@BlazeMaster; If you have any questions about anything, let me know. Also I am amused at your nicknames.

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

“So, it looks like we're taking a Joe Turner down into the Ruins this time,” Ivy said to Haji. They were waiting in front of the Engima Ruins, a new discovered area of the National Park after the destruction of the Outer Heavens. This was her second shift. Hopefully she knew the place a little better by now. Even if there were a lot of hallways still untraveled.

The Espeon beside her twitched his forked tail peacefully. He was laying on one of the chunks of cement leftover from one of the fallen sky pillars. He liked sun spots, and today's weather was wonderful. Unfortunately, they would be heading down underground today.

The uncovered research facility spanned about a mile east and west, and she wasn't sure how wide. They weren't even sure the specific purpose of the place, except what they had guessed. Whoever had built it had had really advanced technology, since they had been able to warp in any Pokemon from any of the areas so long as they came over one of the teleportation pads. They had those before uncovering this place too, used to link each outpost. The random placement of the pads was pretty interesting though, and they were more advanced than the ones the Rangers already used.

It was puzzling, since they knew next to nothing about what went on here on their own island. Besides a spark of activity, this event they were taking Trainers on this month was supposed to be a means of exploring the facility further and learning more. It was interesting. At least they weren't on Deckbi.

Ivy brushed her long red hair out of the way and leaned up against the slab Haji was laying on. They would just wait for the Trainer here, and then they could do some exploring.

"Come on Guys! We're going off to the Enigma Ruins!" I encouraged my team. I was delighted to be back in the National Park, I remember the last time that I was here with just two Basics and a few measly Park Balls. I had taken no chances and was taking four Pokemon with me, I wanted to face the full selection here at the Enigma Ruins. The whole event had happened before I had got my first Pokemon, apparently this massive tower had collapsed after an attack had gone wrong and they had found this place.
"Honchcrow, let's get there faster. Carry me to the Enigma Ruins!" I commanded. The dark Flying type underneath me took off with me on its back, towards this new area.

I saw the ruins, a group of stone slabs and the remains of a huge tower. I saw a flash of red hair beneath me. That must be my ranger. I circled down with Honchcrow and landed on the ground.
    I walked towards the ranger.
"Hi, I'm Joe. I guess that you're my ranger" I said.

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

A shadow above them drew Ivy's attention, and she straightened her red canvas vest as she got up from her lean. A Honchkrow filtered down, carrying a tall Trainer. He landed and walked over to her, and she saw that he was in comfortable jeans and a red T-shirt.

“Hi, I'm Joe. I guess that you're my Ranger,” he said as he neared.

“Yeah. I'm Ivy Frost,” she greeted. “This is Haji,” she added as the purple feline rose from his sleeping position. He blinked at the newcomers, and the Espeon's alertness was a comforting weight in the back of her mind. “We'll take you through the Ruins today.”

Introductions over, she led the Trainer into the Enigma Ruins facility. The doors slid open automatically as they neared, and again she had the thought that the machine could be problematic if it lost power or something. Nobody had gotten stuck in here yet, but she wasn't going to hold her breath.

The main hallway still looked the same since the last tiem she was here. There were still multiple doors down the main hall, and then the T intersection at the end. She'd have to ask Joe which way he wanted to go first.

The hall was still filled with those massive crates too, only she noticed that some of the tops had been pulled off or sat askew on top of the boxes. Someone had been going through the contents. She wondered if there had been anything useful in them.

Suddenly, a small noise caught her attention in one of the crates ahead of them. It was one with the top sitting crooked. As she looked, a small worm-like Pokemon stuck its head out of the top. It was orange-colored, with a reddish nose and a small spine on the top of its head.

“Hey, there's a Weedle,” Ivy told Joe. “Do you want to try capturing it? Remember that this event is like an Endurance Run, meaning you get to stay longer and take four Pokemon home with you if you like.” Then, the Ranger waited for the Trainer to decide.

    @WinterVines;

“Yeah. I'm Ivy Frost,” the ranger replied. “This is Haji,” she said, indicating towards the purple four-legged Pokemon. Afer a few more words she turned and headed off towards the research facilty known as the Enigma Ruins. I was surprised at the technological advance of the place. I had expected old ruins and haunted corridors, but as the doors slid open by themselves I was proved wrong. We walked along the corridor until we came to a T junction, almost packed with crates. I turned, facing either way. Which way would we go, I wondered. My decision was turned aside when a small, brown segmented body came in our way. It was a Weedle. I almost laughed at it's audacity in facing us. I remembered many Pokemon carelessly zapping away swarms of Beedrill. This thing didn't look particularly Powerful either.
“Hey, there's a Weedle. Do you want to try capturing it? Remember that this event is like an Endurance Run, meaning you get to stay longer and take four Pokemon home with you if you like.” She asked. I looked at it for one last time.
    "No," I replied. "Let's go,"

@BlazeMaster; Escape failed. Dolls are 500 if you want to use one.

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Joe didn't take very long to make up his mind. He took another look at the bug and said, “No, let's go.”

Ivy nodded and walked past the crate to start heading down the hall, but the Weedle started to make an ominous sound. She looked back to see that it had climbed down the crate and now sat in the middle of the floor looking at them pointedly.

The Ranger sighed before turning back to Joe. “Looks like this one won't leave so easily. Do you want to use a doll or attempt to battle it away?”

Sometimes wild Pokemon were stubborn, and usually there wasn't the option to leave it there, since some Pokemon took offense to that. Some of them did nasty things when that happened. Most Trainers just got a Pokedoll from a Ranger, which was an inexpensive sure escape. Some didn't like to spend the money though, and those Trainers battled. It was a cheaper way to deal with the situation, but then the Trainer's Pokemon got worn out before they even found something a Trainer wanted to battle for real.

Still, it was his decision, so she'd wait to see what he wanted to do. The Weedle wouldn't wait for long anyway. It would attack if they just tried to ignore it.

    @WinterVines;

We turned to go away from the Weedle, leaving the pathetic excuse for a Pokemon behind us. But I heard a strange, growling -like sound. I turned around and saw the small Pokemon mounting one of the crates. It appeared irritated and I wasn't surprised. A good number of trainers must have looked it over and decided to let him go. Ivy faced me.

“Looks like this one won't leave so easily. Do you want to use a doll or attempt to battle it away?” She asked. I looked at the Pokemon. It wasn't as if I had a lack of Park Balls and it would be amusin to battle it. I took a Poke Ball out of my bag.

"Come on Infernape, use Flamethrower!" I commanded. A Monkey-like Pokemon ed from the ball, crowned with a diadem of fire on it's head. Immediately it formed a ball of fire in its mouth, and released a jet of flame towards the crates. I waited, wondering whether the attack would hit

@BlazeMaster; Weedle gender? Also, for better results, its good to describe what you want the attack to do, like aiming for a certain spot or the power level the Pokemon should take. Otherwise you pretty much leave it up to the Ranger to decide, and it might not be what you had in mind.

    BP#1

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Joe didn't say anything when they turned around, looking at the small bug on the floor. Suddenly, he chose to pull out a Pokeball and call out a Pokemon.

In a flash of light, a fiery monkey Pokemon emerged, with a trailing flame on his head. “Come on, Infernape, use Flamethrower!” he called.

Ivy wasn't sure if he was going to try and knock the Weedle out or if he was catching it just because. Some Trainers did that, since they liked a selection of Pokemon to choose from when they ended their run. Ivy didn't think Beedrill was a bad Pokemon, so maybe he was interested after all.

The monkey took in a big breath, and then he spewed fire from his mouth. Interestingly enough, the flame on his head died down a little bit as he put more energy into his attack. Flames billowed from him, and Ivy flinched as she saw the fire heading toward the crates. She didn't know how heat resistant the boxes were.

She heard the bug squeal as it was assaulted by flames. Smoke started to fill the hallway, and she coughed a little as she brought a sleeve up to her nose. When the Flamethrower ended, she saw that since the monkey had aimed more toward the crates, the bug had avoided some of the flames. With a narrow look, it shot a sticky white string toward the Infernape, wrapping him up in the coils. The money struggled to break free, but it was immobile for a moment.

Then, the Weedle took aim with its horn, and a thousand streaking needles came shooting at him rapidly. Infernape made uncomfortable sounds as he was hit. Ivy really hoped he wouldn't get poisoned by the sting.

To her relief, the boxes were still standing. The smoke was still hanging in the air though, making her eyes burn a little. She coughed again before she spoke. “Be careful of your attacks in a small space like this,” she said, gesturing to the hallway. “Those crates could have important materials in them yet, and we don't want to destroy anything.” She tried to wave away the smoke with her arm, but it wasn't working very fast.

Now Joe would have to free his Pokemon before the little bug could attack again. String Shot could be very annoying when used right. It was handy for trapping. Ivy waited for what the Trainer would do next, but she was tensed to call out her Pokemon if necessary. They couldn't allow unnecessary damage to this place.

OCC: @WinterVines; Male Weedle, also you said the money struggled to break free XD

The pillar of flame erupted towards Weedle, and the flame on Infernape's head diminished slightly as it fired the Flamethrower. To my dismay Infernape's shot basically missed its target, scorching the crates. I heard my ranger cough as smoke billowed from the singed crates. Weedle leapt up in the air, shooting a sticky string of web-like string towards Infernape, wrapping up its opponent in it. Infernape hopped around, trying to release itself. While it did this Weedle took its chance and leapt up, shooting several purple needle-like missiles that peppered Infernape. The Fire Monkey Pokémon groaned at the weak projectiles as they hit him. He regained his balance and stood, looking at its opponent.

I wondered what to do next. String Shot had made Infernape practically useless for close combat fighting and also put him off his balance, so long-ranged attacks would go off target. SO the first thing that I had to do was worry about String Shot. After that I needed a more effective way of attacking Weedle. Infernape's Flamethrower didn't seem to be accurate but Fighting-type attacks wouldn't do much good either.

“Be careful of your attacks in a small space like this,” I heard the ranger say. “Those crates could have important materials in them yet, and we don't want to destroy anything.” Stupid Park Rules, I wish that they didn't care so much about stupid health and safety. So, I had to do this all without damaging some stupid crates that were probably emtpy.

"Infernape, That string is very flamable, so use Ember on it to burn it off. I know that it's going to hurt but do it!" I commanded.

"After that swipe Weedle it off those crates with a Mach Punch and use Close Combat as hard as you can, aim for the horn!" I followed up. While Weedle was perched on the crate it would be helpless to a Mach Punch or any other attacks taking it off. After that the accuracy problems with a long ranged attack would be eliminated as Infernape fought close up. Also as Weedle was a Bug and Poison type Pokemon it would be relatively unaffected by the two Fighting-types

@BlazeMaster; That's usually what happens when I rush posts XD I don't proofread or anything.

    BP#2

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

The Infernape continued to struggle within his stringy bonds as Joe thought. The Weedle stayed tense on the floor like it had the entire battle, waiting to see what his foe would do. Ivy knew that the little bug didn't have a very diverse move pool to select from until it evolved. Hopefully, if Joe decided to keep this one at the end, he would raise it up to a Beedrill.

“Infernape,” Joe called. “That string is very flammable, so use Ember to burn it off.”

Since the monkey was part Fire-type, the flames wouldn't hurt him too bad. More importantly, that String Shot was pretty flimsy by itself. Its real strength was when it was wrapped around multiple times like it was. If a few strands started to melt off, the rest should follow.

While the fighter was focusing to ready his attack, Joe continued to give him instructions. He told him to use Mach Punch to sweep the Weedle and then move in with a Close Combat. Bugs were usually pretty good at resisting some Fighting-type attacks due to their hard exoskeletons. It would be hard to really hit the bug good since it was so small compared to the person-sized monkey, but Ivy could tell that the Infernape would try.

The monkey's eyes flashed a little as tiny flames started to sprout on his wrapped-up body. They settled on the strings, and after a few moments, the heat was enough to break them. The remnants of the strings fell to the ground in chunks, and the small fires dissipated as they did. Then, the Infernape readied his second technique.

The Infernape screwed his arm back like he was a pitcher waiting to throw. Then, he streaked forward just like Joe commanded. With a loud thunk, his fist slammed into the crate, and Ivy flinched, thinking that the box would break. Thankfully it didn't, and the monkey took a second to shake off his bruised hand. The bug had crawled to the floor even before they started battling, so maybe he had gotten confused on its location or maybe predicted it to move.

The monkey wasn't just going to stop though. He turned and stared down the Weedle before rushing in again, flailing with his arms to try and hit the bug the best he could. The problem with Close Combat in general was that it was a semi-reckless attack. The user put so much effort into attacking that they didn't think too much about defense, and that left them open a little bit.

Here, it was somewhat similar. The bug was getting hit, but not as much as a bigger opponent would. His size was helping him out a lot.

Infernape started to slow down as he got tired, and that's when the bug decided to strike. With small teeth that Ivy couldn't even see, he bit down on the Infernape's tail, not letting go as he used a Bug Bite. Infernape shrieked at the contact and started shaking himself, but the bug was hanging on.

The Ranger wondered what Joe would do now. The bug was wearing itself out quickly.

    @WinterVines;

The web started to melt away, leaving an acrid stench in the air at the fumes. Infernape grinned in satisfaction, maybe he was trying to hide the pain. As the ropes dropped to the ground Infernape prepared the Mach Punch attack. He pulled his fist back and prepared it to strike. He leapt forward and the hand struck the box. Thankfully it didn't break, that would have made the ranger rather angry.

How could that happen! The dumb brute, I told it to aim for the horn, not the box! i thought angrily. Weedle casually crawled off the box, as if to satify my wishes. Inferrnape then hit the small Pokemon several times with its s before srwpping back. Weedle seemed irritated now, it lashed forward with its teeth outstretched, preparing a bug bite attack. The Pokemon latched onto Infernape's tail and re monkey took some time to shake it off. I looked at the Pokemon, it looked ready to be caught. I took out a Park Ball from my pocket, one of the few that I had left. I pressed the button, preparing the capture mechanism, and threw the ball at Weedle. As I gazed at it I wondered what would happen.

Joe looked ready to capture the Weedle, much to Ivy's surprise. She watched him pull out a standard Park Ball and line up his shot. The bug wasn't really that damaged yet, meaning he was more likely to break out of the capture device.

Still, he waited until Infernape swung his tail their way, and then he tossed the Ball. His aim was good, and it hit the Weedle on the back, sucking it into the device. The Ball dropped to the ground and the monkey sighed, glad to have the bug off his appendage. The device shook violently as the Weedle tried to escape, putting all of his energy into breaking out.

In the end, the center of the Ball lit up in red, signifying a successful capture.

“Congrats, although next time you should probably weaken it a little bit more before you try to capture it,” she said as she went to pick up the ball. “I think it almost broke out.” She hadn't thought that would work. “Do you want to go into some of these doors, or do you want to continue down the hallway to the end?” she asked.

Before he could respond, however, a cricket chirping sound caught her attention. Further down the hall, antoher insect was peeking out from behind another crate carefully. It looked startled to have been discovered. It probably hadn't meant to make a noise.

The bug was mostly a deep ruby color, with a fancy cream colored neck collar that trailed down its stomach. Two black antennae curled up on the top of its head, and it had beady eyes and black nubs for hands and feet. It made another noise as it huddled close to the box.

“There's a Kricketot,” Ivy said. The insects were pretty mobile around here. “Want to try and catch it?”

I threw the ball, watching as the capsule spun in mid-air down towards the Weedle. It opened up, swallowing the Pokémon

BLEEP...BLEEP...BLEEP...PING! The Weedle had been caught! Ivy walked forward and bent down, picking up the ball.

“Congrats, although next time you should probably weaken it a little bit more before you try to capture it, I think it almost broke out.” She said. She was right, I usually wasn't comfortable with trying to capture a Pokémon so early on, but the risk had seemed worth it, and it was. “Do you want to go into some of these doors, or do you want to continue down the hallway to the end?” she asked. I turned aroundm thinking. Suddenly I herd a chirp from a corner. I looked around and saw a puny Bug-type cowering in the corner.

“There's a Kricketot,” the ranger concluded. “Want to try and catch it?”

"Nah, but if it refuses to budge, I'll use a Pokédoll," I replied. "Let's go through that door," I said, pointing towards one of the entrances.

Joe shook his head, not interested in the Bug-type Pokemon. “Nah,” he said. “But if it refuses to budge, I'll use a Pokedoll. Let's go through that door,” he added, pointing to one of the doors along the hallway.

She nodded and passed the Kricketot, breathing out a sigh of relief when it didn't follow them. Some Park Pokemon were nice like that, but others were just too persistent. Ivy neared Joe's chosen door and watched as this one slid open automatically too, just like the main doors had. It was a neat concept, but she still worried about what would happen if the power was cut. Speaking of that, how was the electricity still running and who was paying for it?

She was brought out of her thoughts as she surveyed the next room. It looked a little like a mess hall, with those long tables with built-in seats like they had at the cafeteria at her old elementary school. There was a sectioned off place along the wall to their right, with a gap in it that looked pretty close to a serving window of a kitchen. There was just one door (a normal swinging one with a handle, instead of the automatic ones. That was pretty interesting.) leading into the space beyond, but it was closed.

She sort of wanted to go check it out, to see if they had had a lot of high-tech cooking equipment too or if it just looked like a normal kitchen. Before she could start walking that way though, a small sound came from one of the tables closet to them.

She looked down and spotted a small pink Pokemon with dark-tipped ears. It looked almost identical to the Pokedolls they used on runs.

    “Cleffa,” it said meekly.

“Well, here's another Pokemon,” Ivy said to Joe. “Any interest in catching it?”

We walked past the Kriketot and towards the door, I turned and stared at it as we ambled past and looked at the bug Pokémon. It looked a bit sad but it definitely wasn't as aggressive as my newly Caught Weedle had been. The door slid open and Ivy lead me through into the next room.

The room looked like a grand hall, modernised from Medival times. The tables stretched the length of it and chrome chair adorned the long pieces of furniture. I wondered how they had been able to build this place up so quickly. I looked at one of the tables and a small pink blob was sitting there. It's ears stretched out, almost looking like horns that pierced the silence. It gave a cry and I recognised it. It was a Cleffa! Ivy turned around to me.

“Well, here's another Pokemon, any interest in catching it?” she asked. I looked at the Pokémon and made my decision quickly.

"No, I've seen these dudes on for sale before," I replied. "I'd rather buy one than take one from the wild. Bye, little guy," I said and turned around. "Let's go back out,"

Joe wasn't interested in the Cleffa. Ivy knew they were fairly common on the mainland, since it was a favorite choice of Breeders. Cleffa were good starting Pokemon for very young Trainers.

He told the Pokemon farewell and then turned and pointed at the door. “Let's go back out,” he said, starting to head that way. Ivy looked at the wild Pokemon and waited a minute to make sure the Trainer wasn't going to be stopped. Sometimes the wild ones were persistent, and Trainers couldn't just leave them like that all the time.

Thankfully, the small, pink Pokemon stayed there as they departed out of the automatic sliding door and back into the hallway. Getting no further direction, Ivy led them to the door straight across the hall. This one was perfectly empty, strangely enough. All the surfaces were in the standard tile found in all of the rooms.

Sudeenly, though, that began to change. She had heard rumors of the labs changing to match the environments of the Pokemon being studied. That made it nice for the researchers, since the data collected would be more correct.

The floor shimmered, and in its place sand flowed, banking up and waving in dunes. The walls too, became a scene from the desert, clearing to blue skies with cacti in the distance. The ceiling morphed into a sunny day, with a shining spot near the corner to mimic the sun. It was pretty amazing.

Then, a noise drew her attention in front of them. A small yellow mouse popped out of the sand. It had tiny ears but big curious black eyes. Its skin was a scaly yellow with light brown cracks in between sections. Its cream underbelly blended into the sand.

“Any interest in this Sandshrew?” she asked.

OCC: If I fail here's the Pokedoll money 4500-500 is 4000

The doors slid open and Ivy led me out of the banqueting hall and back into the corridor. I had no idea where to go, but I was lucky as she just walked straight on, through the doors, into the opposite room. I hurriedly followed her. As I walked into the room expecting a change I found nothing. The entire room was empty, devoid of all things except the well polished tiles that coated all the floors. I wondered what poor soul cleaned this place, it must be a massive job to do.

Suddenly the air around me began to change, as did the floor under my feet. The hot sun racked my back and the dry air went down my throat. My feet sunk slightly into the sand that came from nowhere and my eyes looked up at the clear sky. We were in the sand dunes, it would seem. As I regained my footing I wondered what had happened, whether it was some sort of work of the laboratory, or whether it was some Psychic Pokémon, playing tricks with our minds.

A small creature emerged from the sand, its yellow back matching in perfectly with the Sun. It had small ears, I guess to preserve heat at night, and a small, yellow tail. It was a Sandshrew, a fine Pokémon by all accounts, and one at home in the desert.

“Any interest in this Sandshrew?” Ivy asked.

"Nah, I'm fine. I like Sandshrew, but again, I've seen these guys in the Marketplace If I fail I'll use a Poke Doll. I wouldn't want to take one from its habitat. Now, how do we get out of here?" I replied.

Joe didn't feel like battling the Sandshrew, but when they made to leave, the small mouse began to get agitated. It scraped its claws against the sand and growled. Thankfully, Joe agreed to use a Pokedoll to distract the Ground-type so they could get away unscathed.

Ivy threw one of the pink, inflatable dolls at the mouse, and it seemed happy enough as they slowly backed out of the door. Instead of going into another one, the Ranger led them down the hall to the ZT intersection. She debated which way to go and was about to ask the Trainer, but she heard a noise down the left path.

Curious, she followed the sound until she came to an open room. She stepped inside to see it was like one of those classroom auditoriums in the larger colleges. There was a small slope of sorts, and they were looking down rows of chairs to a platform on the bottom. There was a smooth screen on the wall behind it, like the kind that were used for projectors. This was probably some sort of conference room for presentations.

It wasn't too big really, but the place could probably fit about fifty people. There could've easily been more than that in this complex, since the whole place was so big. The chairs were just simple plastic ones with square backs and seats in a dark blue shade. She wondered what the place had looked like when people always filled the building.

She was about to turn and leave when a small scuffling sound caught her attention. It sounded like one of the metal-rimmed chairs was sliding on the polished floor. She looked down to see a small bug looking at them from underneath one of the seats.

It was orange, and it sort of looked like a crab or lobster. A brown-gray rock was hiding the rest of its body, and Ivy knew it was used as its home. It was a Dwebble. She had a run in with some poachers trying to save a pack of Dwebble in the Woods.

She smiled at the Pokemon and crouched down to its level so she didn't scare it. “Hey there little one,” she said to it. Then she looked up at Joe. “Any interest in this one?”

    @WinterVines;

The ranger got a small pink doll out of her bag and threw it at the Sandshrew. I was interested at what it's reaction would be to be given a PokéDoll, sometimes Pokémon ripped them to shreads, thinking them to be an enemy, sometimes they were scared of their scent. This Sandshrew seemed perfectly content with its new companion. We quietly treaded through the sand to the door and left.

I came back into the stark corridor and headed on, slightly dazed. The heat and light change from coming back from the desert was as bemusing as when we entered it. We came to a T-Junction and I waited as Ivy decided where to go. Suddenly she turned her head and walked off and I followed in fear of getting lost. She stepped through a door, luckily this time to an ordinary room. It was like a Student Lecture theatre, having many teirs of seats stretching back many rows, probably enough for about fifty people.

I imagined scientists here, relating the information gained from their exploits in the environment-changing rooms that we had already experienced. It must have been quite boring, in my opinion, to have gone to a University and studied and taken down notes. I was glad that I had left school at ten to become a Pokémon Trainer like any normal person would.

One of the chairs seemed to be moving, as if by magic. On closer inspection we found the culprit. It was a small orange but, mostly covered by a grey-brown shell that was as hard as a rock. The Pokémon itself had two small, unmenacing pincers. It was a Dwebble, a part Bug part Rock type that spent a lot of time in the desert or the woods. Ivy seemed to like this Pokémon, she crouched down to its level and smiled at it, talking to it. Realising her job she looked up to me.

“Any interest in this one?” She asked.

"Yes, definitely, Dwebble's one of my favourite Pokémon," I replied. I had to decide which Pokémon to use, Infernape or Garchomp would probably rip this place to shreds, Honchcrow would struggle to aim its flying type attacks between the desks, and I doubted that the cleaners would appreciate a room sodden and muddy from Swampert's attacks. I had to make a decision. I took two PokéBalls from my pocket.

"Honchcrow, use Haze to flush Dwebble out onto the main stage! Then return. After that, I want you to come out, Garchomp, and use Brick Break on Dwebble, but make sure that you keep away from the furniture!" I commanded. I expected that if I had a battle here, I would destroy the room, but Garchomp was probably the best match here. My only worry was that the smoke alarms might trigger and cause some rain, so I hastily added plucked another PokéBall from my pocket.

"After Honchcrow's used Haze, stay behind and use Blizzard really lightly to scatter the smoke, Swampert!" I commanded. First I released Honchcrow's PokéBall, sending the black-feathered bird to the high ceiling of the auditorium. He hovered in flight while releasing black smoke towards Dwebble. I looked on, praying that it would all go to plan

OOC: Alrighty @BlazeMaster, Winter passed this on to me since she is starting to head back to class and stuff, so hope you enjoy.

    BP#1 (Vs. Dwebble Post 1)

I didn't have a problem covering for Ivy so she could do... whatever it is the higher-ups wanted to do. What I did have a problem with was getting lost in this old abandoned building. If only I had taken a run to begin with...

Thankfully, it wasn't long before I heard the click of a Pokéball, though it was faint. I assumed it was a battle starting, and Ivy had started in the area; I figured it was best for me to at least check. What I came to was a room filled with a dense fog. It slowly dissipated with a slight chill, allowing better vision, but it was still enough to make it hard to see. I caught a glimpse of a Garchomp charging what appeared to be a small stone and slamming it with its claw, sending it sailing against the wall. Once the rock settled down on the ground, it appeared to sprout legs and scurry about in a daze.

"Ivy, you're needed back at base!" I turned to the trainer. I couldn't quite make him out in what was left of the haze, though he was the only one left in the room. "I'm Siless. Ivy is needed elsewhere, so I'll be taking you the rest of the way through."

As I finished my quick introduction, the rock began to glow and a piece of it shed off. "For now, we might want to focus on this thing."

OOC: @Siless; OK then, let's get this show on the road.

A white mist erupted from Honchcrow's mouth, filling the area. I couldn't see anything as I stumbled down towards the main stage, trying to see through the gaseous barrier. I felt the air go slightly cooler as Swampert used Blizzard to clear the worst of the mist. It worked and before I knew it I was at the centre of the auditorium, facing at Dwebble, Garchomp at my side. I could make out the figure of the orange Bug-type, heavily contrasting with its grey stone that it wore on its back. Behind me I heard Ivy calmly walking down the steps.

Dwebble tucked its legs into its shell and stayed in place, perfectly balanced by the geometric beauty of the rock. Garchomp raced towards the small Pokémon, his claw glowing white, and smashed straight into the rock, throwing it against the wall. A voice boomed across the auditorium.

"Ivy, you're needed back at base!" the voice shouted. Ivy turned around, her hair swishing in the glittering snow-laden mist, and treaded back up the steps, making her way out of the Ruins. Another ranger jumped down the steps in twos. I couldn't really make out his figure.

"I'm Siless. Ivy is needed elsewhere, so I'll be taking you the rest of the way through." he explained. I turned back to the battle, completely focusd. Dwebble peeked out of its rock and, assured that it was safe, started scurrying around as a piece of its shell glowed red. The segment peeled away in the same fasion of the skin of a sunburnt tourist's skin does.
"For now, we might want to focus on this thing." Siless said. He was right, the battle was the most important thing. I thought for a moment. Now that Dwebble had used Shell Smash, its Speed was increased as well as its attacking capabilities.

"OK, Garchomp, I want you to use Dual Chop on this Dwebble's Rock! It's defense has gone down so it shouldn't be too difficult, so try to take it off if you can!" I ordere the Pokémon. It was a shame that Garchomp didn't know Scary Face, for it would have made an excellent effect.

"After you've separated the Rock use Slash while Dwebble's unprotected!" I shouted. On of Dwebble's main defensive capabilities was its rock, if I could separate the two the job would be easy. Garchomp raced towards its target, its Claws glowing blue. I hoped that the attack would hit...
