INCOMING TACTICAL SU!

This was originally for Slenderman/Silent Hill RP I came up with several months ago, and I liked the idea so much of introducing Slendy into the Park that I decided to retcon this character to use here. And just think, once she's had some time to run around as a Trainer, she'll be a Ranger, taking all of you through the Park while Slendy stalks all of you in the background. ENJOY THE PARK .

Oh, b/c this was basically a tweaked version of my original SU, it's...kinda long. Sorry about that.

Personality:
Krystal is a very social, outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people. She isn’t shy and will gladly strike up conversations with strangers. She is easy to get along with and has a large sense of humor, and will do her best to cheer up someone who’s clearly unhappy whether she knows them or not. She tries her best to be optimistic, feeling that being depressed and angry leads to nothing but heartache and sorrow in the end. Even in hard times she does her best to find the silver lining.

Krystal also tends to put others before herself, which means she usually neglects her own needs or desires. She dislikes competition and isn’t a fan of arguing; this doesn’t mean she’ll hide or lie about her beliefs just to avoid a confrontation. She usually just ignores someone if they harass her for what she believes in. She refuses to be baited into petty disagreements and has a strong distaste for people who enjoying heckling others.

Krystal doesn’t get mad very often, as her positive outlook on life and general easy-going nature let her shrug off comments or actions that would fluster others. However, a good way to make her very angry is to hurt someone she cares about, no matter whether physically, emotionally, or mentally. She hates physical confrontation as much as verbal confrontation, but won’t hesitate to throw a punch in defense of a loved one. Thanks to the past several years of her working out, she’s actually pretty tough and can easily hold her own in a melee fight.

Krystal is one of those people who is very trusting, while taking betrayal very poorly. She can become very close to someone within a matter of days, which isn’t surprising considering she’ll stand up for someone she doesn’t even know. While she doesn’t react well to people who turn out to be untrustworthy, she can’t help but give everyone she meets the benefit of the doubt. There are those who think this open nature is to counter the fact that she was nearly abducted when she was younger; instead of letting her fear get the best of her, she overcame it and became the friendly person she is today.

Description:
Krystal is about 5’6” tall and weighs around 115 lbs. She is lean and slim, and has subtle muscles thanks to her habit of going to the gym to work out for an hour every day. She has hip-length burgundy hair and eyes that are such a striking shade of electric-blue they almost look like they’re glowing. She could be considered pretty, but sees herself as average in terms of looks. Her hair is usually done up in a simple braid to keep it out of the way.

Krystal usually wears lighter clothes, preferring colors like white, tan, and baby-blue over darker colors. She has several pairs of steel-toes shoes (a force of habit after she was nearly kidnapped in her younger years), and these are generally the only dark things she wears.

Krystal has three long parallel scars that run from her right side to her belly button. She can’t remember how she got them, but knows it was something bad that caused them. She has a habit of wearing long shirts to reduce the risk of anyone seeing the scars should her shirt hike up a bit, as she finds them ugly and is extremely self-conscious about them. People who do notice them are given a very curt, “I don’t remember” whenever they ask about them.

Background:
For as long as she could remember, Krystal had been able to see things other people couldn’t. Ghosts, spirits, demons, entities…whatever you wanted to call them, Krystal had the ability to perceive them and converse with them. She quickly learned not to mention these beings to her parents or other people after realizing they were different from the imaginary friends other children had. On top of that, the spirit of an elderly man named John had explained to her in one of his first visits that Krystal was special for being able to see him, but should keep the knowledge to herself since others wouldn’t understand and might think her odd. Many of the things she could see were neither human nor Pokemon, but only a very small number of them ever scared Krystal, and even fewer ever tried to hurt her. Most of the beings she met were rather protective of her, and would fend off others that meant her harm.

When she was eight, however, Krystal began to see something that terrified her quite a bit. It was a tall man dressed in a black suit with a red tie and no face. She would normally see him when she woke up in the middle of the night, but would be too afraid to cry or call for her parents. Sometimes spirits would try to comfort her, telling her to not be afraid of what she called the Skinny Man, that if she wasn’t afraid he couldn’t hurt her. During the several months she saw him, Krystal began to develop strange symptoms such as bouts of sudden coughing, agonizing headaches, and frequent nosebleeds. She also became extremely fearful, to the point where her parents had her seeing a child psychiatrist. The weekly sessions didn’t help her at all, and instead her condition grew worse.

Krystal abruptly went missing about a month before her ninth birthday, before returning one day before her birthday. When she returned it was in a nearby park, where a couple who recognized her from various missing flyers took her to the police station. Krystal had no memory of the time she was gone, but the strange symptoms she’d been experiencing had cleared up completely and she no longer suffered from her debilitating fear and night terrors. It was when she returned that her parents discovered the three scars on Krystal’s side and stomach, but the girl didn’t remember how she’d gotten them. Her parents, rather paranoid that their daughter may once again be abducted, decided to pull some strings and get a Pokemon a year before she was officially allowed to get one. They managed to contact a Breeder of relatively fair repute and obtained a Tynamo for Krystal.

Things were relatively normal until she turned fourteen. She was walking home from the library after night had fallen when a blue car started to slowly drive beside her. After about three blocks the car stopped and an older man got out, following her on foot for another two blocks. He then rushed at the teenager and tried to grapple her to the ground, but thanks to the fact that she’d already been working out after school for about a year, the girl was able to wiggle away. Her only Pokemon at the time, the Tynamo who’d by now evolved into an Eelektross, had been left at home as she was sick with a mild cold. Thankfully a kick to the groin left the man temporarily incapacitated, and Krystal took the time to run to the nearest house. After explaining what had happened, the people called the police and the offender was arrested about twenty minutes later.

When she turned 15, Krystal finally left to go on her Pokemon journey, accompanied by the only Pokemon she had. However, the first night of her adventure saw her meeting a being she hadn’t seen in years; the Skinny Man. However, there was no fear this time, much to Krystal’s surprise and suspicion. Nothing happened that night other than the Skinny Man simply watching her all night. Cannon, Krystal’s Eelektross, seemed jumpy and wary with the Skinny Man around, but she made no effort to attack him. Krystal eventually fell into an uneasy slumber. For the next several days the Skinny Man seemed to trail Krystal everywhere, never coming too close and never trying to communicate. That, however, change on the eighth day of her journey.

This time, the entity approached while Krystal and Cannon were resting from a tough Trainer battle. This was the day he spoke for the first time since Krystal remembered since she’d first started seeing him all those years ago. All he said was that she would one day be called to duty, and that he was merely checking in on her to make sure she was “progressing” as expected. He also revealed that he was the one who’d taken her during the time she’d went missing, but didn’t offer any details of the lost weeks. Afterward, he left and Krystal didn’t see him again for nearly five more years.

When they next met, it was roughly five months after Krystal turned 20. She was touring Unova and encountered him as she was coming out of Twist Mountain. Once she got over the shock, she was told it was time for her to start making herself useful; apparently, her “duty” involved using her ability to see and communicate with the supernatural to help deal with problematic beings. Quite against her will, Krystal was drafted into a sort of supernatural detective unit, with her commanding officer being the Skinny Man. It was a rude interruption into her life, but the young woman eventually came to terms with how things had turned out.

Nowadays, Krystal mainly handles “cases” in her home region of Sinnoh, and has had a lot of free time thanks to how efficient she’s become in her job of sorts. However, it doesn’t pay her bills, so she’s been training to become a Ranger for the National Park. She’s been at it for the past few months, dutifully visiting the Park as Trainer to get used to the layout of the island and to get a feel for what it would mean to be a Ranger. She usually manages to complete her runs without needing to leave to handle a case, but many times the Skinny Man has trailed after her during her visits.

So yeah. This is my new for fun character since Jessie's not usable at the moment and I don't feel like continuing on with that sub-plot at the moment. SO YEAH. HERE'S GRACE.


Name: Grace Stone

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Personality: Grace is a quiet person. She’s fairly shy, spends little time with others, and only talks when she has to. However, Grace has an explosive imagination and a brilliant mind. She currently attends a prestigious Pokémon Academy in Johto with a complete scholarship due to her excellence in Pokémon documentation and study (she received a Pokedex as a young child and filled up almost all of it.) She currently holds the valedictorian seat of her academy and is often hailed as the smartest student to walk through the halls.

Well, at least that’s what people think. Grace is a bit of a liar. Her starting Pokémon, Alakazam, is the true brains behind Grace’s success. Suggesting that Grace is dumb would be false, but it’s her Alakazam’s cataloguing memory and telepathic abilities that have allowed her to achieve such fame. Because of this, Grace is often scared of talking to others because she feels they’ll catch onto her lie. Likewise, Grace is even more evasive when she is without her Alakazam, as she is incredibly dependent on the Pokémon to uphold the illusion.

Outside of Alakazam, Grace is drastically different. She’s an extreme extrovert by nature, but the forced introversion has hampered her true personality. She’s incredibly lonely, as she’s had to push everyone away to protect herself. Because of her constant façade, Grace is incredibly self-conscious. Her physical health has deteriorated from her mental state, and she's slim to the point where it's unhealthy and a danger to herself. She's working to control this aspect of her life, but the constant pressure has only made things worse.

Honestly, all Grace wants to do is to be herself. She’s not ungrateful for the future Alakazam has helped build, but the extreme expectations and pressure have had their tolls on the young woman. Mentally, emotionally, and even physically, Grace is hardly the same person as she was before meeting her Abra. Her constant and discreet visits with a specialized psychologist has made Grace realize that she has to get back in touch with who she truly is. As such, Grace applied for a grant at the academy so she could travel to the National Park. The practically untouched and raw data in the park, as well as Grace's honor among the academy, has given her the chance to head to the remote island. Grace hopes to tap into her old self while on the island and hopefully return as a better person.

Description: Grace is quite meek. Standing at 5’2’’, she’s hardly intimidating. She’s also notably thinner than healthy, but this is a result of her mental instability and increased self-conscious. She has shoulder-length, light auburn hair. It typically is left down, but Grace occasionally braids it. Her clothes aren't extremely fashionable, but she still tries her best to look good. Informal blouses and standard skinny jeans are her favorites, but she deviates from this style on a regular occasion. She has amber eyes which are generally hidden behind a pair of sleek glasses. She usually switches between ankle-high boots and regular sneakers.

Posting for my second character, who will become my new Ranger character, since I always feel like changing things every so often.

Name: Arctas Regard
Age: 25
Gender: Male

Description: Standing at a respectable 5'9", he has slightly longer, steel-colored hair with bright crimson eyes. He has somewhat of a muscular build, from trekking through the mountains and valleys of the National Park so often. He grew up just outside of a city; not really urban yet not quite rural. He has learned to love the wilderness and the concrete jungle alike, and finds solace in both. With a strong love for earthly types such as ground, steel, and rock, he grew to become a strong Pokemon trainer alongside his partner Lucario. There is rarely a moment that passes when the two of them aren't exploring or battling together, since they have been this way since the Pokemon hatched as a Riolu.

Personality-wise, he is a rash young man, which rubbed off on his partner Lucario. He can be headstrong with a bit of a tongue, but has a keen sense of justice. That said, he isn't normally a "white knight" as some Pokemon trainers like to behave, rather helping people on a whim and only if he sees them as a strong ally. He tends to be quite mature around strangers, but around those he trusts and feels comfortable with, he lets loose and shows his more rough-around-the-edges side.

Around the fairer sex, he tends to flirt in a suave manner, and likes to tease. He likes being in control, and is a born leader. His knowledge of Pokemon, especially of types he has an affinity to, is virtually unparalleled. He tends to be a loner, however, and doesn't usually tag along with others or let anyone follow him around if it's not utterly necessary. If someone can't keep up with his pace, he tends to want to leave them behind.

Being a native to rocky mountains and urban settings, he is quite skilled in parkour and mountaineering. No obstacle prevents him from getting where he wants to go, under any circumstances. If his own physical ability can't overcome something, he utilizes his Pokemon in such a way as to not slow him down in the slightest, making him a master at tracking and chasing down anything.

Name: Michael Coolidge. (Called "Mikey" or "Mike")
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Personality: Michael speaks little unless he is among those whom he knows well. When he does speak it will either be a piece of witty humor, or some sort of insight. It's not that Michael is serious, it is just that he sees no need to use ten words when two will do.
Description: Standing at 5'11, Michael is usually a bit taller than those he stands next to, but not tall enough to make it a matter of conversation. His eyes are a dark brown and his hair of the same color is short but wild. He usually wears some sort of untucked, button-up flannel shirt with a pair of dark jeans and some old canvas shoes. If you watch him for a while you will notice that he has a habit of fighting to keep his sleeves rolled up precisely to the spot directly below his elbow; the rolls holding his sleeves up always being even in width and circumference. If it is a particularly chilly day, he will pull an argyle or striped sweater over his flannel. On his left wrist is a black leather watch with a dark blue face that he oft claims once belonged to his great-great grandfather, whom he will swear to you was a great leader of the Unova Region, though as to what his grandfather lead he can't elaborate to you.

Personality: At the age of 22 Maximus is a late starter, but don't think that slows him down. As an easy going boy-at-heart, Maximus’ approach is cheeky and relaxed. However, underneath all his surface personality lies a ruthless Pokémon battler who will do whatever it takes to win.

Description: Maximus has shaggy light brown hair and stands at nearly 6 feet. Easily able to blend into a crowd, Maximus’ only memorable feature is a pair of bright blue eyes. Being the cheeky, self-confessed nerd he is, Maximus never leaves home without his Pokédex, one of his ‘nerdy-shirts’ (a t-shirt with a ‘nerdy’ slogan splashed across the chest) and a pair of well-worn jeans.

Name: Jake Mills
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Jake, like most trainers, is determined to win and also cares for each of his Pokémon. He's not very outgoing, but he's far from shy as well, that being said he still would rather be alone than with people. Jake is quite independent, relying on his brain and his Pokémon ever since he left home.

As an ex-daycare assistant, Jake also shows compassion to all Pokémon. He understand them on a slightly different level than most trainers and is able to form bonds with caught Pokémon easier. This compassion also can develop into sheer determination of any sort in order to complete a task he had set in his mind.

As an older trainer that is still quite young, Jake has had his fair share of adventure and wonder. He now mostly focuses on training and battling, but he still travels at times.
Description: Bright blue eyes hidden by his medium-length brown hair, and his height of 6'1" are the most memorable of Jake's characteristics. He generally wears black pants with a white shirt and a black unzipped hoodie with green trim. He wears a silver necklace in the shape of a lightning bolt.

Name: Nobody really remembers, everyone calls him Omega due to the way he puts that symbol on EVERYTHING of his in some way
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: He's almost the quintessential absent-minded professor, emphasis on professor. He's a mad scientist, and brings a few of his little gadgets with him everywhere, including a headset that runs diagnostics on most Pokemon, and a fold-up lightweight crossbow(don't worry, the arrows are only tipped with Poke Balls.) He just recently got his Zorua, but has already made good friends with it. Taming, however...not so much. In any case, he's fairly scrawny, but if pressed, he can throw a mean right hook and run for his life quickly.
Description: Exceptionally tall, scrawny, wears glasses with a rather thick right lens and straps to hold them on. Shirts vary a lot, but always have some interesting design on them, like the periodic symbols for barium, cobalt, and nitrogen in that order, or the symbol for pi made up of digits of pi. He wears, as a good-luck charm, a necklace shaped like a tesseract that hurts the eyes to stare at too long.

Name: Axion

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Personality: Axion is fairly analytic and quiet. He is very direct the majority of the time, however he cracks jokes to ease the tension in tight situations. He has been around pokemon since his sailor father gave him a Scyther for his 10th birthday which has been his trusted partner and only childhood friend. He does not actively look to meet people, but will quickly attempt to befriend people he comes into close contact with. Very self-reliant, he will try a crazy potentially dangerous scheme before placing other people in danger for him.

Ranger SU :B

Name: Trevor Rains
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Personality: Hell-bent on turning his tourism business into one of the most prominent enterprises around, Trevor has decided to join the rank of the rangers in order to learn the tricks of the trade. Driven to overcome obstacles and to achieving success, he doesn't mind stepping on the toes of other people on his way to the top. He engages in deception and manipulates others when the situation calls for it, but he takes care of the people that matter to him.

Being of a daring and spontaneous nature, Trevor has yet to turn down an adventure. Curiosity often gets the better of him - a trait which is complemented by his general flexibility and open-mindedness. He is able to maintain a cool head under pressure and adapts to circumstances better than most people. However, it is easy to spot if he is distraught as he tends to lick his lips when he feels pressured and doesn't have a grasp on the situation.

As long as other people don't get in his way, Trevor's an agreeable person. Courteous, modest, and humorous, he is extremely engaging. He is candid when needed and isn't afraid to be frank. He is uncaring towards people who get on his nerves though, and he certainly isn't above going out of his way just to give them a hard time.

Description: Trevor has straight black hair and prefers to keep it short. He's of average height and has fair skin. He is a bit lean. He has small light brown eyes and maintains a close shave. He wears the standard ranger uniform - a red vest that matches his gloves and shoes, black shorts, and a black shirt. He carries a large brown backpack that contains the essential items for exploring. It is not unusual to spot him with a tablet in his hand as he's become a bit dependent, relying on it for information on pokemon, the weather and a number of trivial things.

• Name: Rayce Jagin (just call him Rayce)
• Age: 21
• Gender: Male

• Personality: Rayce is very outgoing. He has no problems approaching people or Pokemon in an attempt to make friends. However, this is not to say he's a pushover. Rayce is fiercely competitive, and challenged he always gives 110%. Rayce also suffers from a bit of a pride issue. He things very highly of himself, and often displays a mask of egotism. This is too hide his fear of embarrassment and failure from others.

• Description: Rayce stands at just over 5' 10", but he'll tell you he's 6'. He weighs 183 lbs, most of which is toned muscle due to having to work manual labor for a living. His clothing style is fairly laid back, with his favorites being comfortable sneakers, good fitting jeans (usually a darker wash), and either a button-down over a graphic t-shirt, or just a graphic tee. He has a favorite pair of sunglasses which normally hang off the colar of his shirt or are being worn. His left ear is pierced with a single silver stud, and around his left wrist is a sterling silver chain-link bracelet his mother gave him when he turned sixteen.
  
  His favorite accessories consist of his bag and his belt - his trainer gear. Rayce spent years saving up for the bag, and the quality of the item is obvious. His backpack is a medium-sized bag designed for ease of accessibility but also survivability in extreme conditions. Inside is a two liter bladder used to store water, which has a small hose and nozzle at the end so one can drink while walking. Around the exterior of the bag are several hard-points where various add-ons can be attached. On the left strap, with the hilt facing downward is an attached sheathe for a survival knife. The blade is seven inches long, with serrated teeth along the opposite side of the blade. The bag also features two shoulder-mounted LED Flashlights, capable of lasting for days on a single battery. His belt was a gift from his father, before he passed. It is a simple, hand-crafted leather belt with six mounted hard-points for Poke Balls, three on his left hip and the other three on his right. There is currently only one Poke Ball on the belt, and that ball contains Rayce's best friend, Magnet.
