Other people agree that it was a large mistake to make, and I did provide a list of psuedos with each post. I will consult Dog of Hellsing and possibly HKim when they are on next and see what their views are

Yeah but the ref did a mistake too--not reminding me that Gross was a psuedo. Plus wouldn't it be WAAAYYYYYYY unfair that you hadn't even contacted or informed me that I would get DQed? > <

I had to go after I made the decision as I was going to a movie, and when I came back online you had already replied, so I didn't have time.
And TED is getting a lesser pay for it as well. But it was TED's first battle for the Gauntlet that he reffed I believe, whilst you have been through two rounds and one of the main points of the tournament is that psuedos weren't to be used. You made the biggest mistake, so don't try blaming anyone else

Just a correction, I was the one who provided the list, since you kept refusing to put it up for some weird reason.

    AT:

I am not blaming anyone else on this, I am only saying that I wasn't the only one at fault here. :L

But w/e idc since I don't even have the power to complain. Next time, inform people privately with regards to getting them DQed so he/she/it could state their points next time.

Sure, you asked persons at a higher rank, but you haven't even asked mine or Haze's opinion. Or even TED's when WE were the ones were ACTUALLY there, in the first place.

~ Another point. (I'm not blaming another one, in case you're gonna mention it :p) If Haze also knew or didn't slipped off his mind that Meta was a pseudo, he should've informed me about it like the first turn that I accidentally believed that Jolteon learned Tbolt through level-up. He CORRECTED me at that point but when Meta was on the field nobody was talking at all, hence it slipped off of everyone's minds. This decision was totally weird and you didn't even bothered to get the opinions of the others who were participating at all.

If you use an illegal move, and the ref does not notice beforehand, your move fails; if you use an illegal Pokemon, and the ref does not notice beforehand...

That Pokemon is never sent and the user is down one Pokemon automatically? Hell if I know, but no decision about this is final... Yet. I do have to ask Haze, just wondering what he thinks...

    A. accept the win
    B. redo the battle
    C. continue battle from where Metagross was sent, except Metagross is automatically KO'd/removed
    D. other

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: Round Three!

    ^Tourney Battle^

AIM, 4v4, Revolution, No Weather, No Terrain, No Items/Helds, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Self-KO Clause

    Stinky(PE2K): Infernape, Lucario, Yanmega, Magnezone
    Ataro(PE2K): Yanmega, Jolteon, Infernape, Porygon-Z

Infernape managed to survive Yanmega by Calm Minding on the first Air Slash and Flamethrowering to KO on the second. Jolteon finished off with Quick Attack, and switched out to Infernape on Lucario, who managed to score a 5-hit Bone Rush. Extremespeed didn't KO, but activated Blaze, allowing Flamethrower to OHKO. Yanmega was sent and Jolteon was switched in to take the Quick Attack.

Then Stinky started getting a little (unintentionally) haxxy. Hypnosis hit and scored a 4-turn SLP roll, then Bug Buzz'd Jolteon twice and scored a SP.DEF drop, causing Ataro to switch in Infernape for death fodder. P-Z came in and was instantly Flinch'd by Air Slash. It then got Trick Room in and started Recovering and setting up, so Stinky switched Magnezone in. Mirror Shot missed, and Magic Coat would've had no effect anyway, so the turn ended Trick Room. Mirror Shot got a lucky ACC fall, which resulted in Tri-Attack missing when it didn't need to. However, then it DID hit... when Magnezone used Mirror Coat. Jolteon was sent in at 15% to fight, and took out Magnezone's remaining 4% with Discharge. But then Ataro mispredicted Yanmega's move and used Agility, allowing Bug Buzz to KO.

    Stinky: $2500 + proceeds to Round 4
    Ataro: $1500

    Me: $2500

    Current Tourney Salary: $5000

    ---

If my opinion counts, I think C is the best option too. Except if Ragnarok switched Metagross in (as opposed to sending it out from a KO), in which case, I think it should go from the turn before the switch in and Ragnarok just doesn't get a move for the next turn.

    Ebail Vs Black Cat

Crobat, Jolteon, Spiritomb, *I can't remember...will post later* | Lanturn, Infernape, Mismagius, Roserade

It started out with Lanturn Vs Jolt. Jolt made a quick agility and baton pass to spiritomb as lanturn par'd it next turn. After a nasty plot, Spiritomb when on a sweep, taking out lanturn, infernape and most of Roseade only after falling to a giga drain/Leech seed combo. Crobat took care of roseade.

Finally, Mismagius put up a good fight against bat, but a con ray against mag meant a couple of smax with some bites from bat.

    Ebail get 2.5K
    Black Cat gets 1.5K
    I get 2.5K

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: Round Three!

After discussing with Dog of Hellsing on AIM, we decided it would be unfair to force a rebattle when Haze did nothing wrong (despite what may be said), so Rag will remain disqualified for this serious breach of rules that were repeatedly stated and was half the point of the tournament.

This matter remains closed. If you have any other issues regarding this, VM, PM or IM me, put don't spam this thread with your views: the decision is final

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: Round Three!

Just posting here to reiterate the fact.

For any tournament or any battle period for that matter, you NEED TO READ THE RULES. I don't care if you skimmed them when the tourney was first posted; that's not good enough. You need to read the rules EACH AND EVERY TIME a new round is posted. You never know when things might be edited, and just skimming the rules is never a good excuse for breaking them.

TED was partly at fault for not paying attention to rules and not catching the incident.

Ragna, I'm sorry, but you really should have read the rules more closely. We can't just let you continue in the tourney, and doing a rebattle isn't fair to Haze when he did nothing wrong. Also, we can't accept "I didn't know" or "I forgot" as legitimate excuses: Someone may say that knowing full well they're breaking the rules, and they get away with cheating based on a flimsy argument that no one can prove or disprove. Because of that, severe actions must be taken. I'm not saying you're guilty of trying to cheat on purpose, but the possibility is why we can't just grant you a second chance. I hope you understand.

This decision stands unless overturned by Harry OR Haze publicly (aka here) agrees to a rematch.

Well, Derian has been online more often this week. It will either be a roll or Derian will be moved on for being online more

Re: The Gauntlet 2.0: Round One!

Its only been a short time since the last one of these posts, but Round Four is now ready to begin! These are the quarter finals, I believe, so I'm sure it will be very exciting

    - Derian and Monbrey both ended up on holiday, so a die was rolled by the honourable Pidge and Derian is moving on
    - DancingDodo and Legendary Master were in the middle of the battle when LM left, so we are waiting for them to end their battle

Here are the Round Four matchups! Only 8 people left... seems like only a short time ago we had 64!

    Derian vs Kai Mei
    Ebail vs Roulette Dares
    Dancing Dodo vs Stinky
    Xali vs Haze

    Battles are:
    AIM
    4v4
    Revolution
    No Helds
    Normal Terrain
    No Weather
    Sleep/Freeze/OHKO Clause
Self-KO Clause is in place (if you use a move that results in both Pokemon fainting, your opponent wins
    All pseudo-legendary/legendary banned

List of pseudo-legendary: Dragonite, Garchomp, Metagross, Salamence, Tyranitar

Payments are $2.5k for winner, $1.5k for loser, and $2.5k for referee.

You only have one week now to move to complete your battles! (15th of January). If all battles are completed before that time, we will move onto Round FIVE! If you wish to or need to forfeit (IE, have to go on holiday), please contact me and we can arrange it :)
If you accidentally type an EM during your battle, that isn't a cause for disqualification, just change your move :) However, due to what happened this week, if you send a psuedo and it isnt picked up upon, you will be DQed.
And refs, PLEASE post your logs here, NOT in your reffing logs!!! You will recieve a tournament wage at the end of Round Six, so you will get your money!

I hope the four battles go well! Good luck to everyone

This battle took a long time, not by staling as in by people away from keyboard. Yanmega was sent out with Sceptile. Sceptile switched to Togekiss. After a while Rotom-F was sent in a Blizzard KO Togekiss. Porygon-Z was sent in and Rotom switched to Arcanine who roared. Scizor was sent in and Flamethrower KO Scizor. After that Haze forfeited so Xail wins.
