    The battle for Champion of URPG! Lasted about 5 hours and would have been much longer if it weren't for a slight misplay by Ash that ended up having huge consequences. Things started off fast paced with Mega Gengar and Nidoking getting taken out together with a Destiny Bond, then they slowed down a bit for some U-Turning and switching. Ditto put a stop to Espeon, and then Porygon2 and Zapdos got matched up and Zapdos U-Turned into what would ultimately be Ash's downfall: Chandelure. This thing got scary after it choice-locked Porygon2 and I don't mean the spoopy ghost type kind of scary. With SpA,SpD+3, Spe+4 and a Sub it was able to take out the remained of Ash's team (good thing he didn't have a Zoroark). It didn't help that Ash missed all 5 of his Zap Cannons either lol. To be fair to Ash, he even put up a great last ditch effort with Mega Rayquaza, but Chandelure was well equipped with Clear Smog and was able to clean up. Both sides had some great predictions and this was truly a battle worthy of having the Champion title at stake. Congrats to Syn and his new Mesprit!!

    Elite Four Battle. Some interesting strategies on both sides. Ash's main method was to use Z-Celebrate on Espeon so it could pass a ton of boosts to a teammate. Xali countered this with a Psych Up from Mega Metagross which made it super scary, but it was ultimately unable to stay in on Mega Charizard X without fainting. (He would have switched to Arcanine but I oopsied and forgot a Wish). Mega Charizard had to also take itself out, though. At this point, however, Xali's team was quite scarce and Arcanine alone just couldn't pull it out for him. GG to both and congrats to Ash on his first new E4 win.
