    @VeloJello

    "Thanks!" Alice said, turning to Bohmander to give him a quick check-up. There were a few shards of ice left over from Abra's Ice Punch, but Alice told Bohmander to use a light Ember on the wound. I found myself a little surprised - but pleasantly so - by Alice's care for her Pokemon. I watched as Bohmander's Ember melted the shards away.

    "You good to go, Bo? Alice asked. The Salamence nodded, and Alice turned to me. "We're ready when you are."

    I nodded. "Let's keep going, then."

    We went further into the fog, and now our visibility really began to plunge. I walked slowly so that Alice wouldn't lose track of me, but also so that I didn't trip on the debris strewn across the valley's surface. All these jagged rocks lying about were from the battles of the Psychic Pokemon that resided here, throwing rocks all over the place during those battles.

    It wasn't easy to find Pokemon in this fog, but I made sure to keep my eyes peeled. I didn't expect anything that great right after a gem like Abra.

    "So!"

    I turned to my right, where the cry had come from. Watching us with evident interest was a small green bubble, floating a few inches off of the ground. This was Solosis, the pre-evolution of Reuniclus. I had to admit I was a little surprised - Solosis was nothing to be overlooked. I had a Reuniclus myself, and I was quite fond of them. After seeing something like Abra, this was really a pretty good find.

    "Interested?" I asked Alice.

    ooc: Solosis is a lady.
    ~~~~~
    "Let's keep going, then."
    I followed John deeper into the forest, noticing how thick the fog was growing. Within minutes, visibility had dropped to about nothing and our pace slowed to a crawl. I had to recall Bohmander back to his Pokeball because he kept stubbing his toes on the boulders that littered the valley floor.
    I also noticed that there was a profound silence about this place. It was as if every living thing had been silenced and all sound replaced by mist; almost as though -
    "So!"
    Well, I stand corrected.
    I turned, looking to the right. The high-pitched sound had come from behind, where a blob of green matter was hovering above the fog-shrouded ground. I squinted at it for a few seconds before deciding that my Pokedex could scan it and save me the eyestrain.
    'Solosis, the Cell Pokemon. It -' I cut my Pokedex short with a click of a button; all I needed was the name. Besides, hearing the 'Dex's loud, mechanical voice blare through the already creepy woods just seemed a bit eerie. I looked at Solosis, curious. I had seen people using Reuniclus in my home region of Unova. It seemed to be an excellent battler - a powerhouse of psychic might, if a bit slow and bulky. After a few seconds' worth of thought, I found myself nodding.
    "All right," I said. "Darius, you're up."
    I let my Serperior out into the misty woods; neither the sight of the creeping fog nor the very curious Solosis gave him pause. He seemed to be looking around for his opponent, so I pointed at the wild psychic-type to help him out. He gave me an indignant glare, to which I replied with a glare of my own. "Don't underestimate it, Dar. Bo just got scuffed up pretty good by an Abra. Besides, the Reuniclus family are titans of special-attack. This won't be a boring battle."
    My snooty snake didn't seem particularly convinced, but he didn't seem to want to argue further. Instead he turned toward Solosis, ready for orders.
    "Use Slam," I command, "and follow up with a Wrap while it's dazed. Savvy?" he lunged without a response, his sinuous body slithering swiftly across the mist-slicked mosses, ready to throw his whole weight against Solosis. I winced - maybe I should have used Bohmander. I got the distinct impression that Darius wasn't going to hold back.
    @VeloJello ; Really sorry about how long this post took. Last weekend was hectic for me.
    "All right," I said. "Darius, you're up."
    Darius, Alice's Serperior, took the field this time. I was interested to see how Alice would battle with him. A Serperior was certainly nothing like a Salamence.
    "Use Slam," I command, "and follow up with a Wrap while it's dazed. Savvy?"
    Darius nodded, and jumped at Solosis. His large tail smashed into her body, and she was knocked back a few feet by the sheer strength of the blow. Darius stayed on the attack, snaking his long body around Solosis and then trapping her with his body.
    "Solosis!" she cried loudly as Darius began to squeeze tight.
    However, while Solosis was in pain, she was still able to attack. Psychic-types mostly relied upon their psychic abilities - those would come in handy here. Solosis began glowing brightly, and a blast of psychic energy that looked like it contained all the colors of the rainbow was launched in all directions - the highly versatile Psywave attack.
    Darius winced, but maintained his grip around Solosis. From that distance, Psywave would definitely have been a stinger, but Darius was powerful enough to keep his grip intact.
    ooc: Sorry I took so long. Rangering is hard! XD
    Darius's aim was true. The tip of his tail struck Solosis like a fist, knocking the greenish blob backward. Darius didn't stop moving; he went right into his next attack, launching himself through the air at Solosis and coming down with a loud thump, wrapping the full length of his body around Solosis's tiny self. His muscular length contracted, squeezing hard. I winced - that was a grip that could break bones at full strength. It seemed that Darius wasn't going completely savage, however, as Solosis was still able to turn around and shoot a blast of prismatic energy at Darius and hit him full in the face. My grass snake shook his head as if dizzied by the attack but held on, retaliating with an extra squeeze.
    "All right, Darius, that's enough!" I called. Following his orders like the perfect little soldier - as if - he uncurled his body and slithered backward, moving toward me, waiting for his orders. I sized up Solosis, wondering how best to proceed. I needed to deal damage, but not too much... And it would really help my chances if I got Solosis immobilized somehow. Slam was the ideal move, but I was afraid of some sort of trickery from Solosis.
    "Use a Vine Whip from a distance to daze Solosis!" I shouted to Darius. "Then, use Slam again!" My perfect little soldier raised his body off the ground before beginning his Vine Whip attack; two long green vines rose from within his collar. He slithered closer to Solosis, ready to smack her with the vines and so begin his second assault.
    @VeloJello ; No worries, I've got quite a bit on my plate as well lol
    "All right, Darius, that's enough!" Alice shouted. Darius nodded, and released Solosis. The Pokemon crumpled to the ground, clearly hurting from the move. Alice continued pushing, getting right back on the attack.
    "Use a Vine Whip from a distance to daze Solosis!" Alice shouted. "Then, use Slam again!"
    Darius nodded, and a vine reached out from within the collar around his neck. The vine reached out and slapped Solosis across the face. As the Pokemon recoiled, Darius sprung himself at Solosis, slamming his tail into the Pokemon with another Slam move.
    "Solosis!" she shouted. But, she maintained her ground. Clearly wanting to level the playing field a bit, she unleashed a powerful Psychic attack. The blast of blue energy collided into Darius at a high speed, and knocked the Pokemon to the side. I was impressed - that had been a strong one. Solosis must have realized how bad she was getting beat and allowed the adrenaline to kick in, because it was doubtful a Psychic attack would do that much normally.
    Darius slowly picked himself up, and slithered around Solosis slowly, waiting for his next order.
    Darius struck Solosis across the face with a vine, causing the little Pokemon to yelp and retreat a handful of inches. Darius used the opportunity to lunge, slamming his tail into Solosis to deal some real damage. Solosis let out a loud cry as she was knocked backward. However, the little Pokemon continued to hover, determined not to let Darius get the better of her. I couldn't help but be impressed by her fortitude; not many Pokemon would stand against such a powerful opponent like Darius willingly.
    A blast of bright blue energy left Solosis's body in a sudden rush. Darius hissed, coiling his body to brace himself, but despite his precaution the attack knocked him to the ground. I was surprised - Solosis must have been desperate, letting all of her power like that. Slowly, Darius rose, hissing angrily and circling around Solosis menacingly, his sinuous body tense, his leafy ears twitching - the only visible display of anger he would make. I watched him carefully, trying to gauge how hurt he was. It was always hard to tell with the Serperior; no matter how bad he felt, he always tried to mask it, as if pain was equivalent to weakness.
    "Use Wrap again!" I shouted. "While you're at close range, use Mega Drain to give yourself some healing!" Darius didn't have to be asked twice. He lunged, moving quickly to make his strike.
    @VeloJello ; Again, sorry about how late this one comes.
    Alice immediately got back on the offensive.
    "Use Wrap again!" she shouted. "While you're at close range, use Mega Drain to give yourself some healing!"
    Darius wasted no time, coiling himself against Solosis once again. Solosis cried out, but she couldn't do anything - at this point, she was too exhausted. Darius squeezed tightly, and then, dark green bubbles of energy appeared from Solosis' body and were leeched into Darius. This was Mega Drain, the health recovery move. It wasn't as powerful as the similar Giga Drain, but it was still a solid move with a nifty side effect.
    Solosis cried out loudly, and I watched her struggle for a few more moments. Then, she was finally able to muster up the energy she needed and knock Darius away. A black ball of energy appeared in front of Solosis, and she flung it right into Darius' neck. The attack, of course, was Shadow Ball - we had already seen the Abra that Alice captured earlier use the same move.
    Darius immediately recoiled, and backed off. After replenishing his health with Mega Drain, it seemed Shadow Ball's effect had been effectively negated, returning him to about where he was earlier. Solosis, however, was clearly beginning to tire. She was nearly ready for a capture.
    OOC: It's really okay. :)
    ~~~~~

    Darius threw his body around the exhausted Solosis, who cried out in pain and protest but made no other move to escape. Squeezing hard, he contracted his coil until he was dealing damage. As he squeezed, little green orbs of energy leeched out of Solosis's body, floating toward Darius and sinking beneath his scaly skin. The Giga Drain attack would be doing its work inside, in Darius's muscles and blood, boosting his natural healing speed hugely for a very brief time with the use of Solosis's life force.

    For a few brief seconds, I thought that Darius was just going to keep constricting Solosis until the little green blob of plasma fainted. However, Solosis managed to scrape together just enough strength for another attack. A swirl of inky blackness formed in front of her body, coalescing into a sphere of shadows that she quickly blasted Darius with. Darius let out a hiss of surprise as the Shadow Ball attack struck him just below the collar, sending him flying backwards. He landed in the leaf mold with a loud thump before picking himself up and slithering away with a prim air about him. He seemed to be fine; that Mega Drain had helped his health a good deal, and the Shadow Ball didn't seem to have put him too far back. Solosis, however, was a different story. She looked battered and bruised, and she just barely floated above the ground. I knew that I would be hard-pressed to find a better opportunity to capture the Psychic-type.

    Feeling a good deal more confident than with Abra - for whatever reason; my brain is weird - I waved Darius away, calling out, "All right, good job, Darius!" He slithered obediently to the side, giving me a clear shot at Solosis. I reached back into my bag, rifling through it quickly but not in too much of a hurry, until I pulled out another shiny Park Ball. I tossed it through the misty air, watching as it bounced off of Solosis's gel-coated body - nearly knocking the poor thing to the ground in the process - and popped open with a mechanical snap, sending out a bright red beam of light that engulfed Solosis and swallowed her up. With another snap, it shut and dropped onto the soft ground, rocking from side to side as Solosis tried to break free. I watched carefully, willing the Ball to stay closed.

    BP-4: Serperior VS Solosis

    Ranger John Shay

    @VeloJello ; I haven't found anyone to take this run yet, but I feel like it's wrong of me to leave you hanging while waiting. So, I'll continue doing this until I find somebody, if I can. Again, sorry about this lol.

    "All right, good job Darius!" Alice shouted. The Serperior returned to her side, and she now took out a Park Ball. I had to admit I was a little surprised. Solosis seemed to have a good chunk of health left, and I personally would've attacked again before trying for the capture. I watched to see what would happen as Alice threw the Park Ball.

    Solosis was sucked into the capsule, and it began wobbling violently. However, as I predicted, Solosis still had some energy left. The ball shook once, then opened up again as Solosis flew out, throwing the ball back into Alice's hand at the same time. I suppose she was fortunate that the ball had come right back to her rather than falling somewhere where it would be hard to retrieve or exploding altogether, but it was clear that Alice needed to make one more small push before she could safely seal the deal.

    "Alice, I think you may need to attack once more before you can capture Solosis," I said. "However, if you don't want to waste time and energy doing that, feel free to try your luck at another capture attempt instead."

    Solosis didn't waste the opportunity as I gave advice to Alice and distracted her from the battle at hand. Solosis fired a bright, multi-coloured beam of energy at Solosis - the Bug-type attack, Signal Beam. Serperior immediately recoiled as the attack landed for super-effective damage, but it didn't look like anything to get too worried about.

    If I were Alice, I would pay more attention to the choice facing me: attack and significantly improve my odds of a capture, or skip the attack and bet on the coin toss that the next capture attempt on Solosis would be successful.

    OOC: Lol, short post is short. Sorry it's not very great - I'm pretty busy atm. :(

    Unfortunately for me, Solosis managed to escape. As she broke out of the ball, however, it was snapped back into my head, so everything wasn't lost. I closed my fingers around the Pokeball and scrunched up my nose in frustration. This Solosis was starting to get on my nerves.

    I looked at Darius. He seemed to be in a fair bit of pain from that Signal Beam. I needed to knock Solosis's health down further anyway - I may as well do it in a way that would help my own Pokemon out. "Darius, use one more Mega Drain!" I shouted, readying the Park Ball in my hand. Once he finished with his attack, I would toss it, and hopefully catch myself a Solosis.

    Darius's body began to glow with a faint green energy and he closed his eyes to focus. Tendrils of light rose from beneath his leafy collar, twin beams of energy arced toward Solosis. I watched carefully for my chance, waiting until the Mega Drain had run its course to try capturing the wild Psychic-type one last time.

    @VeloJello I was gonna have this up last night. Oh well.

    Ranger Justin Cross
    ---

    "I'm late!", I screamed to myself as I hit my alarm snooze button.

    I quickly stormed out of bed, got into some cold weather attire, and grabbed Tessa and Dave's Pokeballs as I ran out the front door. I then threw Tessa's Pokeball, awaking the Togekiss from her slumber.

    "Come on, Tessa, we need to get going towards Meteor Valley. Our very first trainer is out there, you know!"

    Tessa mearly pulled off some sort of shrugging move with her wings, and then she motioned me to get on her back. I did so, and we began flying towards a location marked on a little GPS I got after passing the test. I then felt a ringing in my left pocket, which I remembered was my PDA, containing all the info on my Trainer.

    "Okay, her name is Alice, her Pokemon are Salamence and Serperior, and she has encountered three Pokemon..."

    Little did I know, we were really close to the marked position. I asked Tessa to land, and when we did, I put her back in her Pokeball, and I started running. After a short spell, I saw three figures: two humans, and a large snake. I ran up behind them, and noticed one of them was John Shay, the guy who had called me out here. I told him that he was free to go, and he obliged and left.

    "Uh, hello. I'm ranger Justin Cross, the replacement for John," I uttered. " Ah, so you're capturing a Solosis I see. It looks pretty injured, too."

    It was at this point I saw the green tendrils being fired from her Serperior towards the Solosis, a Mega Drain attack for sure. The green tendrils managed to make contact with the cell Pokemon, and it's energy began being drained. After a bit, the tendrils retreated off of the Solosis and came back to Serperior, healing it. In its weakened state, Solosis's eyes began glowing a blue hue, and glass-like bubble surrounded it on every side. It had used Reflect, a barrier that could sponge up some damage from a physical move. Solosis then stated glowing yellow, an attempt to regain it's health using Recover.

    "Uhm, Ms. Alice. If you can't break it's concentration soon, it will regain some health. But still, it's pretty injured. I'd hurry and just throw that Pokeball, if I were you."

    Just as Darius's Mega Drain attack was about to hit Solosis, I saw a stranger coming up behind me. He looked young, about my age - another Trainer? He spoke to John for a few seconds, and when the latter went away the stranger came to me. "Uh, hello. I'm ranger Justin Cross, the replacement for John," he said, sounding a bit uncertain. "Ah, so you're capturing a Solosis I see. It looks pretty injured, too."

    "Yep," I said tensely, turning back to Darius. He had finished his attack, and now Solosis was glowing blue. A bubble of blue energy surrounded its spherical body, and then as if that weren't enough, it started to glow yellow. My new Ranger seemed nervous thanks to this.

    "Uhm, Ms. Alice," he said. "If you can't break its concentration soon, it will regain some health. But still, it's pretty injured. I'd hurry and just throw that Pokeball, if I were you."

    I nodded - that was a good idea. I pitched the Pokeball as hard as I could. "Stay in there, little bugger," I muttered, hoping that the second time would be the charm.

    @VeloJello The dice seem to not be on your side, Jello.

    As Alice threw that Pokeball, I was rather sure that this capture would be over. It conked Solosis square on the head and turned him into that familiar red hue, signifying that the ball had activated it capture mechanism perfectly. The ball then fell right to the ground, and we entered one of the most nerve wracking parts of battling: the capture. The ball turned from side to side, showing the Cell Pokemon's struggle to squirm out. I thought this would be a cinch, but then the ball opened up…

    Out of the ball came that same circular body, obviously tired from resisting the rest a Pokeball would provide.As the ball return to Alice via the return mechanism, I was rather astonished how resilient this Solosis was. Solosis looked quite fed up, but almost to the point where it was almost tired of all this madness. Solosis began to focus on what it thought was important: recovering. It re-bathed itself in that same yellow light as before, desperate to secure more energy to keep going.
    “Ms. Alice, I think you will need to just subdue it somehow before pulling this off or just give it another go, because it just won’t go down!” I stated.

    OOC: Sorry for the short post. Busy busy busy!

    Apparently, Solosis are stubborn Pokemon.

    I resisted the urge to spit out several dozen swear words as I watched Solosis spring free of the Pokeball for a second time; instead, I decided to take Justin's advice. The stupid blob obviously wasn't going to stay put otherwise - that much was pretty clear.

    "Darius!" I shouted. "I want you to use Leaf Blade. Don't knock Solosis out - just stun her!" Darius nodded tersely before slithering forward, his tail raised. The leaves on the tip of it began to glow with green energy. I readied my throwing arm, holding my Park Ball in my hand. Hopefully the third time would turn out to be the charm.

    @VeloJello I'm in study hall right now and I should be able to get most of this in.

    Ranger Justin Cross
    ---

    This battle was dragging out WAY to long for Alice's liking. She looked as if her brain was about to detonate with an explosion of cussing and vulgarity. I was, in all honesty, suprized this tiny little Solosis was holding on THIS much. I hoped my advice would get through the I-want-to-choke-Solosis part of Alice's mind, and she would stay calm and collected.

    "Darius!" She commanded. "I want you to use Leaf Blade. Don't knock Solosis out - just stun her!"

    The clarity in her voice showed my advice had gone through and that she had formulated a perfect plan. Darius slid across the surface of the Valley at intense speed, his tail glowing a bright green hue. Darius then got right up in Solosis's face -- showing who had more endurance, then purposefully spun around quickly, only allowing the tip of his bright tail collide with Darius. The laws of motion then came into play, spinning Solosis at a rather impressive speed of it's own. After a little bit, it stopped the rotational roller-coaster, and it looked like it might lose it's lunch. This dazed state is just what Alice needs for that magic capture!

    "Go now, Alice!"

    Before Solosis could even blink, Darius was on her, looking just as frustrated as I was. He slithered right up to Solosis before whirling, catching Solosis by the tip of his green-glowing tail. He was absolutely marvelous, spinning Solosis around, dazing her so that she could be captured easily. Thanking my lucky stars that Darius had decided to listen and show restraint, something utterly foreign to him, I grinned. This had to be it - the opportunity I was waiting for. "Go now, Alice!" Justin cried. Just what I was thinking.

    Damn, I hope this finally works, I thought angrily as I chucked the Pokeball with all of my strength.

    [MENTION]VeloJello[MENTION] I should post in ALL the RPs so we can maximize the money we get for Christmas bonuses.

    ---

    The Solosis looked absolutely ravaged; she was struck by so many attacks during this event I was still surprised she was still up and kicking. But Alice looked like she has had enough of all of this. She wound up her arm and chucked that Pokeball at rocket speed, and it flew, and flew and flew...And then it hit Solosis square in the cell coat. She lost her telekinetic grip and started to fall, but she didn't hit the ground before the red glow enveloping her dragged her into it's mechanical grasp. The ball popped, locked, and fell to the ground.

    Come on, stay in there!I was so ecstatic that this might be my first capture assist of the park. I hope for Alice's sake we get done soon to, because she may blow a gasket if this thing comes out again. One, two...

    The ball clicked. The capture was a success!

    "Cool Alice, you caught a Solosis! Well done," I said with great excitement. "Unfortunately, you can use it right away, park rules and such." I ran over and picked up the sealed orb and put it into my coat pocket. This also reminded me to grab Dave's ball out of that pocket.

    "Since we have a spare moment, I should introduce myself. I'm Novice Ranger Justin Cross, at your service!" I then throw Dave's ball into the air, and the blue blob I've come to know as a friend emerged. "And this is Dave, my Ditto and best friend."

    "So, what should we do now?"

    ((OOC: I'm back! Wow! Fab! Sorry it's been so long, hopefully you don't mind continuing???))

    The Pokeball's click was pretty much the most reassuring sound I'd ever heard. "Yeah!" I shouted, grinning from a mix of excitement and relief. Even Darius, who still remained aloof and detached, seemed to relax a little. I walked over to him and patted him on the head, not bothering with the Pokeball since I knew that my Ranger would just pick it up anyway.

    My Ranger seemed to be just as excited as me. "Cool Alice, you caught a Solosis!" he exclaimed emphatically. "Well done! Unfortunately, you can use it right away, park rules and such." He scurried over to the Pokeball and scooped it out of the leaf mold. It shrunk in his hand to a manageable size; he then slipped it into his pocket and pulled out a 'ball of his own. "Since we have a spare moment, I should introduce myself," my Ranger continued, still sounding as enthusiastic as ever. "I'm Novice Ranger Justin Cross, at your service!" Before my very eyes, he tossed his Pokeball into the air. In a burst of white light, a blob of blue goo with eyes and a wide, dopey smile appeared. I found myself smiling back. "And this is Dave, my Ditto and best friend."

    "Sweet," I grinned. "I love Ditto." I then turned back to Justin Cross and looked him over. He was about my height, with pale skin, glasses, and a mop of brown hair. He didn't look extremely professional, but that was okay by me. "I'm Alice, which you probably already know. This is Darius." I gave the snake another pat. He looked unimpressed, but that was pretty much the way he always looked. "He's a grump," I added; as I spoke, I noticed a cut along his side. Wincing, I bent down to examine the injury. Much to my relief, it wasn't too deep.

    "So, what should we do now?" Justin asked as I completed my medical examination and rose to my feet. I looked around at the forest. The mist was mostly clear around the scene of the battle, but it formed an eerie miasma of blurriness all around us. There was sure to be another great Pokemon waiting deeper down. I looked back at Justin with a shrug and a smile.

    "Keep following the path, I guess."

    Ranger Ataro

    It's been a while since our last run with a trainer. Summer was coming soon and I had intended to go on a vacation. I wasn't sure where I would go yet, but I would probably need to apply for a week of leave period with the office. I flipped through my huge stack of unorganized papers to look for the application form that I had gotten yesterday. Suddenly, my phone had buzzed with a ringtone. I took it up from the table and scanned the new email that I had just received.

    ...

    Apparently, there was a trainer stranded in Meteor Valley currently and I am to be deployed over there immediately. Seeing as there were not many other rangers in the office currently, it was kind of a no brainer. This was probably very urgent though, since the email has addressed that my prospective trainer had already had a change of two rangers now and it would be best to get there as soon as possible. We needed to uphold our company's reputation after all. There were several other places that allowed you to capture Pokemon, and we definitely needed to ensure that our competition doesn't get the best of us.

    Quickly, I took the items that I needed and dumped them into my bag and rushed off. Meteor Valley was somewhere around some mountain valley area and to walk there itself would probably take quite a couple of hours. That is why teleportation transportation is the most frequent type of transportation in the Park. By harnessing the powers of Psychic-type Pokemon, we can make use of their Teleport to transport us instantly to nearby spaces.

    I made my way to the room as fast as I could. I had needed to take a couple of elevators and walk across several rooms. It was not long before I had spotted the iconic white room which had three Alakazan sitting in a meditation posture. Without even briefing them on where I had to go, I was motioned to quickly enter the sphere that was created by them. In what seemed to be mere milliseconds, I found myself in a contrasting dark area. The Alakazam were incredibly high-leveled Pokemon and they were skilled enough to instantly transport you to a very close proximity with your trainer. I looked around and realized that this was probably an extended room of another area for there was an opening beside me that led to another place.

    I passed through the opening and found myself in a brighter lit room. There were several meteors on the ground that reflected the little unnatural light sources. I had found a young woman and a man standing ahead of me. Upon noticing me, my fellow ranger, Cross, had waved to me and promptly passed me two Park Balls.

    "Hey, thanks for doing this. I needed to attend to something urgently all of a sudden! I will be going now," he said and left hurriedly.

    I waved back at him before introducing myself to my new trainer. "Hello there. I presume you must be Alice. My name is Ataro and I will be your replacement ranger. I'm aware that this has gone on for quite a while. Don't worry though, I will try to make this as fast as possible," I assured her.

    She probably didn't have to stay here any longer anyway. Looking into the Park Ball that Cross had gave me, I realized that she had already captured two Pokemon. And it was not just any Pokemon. In it was an Abra, and a Solosis. Both of these Psychic-types were considerably rare, but they were extremely powerful in battle. Many trainers had sought after them. This has been a very good run for Alice, if I should say so myself.

    I led her deeper into the cave by entering a crevice just right ahead. There seemed to be no meteors in this room unlike the previous one since the ambience was kind of dark in a gloomy and ghostly way. The very little and sparsely placed lights did little to help provide light source. Suddenly, I felt something creep up towards us from behind. I turned back slowly to notice a Shedinja right behind us.

    It was probably following us closely right from the moment we entered this room. A Bug and Ghost-type Pokemon that belonged to Ninjask's counterpart, it was widely speculated and agreed that Shedinja was in fact the hollow cast and structure that Ninjask, or Nincada, had left behind while evolving from Nincada to Ninjask. It was definitely creepy though.

    "So... interested in a creepy-looking Shedinja perhaps?"

    @Ataro
    ((OOC: Just a heads-up, I'm switching to third-person in keeping with a similar switch during my Rangering))

    There was a sudden movement in the mist before Alice and Justin could get moving. A young man - in fact, he looked more like a teenager to Alice - emerged from the mist. Alice nearly jumped out of her skin, while Darius tensed and lifted his tail, clearly prepared for a fight. However, it seemed like the stranger was expected, because Justin greeted him with a wave and a relieved smile.

    "Hey," he said, passing my used Park Balls over to the newcomer, "thanks for doing this. I needed to attend to something urgently all of a sudden! I will be going now." With that, he turned and hurried back up the path toward the Ranger Outpost with his Ditto in tow, leaving Alice extra-confused and a little dazed.

    "Hello there. I presume you must be Alice," the newcomer said. He seemed friendly enough. "My name is Ataro and I will be your replacement ranger. I'm aware that this has gone on for quite a while. Don't worry though, I will try to make this as fast as possible." There was a note of embarrassment in his voice, as if he knew that Alice had already had the switcheroo pulled on her once before. Alice was a little bit tempted to be annoyed, but honestly it didn't matter too much to her. After all, if people had to take care of important stuff, then they had to take care of important stuff, and that was that.

    The new Ranger - Ataro? What an odd name! - then turned around and began to head deeper into the woods, veering off the path to head into a cave. Alice followed, deciding to let Darius stay outside with her. The cave grew dark; fortunately, a few lights had been scattered through the stony tunnels to keep travelers from bumping their heads or toes. It was slightly eerie, but Alice wasn't bothered; so long as she had Darius with her, she was safe.

    That was why, when he tensed and turned to look behind him, she whirled around so fast that she nearly fell on her butt.

    "So... interested in a creepy-looking Shedinja perhaps?" Ataro asked, but Alice didn't answer right away. She was looking carefully at the Shedinja, who seemed to be staring at her through the empty slits that split its shell where the eyes should have been. Its back was shiny and caramel-colored, almost as if it was made out of gold. There were six long appendages on its back that might have been wings, if it weren't for the fact that they looked like they were rotting and that they didn't move when it floated. Some sort of silver halo rested above its head, as if the insect were supposed to be some sort of ghastly angel.

    Given the Shedinja's appearance, Alice's first instinct was to get away rather than to fight it. Even if it wasn't so doggone creepy, it wasn't much use on a team; its ability granted it immunity from most attacks, but it was so fragile that any attack that did manage to hit it would only have to do so once. Alice shook her head and glanced back at Ataro. "Not in the slightest," she replied. "Let's am-scray; this thing gives me the creeps."
