I love this. There is so much potential for this. I like the idea of it being underground in a labyrinth like area. It also promotes people working together and communicating outside of just in posts. The teams could have two or three Rangers even. As for the evil side, maybe they kidnap/hold hostage/brainwash their Rangers to guide them? It would even be like a race, so it would drive people to post more often (not like the xmas rp XD).

Adding onto Ataro's idea:

You would have to earn your plates by battling Pokemon. I would say that you would have to battle Rare, Special and Legendary Pokemon. For example;

Mew -> Pyschic Plate
Ludicolo -> Grass/Water Plate (I would guess you would roll for these Pokemon)

Still placed in the Underground but Pokemon have migrated to the Underground to seek shelter from something (maybe the end of the world)

I think this would be an awesome halloween event. I can totally imagine it. This would require the efforts of all of the national park staff, though. I can see Chainy creating the layout of the labyrinth and Sam giving the winning team some super awesome surprise that he had to beg Harry for. The participants would have to vote on which way to turn and such and send it to a ranger before a certain time. There would have to be obstacles in the labyrinth. I'm thinking "Confuse Ray Guns" and "'Impassable' Terrain". We would need to come up with a way that certain items in the park would be used to surpass these obstacles, as well as ways in which trainers could use their Pokemon to overcome them. There would be the RP thread and the discussion thread and in the discussion thread, trainers would discuss how they think they should solve the problem. Based on the creativity and skill of the trainers, the rangers could roll a di to see whether or not the attmpt is successful. And if not they would formulate some sort of reprocussion. I don't think it's feasible to have battles take place in the labyrinth, though, except for maybe a final guardian to Arceus (Dialga or Palkia for good and Giratina for evil?). But would the members of winning team then gain control of Arceus for like a month? Or would they just get something really cool? I know this is prize info which can't really be discussed here, but I'm just throwin' out ideas.

I know this has fallen silent, but I just want to put it out there that I'm working on refining an idea in here that I like, and I'll put it up as soon as it's ready. I'm just a little stretched thin between my runs and uni and rl and stuff, but it's not far off now.
