~~Ranger Bio: Tella Marr~~

Name: Tella Marr

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Description: Tella is a young woman with the almond-shaped eyes of a Kanto native, eyes which at first glance appear dull blue but will in certain circumstances flash an unnerving ice-blue. She stands with easy confidence and moves with the grace of a martial artist. She carries the six Poké Balls that contain her team at all times, clasped securely into an understated but high-tech black belt that can eject them all at once in an emergency.

Tella's clothing, like her belt, is chosen to be hyper-practical: she owns a variety of long-sleeved black jackets, and wears thicker or lighter ones depending on the weather. In between the jacket and one of her usual white shirts, she wears a bulletproof vest, hidden when the jacket is fully done up. A pair of heavy-duty black polyester pants with perfectly fitted patches of Kevlar sewn onto them match her black Tauros-leather boots, which are strengthened with circular heavy-plastic reinforcements. All in all, the whole getup looks combat-ready— the kind of thing someone would wear onto a battlefield. She carries a compact black weatherproof backpack, one that bears a multitude of compartments to keep assorted survival gear and other necessities organized and safe.

Personality: Serious, calm, and perpetually cautious to the point of paranoia, Tella seems to always be prepared for the worst. Her supreme competence in survival and combat skills ensures that 'the worst' had better be just as prepared for her. For all her hypercapable skill in the field, though, Tella is neither comfortable nor adept at dealing with other human beings, preferring the company of Pokémon or, failing that, solitude. The scars of past traumas still linger on Tella, colouring her attitude towards things like raised voices, certain phrases, or firearms. She's here working in the Park as an escape: after a violent and unrelenting decade of constant struggle, survival, and battles, she has come here to simply be for a while.

Personality: Sean is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves Pokémon.
Description: Sean has brown hair, blue eyes and wears a brown shirt and blue jeans. He wears a Poké Ball keychain.
History: Sean was born in Pallet Town. Sean got his starter Pokémon, Charmander and bought his Togepi at a Poké Mart.

It would be good to have a little more depth in your description, so that others who Roleplay with you have more details to work with when imagining your character!
For personality: What kinds of things does Sean do that make him seem happy-go-lucky? What does he do when he's not battling or capturing new Pokémon? Are there any quirks or neat skills that set him apart from most other fourteen-year-olds?
For description: What other gadgets, tools, and clothes does Sean usually wear, other than the Pokéball keychain and his shirt and jeans? If you were, say, drawing him, what other details would you draw aside from hair, eyes, shirt and jeans? (For example, what are his shoes like? Where does he keep his Poké balls when he's not using them? What about other gear?)

Although we don't require you to write a novel to describe your character, we do suggest that you write at least a short paragraph (3-5 sentences) for Personality and Description. It's good practice for the RP! =)

Name: Matthew

Age: 15

Personality: A native Unovan, Matthew came to the National Park in hopes of finding Pokémon not indigenous to his home region. He dislikes fighting wild Pokémon, and prefers bonding with them through other methods, but will certainly order his own Pokemon to strike back when under attack. He also sees the Park as an opportunity for his own Pokemon to take a breather from daily Unovan life, since it can get very hectic, especially in big cities like Castelia.

Description: Matthew is a slim, 5'8" white teenage boy with messy blond hair and green eyes who typically wears a light blue T-shirt, khaki shorts, and cream shoes, though he will wear warmer clothing (such as a darker blue coat and brown pants) in colder climates. He doesn't like being in large crowds and tends to be nervous about what other people think of him. This makes him likely to do whatever he's told, which can be taken advantage of. However, he's also a lot calmer when around his (or anyone's) Pokémon, having always found it easier to relate to and bond with them than humans. He has a strong affinity for Fire, Fighting, and Psychic Pokemon, and he hopes to meet lots of them while at the Park.

Pokémon: Sonic, a determined but hardheaded Typhlosion; Haku, a laid-back, hesitant Dragonair; Tesla, an impatient Luxray; Eggshell, a Togetic who dislikes direct fighting; and Spiral, an impetuous and crafty Omanyte.

Yeee Unova. Mostly okay. I think I would prefer a little more description of what your character is like, but on the whole it's okay. How does he wear his hair? Is he fit? Slim? Bulky? Does he slouch when he walks? Is he nervous in crowds? This can totally be more than just straight physical attributes (although those can get pretty specific too!). What about when he wanders into Mt. Oktori and it's cold?

 

Name: Kaiden

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Personality: He is pretty shy and quiet most of the time due to anxiety which is not just for Pokemon but people as well. He is usually more timid around larger Pokemon unless it's a dragon type as he spent his whole life around them. But is very bubbly and positive. He loves Dragon type Pokemon as he was raised in the Dragon village in Unova. He has the same ability as Iris which has helped him. He loves traveling and sweets. He is also afraid of Bug type Pokemon as when he was little he was attacked by A swarm of beedrill. When his Anxiety gets bad he hides behind his Pokemon as their his family to him. He is very independent and strong willed when he isn't super anxious which doesn't happen quite as often as it seems. He hates people like Team Rocket and people who are mean. He stands up for the little guys. He always carries art and emergency supplies. He prefers sketching Pokemon to anything else.

Description: 5"5, slender and toned,Black hair long and sometimes tied in a bun, he usually wears bright colors and very fashion forward clothes they are always weather and situation appropriate. He prefers to wear baggy sweaters and tight fitting pants in cold or colder weather and in warm weather a tank top and shorts with sunglasses. But really if it's in a fashion magazine from Unova and he can afford it he wears it.

History: Younger sibling to Lance and distant Cousin to Claire of Blackthorn (Hey I love dragon types and love being creative sue me lol) has raised Pokemon as he is a Trainer and Breeder

Name: Ori Kami

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality: Overall is usually a cheerful, friendly person, Ori is fairly smart and usually pretty good at thinking things through beforehand, although sometimes her impatience gets the best of her. She's quite good with Pokémon, and prefers Dark, Poison, and Fairy types. She's a very musical person and tends to hum under her breath often. She's from Laverre City in Kalos, and speaks with a bit of an accent to her words. Like her favorite partner Pokémon, Zoroark, she can be a trickster at times, and isn't above having a few laughs at someone else's expense.

Description: Ori has long, dirty blonde hair often dyed with stripes of color- purple, at the moment- usually tied into a braid. She plays with it when she's nervous or uncertain. She's about five foot four, has a tendency to skip every so often when she walks, and has hazel eyes and a scattering of freckles across her knows. She has long fingers, good for playing an instrument, and a scar on her right shoulder where a Snubbul once bit her. She wears bronze wireframe glasses, a leather cuff bracelet in her left wrist and a watch on her right, plus a simple bronze coin on a chain around her neck.

Partner Pokémon:
Ixoki, a female Zoroark and Ori's first ever Pokémon. She's quite a prankster, and has a naughty nature. She will even occasionally prank and mess with her own trainer, who will always give as good as she gets.

Blue Steel, Ori's other Pokémon, is a Metagross that could best be described as adamant. It isn't a very affectionate Pokémon, and is often very solemn and stoic, but is very loyal to its trainer and will always stick by her side.

Gender:male

Personality:Is a really nice person and loves to battle,regardless if we wins or loses.He isn't the smartest person,but everything he's does he has fun with.Connor is also very athletic.He trains with his Pokémon everyday to make sure they get stronger.

Description:Has blonde hair and blue eyes.His height is around five foot nine.One of connors knees is really bad from training all the time,but it doesn't seem to hold him back.His outfit resembles his favorite Pokémon Braixen.A yellow hat and a yellow T-Shirt,with black pants and black shoes.

Braixen was Connors first Pokémon and also his strongest.Braxien has a modest nature and is a female.It knows powerful moves like fire blast and psyshock.Braixen will always listen to its trainer without question.For some reason,Connor refuses to evolve it into Delphox.


Grovyle was connors second Pokémon.One day Connor found Grovyle on a beach completely passed out.He was holding something called the relic fragment,Sonthing Connor hasn't seem to figure out.Grovyle Has an adamant nature and is a male.His favorite move is leaf blade.Like braxien,Connor refuses to evolve Grovyle.

Name: Emmy Kelvin
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Personality: In a word, Emmy is simple. In both senses of the word.

Emmy is so perky and happy-go-lucky, it's a wonder she's even allowed to exist in a world oversaturated with perky, happy-go-lucky Pokemon trainers. Although she's from Unova, where it's not rare to start a Pokemon journey as a teenager, Emmy would have been raring to go at age 10 -- if her parents had let her. Instead they made her continue school so she would have the smarts to aid her on her quest, not that she paid much attention; she thinks an "acute triangle" is a funny way to refer to a Rotom.

The OC trainer trifecta: happy-go-lucky, enthusiastic, and slightly dumb. What a disaster.

That's not to say Emmy has no good points. She's persistent, finding it difficult to give up on anything until she's fully exhausted all options. She's caring, but a bit clueless when it comes to other people's (and Pokemon's) emotions, unless they're really obvious. And she's slow to anger, unless it's on behalf of one of her friends or Pokemon. She's determined, fully believing that she's the next Unova champion in the making.
Description: Emmy is a 5'2" white girl with short, messy blonde hair. She has green eyes, a smattering of freckles, and a slightly athletic build. She prefers to dress in practical clothing: Green and white sneakers, green cargo pants (slightly torn), a yellow t-shirt, and a thin green-and-brown jacket over top with a multitude of pockets. She does carry a backpack to store her food and sleeping bag in, but anything she might need while walking around goes in one of her many pockets (and may never come out). You can never be too prepared!

Personality: because Naetle faced bullyng because in one activity of the school he wear a Naetle costume (Yeah, bullyng even exist in the pokemon world) in the elementary and part of the higschool he hates the team work, at some point the other boys make friend groups and play whit each other but not whit he and at somepoint he realize that he doesnt need someone to make things that other people only can do whit help, so he grew whit a selfish and individualist personalitie, this is the best qualitie but at the same time is their worst, at the same time he knows how much worth things like (Maybe because he has an spectator of all of all things and he watched a lot of people and pokemon wasting that things) Friendship, love, Loyalty, Faithfulness, Tolerance, Life, Honorability so if some people or pokemon give to he some of thats principies, he surely return it in a bigger way.

Personality: Derpghost is a quirky, smart kid who generally is friendly and enthusiastic, though failures and harsh words hit him a little hard. He loves battling and constantly tries out new strategies, always using his pokemon's characteristics to their fullest. He tends to be a little overconfident, though that gets beaten down in the heart of battle. Despite all of this, he's a bit a of a loner, really only connecting with his pokemon.

Description: A pale, skinny boy that's small for his age, messy brown hair, and blue eyes. He is always wearing a black hoodie and oversized winter boots, no matter what.

Personality:
Tamer is a very shy and lacks social intelligence, which makes him seem harmless at times. But when a Pokémon Battle comences, he completely changes into a very active and jolly person. He is very loving and caring towards his Pokèmon and friends, and very protective as well. Outside battle he is a regular guy, with too little to say due to his shyness. It is hard for him to make friends and that makes him feel sad sometimes, wishing he can change that - which makes him querky - in order to make friends with everyone, just like he could with Pokémon. He loves quite places, nature, the sea and he prefers small towns over big cities.

Tamer is a regular 5'6" tall guy that weighs around 148lbs. He has dark brown hair, a little bit long and messy. He has wide shoulders, and a fit body mass with a Mediterranean skin tone. His eyes are a mixture between hazle and dark-green. Tamer wears standar-cut jeans pants, white and red tennis-shoes, a plain maroon T-Shirt and a light brown leather jacket. He wears a special back-pack made for Pokémon Trainers and Adventurers. He wears his Pokéballs on his black leather belt.

The bio is fine, and we can get started! I do have some advice moving forward, though: it might help you to think of some backstory for Tamer, e.g. what part of the Pokémon world he came from; what his past as a Trainer is; what his goals are; and why he chose to come to the Park. Making reference to backstory is a great way to add interest and content to a post, for instance having your character remember a situation that was "kind of like this battle" partway through a battle post, or spend some time while travelling getting lost in thought thinking about what he wants to do after he finishes here at the Park. =) These are common tools that roleplayers tend to get more comfortable with as they get used to the ins and outs of the back-and-forth posting format!

I always have p. dark chars, so thought I'd do something on the lighter-hearted scale for once for my Ranger SU:



Name: Babbs

Age: 74

Gender: Female

Personality:
A gentle, kind soul that is thoroughly and classically young at heart. She is a fiery, spirited old woman who refuses to give up no matter what the task. Babbs is incredibly down-to-earth and old-fashioned. The elder is incredibly passionate about Pokemon and is almost too protective of the Park. Cares for every life, no matter how small. Her motherly instinct is top-tier; she will try to nurture just about anything that breathes. Generally easy-going but a bit eccentric. Known for reminiscing about "the old days" but making up total baloney when talking about them to lighten up the mood of nervous or stoic Trainers. Famous for getting names almost right but almost never quite exactly. She makes a mean veggie soup.

In the face of an emergency, she is eerily calm and calculating, traits accentuated by unwavering focus. While she can carve out a way to survive almost anywhere, wooded areas are where her survival skills truly shine. Combine that with her freaky affinity for whipping up crazy concoctions from natural materials in a pinch, there’s a good suspicion that she was some kind of forest witch, but nobody can be quite sure. All that's certain now is that she lives for being a Ranger, and puts her job first no matter what.

Description:
She's old, but looks ancient. Papery skin stacks winkles about her narrowed eyes, flowing down to sagging cheeks and drooping jowls. She has a low, wide nose. Eyes are a brilliant blue, stark in contrast to wispy white brows. Snowy hair is always tucked up into an immaculate little bun at the back of her head. Small, round red bauble spears the thin, white hair tie that holds it in place. She's never without her little string of pearls that sits comfortably about her neck, or her matching little pearl earrings.

Babbs' bent posture puts her at a constant 5'2", shorter than most of the Park's visiting teenagers by far. She's always hunched over her gnarled cane--a twisted, knobby crook that curls into a convenient, round grip at the top. Perhaps her poor posture can be attributed to the humorously-massive hiker backpack she carries strangely easily on her back. The woman has a strange spryness and power about her. Though she looks like she'd have issue getting around, it seems like nothing really stops her. One almost wonders if her cane is just for looks or for spells. Sometimes one wonders if it's a weapon of mass destruction.

Not matter the climate, she dons a plain, washed-out red kimono that sweeps all the way down to the ground. Beneath this loose, concealing garment, she stacks layers upon layers of... well, layers. Cold-resistant clothing beefs up her frail-built form to a more normal bulk beneath the kimono, effectively hiding how prepared she really is. Well, except for the massive, steel-toed beige combat boots that poke out from beneath the long sweep every once in a while.
