The dice kind of hated Ebail on this one, giving him some low-percentage status effects and misses that hindered his strategy while Xali’s Thunder spamming was right on target. Ebail forfeited when he saw that his last ‘mons could be killed by lawn-mower Rotom, while Xali still had two unsent Pokemon in reserve.

Randoms shenanigans most definitely ensued. There were a ton of Pain Splits, which isn’t surprising given the team compositions. Things were fairly equal for most of the battle, but Rotom-W and Mismagius did a fair amount of cleaning. Also, Charizard cannot learn Stone Edge.

Randoms. Dragonite came out directly into the jaws of Sylveon and suffered a merciless demise at its cute little pink paws. Togekiss and Cradily's strong EMs allowed them to finish up.

The amount of time this battle took simply because of logistical mishaps was pretty insane. Despite that, it was a good fight. DP got pretty messed up early on by some badly-timed flinch hax, to the point where it looked like Arcanine was setting up for a cozy sweep. Things got tense at the end - Togekiss had a Nasty Plot boost and Water Pulse with Gliscor and Hitmonlee in front of it. While it managed to KO Gliscor without much trouble, good luck and a well-timed Screech allowed Hitmonlee to take down the Kiss and clean up Primarina.

Not a ton of surprises in this one. Roserade did me and my irrational hatred of Rotom-Wash proud, but Espeon killed it and put Incineroar down with a Yawn, allowing Garchomp to come in, get set up with a Swords Dance, and murder a couple of Pokemon. Blaziken and Decidueye shared cleanup duty.

Sealeo set up with Ice Body+Hail, and for a while its bulk was enough to carry it through, but Kadabra came in and ended its rein of terror. With Kadabra in, Mako decided that his ghosts didn't stand a chance.

Things were pretty even for a while; Ralin was pressing a strong advantage and even managed to cleanly OHKO A-Ninetales, but when Gengar came out, the scales started tipping. However, in the end, Ralin still had a slot left to counterpick from, and SE's sole survivor Blaziken didn't stand much of a chance against a fresh Swampert.

There’s something to be said for a randoms match that involves a bunch of accidentally switching in Pokemon who are going to die immediately. DP did their best, but Dicebot counter-picked in Weir's favor nearly every time. Houndoom did get off an impressive move, eating Sharpedo's Waterfall and killing the zippy beast with Counter.

A pretty good randoms match, though there were a lot of weird hax misses. DP’s switching was understandable, but did end up causing them problems; in the end, Weir kept his team in better condition and was able to keep on with one mon left over. The fact that Blaziken had a brief but eventful Power-Up Punch-induced sweep helped.

Things started out pretty normally, with Arcanine doing decently against Sylveon before Togekiss and a well-timed Toxic killed it. Unfortunately for Weir, Togekiss got an Ancient Power boost and it took four ‘mons to bring down the bird. While A-Tales was in, Gray rolled Aegislash, which absolutely obliterated A-Tales. Weir rolled a great counter in Incineroar, but also recognized that logically, not even buffcat was going to kill Aegislash and three more Pokemon.

Things were pretty back-and-forth for a while, but Mako’s advantage was solidified when his Frillish got an Ominous Wind boost. The only reason Onix stayed alive as long as it did was because Buneary and Turtwig wanted a piece of the rock snake.

Swellow did well, killing a couple of ‘mons by being the Bravest Bird. Weir got screwed on most of his RNG rolls - a couple of important attack misses and status rolls got Weavile and Scolipede off to a bad start, and the RNG was hellbent on putting Weir at a type disadvantage. Scizor stalled for a while, but it didn't have any ways to deal with Metagross and would most likely have been too beat-up to fight Meta's successor anyway.

I’m alive and reffing some randoms! Things went pretty wild at the beginning when paralysis was being passed back and forth on both teams like a hot potato. Also, it turns out that Slowking beats Slowbro in the Ultimate Showdown Of Ultimate Destiny. Things were really close, but in the end, Weir would have needed a little more luck than what he had to recover and pull off the win.

Xali rolled some 'mons that had no chance of even dealing damage to Frillish, but things turned back around really fast when Ditto turned into Frillish and got a full boost off of Ominous Wind. "Fritto" carried the battle for a while, and Morru wasn't able to counter Xali's momentum from there.

Haxorus had a little trouble when it was Toxipoisoned right off the bat, but it came back hard with a three-turn Outrage. Octillery might have had enough stamina to do serious damage to Dragonite otherwise, but having already taken damage one super-effective hit took it down.

I love randoms because they're the only place you'll see someone shoving a bunch of Water-types at a boosted Decidueye, which is what happened for like half of this battle. Gray's luck changed when he got Mamoswine onto the field, and between his own skillful maneuvers and Julio's mons lacking a few EMs that could have been critical, he managed to turn it around. Julio forfeit when Cofagrigus was the last one left against a near-full Gengar and a still-fresh Slowking.
