I’ll be playing my character self from my story. Unlike the youngster kids, he started his journey as a young adult of age 18. Having had adventures through six different leagues [Kanto, Johto, Orange Islands, Orre, Hoenn, and Sinnoh] he had seen it all and had become a great Trainer. He only had Kanto and Johto badges and had seen many of the 450 Pokemon known at the time. Because it hasn’t been written yet, the details of his past adventures are only a faint memory. We do know he was on top of the world when suddenly and without warning, he dropped out of existence. It was an event that he never got over even to this day. As if the pain wasn’t enough already, Stantler, one of his Pokemon that had been at his side for almost every step of the way for those 8 years, had passed away. And that was it, he stopped his adventure cold turkey and turned to isolation.
Two slow years later.
He received a curious visit from someone he had once traveled with which helped remind him how much he had left behind and unfinished. He was going nowhere staying here, perhaps it was time to finally do something about it. It had been 10 years since he started, but unlike riding a bike, it won’t be that easy to get on and become a Trainer again. Clearing through his stacks of Pokemon related mail, he came across a pamphlet of a far off location in the Orange Islands. Before the dreaded event, he was going to check this place out: The National Park. Might as well pick up where he left off and see where it leads...

5'10". Messy, medium length brown hair. Blue Eyes. Less than average build due to not eating and exercising properly. Black sunglasses. An old grey shirt showing a lot of wear around the collar. Light grey and dark green patch-like designed jacket with side pockets and a zipper down the front; also has a hood. Faded dark pants with frayed strings hanging off the bottom. Worn dark brown hiking shoes. Navy blue backpack that a typical school kid would use. Gasp, no hat!

[Personality]
Believes more in his own abilities than in trusting others. For this reason, he keeps to himself. Works better independently. Goal oriented and is determined to achieve it. Relies on common sense but can react on instinct when necessary. Has little interest in anything that doesn’t involve him. Afraid that his lengthy inactive time away has made him too weak to be a relevant Trainer. Afraid that they still don’t want him around any more. Self conscious. Easily bothered by the smallest things. Hardly smiles anymore. As for Pokemon, especially his own, he loves and respects each and every one.

Looks: Short brown hair and eyes, skinny and tall, wears a long sleeved shirt and basic jeans. Has a small scar above his left eyebrow.
Personality: A jokester, without a filter. He.."Tries" to be polite, but fails horribly. He speaks his mind much more than he should. He usually keeps to his small group of friends, and has occasional trouble making new ones. He usually has absurdly strong opinions about everything, and tends to get defensive when confronted. Usually favoring a balanced team of Pokemon, he'll take great lengths to find new types of Pokemon.

Backstory: Hailing from the Sinnoh Region, Poke began his travels to learn more about the Pokemon across the world. After reading about the National Park, he makes the long trek to the Park to see Pokemon in their habitats. Despite his..behavior, he usually becomes a lot calmer when studying Pokemon. He holds onto his dream of becoming a professor and teaching others the ways of Pokemon. He'll never leave home without his iOran for documenting his encounters.

Name: Kiadra "Adra" Ferlin

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Appearance: Adra stands at around 5'8" and, largely due to the fact that she does not have a home, she is fairly thin. Often wearing dark clothes, Adra has long black hair that parts on the right side of her head. She often wears clothes too big for her, mostly because she is homeless and cannot afford appropriate clothes. Currently her attire fits her slightly better, consisting of a vest over a blue-and-white striped long sleeved top, her head shrouded with a black beanie. A scarf hugs her neck and long pants bunch up at her ankles over thick boots. Her hair is unwashed and her skin unclean.

Personality: Blunt and sometimes uncaring, Adra tells it like it is and has little regard for the consequences. She doesn't seek to be intentionally rude or insulting, but her words have definitely been taken the wrong way. If she likes someone, she'll tell them, and if she doesn't, then they'll know. She prefers to be spoken to with minimal sugar-coating, as she finds euphemisms to be a waste of time. She can be kind when she wants to be, but only if she approves of the person. Her morals are quite solid, although that is not to say that she has a problem with stooping to a low level to get what she wants.

She will never lie and she considers that a strong point; falseness in her eyes is a weakness that she is often keen to exploit. Every person she meets who lies to her is subject to her hate, and she has no issue cutting people off if they stuff with her. She thinks of herself as morally superior to many she meets, and to these people she is often cold or unresponsive. She will not resort to demeaning another person unless it benefits her; in other words, she does not exhibit cruelty unless she deems it necessary or, even deadlier, deserving.

Her rigid view of right and wrong has driven her to leave people in the gutter after they have mistreated her, and she will not hesitate each time. This being said, she does not trust quickly, but she will align herself with those who show loyalty and true purpose. She is hasty and sometimes acts without evaluating her options, but simultaneously is very quick to make decisions that she knows she would stick by even without extensive pondering. She can be kind of she deems the person worthy; she deems every pokémon worthy of kindness, viewing them much differently to humans. She is not a warm person, but finds it refreshing to be around those who are.

Backstory: Adra was born in Kalos. She was raised in her parents' family home in Aquacorde Town which was attacked when she was a young girl. Criminals stole her away and raised her from the age of seven at their headquarters near Snowbelle City. At first she was terrified, but as the years went on, she braved the storm and became a child of the organisation. They stole pokemon, trained them, and sold them for high prices when the Kalos Government was cracking down on dangerous pokémon. As the rate of pokémon hostility rose, the prices of the stolen creatures escalated in unison, which developed more work for the crime organisation. Adra was trained in the art of pokemon battling and was always taught to use them as tools. However, she quickly became close partners with a ralts, and contrary to the crime syndicate's teachings, she found that this pokemon was far more than just a tool. However, she was forced to part ways with it when they discovered her empathy and switched her to another division of the organisation which had very little to do with raising and battling pokémon, and more to do with maintaining freshly poached ones in cells and feeding them on a daily basis.

The entire time she was a part of this terrible organisation, her superiors told her that she was doing the right thing. At that point in her life, she did not know any better and simply accepted what she was told. With nowhere else to go, she remained with them, believing she was doing good work despite the questionable circumstances she and those she knew were often forced into. At the age of fifteen, just as she began to start seriously questioning her position and the role the organisation played in Kalos after witnessing some particularly disturbing events take place, Adra was introduced to a girl two years her senior who was in a similar position. The girl was much more confident and sure of herself, however, which Adra was amazed by. The two became very close friends and it wasn't until Adra was sixteen that she discovered the extent of the organisation's evil, and was horrified to find that the friendship with that girl had been a fabrication the entire time to keep Adra in line. It was around this time that Adra sabotaged not only part of the syndicate, but also the girl who had lied to her for over a year by freeing a large portion of caged pokémon of which she was in charge. These pokémon were quick to tear all those they could reach to pieces, leaving little more than blood stains and shreds of fabric in their wake. Since that day, Adra resented lies and falsities and has never turned back, ensuring that she would never again lie in her lifetime.

Since these incidents, Adra has laid low in Kalos, travelling from town to town, and taught herself how to survive on the streets while evading her old ties with the organisation. At the age of 20, with no direction in her life, she used what little cash she had to board a ship headed to the National Park in an effort to restart her life and reclaim some meaning.

Personality: Avid gamer/artist/escapist.

Quiet among strangers, and strongly introverted, she hates when people describe her as shy. Preferring the term antisocial, she rather dislikes the fear that shy implies, (though there's certainly heaps of anxiety) considering her aversion to other humans more of a loathing. Pokémon on the other hand, she cannot get enough of. Whether friends or strangers, if there're Pokémon around, you can bet these are the people she'll be talking to. Conveniently, they tend to like her as well.

Chaotic good, but would like people to think she's chaotic neutral. She's got a rather strict non-violence policy (though is content to train Pokémon with their consent), and can't walk past a Pokémon in need of assistance. She's also got a well deserved resting ***** face and a strong sarcastic streak. And despite honestly just being adorable, she somehow manages to instill a decent amount of fear in those who tick her off. She's never been sure what's she doing to make this happen, but she's quite content with it.

Description: Already rather short and constantly slouching, as well as almost literally always donning a hoodie that could easily fit two of her, she most often appears to be hiding from the world (though people often don't seem to get the memo o_o). Her wardrobe consists entirely of jeans and t-shirts that are either sarcastic or mark her as part of a fandom. Insufferably baby-faced, she couldn't get into an R rated movie without ID or a buddy.

Personality: Both of his parents were murdered when he was seven, he witnessed it all, and he very narrowly escaped the same slaughter by pure chance. Markus isn't necessarily broody for the unpleasent experience-bitter and sarcastic, yes, but he very rarely touches upon it himself. This experience has also left him with a strong sense of morals, justice and a passionate personality; both in raising Pokemon and also for the rule of law in general. Markus doesn't let this passion get too much of a hold of him-when the going gets tough, Markus can present an extensive level of focus and nail problems right on the head.
Description: Markus had an embarrassing accident with bleach; his hair is pure white, with its original red only barely peaking through around the base of his hair. He tries to ensure that this isn't too often seen via a red hoodie. His brown eyes and angular face present an intense glare for anyone who catches his ire, and his skin presents the subtlest of tans. There isn't too much standout about him beyond that-a black backpack, blue jeans and dark purple sneakers built more for durability than for style.

So here we are again!

Name: Margo Sterling.
Age: 26.
Gender: Female.
Personality: A thoughtful, quiet sort, Margo is the type of person who keeps a level head in nearly all situations. While she’s cautious and shy, she can be very friendly once you get to know her, and likes most people so long as they respect her space. She’s used to Pokemon battling and surviving in the wild - while she never managed to grab hold of the Champion title, she’s earned all of Hoenn’s eight badges, and she can hold her own against most Trainers and Pokemon. The National Park drew her right away due to its variety of Pokemon and people. Working as a Ranger is a good fit for her - she gets to help other Trainers on their journeys and explore these strange new wilds.
Description: Overall, Margo looks pretty unassuming. Her 5’6” height isn’t very impressive; she’s a bit on the chubby side, but not extremely overweight, either. Her hair and eyes are black and her skin is dark tan, characteristic of a native of Pacifidlog, Hoenn. She tends to wear green, and dresses warmly and practically. She has a pretty face, with gentle, rounded features and a proclivity towards a contented smile. The brown canvas bag she slings over her shoulder is weatherbeaten, heavy, and bedecked with the Hoenn badges she’s earned.

Personality: Opal is a knowledgeable, witty, slightly cocky person, though she can be a bit flighty. While she tends to her responsibilities dutifully, she has a tendency to shirk work and avoid large-scale commitments. Furthermore, she’s also very impulsive and not particularly disciplined; she likes to jump from thing to new thing but tends to freeze when she feels that something actually important is riding on her shoulders. Opal is also an idealistic and passionate person. She’s also quite cheerful and good-humored, although she is out of touch at times when it comes to social situations. Furthermore, she’s very intelligent and quick on the draw; she’s worked with Pokemon for a long time due to her parents’ careers as professional trainers and has a lot of knowledge on them as a result.
Description: Opal is 5’7” and fairly fit; most of the muscles in her body are lightly toned from her constant activity. Her skin is light brown, broken up by a few scars - mostly about the arms, though she has one plainly visible on her chin as well - from less-than-pleasant Pokemon encounters. She keeps her curly, very dark brown hair cut short. Usually, she dresses simply in cargo shorts or pants, tee-shirts, and little-to-no makeup, though she also has a leather jacket that she wears when she’s dealing with rough Pokemon.
