    Brayden ran over to his Nidoqueen cheering. The Nidoqueen roared in happiness as well, and they both seemed very happy. In fact, Brayden was so happy that Lizzie had to pick him up and shake him to get him to finally calm down. I guess he'd been hunting for a Buneary for a long time, because he was so excited it was almost scary. The Trainer finally came to his senses, though, and he thanked the Nidoqueen for all of her hard work before returning her to a PokeBall.

    “I’m ready to head off now, thanks," he said to me. "Although, I didn’t think I’d run into a Buneary so quickly, so I don’t think there’s any other Pokémon I want. But please, lead the way.”

    "Well, I'm sure we'll find some cool stuff," I replied with a smile. "There's plenty of powerful Pokemon here in the Gardens, especially if you like Normal-types like that Buneary. Now let's get going and see what comes our way."

    We followed the path onwards, towards the glasshouses. There were plenty of Pokemon there, of all kinds and power levels. The hope was that we'd find something decent, although so far Brayden had caught every Pokemon he'd come across, so he certainly couldn't complain.

    About ten minutes later, the large blue-white structures came into sight. I pointed them out excitedly, but while I was doing so I saw a Pokemon watching us from underneath a fern. It was round and blue with a large red flower on its head. The red flower was speckled white and throbbing slightly, and because of this it filled me with a slight foreboding.

    "Well, how do you feel about a Gloom before we move on?" I asked Brayden.

    Chainy responded to me, “Well, I’m sure we’ll find some cool stuff. There’s plenty of powerful Pokémon here in the Park, especially if you like Normal types like that Buneary. Now let’s get going and see what comes out way.” I nodded and followed the ranger as he continued down the path. I had already caught two very good Pokémon, and Chainy said that there were so many other good Pokémon here in the Botanical Gardens to try and catch. I couldn’t wait.

    We continued down the path in silence; I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Gardens and a light breeze brushed past. Ahead of us, numerous glass buildings loomed over the immediate surroundings, and my ranger pointed them out to me eagerly. From what I could tell, they were large greenhouses. I figured that they played host to a large amount of interesting plants, and an even larger amount of the local wildlife. It seemed like a great place to continue exploring, and I couldn’t wait to get going.
    Chainy quickly stopped however, as he had seemed to notice something that I hadn’t. He was cautiously watching a small fern, which was quivering slightly. I looked a bit closer, and I could see a small plant like creature hiding underneath. It looked like a larger version of a small Pokémon I had encountered before. It was called an Oddish, and it was a small blue bulb with a tuft of grass on his head. This Pokémon hiding under the plant looked like a larger bulb, but it adorned a dark red flower on its head. It peered at me ominously from under the shadow of the fern, and I couldn’t tell if it was scared, or about to attack.

    Chainy pulled his gaze away from the Pokémon, and asked me, “Well, how do you feel about a Gloom before we move on?” It obviously looked like a Grass Type Pokémon, and it would sit nicely in my collection. However, if I remembered right, I was only allowed to catch a grand total of three Pokémon in the Park before my ranger escorted me out, and I didn’t want to leave just yet. I remembered something else too, and I pulled my last remaining Park Ball out of my pocket. I couldn’t catch this Gloom, even if I wanted to. I needed a stronger Park Ball. I had noticed that the Park was strange like that. It had never been a necessity to have a stronger type of Pokeball to try and catch an evolved Pokémon, but I guess that’s how things worked here.

    “As much as I would love to try and catch this, I simply don’t have the Park Ball in order to try, and I would really love to explore those greenhouses you pointed out,” I informed the ranger as I started off down the path again. I swung out wide past the fern as I went, trying to avoid going near that Gloom. It surely was a creepy Grass type, and it was a shame to leave it behind, but it was probably better staying here in its natural habitat.

    “As much as I would love to try and catch this, I simply don’t have the Park Ball in order to try, and I would really love to explore those greenhouses you pointed out,” Brayden said.

    "Ah, not a problem, let's just move on then. That is, if you will let us, little one?" I asked the Gloom.

    The Grass type backed up into the undergrowth, disappearing from sight. That was a pretty good sign that it didn't want to battle. I grinned at Brayden and led him towards the huge glass structures. They were one of the features of the Park that us Rangers took the most pride in - the greenhouses were able to replicate any and all natural environments that plants grew in. Aside from being a Pokemon reserve, we often cultivated plants that were dying out in their natural locales to be used in conservation efforts. This made battles in the greenhouse very hard, because smashing a pot with an endangered plant in it was a serious offence.

    As we got close to one of the side-doors on one of the greenhouses, I heard a light thudding sound. I couldn't detect where it was coming from until a large brown/cream Pokemon bounced around the corner of one of the buildings. It looked at us curiously but seemed otherwise indifferent to our presence.

    "I know you already have a Buneary, but do you want to try and catch a Lopunny?" I asked Brayden.

    I heard my ranger reply to me, “Ah, not a problem, let’s just move on then.” He bent down to quickly address the small grass type Pokémon, and added, “That is, if you will let us, little one?” I’m assuming that the Pokémon that Chainy had called Gloom had slunk away, as I didn’t see or hear from it again. Just thinking about that Pokémon sent shivers up my spine, I didn’t want to think about what it might evolve into.

    Chainy continued to lead me towards the greenhouses, and their sheer size alone was enough to impress me. They dominated the nearby surroundings, and many of the trees were dwarfed in comparison. Through the glass walls of the buildings, I could see a multitude of different plants, from very different climates; a lot of them I had never even seen before. I was looking forward to the little trip through the greenhouses, and if I was lucky, I would find another awesome Pokémon that I would be able to catch.

    We walked along the outside of one of the first greenhouses, and I looked inside excitedly, but I could barely see any Pokémon. Chainy stopped suddenly and I nearly walked straight into him. I quickly realised why, as I brought my attention around at the sound of soft footsteps approaching. A large, rabbit-like Pokémon rounded the side of the greenhouse, and looked at use quizzically. It was a Pokémon that looked all too familiar to me – Lopunny. It was the evolved version of Buneary, and it wasn’t hard to see why. It had the same cream-colouring as its pre-evolution, as well as the same rabbit like features. Buneary’s most notable feature, its ears, had also carried on through its evolution, as the Lopunny had long ears that it could no doubt use in a similar fashion to Buneary.

    I watched the Pokémon silently for a few seconds as my excitement peaked inside of me. This wild Pokémon was indeed a marvellous creature. Every single essence of my being said I should try and catch it, despite having a Buneary already. Chainy just looked at me, and asked, “I know you have a Buneary already, but do you want to try and catch a Lopunny?” I couldn’t contain my excitement anymore, and I cheered quietly when the ranger invited me to battle the wild Pokémon. But a sickening feeling quickly settled in my stomach as I remembered that I would not be able to catch this Pokémon. I only had a regular Park Ball with me, and that simply would not be enough to try and catch this Lopunny.

    I sighed and I quietly answered Chainy’s question, “I want to. I really, really do. But, I can’t, so can we please move on?” I just looked down and kicked the ground with my feet as I turned to walk away, cursing my idiocy under my breath. I had a Buneary already, so this shouldn’t be a problem to me, but I most likely won’t get a chance to capture such a Lopunny again, and it hurt.

    “I want to. I really, really do. But, I can’t, so can we please move on?” Brayden asked, avoiding looking at the bunny. It almost seemed like he was on the brink of physical pain. I felt sorry for the guy. I felt even sorrier when the Lopunny saw us and hopped over. I tried to guide him towards the greenhouse before the Normal-type reached us, but no luck. The Lopunny cut us off at the door and looked up curiously at Brayden.

    "Oops, looks like it doesn't want us to leave just yet," I said to Brayden apologetically. "You're going to have to battle it away. Unless you want to buy a PokeDoll and leg it? That's probably the more viable option."

    I was curious as to why the Lopunny brought out such a visceral reaction in Brayden. If he had such a strong aversion to the species, why had he come into the Park looking for a Buneary? Perhaps he didn't intend to evolve it? Whatever the reason, it was private, so I wasn't going to ask. Didn't stop me from wanting to find out, though.

    OOC: Buying your PokeDoll >:c $4,500 - $500 = $4,000 @ChainReaction01

    I felt like absolute crap. Because of my own idiocy, I had missed a perfect opportunity to catch a Pokémon I had been looking for since I had met the certain trainer who had inspired me. He was an expert battler, and he was one of the few people I had met who could battle well with Pokémon that weren’t overpowered and overused, and with Pokémon that I liked to use. I had never tried battling with a Lopunny before though, until I had met this trainer. Needless to say, even though I had a Buneary already, not being able to catch this Lopunny as well was upsetting.

    I heard a soft thudding noise closing in from behind, and I desperately hoped it wasn’t the Lopunny. But I looked behind me and to my dismay, I saw the Lopunny hopping over to me and Chainy. My ranger quickly grabbed my arm and directed me over to the door of the greenhouse next to us, but the Lopunny placed itself in our path, and gazed at me innocently with its large, green eyes. My ranger shot me a look of sympathy, and said, “Oops, looks like it doesn’t want us to leave yet. You’re going to have to battle it away, unless you want to buy a PokéDoll and leg it? That’s probably the most viable option.”

    I sighed and reached out to the Lopunny slowly. I let it sniff my hand curiously, before gently petting it. Its fur was luxuriously soft, despite being a completely wild Pokémon. I withdrew my hand and looked away from the beautiful Pokémon in front of me. I dug my hand deep into my pocket and fished around for a moment, pulling out a decent amount of money. I counted out 500 dollars, and handed it to the ranger. “I think that’s enough for a PokéDoll, if my memory serves,” I told the ranger, smiling meekly. “Let’s get out of here, I wanna see what else I can try and catch in here.”

    ~~~~~
    Brayden sighed and extended his hand the the Lopunny. It sniffed him and allowed itself to be petted. In a way, I was kind of glad that Brayden wasn't able to battle this Lopunny: it seemed too gentle to be a good battler and I wouldn't want to see such a sweet Pokemon get hurt.
    “I think that’s enough for a PokéDoll, if my memory serves. Let’s get out of here, I wanna see what else I can try and catch in here,” Brayden said while smiling and indicating the greenhouse. I could tell that the smile was semi-forced, but that was okay. I knew of Trainers who didn't react well to certain species - hell, I had a long-standing problem with Crobat. It wasn't as bad these days, but they still caused me to shudder a little inside.
    I took the money from Brayden and gave him a PokeDoll in exchange. Suitably enough, this one was shaped like a Buneary. Brayden tossed the doll back in the direction we had come, and the Lopunny hopped after it. Acting quickly, I jerked the door of the greenhouse open and we slipped inside.
    It was almost like entering a different world. The air was heavy and humid in here, like in the rainforest. The steel frames that supported the roof were wrapped with vines, and small tufts of grass poked up between the cobblestone path. To the untrained eye it may look like the greenhouse was in disarray, but actually, it was ordered chaos. No plant was allowed to overgrow its bounds - it was just that some of the boundaries were wandering and vertical moreso than horizontal.
    One of the plants was swaying side to side, which was strange given that there was no wind in here. Upon closer inspection of the yellow flower-head, I realised it wasn't a plant at all, but a Pokemon. Specifically, a Sunflora. I didn't know why this one was in here - they usually preferred more temperate climates.
    "Seeing as you don't have a Super Ball, you probably won't want to battle this either then, huh?" I asked Brayden.
    @ChainReaction01;
    Chainy took my money quietly and fished a PokéDoll out of his pack. He handed it to me and I weighed it heftily in my hands. It was quite light, but it seemed very durable. I supposed that it would have to be, if it was to fool a wild Pokémon without breaking or being ripped to pieces. This particular PokéDoll looked like a Buneary, similiar to the one I had caught previously, except it had a goofy look on its face. It was cute, and I wanted to keep it, but this particular PokéDoll was for the Lopunny, so that was out of the question. Maybe I could buy one from my ranger when this trip was done.
    I held the PokéDoll up so that the Lopunny could see it clearly, and before gently throwing it into the bushes back down the path. The rabbit Pokémon hopped away gracefully, and Chainy quickly guided me into the greenhouse we tried to enter before. This time, we managed to get inside and I was confronted with a completely different environment. There were thick trees everywhere, as well as innumerable tropical plants. It looked like this greenhouse was a kind of tropical rainforest, perhaps from a foreign land. The sweet, heavy aroma of flowers reached my nose, and I couldn’t hold back a sneeze. The sounds of the forest enveloped me; the chirping of the bird Pokémon rang out from the treetops and the calls of wild Pokémon pierced the thick shrubbery. I recognised a few of the calls that I was able to pick out of the raucous noise, but others were unknown to me.
    Chainy led us down the roughly made stone path that lead deeper into the artificial forest. A lot of the plants crept over the side of the path, and I had to be careful not to trip over or crush a plant as we went. I’m sure the rangers would not be happy with me if I was to go destroying plants in here.
    My ranger stopped promptly, and curiously inspected a particular plant on the side of the path, and asked me, “Seeing as you don’t have a Super Ball, you probably won’t want to battle this either then, huh?” I didn’t know what he was talking about, because I couldn’t see any Pokémon near us. I knelt down to inspect the same flower as he had. It was a bright yellow sunflower, which seemed to bop along to its own beat, and it seemed out of place in this rainforest climate. I couldn’t see any Pokémon hiding under the plant, similiar to how the Gloom had concealed itself, but then I realised that the flower was actually the Pokémon he was talking about. Realising that it was there, I now recognised it as a Sunflower – a cheerful grass type Pokémon that loves the sunlight. It was another Grass type Pokémon that I would love to add to my collection, but as my ranger had said, I didn’t have a Super Ball, so I didn’t want to disturb this dainty little Pokémon.
    “You’re completely right; I don’t want to disturb this Pokémon. It looks happy where it is anyway, even if it doesn’t look like the perfect area for it. I’m ready to buy a PokéDoll if necessary,” I informed Chainy, sticking my hand in my pocket and getting a firm grip on my now smaller collection of money.
    “You’re completely right. I don’t want to disturb this Pokémon. It looks happy where it is anyway, even if it doesn’t look like the perfect area for it. I’m ready to buy a PokéDoll if necessary,” Brayden said to me.
    "I don't think that's going to be necessary," I replied. "This Sunflora seems like it's quite happy to stay where it is."
    Sure enough, as we went to move on, the Sunflora didn't object. I wasn't even sure that it had noticed us. Either way, Brayden didn't need to purchase a doll, which made me happy as a Ranger. I always liked saving my Trainers money and I hated asking them to pay for dolls, but they cost money to make. We didn't actually make a profit on the dolls - we sold them at cost, only charging enough to cover what it cost them to make.
    We continued on through the greenhouse, admiring all the exotic plant-life. I was sure to keep Brayden away from any of the dangerous plants. One of the more exotic ones looked like an apple tree, but the "apples" actually contained acid-spraying protrusions. We'd had a few close calls with that one before.
    Suddenly, there was a huge crashing sound, and the entire greenhouse shook. Some of the plants swayed from side to side, and I sighed as I heard a pot crash to the ground in the distance. I didn't worry about going and finding it, though - whichever Ranger was on Greenhouse Duty would be along shortly. There was another crash, and this time I heard some glass break.
    "Do you want to go and see what's making that noise?" I asked Brayden. "Or do you want to get out of here? I can just call another Ranger to investigate if you don't want to."
    OOC: Sorry I took like a week x_x @ChainReaction01;
    Chainy quickly stopped me as I went to pull the money out of my pocket, saying, “I don’t think that’s going to be necessary. This Sunflora seems like it’s quite happy to stay where it is.” It looked like we hadn’t even disturbed the peaceful flower Pokémon, and I smiled. I nodded to my ranger, and we continued on our way, leaving the Sunflora to its own tranquillity among the variety of fauna in this forested environment. I left my money in my pocket, also glad that I didn’t have to purchase another PokeDoll. Even though they were fairly cheap compared to a lot of items that were sold nowadays, using them excessively would still take a nice chunk out of my savings; savings which could go towards buying TMs for my new Shroomish and Buneary.
    My ranger and I continued on down the path quietly, just enjoying the walk through the manmade habitat. The greenhouse was very well kept, but a lot of the plants were still allowed to grow reasonably free, and it looked like a naturally made forest. If forests had pot plants everywhere, that is. But it was refreshing to walk through this greenhouse, and feel like I was walking through a forest, instead of a greenhouse with some harmless and pretty flowers in it. The wild Pokémon that roamed the greenhouse helped too, creating a very stable environment, and I imagined that many of the Pokémon living here were happy.
    A large boom brought me to attention; it sounded like the noise originated from the far end of the greenhouse, and it sounded like something had broken. The whole greenhouse had started shaking, and numerous Pokémon started running around frantically, their panicked cries starting to fill the greenhouse. I heard a ceramic pot smash in the distance, and Chainy sighed. I could see he was annoyed, as these plants were probably fairly rare, and quite expensive. Not to mention the amount of effort that would have to be put in to get things back in order again if something big happened, which by the sounds of it, was happening now.
    There was a second large smash, and Chain asked me, “Do you want to go and see what’s making that noise?” I thought over it for a second, and Chain continued, giving me a second choice, “Or do you want to get out of here? I can just call another ranger to investigate if you don’t want to.”
    There were numerous reasons why I wanted to find out what was going on, and try to help, and I couldn’t really think of a reason not to. If it was a rampaging wild Pokémon, I wanted to help stop it now, instead of waiting for a ranger to arrive. On top of that, I might have a chance to catch it.
    “A little excitement never hurt anyone,” I said to Chainy, “so, let’s check it out. We may as well help since we’re here, and if I’m lucky, it might be something I can try to catch.”
    “A little excitement never hurt anyone, so... let’s check it out," Brayden replied. "We may as well help since we’re here, and if I’m lucky, it might be something I can try to catch.”
    "Yeah, it's always awesome when we get to solve two problems with one stone," I said with a grin.
    The ground shook again, and I heard another pot smash. I sighed and pulled out my PDA to send a quick text to whoever was on plant duty. Luckily I could walk and text at the same time, so with my other hand I opened a side door and slipped out with Brayden. It didn't really take us long to see the source of the noise. A smaller-than-normal Kangaskhan was stomping around, trying to step on a Pachirisu that was squeaking in fear and dodging the Normal-type's clumsy steps. I sighed - this wasn't anything new. This Kangaskhan had been trouble for us for a while now. It wanted to be on the top rung of the ladder, and it had decided that the best way to do that was to bully everyone else into submission. I didn't know what a Pachirisu was doing here, but that didn't matter - the Pokemon sometimes wandered from their home areas and that was fine with us.
    With a victorious squeak, the small squirrel escaped up into a tree. The Kangaskhan roared with outrage and started headbutting the tree, causing the leaves to shake and the limbs to quiver. The Pachirisu was hanging onto one of the higher limbs with both arms and legs, chattering in fear.
    "I don't suppose you want to battle this Kangaskhan?" I asked Brayden. "It's only young yet, and your Park Balls should be able to capture it."
    OOC: Weeeeeeeeee~ @ChainReaction01;
    My ranger just smiled at me cheekily, and said, “Yeah, it’s always awesome when we get to solve two problems with one stone.” The ranger looked at me knowingly, and I smiled back. I was enjoying my trip in the park so far, and if I was lucky, I was about to get the perfect opportunity to catch a rare Pokémon.
    The ground continued to shake and I could hear a Pokémon roaring in the distance. It sounded angry and it sounded like it was rampaging, as a lot of the larger wild Pokémon tended to do. More plants were sent toppling to the ground by the earthquakes, and Chainy sighed beside me. It was obvious that Pokémon rampaging like this was tiring to him, and in a monitored and closely controlled environment like this, it would be a massive inconvenience. I could feel his pain; when I was young, I kept a small garden at the back of my house. I took great pride in that garden, and there were a few small Pokémon that loved it too. There were the cutest pair of Poochyena pups that often spent a lot of the day playing with myself and a young Deerling that lived near my house; it was my own little piece of happiness, and whenever a larger Pokémon came trampling my garden, or eating all of my plants, it was the worst feeling for me. It took time to get my garden back to the way it was, and I assume it would be the same with this greenhouse.
    Chainy pulled out a small PDA, and started to tap rapidly on its screen. It looked like one of the newer models, and I was jealous. Maybe I should become a ranger, they would get all of the top-notch gear, I thought to myself. He continued tapping away absently as he quickly lead me out of a nearby side door. This all seemed fairly routine to him, as he put the PDA back into his pocket, and led me straight towards the cause of the nice, which quickly came into view. A small Kangaskhan was doing the typical rampage I had seen in too many wild Pokémon. It was stomping its feet heavily, shaking the ground with each stomp, despite being smaller than it probably should be. There was a small white and blue Pokémon scampering around its feet in a panic. I recognised it as a Pachirisu, a small Pokémon that resembled a grown Pichu. I could see the look on my ranger’s face, and he wasn’t impressed. I assumed that he had recognised this Pokémon, and he didn’t look happy about it at all.
    When I saw the bipedal Kangaroo-like Pokémon, something clicked inside me. It was an exciting and rare Pokémon that originated from the far off Kanto region. It was a powerful Normal type Pokémon, and it was a very motherly Pokémon, similiar to my very own Nidoqueen. It was also a Pokémon used by the trainer I had accepted as my rival, and although it didn’t affect me as much as Lopunny, it was still an awe-inspiring Pokémon for me. I instantly reached for the PokéBall on my belt, and pulled it off. The Kangaskhan had started to ram a tree, which the Pachirisu she was apparently chasing had escaped up into its bushy foliage.
    “I don’t suppose you want to battle this Kangaskhan?” Chainy asked me, in a very orderly voice. I knew that he wanted this Kangaskhan taken care of, so I couldn’t refuse. He continued on, “It’s only young yet, and your Park Balls should be able to catch it.” The adrenaline rushed to my head, and I bounched Lizzie’s PokéBall in my hand. The excitement was building inside of me, and I could tell that this would be a fun fight.
    I looked at Chain and smiled at him cheekily. “I would love to battle her, it would be my pleasure.” I gripped Lizzie’s PokéBall tightly, and then threw it in the air. “Come on out, Lizzie! We’ve got an interesting fight on our hands, and I know you’re going to love it!”
    The PokéBall burst open in mid-air, and a large reptilian Pokémon started to materialise in a flash of light in front of me. I recognised her as my trusted Nidoqueen, and she stood proudly in front of me. She immediately saw the Kangaskhan and roared, immediately drawing the attention of the Maternal Pokémon. My Nidoqueen had a long-standing rivalry with Kangaskhan, especially after her encounter with the one owned by my rival. Both of these Pokémon were very similiar in many ways – they were both very devoted mothers, they were similiar Pokémon of similiar builds, as well as similiar stats and movesets. I laughed heartily and called out to Lizzie, “I told you that you’d love it, didn’t I?” Lizzie roared again in response, braced herself for the battle ahead.
    “Alright, Lizzie, this will be a battle of endurance that I am sure you can win,” I called out to my Pokémon. “I know you’ve still a bit hurt from the battle with that tricky Buneary, but I’m sure you can pull through.” Lizzie roared confidently, and raised her arm as a sign of acknowledgement. “Let’s start this battle off with Tail Whip! And once you’ve managed to hit it successfully, I want you to attack it with a Fire Punch. If you can manage to Burn it, then all the better for us.” I know Tail Whip was a weak move often used by newer trainers, and more experienced trainers were often ridiculed for using a pathetic move like that. But this was going to be a long battle, and Tail Whip would lower the Kangaskhan’s Defence for us, and open it up to a lot of the Physical moves that my Nidoqueen was best at. Nidoqueen’s ability, Rivalry, would rile her up a lot in this fight, and give her more energy and drive.
    Lizzie buckled her knees, and without a second thought, she started charging in to attack the wild Kangaskhan, and I could have sworn that I saw a smug grin on her face.
    “I would love to battle her, it would be my pleasure. Come on out, Lizzie! We’ve got an interesting fight on our hands, and I know you’re going to love it!” Brayden cried out eagerly. He quickly pulled out a PokeBall and threw it towards the Nidoqueen, which was now headbutting the tree repeatedly in an attempt to shake the Pachirisu down. Brayden's PokeBall split open to reveal the now-familiar form of his Nidoqueen. Said Nidoqueen promptly roared, drawing attention away from the Pachirisu.
    “I told you that you’d love it, didn’t I?” Brayden asked. There was a delighted grin plastered across his face.
    Lizzie roared again, and this time the Kangaskhan roared back. It crashed its fists against its chest, and I noticed that this Kangaskhan didn't have a baby in its pouch. This confirmed that it was new to adulthood - Kangaskhan didn't have babies during their first year.
    “Alright, Lizzie, this will be a battle of endurance that I am sure you can win. I know you’ve still a bit hurt from the battle with that tricky Buneary, but I’m sure you can pull through. Let’s start this battle off with Tail Whip! And once you’ve managed to hit it successfully, I want you to attack it with a Fire Punch. If you can manage to burn it, then all the better for us,” Brayden ordered.
    Lizzie roared and turned around, shaking her tail in an obviously derogatory manner. I could almost hear Lizzie telling the Normal-type the she feared it just about as much as she would fear a Lillipup. The Kangaskhan started to get really angry. It thrashed around and stomped its feet in a fit of rage. It even started jumping up and down in one spot. Lizzie took advantage of the Kangaskhan's momentary lack of concetration by running forward and slugging the Normal-type with a solid punch to the shoulder. Just before contact, writhing flames ignited around the Nidoqueen's wrist, so there was a black scorch-mark on the Kangaskhan's bicep.
    The Wild Pokemon staggered backwards but didn't waste much time. It clapped its hands together, and a soft blue light began shining through the cracks in its fingers. It spread its hands apart in an almost conciliatory gesture, and a wave of light-blue coldness flew through the air. It struck Lizzie, wrapping around her and pushing her backwards. When the attack faded, I noticed that part of Lizzie's left arm had been crystallised. Certainly not an incapacitating wound, but it might make the battle a little more complicated for Brayden.
    Lizzie ran up to the enraged wild Pokemon, who was still focused on the poor Pachirisu in the tree. I knew she would cherish the chance to fight a powerful opponent, and the two were so similar in many ways. They were both very equivalent in terms of size and strength along with being very maternal creatures. Although it is officially dubbed the "Parent" Pokemon on all of the kid's Pokedexes, this particular Kangaskhan doesn't look to be living up to that title. This one looks to be too young to have children of it's own just yet, and it seems too annoyed at the young Pokemon in the tree. Pachirisu are notorious trouble makers, and I could imagine a situation where it's tried to steal some berries. Nevertheless, this Kangaskhan seems overly aggressive and yet to develop its own maternal instincts.
    My Nidoqueen partner couldn't have been more than ten metres away from the wild Kangaskhan before it stopped to stand its ground, and let out a deep, ground shaking roar. Her powerful voice resounding through my eardrums was enough to make me recoil, but it seemed to have a similar effect on the opposing Pokemon. The Kangaskhan shook its head groggily and turned to try and find the source of the deafening roar, to find Lizzie facing her down. Once the two had locked eyes, Lizzie managed a quick grin and spun around on her left foot. Planting her feet steadily, she stuck out her rear-end and started waggling her tail. She was teasing it in an attempt to make it lose focus, so that it would hopefully be a little easier to do damage to. The attack seemed to be working, as the Kangaskhan seemed to grow gradually more irritated at the fact that this newcomer would challenge her. She let out her own intense roar in response to Lizzie's disrespectful behaviour, and started jumping up and down on the spot. It looked like she was throwing a tantrum with her arms flailing in the air and the earth trembling from the crashing of its heavy feet.
    Lizzie was taken back, and admittedly I was too. I didn't know what to think of the unusual behaviour. We had battled Kangaskhan before, albeit not any wild ones, and had never seen this kind of angry behaviour. Lizzie had managed to compose herself quicker than I did, and before I could even try to think of what was happening she had charged in to engage the Kangaskhan. Getting up close and personal in her fights was her speciality, and I could see her pulling back her right fist as she ran. I remembered that I had commanded her to use a Fire Punch attack and tried to regain my own composure. I couldn't afford to lose focus against this Pokemon, which was something that had proven tricky for us in the past. Lizzie had reached her target and leant forward, twisting her body and putting her weight behind her now ignited fist as she drove it into the rampaging Pokemon's arm.
    The Kangaskhan stumbled back from the impact, but quickly regained its footing. It seemed bothered to be interrupted from its tantrum more than anything, and it glared angrily at Lizzie. It was breathing even heavier than before, and it looked tense. It gently shook its arm where Lizzie's attack had connected. It had left a faint scorch on its thick hide but it looked more annoyed than bothered by the attack. I started musing to myself in an attempt to figure out what was going on with this fight, "Perhaps, that was more than just a temper. It seems to be angrier, yet stronger, than it was before,"
    While I was thinking, I watched as the wild competitor brought its hands together, and started to make a few gestures with its hands. A faint blue light began to gather between its hands, and started forming into an attack that I recognised. It looked to be an Ice Beam attack, something that my Nidoqueen was also able to use despite the fact that it didn't match her type at all. Kangaskhan quickly built the light to fill its hands, and while taking a step forward, thrust its hands towards Lizzie. A sharp, jagged beam of light burst forth from its hands, chilling the air around it as it traveled. It collided with Lizzie and washed over her, pushing her back and crystallising into fragments of ice that covered her body. The Ground type Pokemon roared in pain as the super effective attack hit her, her body shivering from the sudden drop in temperature. As the light resided, her left arm was left frozen over. The upper half of her arm and bicep were wrapped in a coating of shimmering ice and the added weight made it hard to regain her balance and posture. I cried out with concern, "Lizzie, how're you doing?" She shot me a quick glance and nodded in approval. I knew she was struggling but she wouldn't show it. I knew that nothing would stop her desire to fight this match and overcome her enemy and I could see the fire in her eyes.
    I needed to think quickly about what to do now. Lizzie's strength was when she could get into close combat with her opponents, trading blows and trying to overpower them. With her arm half frozen stiff and weighing her down, then surely that had to be our first priority. There's no way she could overpower this young, energetic Kangaskhan when she would be off-balance and unable to move freely. How could she free herself from the ice? I quickly scanned the immediate surroundings to see if anything could help. Innumerable small shrubs, bushes, and other exotic flowers scattered in mostly ceramic pots through the rainforest biome in which the greenhouse provided. Large trees shot up to produce a canopy higher up within the greenhouse, unnaturally still with very little wind breaking through into the glass shelter. "Lizzie, we need to free your arm somehow, what do you think?" She paused for a moment and started gesturing towards the closest tree; the one still sheltering the electric rodent. It seemed pretty straight-forward what she wanted to do; try to smash the ice against the tree. I paused for a moment, watching out of the corner as my eye as the wild Kangaskhan prepared to attack. "Lizzie, we can't just smash it against the tree. These trees are pretty old and while they look strong, you do have a tendency to break things. We need to do our best to avoid damaging the flora, not using them to smash," I urged her as quick as I can. As a mainly Grass type Pokemon trainer, the value of preserving flora was very important to me. "We need to find another way."
    I let my eyes wander back to the Kangaskhan, who was shifting on its feet energetically. I noticed the slight burn on its arm and immediately remembered Lizzie's last attack. A Fire type attack, which should be capable of melting through ice. The Kangaskhan started moving towards my Pokemon and I needed to do something quickly. Stumbling over my words, I managed to spit out a command, "U-uh, channel your Fire Punch into your frozen arm, Lizzie! You need to deal with that ice." Lizzie's Fire Punch attacks usually only ignited her fist for the attack, and just like the familiar Ice Beam, Fire was not one of her naturally strong types either so channeling that much flame to reach up her arm proved difficult. But I'm relying on her desire to win this fight against her new rival to inspire her to dig deeper. Hopefully the flame would give her at least enough freedom to land the punch and get in close to her opposition again.
    Lizzie grunted in acknowledgement and started focusing on her arm, her fist quickly ignited in the now familar flame. The Kangaskhan looked like it was poised to attack and I had no idea what it was going to throw out. I knew that being a Normal type, its movepool was fairly expansive. More than enough to match the generous variety of moves my own Nidoqueen knew, at the very least. Lizzie noticed this move too and focused on her arm further. With the tender flame flickering slightly higher up her arm, tickling coyly at the base of the ice encasing her arm, it looked like the attack just might work. One more quick command should do the trick, "As soon as you can move your arm, attack! Use your Superpower! Get in close, grapple with it, and try to throw it to the ground!"
    Superpower was an interesting Fighting type move that allowed the large reptilian beast to utilize her considerable bulk and produce a huge amount of power to wrestle a Pokemon to the ground. It was an attack she needed to be careful with as the huge amount of power that it requires her to exert would tire her out very quickly. But more often than not, it was a move that allowed her to grab hold of other Pokemon and fling them over her head, if not at least throw them to the ground. I trusted her to be able to overpower the Pokemon before her, and get us closer to a potential victory.
    Unafraid of the hot-blooded Kangaskhan before her, Lizzie remained focused as she thrived on the thrill of this challenge. The flame around her fist grew and with an accompaniment of sharp cracks rattling through the greenhouse, the ice encasing her was overwhelmed by the heat and shattered to pieces. The young Parent Pokémon was also pumping with adrenaline from facing down Brayden’s formidable Nidoqueen, stomping its feet again and seemingly ignoring any pain from the limb Lizzie had struck with her Fire Punch. It was bursting with aggression, though it seemed to have somewhat dropped its guard in the heat of the moment. Lizzie widened her stance as she prepared to rush her foe.
    RANGER CHAINY!!,” harshly crackled in a man’s monotone voice through a beaten old megaphone, “YOU’RE NEEDED BACK AT THE RANGER CABIN IMMEDIATELY!
    The amplified calls echoed through the greenhouse rattling the large glass panes, and even in the middle of all this action everyone was startled enough to momentarily pause. Curious, Ranger Chainy stepped through the nearest door with the Trainer on his heels as the Wild Kangaskhan and Lizzie, still in battle stance, stared back towards them in a bit of stunned amazement, or maybe just stupefied by the sudden interruption. Outside Ranger Chainy and the Trainer Brayden glimpsed what could either be called a remarkable or comical sight; cresting a hill was another Ranger in full gear and a bearing full pack, furiously peddling a rusty though (loudly) functioning bike while a fully-grown Mr. Mime balanced riding on the handlebars. The Mr. Mime had one hand back on the handlebars while the other was holding up the old megaphone for the Ranger to exasperatedly shout through.
    Gasping for breath he called again through the megaphone, “RANGER CHAINY, ARE YOU THERE?!
    Ranger Chainy ran out to meet them as they coasted down the hill on the bike. The other Ranger was barely able to stop without tipping over as the two met at the bottom of the hill, and some words were exchanged between them beyond earshot of the Trainer. The Mr. Mime gracefully dismounted the handlebars, and the other Ranger wearily lifted himself from the old bike as he handed it over to Ranger Chainy, who began to labor it up the hill. Leaning on his Pokémon, the two newcomers approached the greenhouse and the waiting Trainer.
    “Sorry about that, I’m Bradley―” he began to explain just as he was interrupted by another ferocious roar from the rampaging Kangaskhan inside. “That sounds more important though, so let’s get back in eh?”
    The three rushed back into the greenhouse as the Kangaskhan lunged toward Lizzie, trying to use the confusion as an opportunity to land a Sucker Punch. However, Lizzie had maintained her battle stance not allowed her guard to drop once. As the Kangaskhan closed the distance and swung its fist towards Lizzie’s head she ducked, catching the outstretched arm as she wrapped around the Kangaskhan’s torso and arched backward with all her might. The Kangaskhan sailed over its target, locked tightly in Lizzie’s grip, and was mercilessly driven into the ground with all the force the Nidoqueen could muster. The Kangaskhan’s chest and previously injured arm took the brunt of the attack as they smashed into the ground, and the force rolled it away from Nidoqueen as she also suffered the blowback of the brutal exertion.
    Despite the severe damage the young hot-blooded Kangaskhan was quickly back on its feet, pounding its chest and again stomping away. Whipping itself into a frenzy and again boosting its power, this time the Pokémon flew into a full tantrum and started thrashing about as it rushed back towards Lizzie in a rampage.
    OOC: @LowlyHumanCub; I'm sorry it took so long, I haven't been very motivated lately.
    The battle had been going on for a quite considerable amount of time, and I noticed the sky being discoloured by hints of orange sneaking in from the setting sun. Lizzie had received her commands from me and was raring to get back into the action, with her disgruntled opponent looking about the same. She looked to be very tired, and was physically weakened. Her chest heaved as she took in deep breaths, her scaly hide was covered in myriad scratches and some discolouration on the lighter parts of her skin lead me to believe bruising. However, she was a remarkably stubborn and resilient Pokemon whom I knew thrived on these kinds of fights, and that feeling was belayed through a small grin that ran its way across her face. Meanwhile, the Pokemon across from her didn't seem to share that feeling. The Kangaskhan was grunting heavily in rage, and the mirthless expression on its face showed only its intent to end this fight against this reptillian creature that would deign to challenge its authority. It was, after all, busy terrorizing the young Pachirisu which had somehow angered it.
    Suddenly, the sharp cracking of an old megaphone could be heard in the distance, the words sounding strangely muffled. The greenhouse did have a megaphone system installed in case of emergencies, as did most of the National Park. However, the incoming messages didn't seem to be broadcast through this speaker system and must have been coming from outside. "Ranger Chainy! You're needed back at the cabin immediately!" A dull, slightly deep sounding voice called out. I was a little perplexed, the rangers seemed to have their own communication devices and I've seen them in action, and this course of alerting my ranger seemed ill-considered. Again, the voice rang out, "Ranger Chainy! Are you there?" By now, the attention of my ranger had been piqued as well, and he quickly darted out of the nearest greenhouse door. I quickly snapped my attention back to the battle and both Lizzie and its wild young opponent had been distracted by the voice. I figured that whatever was happening might warrant my attenion as well, and Lizzie knew what she had to do and could handle herself. She wasn't a Pokemon that always needed to be directed and could fight for herself if she needed to.
    I hastily dashed through the door as well to meet my trainer outside and identify the source of the commotion. I quickly scanned the surroundings and found the source of the noise, someone who appeared to be dressed in a ranger's uniform was speeding down a nearby hill on an old bicycle, with an unusual looking Pokemon perched precariously on the wicker basket hanging loosely from the handlebars. I quickly recognized it as a Mr. Mime, a humanoid Pokemon which had remarkable intelligence and could be mistaken for a clown or mime. It was balancing itself on the handlebars with one arm, while holding a rusted megaphone aloft for the ranger, presumably so he could keep the bicycle on course as it hurtled down the slope. The ranger tried to slow the bike down with the brakes as it got closer to the greenhouse, and almost lost control as it wobbled to a stop. The Pokemon resting on the handlebars lept off in a majestic manner unlike one might expect from its lanky stature. The ranger was panting heavily from the physical exertion, I couldn't imagine that an old bike like the one he had would be easy to ride.
    The newcomer stumbled off the bike and both of the rangers shared a quick nod and exchanged a few quiet words. I couldn't hear what was being said but the new ranger quickly gestured towards me partway through their conversation. Finally, Chainy turned and gave me a quick wave as he started begrudgingly hiking the old bicycle back up the previous slope. The new ranger approached me to introduce himself, "Sorry about that, I'm Bradley..." He started to extend his arm for a handshake as he was talking, but was cut off by a defeaning roar which reverberated through the glass panels of the greenhouse. The sound must have come from the Kangaskhan and it didn't sound very happy. Bradley looked away towards the commotion and gestured back towards the greenhouse, “That sounds more important though, so let’s get back in eh?” I nodded and started running back into the greenhouse with Bradley at my heels. Realising I hadn't actually introduced myself and ought to be polite despite the fact he probably knew all about me, I yelled back over my shoulder, "I'm Brayden by the way, thanks for coming along."
    We entered back into the greenhouse to observe the two battlers about to start fighting once more. The Kangaskhan let out a defeaning, rage filled roar as it charged towards Lizzie, who was still focusing the fire around her arm to free herself from the ice. The flames sprung to life and started to wear away at the frozen shell on her arm. Quite quickly, her arm had been freed as the ice melted away and slowly dripped to the ground, aiding in the process of extinguishing the roaring flames on her arm. Lizzie gave her arm a quick shake to help relieve herself of the dying embers, and gave a quick flex as she regained complete control of her arm. The Kangaskhan had taken advantage of this distraction and darted in to strike. While Lizzie was flexing, proud of her accomplishment, her opponent released a quick jab straight towards her gut. The outstretched arm connected directly with Lizzie's midsection and she ducked over in pain from the blow. I recognised this tactic as a Sucker Punch, a dirty move that Pokemon were able to employ to strike a quick blow in while their opponent was using a move as well to catch them off guard.
    Lizzie was able to recover quickly from the blow and instinctively wrapped her arms tightly around her opponent's. I could see her smirk as she widened her stance and planted her feet firmly into the ground. This was a great position for her to pull off her Superpower attack, and it was a better outcome than I could have hoped. This was her strongest Fighting type attack, and the nature of the move would hopefully allow for it to deal a significant amount of damage. The Nidoqueen grunted as she focused her effort into lifting the Kangaskhan off of the ground. Twisting her hips, she pulled the grasped arm upwards and over her back shoulder. As she did, she quickly shifted one of her arms to the chest of her opponent and started to lift the Kangaskhan slightly into the air. Bewildered, it started thrashing around in a feeble attempt to free itself from Lizzie's grasp to no avail. Lizzie roared as she took a step back and launched the Kangaskhan over her shoulder. The Kangaskhan was thrown out of her grasp and forcefully driven into the ground. The force of the attack drove Lizzie to her knee, and she looked physically exhausted. I knew the attack would weaken her and tire her out, but hopefully it would help to end this fight sooner.
    The Kangaskhan looked to be in a lot of pain and while the attack seemed to do a lot of damage, it also seemed to exacerbate its anger further. It was able to climb to its feet and proceeded to bellow with a new ferocity. Once again, it started to jump around and work itself further into a frenzy. Lizzie acknowledged her opponent's outburst and pushed herself back to her feet. Although she looked drained, her stance was still firm and I knew she wouldn't let up in this fight. Her opponent looked absolutely furious now, although I can't say I could blame it after being on the receiving end of that last attack. The adrenaline rushing through its body seemed to help it ignore the pain though, and only fuelled its temper.
    Lizzie let out a challenging roar towards its opponent, which caused an explosion of fury from the Kangaskhan as it started to charge wildly. I needed to think quickly about what to do; while the Kangaskhan was ignoring its pain it surely had to have taken a lot of damage and any further damage would be detrimental to its health. Not only that, Lizzie was starting to tire and I knew the exertion from the last attack would be taking its toll. This battle can't carry on much longer without being dangerous to the health of both of the battlers, and I needed to end it. I just need to buy enough time to catch it. I knew the perfect move to just buy me enough time. "Quickly Lizzie, I need you to put down a Substitute to distract it and get out of the way!" I commanded to my loyal partner. A few extra seconds was all I needed to find the Park Balls as I rummaged hastily through my pack. I noticed out of the corner of my eye as Lizzie brought her arms together to form a sharp, white light. With a sudden flash, a lifelike imitation of the Nidoqueen stood in-front of her which would hopefully be enough to distract the Kangaskhan. I found the cold, round object I was looking for, snatched it out of my bag and hurled it with as much force as I could towards the Kangaskhan. Now I could only hope and wait.
    Aleria was happy. With all of the new recruits the park had gained, she was able to take even more time off for her vacation. Nothing could make her happier.
    She had been relaxing on a beach when her phone went off. It was one of the new rangers. With a sigh, she answered it. "Yo," she said.
    "Can you take my run for me?" he asked. "Something came up, and I have to go."
    She sighed again. "Can't you ask anyone else?"
    "Everyone else is busy," he replied. Of course they were. There had been such a backlog that even the new rangers were going to be overworked for a while. She wasn't even surprised to hear that.
    "I guess," she replied with a third sigh. "Send me the information."
    "Thanks!" he said before hanging up.
    She slipped her phone in a small pocket in her bag that she could easily grab. While she waited for the information she needed, she released her Charizard from her ball and packed her things. That didn't take long, and she just finished putting on a strapless dress to cover her bathing suit when her phone started beeping again. That was the email from the new ranger whose name Aleria couldn't even really remember at the moment. Her destination was the Botanical Gardens.
    With her bag on her shoulders, she got on Charizard's back. "To the Botanical Gardens we go!"
    It was about half an hour before she spotted the greenhouse her trainer was battling a Kangaskhan in. She returned Charizard to her Poke Ball. Two big Pokemon in a greenhouse, especially with one being a Fire type with a flame on her tail, probably wasn't the best idea. They didn't want to burn the greenhouse down.
    She slipped into the greenhouse and traded places with the ranger that was already there. By the time she got in the room, she saw a flash of light and a Nidoqueen doll that had distracted the Kangaskhan. The kangaroo-like Pokemon was rushing towards the doll, but the two would never come into contact as the trainer threw a ball and Kangaskhan was trapped inside of it.
    The ball shook... then shook again... and a third time...
    But a flash of white light signaled the Kangaskhan releasing herself from the ball. She knocked the ball away and into some plants with her tail. Aleria shook her head. "Looks like you'll have to retrieve that ball," Aleria said as she watched the kangaroo-like Pokemon pick up the doll and examine it. "I'm Aleria, by the way. The other ranger had something to deal with, so I'm going to fill in for him."
    @Mistral;
    The Parkball arced gracefully through the air and stopped the charging Kangaskhan in its tracks, as it was sucked inside with an iconic flash of bright light. The ball landed gently on the ground and started wiggling furiously as the Kangaskhan tried to break free. I anxiously counted the shakes as I waited for it to settle, but after the third it broke free. I watched in disappointment as the large form of the mammal reappeared out of the Parkball, indicating its freedom. What's worse was that my attempt to capture it seemed to only piss it off more. It let out a huge roar, shaking some of the glass panes of the greenhouse and sending some smaller Pokemon in the distance scurrying. Noticing the ball now laying on the ground, it twisted its lithe body and brought its tail around to connect with the ball, sending it flying into some nearby bushes. I couldn't see exactly where it went, but I didn't want to waste time searching through the shrubbery to find it. I had one more of the capture devices left in my bag, and I needed to make it count.
    "Looks like you'll need to retrieve that ball," An unknown voice mused behind me. I spun around in surpise and a new ranger was standing behind me, curiously watching the events unfolding. She must have snuck up while I wasn't paying attention, and wasn't wearing a Ranger's uniform, so just who was she? I wasn't wondering long as she must've caught my confused expression and began to introduce herself, "I'm Aleria, by the way. The other ranger had something to deal with, so I'm going to fill in for him." She didn't look particularly pleased to be here, but in an attempt to be polite I introduced myself back regardless, "Brayden, and the Nidoqueen is Lizzie."
    I turned my attention back to the Kangaskhan whom looked like it was starting to wear out, although it could probably stand to be weaker. Perhaps that was my own error at being too hasty to try and capture this creature, but Lizzie was tiring quickly and the fight did need to end. But presently, the Kangaskhan looked distracted and quite confused at the lifelike doll of my Nidoqueen standing in front of it. This was good, hopefully it could buy me some time to think. I knew it couldn't have had much health left from taking the Superpower from the strong reptilian, and I needed to be careful to avoid knocking it out. Lizzie did know a variety of special moves, and I could probably try and have her fire off something like a Thunderbolt which would be pretty weak. I'm not sure she would agree to that though, she'd probably rather getting in there and finishing things off herself.
    "Lizzie, what do you say to finishing right here and now?" I called out. She was panting from exhaustion and covered in bruises, but hopefully she still had the willpower to get this done. She grunted and gave me a nod to signify that she was ready to go. "Alright then, let's get in there and hit it with a Poison Fang! Remember, I need you to try and avoid knocking it out. We've got to catch this Kangaskhan." Lizzie nodded again and started to run up to her opponent.
    I could see a purple sludge dripping from the sides of Lizzie's mouth as she ran, an indicator that she had brought up a load of bile and was going to use that to her advantage with her bite. The deadly substance in her mouth was also generally toxic to creatures that didn't share an affinity with the poison type, and there was a very good chance that it would get into the Kangaskhan's system and weaken it further. I really needed to do everything I can to make this Kangaskhan weak with it's temper flying the way it was. Lizzie's opponent was still distracted by the lifelike doll of herself she had created with the Substitute, and hopefully it would buy just enough time for Lizzie to get close without a reaction.
    I pulled my bag off my shoulder and started digging through it looking for another one of the Park's unique Pokeballs to throw at my quarry. Cursing myself for not keeping my bag more organised, I noticed in my peripheral vision as Lizzie got closer to her target, and it started to notice her back. Moving spare clothes, potions, and a strange smelling herb in an airtight packet out of the way, I found the object at the bottom of the bag and pulled it out. Just like the previous, the cold, spherical ball looked like any other Pokeball, but with some green and brown colouration on the top. This was my last Parkball, and if this didn't catch it then under the circumstance the Kangaskhan didn't leave, I would probably have to go fishing through the gardens to find my first ball. The rangers never carried supplies to sell mid-run, so if I couldn't find my first ball then I would probably have to give up, something that didn't appeal to me. Grasping the ball firmly in my hands, I brought my attention back to the two Pokemon as they were about to collide. I had to wait for Lizzie to land her attack first, and hoping it doesn't get knocked out, I would be able to throw my Parkball again.
    Aleria nodded when the trainer introduced himself and his Nidoqueen. She didn't want to say too much; both were pretty focused on the battle.
    The plan was to end the battle, and after the first failed capture attempt, they were going to weaken the Kangaskhan a little more to try and capture it. Nidoqueen had to exercise caution though. One wrong move, and the Kangaskhan could faint. If she did, Brayden wouldn't be able to capture it and all of their hard work would go to waste.
    Purple sludge dripped from the Nidoqueen's mouth as she rushed towards the Kangaskhan. The kangaroo-like Pokemon hadn't even really noticed until she looked up. She sniffed the air and realized the doll she was holding was not the real Nidoqueen. Kangaskhan turned to face her true opponent, but Nidoqueen's poison laced fangs sank into Kangaskhan's flesh, causing the kangaroo to cry out in pain. Kangaskhan started to punch Nidoqueen to try and get the Poison and Ground type to let go. Nidoqueen winced from the pain, and she was starting to let up.
    When she did finally stumble back, Kangaskhan was hit with another Park Ball.
    The ball followed the same actions it did the first time, shaking three times. Instead of Kangaskhan breaking free again, the ball clicked shut. Aleria smiled, stepping up to get the ball to put it in her bag. "At least you'll be able to get the other ball without having to worry about a Kangaskhan trying to beat you up," she said with a bit of a chuckle.
