Amor goes in for an ExtremeSpeed, striking lightning-fast before the Wild Honchkrow can do anything. Before she can fly out of range though, the Dark-type blasts a Dark Pulse wave at the retreating Togekiss before falling asleep.. Both Pokemon are still conscious, but just barely- it is clear that both could black out at any moment.

“Amor, use Extremespeed, and then take a rest.” Alex called out to Amor.

Amor started to zig-zag through the air at blistering speeds. A white trail of slipstream formed behind Amor. Amor was enjoying herself and started to taunt the Wild Honchkrow by circling around him. Alex was surprised how much energy Togekiss still has left and watched the Jubilee Pokemon circle the Honchkrow. Alex shouted out loud, “Now, Amor use Extreemspeed!” Alex pointed his finger outwards dramatically. Amor soared quicker and within seconds, collided into Honchkrow. The Big Boss Pokemon was sent crashing into the side of the valley. Amor retreated a few metres back and looked directly at a tired Honchkrow. She turned around and faced Alex, smiling happily. Alex smiled back, however noticed something strange about Honchkrow. A large black void appeared in front of the Dark Pokemon’s mouth. Alex called to Togekiss, “Amor, watch out!”

Amor turned around and shielded her eyes from the sheer power that Honchkrow was creating. The black void increased and increased, until there was a point where it could not increase. The void was filled with dark matter and shinning black crystals. If a black hole could be compared to something, this was the closest thing to it. Of course Alex knew what attack this was. He muttered under his breath, “Dark Pulse, a powerful Dark special attack. Honchkrow gains STAB from the attack, since he is part dark.”

Alex wanted to warn Togekiss, however she was more scared by what was happening a few metres away from her. Honchkrow cried out loud and fired the Dark Pulse towards Amor. The large dark void crashed into Togekiss, and sent her tumbling down onto the ground. Alex quickly raced down the rocks again and made his way towards the fallen Togekiss.

“Wake up Amor,” Alex said by gently slapping the face of Togekiss. There was no reply. Her body temperature started to drop. Alex quickly opened his bag and removed the last Energy Powder, given to him by the Park Officals. The grabbed the water bottle and filled it with fresh water. Then, he opened the bag of Energy Power and started to mix it together with the water. Within seconds, the small granules dissolved and the liquid changed to a lighter green colour. He raised Amor’s head and slowly aided the liquid down her throat. Togekiss’ eyes slowly opened, her temperature increased and her breathing became constant. She looked into Alex’s eyes and smiled, thanking him for what he did. Alex left Amor where she was and walked across towards Honchkrow.


“You are one strong Pokemon,” Alex said to the beaten up Honchkrow. Honchkrow simply turned his head away, disapproving the idea of a Human and Pokemon relationship. Alex laughed and said, “I would love to have a strong Pokemon like you on my team, we’ll become great together.” Honchkrow started to show signs of admiration towards Alex and moved his head back. Alex smiled and looked closer at Honchkrow. He noticed a large scar across his right eye.

That explains a lot. From a close up, it looks like Honchkrow was beaten up when he was young. Then when he grows up, he takes his anger out on the other Pokemon and rises up the ranks to become the leader of the valley. An interesting background to say at least.


Alex said to Honchkrow, “I’m going to call you Scar Face, it suits you. There once was an Old Man who said ‘It seems fitting that if you want to enhance the bond between Pokemon and human, you must first name your Pokemon. So it feels special and unique.”


Alex removed one of the Super Park Balls from his belt and held it up in the air. The sun rays bounced off it and sparkled. Alex pointed the ball towards Honchkrow before throwing it. The ball glided through the air and bounced off the chest of Honchkrow. A bright red laser appeared and pinpointed its self onto Honchkrow. The Big Boss Pokemon was suddenly sucked into the ball. The ball fell to the floor and started to roll from side to side. Alex looked even more nervous, each time the ball rolled. When would it stop?

While you use your last Energy Powder, the wild Honchkrow stirs slightly in his sleep. Knowing that Amor will be fine now, you throw one of your Super Balls at the Dark-type, capturing it with ease.

As you pick up Honchkrow's Ball, an Alakazam wearing the insignia of the National Park materializes in front of you, signaling the end of your run. Leading the way, it signals for you to follow.
