Finally voted. This round was a really good round!! Everyone should be proud!!!

 

Most depressing round of the comp IMO

 

Round 2 kept the heat coming! According to our voters, this was the most depressing round of them all ;-; With stories ranging from a sadistic Fletchling to a Pokemon War with WW1-esque features and a love story with lots and lots of decapitations, the grimdark genre definitely raged rampant throughout this round. That said, there can only be one story to go on! Now, for the tally!

Wow, what an explosive final round! Filled with heartbreak and adventure, darkness and mysteriosity, this was definitely a great way to conclude the normal voting rounds. Avid readers tore these stories apart and were left with an intense range of emotions! Let's see which story struck the loudest chord with the readers and will be moving on to the final round!!

With that, it's apparent that Smiles really took home the cake!! "When your body flew through the windshield, your spine soared out of place as if reaching out to me" really hooked the readers, and the tale got even more tragic as you read through it, taking you on Sammie and Dave's harrowing adventure. Some quality literature here, for sure. Round of applause for Smiles and her story, as well as nostalgic looks to the sky for our fallen tributes. Smiles, claim an additional 5k for making it this far, and best of luck in the final round!
