post your logs here, NOT in your reffing logs!!! You will recieve a tournament wage at the end of this round

I look forward to what should be two dramatic battles as people battle it off for the top prizes! Good luck to all four people involved (and to the refs that will have to do these) and may the best man win!

    Stinky vs. Ebail
Yanmega, Jolteon, Swampert, Aerodactyl, Skarmory vs. Jolteon, Togekiss, Scizor, Infernape, Heracross and Honchkrow

Stinky switched his Jolteon into a Thunder Wave. Both Jolteons spammed Agility, and Stinky's swapped out for Swampert while Ebail switched to Togekiss. Swampert immediately swapped back for Jolteon and Thunder Waved to neutralize Kiss's speed, but was immediately forced out due to Yawn. Aero came next, and was Encore'd into Rock Slide, not that it did Togekiss any good. Scizor joined the party next, and Stinky switched in Skarmory, who by the way now has to restart at Daycare. Skarmory threw down spikes while Scizor buffed up, and they began trading blows, Air Slashes (preceded by Metal Sound) for Att+4 Double Hits. Skarmory won out, although the extra Bullet Punch from Scizor was enough to let Infernape come in and finish the job. Next was Swampert, and without Grass Knot in play I don't need to tell you who won that fight.Next was Heracross. Yanmega switched into a Megahorn and one-shotted it with Air Slash. Aerodactyl switched back in to Honchkrow and used Rock Slide, but thanks to the threat of Sucker Punch couldn't actually finish the job. Instead it Roared. Seeing nothing but loss ahead, Ebail forfeited.

Stinky wins and gets 3k, third place and a Simple Pokemon
Ebail loses and gets 2k and jack else
I reffed and should get 3k

    Team Overkill vs Derian

Team Overkill: Ambipom, Umbreon, Infernape, Lanturn, Rotom-F, Arcanine
Derian: Arcanine, Porygon-Z, Froslass, Flygon, Lapras, Espeon.

So yeah Derian totally lost to a noob. TO used Umbreon's Mean Look to great effect. Infernape took the first kill, Close Combatting a weakened Arcanine. Porygon-Z took out Infernape with a Tri-Attack but fell quickly to a Quick Attack from Umbreon. Flygon got trapped in, Umbreon Baton Passed to Rotom. The fridge's Blizzard destroyed the Flygon. Froslass returned to KO Rotom. Derian tried to trick TO into KOing whilst Destiny Bonded but he didn't fall for it. Ambipom came in and finished of Froslass, but fell to a Brine from Lapras. Umbreon wore down Lapras and KO'd. Espeon put up a good fight once it got up a Focus Energy. But the Critical hits just didn't come fast enough and once Espeon took out Lanturn. TO's Arcanine came in and Agilitied and Crunched for the win. Overall a very fun match, but Derian got somewhat screwed over by my dice, with Icy Wind misses, a Sand Tomb miss and some other rolls.

Xali wins and gets 3k, and wins the Gauntlet Tournament.
Derian loses and gets 2k, and is the runner up.
They both get Pokémon as well.
I reffed and should get 3k

    Tournament Wages = $9000

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: THE FINALS!!!!

    THE PRESENTATION

It has been a very fun and exciting two months.

From the botched first attempt to a rocky start with this one, The Gauntlet has definitely raised a lot of eyebrows and earned a bit itself a bit of an irritating reputation from certain people.

However, I think that most people would have enjoyed themselves as the 64 people signed up and than the first round began. Though things began slowly, the weeks went by and we soon got our final four: two PE2Kers in the form of the Sunyshore Gym Leader Xali and official and Olivine Gym Leader Stinky, facing off against BMG represented by Flying Dojo Sensei Ebail and Snowpoint Gym Leader and winner of the first BMG Forum FFA Derian.

After two weeks, the four of them battled two of the others, and we now have our champions….

In a respectable third place, Stinky takes the stand.
After assisting with approving the Simple Mon raffle at the end of Round One, Stinky proved to be a great opponent as he fought his way to get to the final four. He lost against Xali, but then conquered Ebail in the third place battle. He has proved a strong competitor and is worthy of this position.
Stinky earns $5,000 and a Simple Pokemon of his choice, which was Snakekans
    [IMG]

In the honourable second place, Derian takes this well fought spot.
This man seems to be the King of Bulbagarden: he won the first forum FFA on here, he came second in the second one and has a strong record after holding Ice Dojo Sensei and currently is the Snowpoint Gym Leader. However, after battling his way through worthy opponents including friends, dojo senseis and even a veteran, Derian fought hard against Xali but fell to his might. But he truly earned second place.
Derian earns $7500 and a Medium Pokemon of his choice, which he made a Snover
    [IMG]

NOW….. *DRUMROLLS* AFTER SIX ROUNDS, OVER A MONTH OF BATTLING AND LOTS OF POKEBLOOD LOST, WE HAVE OUR WINNER…..
    XALI!!!!!!!
    *the crowd erupts*
Xali has fought a long and hard battle to get to this position. The well known and respected member was the only person to post his logs on PE2K at first, showing his pride and loyalty to the original website! He told me that PE2K will come out on top, and it seems that he was right. After defeating fellow veterans and friends and many BMG newcomers, Xali battled Derian in the final climatic battle and came out on top. You can go stand on your cruise ship Xali, because it seems your King of the World ;)
For conquering over 64 battlers, Xali earns himself $10,000 and a Hard Pokemon of his choice, that was a Smeargle
    [IMG]

Thank you all for taking part and for your support. Congratulations to everyone who took part and made it far (special mention to Ebail, who made it to fourth place even with a serious infection) and to the refs who gave up their time to make sure these battles happened (claim here), and I hope that it has proved popular enough that we may see a Gauntlet 3.0 in sometime over 2011 ;)

Congratulations to everyone once again, and thanks for the opportunity to run something like this :D Good luck with all your other battles, and have a Merry Black and White and a Happy End of the Dojo League

Nah, wasn't completely the dice. I made some bad calls and they for the most part cost me the battle.
Good game everyone, and it was fun participating in this gauntlet of a tournament!

Claiming 7500, Silver medal, and Blizzardbeard the Snover!
