OOC: Kind of did ;[

IC: "Great job buddy." I called out to Shadow. He had did a lot of damage to the little Paras, but not enough to knock it out or make it go away. Still, it was a pretty good shot from what I could see. I didn't use him in battle as often as I liked too, though, I tried too. He was pretty strong, hell, the strongest Pokemon I had, but I always liked using different Pokemon for different things. It made battling more interesting instead of boring like Elite Four battles. "Okay Shadow, use Ember now. I don't want to hurt the little guy, but I don't think he wants to leave yet." Shadow just shook his head. I knew he felt bad about attacking such a small Pokemon, but what choice did we have right now, it was attacking us as well.

Shadow began firing multiple small, marble-sized pelts of fire at the small Bug type Pokemon. I wasn't sure if the Paras would leave after that attack, but I sure didn't want to attack it anymore than I had to. Poor little guy, there wasn't any Pokemon Center underground, so I wasn't totally sure how long it would take for him to heal. I knew though, that Paras probably could learn Synthesis, being a mushroom like Pokemon and all, so I figured that would work. Though, there being no sun and all, might not do much.

Paras had enough. After Shadow's low powered Ember attack, Paras scurryed off to find a place to heal up. The little Paras was sad that he lost the battle, now, he could only train harder to beat the next set of people that came by.

Meanwhile...

"Well, looks like it finally left. I wish we didn't have to attack him." I said, sighing. "I didn't want to have to hurt him."

"Yeah, but-," Shadow said, stopping before he could complete his sentence. "What is that?" He asked. Moving towards an object on the ground. As I got closer, I saw a small bag of Candy Corn. I walked over to pick it up.

"Hmm, where did that Paras get this from?" I asked, inspecting the bag. "I wonder if it's safe to eat." Shadow moved closer towards me and stuffed his nose into it.

"I don't smell any poisonous stuff in there, I guess it is okay." Shadow shrugged. I stuck two fingers into the bag and pulled out one of the candies and ate it.

"Yeah, it is okay. Pretty good actually." I said, "Nice of that Paras to leave us a treat."

"Which way are we going now?" Pointblank asked.

"I guess West is okay for now. We can always come back into this room and go North if needed." I said, walking over towards the Western entrance.

"What am I doing in this room?" Slaking said as he looked around the empty cave room. He scratched his head and yawned. He wanted to get up and move somewehre else, but he was feeling very... slackish. He just lifted his arm and stretched. He was about to fall asleep when he heard someone approaching. "Damnit, I'm so angry I think I'm going to battle whoever enters this room. Disturbing my peace, the nerve."

"Wait!" Shadow called out. "I can smell someone or something in the next room. Do you still want to enter it?"

"Hmm, well, maybe they aren't bad?" I said, "let's just go and see." We entered the room and saw a large Slaking laying in the middle of the room. "Wow, what the hell!"

"I know right?" Shadow said, agreeing with me. "Paras made sense, but Slaking, they don't even like being in caves. What is this."

"Slaking, why are you here?" Pointblank called out to him. The beast just roared I knew it wanted to battle. I didn't want to battle, but in order to get by him, I assumed we needed too.

"Hmm. Since he won't be reasonable, I guess we can try to go around him." I called out, moving towards the North. As I did, Slaking began roaring louder and moved in front of me to block the exit. Then he swung at me, but I had expected that so I dodged it in time. Right then and there, my Pokeball began vibrating and it fell to the ground. Out of the ball, emerged an elegant, green, humanoid shaped Pokemon. She glared at Slaking and readied herself for battle. "Alright, you can have a go at him. Use Focus Blast. I don't want to hurt him too much, but don't hold back." Mindbender began forming a brownish white orb between her hands. She pulled them back and launched the sphere towards the lazy ape Pokemon.

"These idiots. How dare they come in here and disturb my sleep. I'll make them pay." Slaking thought to himself. "This Gardevoir can't take me." With that, Slaking charged at Gardevoir. His body glowing blue and orange as he gained speed. He slammed into her hard, but despite that, it didn't seem to do much damage. He had forgotten that now he had to be temporarily immobilzed. He could see the Focus Blast forming in her arms. When she launched it, he could only sit and watch as the orb came in close. He had regained a little motion, but not enough to defend himself.

"Mindbender, that was a great shot. However, he is still angry. I guess he hasn't had enough to calm him down." I called out to her. "Use Psychic to try and put him to sleep. At least long enough for us to get by."

"I just want to know how he got down here." Shadow called out.

"Right. Mindbender, see if you can read his mind." I said. She just looked at me and shook her head.

"I already tried earlier. I too was curious as to why he was down here." She said. "Something is blocking me from doing so."

"Okay then, just carry on with Psychic." I said. Her body began glowing a bright blue color as she began using her attack.

"Wow! One second I was at Deckbi, and now I'm here." A small blue elephant said sadly. It felt all alone in the large, empty room. "Maybe I can somehow dig out of here. Wait! I can hear someone coming. Why do I get this sudden urge to want to battle them."

"You know, I could go for some nachos right now, with a large coke." I should ask Mindbender if she would go get me some."

"Why are we talking about food?" Shadow asked.

"Because, Pointblank said he would like some more Candy Corn and it got me thinking of what I wanted to eat right now."

"Well, you'll have to put that aside," Pointblank said, "We got company." I moved my eyes towards the center of the room. I saw a small, red and blue babyphant. Well, I wasn't totally sure it was a baby, but it sure looked like a little guy. Although, he did look like he was itching to battle. I wasn't particularly sure that I wanted too, but as before, we didn't have a choice.

I knew Skullcruncher and Pointblank didn't want to fight anyone this small, so it was going to be either Shadow or Mindbender. Since Shadow was already out, I was just going to go with him.

"Alright Shadow, get in there." I called out. Use..., damn, there is no sun. Solarbeam could have taken care of this quite easily. Hmm, show Phanpy your Hidden Power attack. See what that does to it." Shadow just shrugged and moved forward. He began creating small orbs of sky blue light around him. He didn't want to make it strong, but he knew it wasn't a good idea to waste time here since we didn't particularly know what we were up against further into the cave.

IC: The small orbs of energy shot towards Phanpy like a Bullet Seed attack. Those orbs pounded the little guy one after one. Shadow wasn't holding back on this one. Phanpy attacked back with a Rollout attack. Not a particularly strong move, and definitely not a wise choice to use in a small room cave like this.

"Alright, when he comes back to you with Rollout again, smack him back with Iron Tail." I called out. "And remember, don't hold back because Rollout won't be as weak as it was last time this time around. It gets stronger each time used so you don't want to underestimate it.

Shadow nodded in agreement and his tail began glowing a metallic silver color. As soon as the wild Phanpy came charging at him, he would also charge back, but slam his tail into Phanpy when he got close enough. Yeah, it was a risky move, but I knew that he could do it.

"Hmm, this one didn't drop any canday!'" I sighed. I walked over to the acorn that was lying where the Phanpy just stood. I picked it up and placed it in my bag with the black acorn. So far, I had found a black one and a yellow one, I wondered which other colors I'd find here, there had to be more.

I looked at the different exits around us and decided we should go North. "Wonder what else we'll run into." Shadow said.

"Whatever comes our way, we can take 'em." Pointblank assured.
