    @Synthesis;

Today was just like any other day when it was getting started. I was just sitting here, minding my own business, enjoying a nice bacon, and egg bagel sandwich, and a cup of coffee. But hey when you're a ranger you never know when exactly you'll be asked to take a job. Right now a prime example of that, since I had been asked to take a trainer through the park again. Hey that was fine with me since I had just finished taking someone through the park. It was always good to have work, so that way I had something to do.

"Okay Gardevoir, I think you know the drill by this point," I said to my Gardevoir.

So then, we're already back to work again? That was certainly quick.

"Yeah, well hey, someone has to lead these trainers through the park so that they may encounter, and catch some new Pokemon."

True, it's just that we have been working a lot lately.

"Yes we have, but think of those sweet ranger wages we'll get. You know money is always good to have."

Can't argue there. So who are we taking this time?

"I don't know, I'll check when we get outside."

We got outside, and so I decided to take a seat on the bench that I made sure to have placed here so that way rangers had somewhere to sit while they waited for their trainer to show up. I pulled out the individuals information, and it ended up being Jay, the person who I had ironically just finished taking through The Botanic Gardens. This time around though he was heading to Meteor Valley, and based on what I could tell by his team, and the items he had he was clearly searching for any Flying-type Pokemon that lived there. He was a smart man since the Flying-type was the greatest type out there. With that out of the way I put his info into the bag I brought with emergency items, and waited for him to show up.

    @Ebail ;

I had a feeling that today was going to be a good day as I arrived at the Park again. I had only just left a few days ago, but I was already eager to go back. This time I was going to be heading to the Meteor Valley area, somewhere I hadn't been in a long time. I was looking for a few Pokemon in particular this time around. I was planning on applying for the newly opened Gym in Hoenn, Fortree, but I needed some new Pokemon first and foremst.

I saw a man I easily recognised sitting ona a bench just b the outpost within a minute or two. It was the same Ranger that had taken me through numerous time in the past. Most notably the last run I went on. I gave him a quick salute as I swung my bag around. I whipped out a Pokeplayer after a little introduction and inserted a Murkrow Voice Disc. Hopefully I could encounter one of these badass Pokemon this time around, or at least something that would work well in a Flying type Gym.

Jay showed up after a few minutes of me waiting, and gave a quick salute. There really wasn't any need for words here since we had only just seen each other very recently. Before I even had a chance to ask him if wanted to play a Voice Disc or anything, he quickly pulled out his Pokeplayer, and a Voice Disc which I soon found out to be a Murkrow one when he hit play. I didn't have a clue if it would work or not, but he did bring along three discs with him for Pokemon here, so he did end up having fifteen chances at a Pokemon he was intending to capture. Not to mention the possibility of something else he might be interested in coming his way.

We got into Meteor Valley, and I gotta say the way it looked it kind of reminded me of The Botanic Gardens, only with less plant life. But I mean it was a green grassy field, and had two hills as well some trees. It kind of reminded me of the plains, which made sense since I remember seeing that a lot of Psychic, Dark, and Ghost types like the open area like that. It was weird though because you would think that they preferred to be in a cave or something. But hey I wasn't gonna question where Pokemon enjoyed to call their home. We walked for a few minutes before I already noticed a Pokemon just sort of floating there.

This was certainly an interesting looking Pokemon to say the least. It was just a letter essentially. A black colored letter, with a single eye. It was unique, because it was one of a series of twenty-eight of the same Pokemon, who were all different in their appearance because they either resembled one of the letters of the alphabet, a question mark, or an exclamation point. This was because these Pokemon were a group of messengers, tied to ancient history, and in some cases even tied to Legendary Pokemon. They were a strange group to see in general, and not to mention very weak too, but I had to ask Jay if he wanted this anyway.

"Do you happen to want an Unown? Their only known move is Hidden Power, so it wouldn't be all that hard to battle."

As soon as we passed by the gates, we entered a vast open field. Not gonna lie, that kind of caught me off gaurd. Wide meadowy fields were not what you expect when you think of the more evil-looking Pokemon like Gengar and Zoroark. But, it was a good location to have an entrance to lure in tourists. I'm sure most visitors would stay longer seeing the lovely fields where Pokemon could be seen from miles away.

Soon, a black hovering Pokemon appeared, almost out of nowhere. It was an Unown, something I wasn't very interested in.

"I'm going to try and escape, but I'm penniless right now. If we can't escape we'll be forced to attack it, which I don't really want to do unnecessarily," Jay said, upon seeing this Unown. Couldn't really blame him, seeing as how they weren't all that powerful, or rare. And it sucked that he didn't have enough to afford a Pokedoll at the second, or at least that he didn't have any money knew of, since he couldn't just magically make money appear later if he needed a doll. But if that was the case it would be better that he didn't find money for a doll right now since this thing was at least weak, and could easily be dealt with if he did need to battle with it.

I turned to him, and nodded. With that I attempted to lead him around the Psychic-type, though I thought that was odd since Unown seemed more like a Dark-type to me, but eh that wasn't in my hands. It didn't make any sudden movements towards us, but it did keep its eye on Gardevoir. Perhaps because both were Psychic-types. I wasn't sure, but I was sure that I was glad to be getting away from a freaky floating "T". I haven't seen anything like that since I saw a floating shopping list, but this wasn't the time to reminisce on the antics of a sponge.

We continued to walk along like we had done before, though this time we managed to get by without anything cutting us off. I had to figure that any Flying-types might be hanging around by some of the trees, so I started to lead Jay over to the hill on the right, so we could go down it, and see if anything was hanging around down there that he might want, or if his Voice Disc might work, since he continued to play his Murkrow one. Before we really get anywhere down there though a Pokemon actually bounced its way up to us.

It was a gray-colored, pig like Pokemon that kind of reminded me of a slinky if you remember those things. It had stubby little arms, and small dark eyes. Not to mention its gray snout, and its most interesting feature was the one on top of its head. It was apparently a pearl that was produced by a Clampearl that it wore on top of its head. This was used to amplify its psychic powers, and so as such when it lost the pearl its powers would begin to decrease. Of course this wasn't its only interesting feature. I had once been told that a Spoink needed to keep bouncing, because that was how it kept its heart beating, but if it was prevented from doing this...well you know the rest.

After a brief square off between Gardevoir and Unown, we managed to slip by the odd floating symbol without any bother. We began to roll along, heading towards an area that would have a lot of trees and bushes, which tended to attract Flying type Pokemon. Murkrow was one we wanted in particular, but there are others I wouldn't mind either.

By the time we got to an area with lightly scattered trees, an ugly grey Pokemon with a bright pink orb on its head bounced towards us. I stared at the hideous creature that was Spoink. Its face scared the crap out f me being this close to it, and I wanted to get out asap.

"Let's try and get away from that creature," I said with a shudder. The disgusting thing was staring at me with a tilted head and gapped tooth smile. "I have 11,000 if I need to use it for a Pokedoll."

"Let's try and get away from that creature. I have 11,000 if I need to use it for a Pokedoll," Jay said, shuddering at this creature. He obviously wasn't too fond of its looks. Couldn't really blame him, since it wasn't much to look at. Though at least he had money now if he needed a doll. Though I had to wonder if he did find some money on his person, or if someone transferred some into his bank account, and he was going to write a check. Wait, were we allowed to accept checks for items here? Oh well, I'll find out later on, for now I figured I'd try to get him around the Spoink.

We tried to get around it, but since we were still on this hill, the Spoink just kept bouncing at us. The way out of this now was to hand it a Pokedoll. I got the needed money from Jay, and reached into my bag until I found one of the standard Clefariy Pokedolls. I then threw it at the Spoink, who bounced it off of its head, and just continued to hop on its way, bouncing the doll as it went along. "Well that was different. Let's keep going."

I continued to lead Jay down this hill, hoping that maybe we could sooner or later find a Pokemon he actually wanted. We got down to the bottom of the hill, and so I kept my eyes pealed to see if any Murkrow might show up since Jay still had that Voice Disc playing. I looked around to see if there was anything in the area, and there didn't appear to be. That is until something managed to teleport before us.

It was a small yellow Pokemon, that somewhat seemed to resemble a fox. It looked like it was wearing armor, or maybe just shoulder protectors. It's eyes appeared to always remain shut, and it primarily relied on its psychic powers to get itself out of trouble by teleporting away. It wasn't the toughest thing in the world, so it would tend to run away more times than not, but once you evolved it all the way though it was an incredibly deadly threat.

Somehow, some way in some universe, I realised I actually had money on me. And quite a lot of it too. Enough to make me wonder why I was searching for Pokemon in the National Park when I could just hire an army of thugs to come in and steal all the Pokemon. Who cares if the staff are helpful and things, I could be rich. Buahaha. Enough for now though. I would nee to hire thugs and prepare my plans. Yes. It will be magnificent when the dayarises. But for now, I had to pay the nice Ranger so I could buy a Pokedoll and hopefully flee from this ugly excuse for a Pokemon.

One thing was for certain though: when I come back to steal all the Pokemon and enslave mankind, I will not be taking any Spoink. In fact, they shall be burnef alive in a giant furnace or something. Eh, I'm sure I'll come up with something to exterminate them.

We gave the irritating bouncing Psychic type the Pokedoll. It seemed relatively pleased, which didn't affect me in the slightest. It bounced away with the Clefairy doll, maintaining that stupid derpy smile. Stupid noob Pokemon...

"Well that was different. Let's keep going."

I nodded as we continued on. The hill seemed to gradually get steeper as we walked down, but it still managed to stay luscious and grass-coated. We were both scanning the fields for Pokemon, but there didn't appear to be a single one in sight. I tried to keep one eye on the field and one eye above and in the sky. If there were any Murkrow flying above or perched on the grass even, they'd stand out like a sore thumb. Now that I think about it, that's really an unusual expression. How do sore thumbs stand out anyway?

I was distracted from my unusual musings when a little yellow humanoid Pokemon appeared. It was clad in brown body armour and its eyes appeared to be permanent slits, which would be very hard to see out of. Perhaps Abra used its telekinetic powers to see around. Maybe it could see other Pokemon's aura or something.

"Do you happened to want an Abra?" Gary asked.

I didn't have to think about it too much because I did quite want one of these, despite being gifted one when the next Gift Station was over by a friend of mine known as Mubz.

"Yeah. I think I'll try battle it. Jolteon, come on out!" I shouted. Flicking my wrist and sending a regular-sized Pokeball flicking through the air. The spinning ball burst open and a beam of light shot out and a silhouette of a dog appeared. When his features became clear, a spikey yellow dog-like Pokemon.

"Jolteon, use a Discharge on the Abra please."

Its cheeks began to flush with electricity and his eyes turned from their usual jet black, to a bright blue colour. His face took on and an almost-flushed look as blue sparks began to bounce off of it. Discharge relied on the Pokemon sending a wave of cackling electricity at the opponent, but it had a much higher chance to paralyse. I didnmt want to go into too much detail about it, but the electricity generated was more "sparky" than usual because of the abundence of negatively-charged electrons trying to find a compatible source and form a full outer shell. It was quite powerful because of the sheer concentration of the electrons per centimeter squared of air. That was the very basics of it anyway.

    @Synthesis; Gender?

Jay stared at Abra for a few moments, but it didn't take very long at all for him to make up his mind here. "Yeah. I think I'll try battle it. Jolteon, come on out!" he said, as he sent out his Jolteon. I guess that it wasn't too surprising to see him use his Jolteon instead of his Gengar, since the Ghost-type could have very well been too much for the Abra to handle, and end up sending it into next week. Didn't want that, now did he?

"Jolteon, use a Discharge on the Abra please," Jay commanded. Jay needed to be careful with what he went about doing here. I mean Discharge had a mildly decent chance of causing paralysis, and well if Abra ended up having the Synchronize ability then it would pass on any status is had onto its foe. There really was no way of testing what ability a Pokemon had without doing something to try and trigger it, but that would be just a little crazy. If anything it would just be for the best for Jay to go with whatever his gut would tell him to do.

Jolteon started to charge up its body as a glow started to emit from it. It was charging up all of its power into a wave of energy that would hit anything remotely close to it. With that in mind, I knew it was best to take a few steps back, just to make sure I was at a safe distance. Jolteon then released the powerful surge of electricity from its body, which forcefully fired out all over. It was a reckless sort of attack to say the least, but it was also likely to catch you off-guard, and strike you from any direction since it wildly attacked. It was a good way of dealing with a move such as Double Team. Abra did what it could with its powers to try to keep teleporting out of the way, but it wasn't able to run forever. Eventually a bit of energy came up from behind the Psychic-type, and struck it in the back, causing it to fall to the ground. It didn't take a whole lot of effort for it to get back up though, meaning that only a small bit of it was actually hurt.

Abra dusted itself off, and then stuck its two hands forward, aiming at Jolteon's legs. An aura started to form in front of Abra, in a matter of moments, unbeknownst to Jolteon, bits of grass began to rise up, and tie around its legs. Once Abra had all four tied it pulled them forward, towards it, so that in turn it would cause Jolteon to fall flat on its face. Abra had used Grass Knot, a move that does damage to heavier Pokemon, since they would come crashing down like that their own weight was used against them. It didn't do a whole lot to Jolteon, since he wasn't that big of a Pokemon, but it was still kind of humiliating to have happen.

The bolts of electricity shot out wildly and erratically as soon as Joltein had fired off the attack, after my command of course. I took a large step back to try and remove myself from any potential danger and I saw that Gary and his Gardevoir did likewise. Although there wasn't really any danger as this particular Jolteon had a very long history with me and I would definitely like to consider him very house-trained. Well, as good as one could really be. I have seen some rabid and crazed Jolteon in my time.

One certain event in which I encountered a very aggressive young Jolteon was when I was visiting the Power Plant on the far end of the island of the National Park. This particular one was going crazy and shooting out uncontrollable amounts of highly-powered electricity. We had to end up leaving early because of this very unusual disturbance, but it was something I'd never forget because the National Park usually had much more tame and controllable Pokemon that they have roaming the wide plains and interacting with the visitors, Trainers and Rangers who so often frequent it.

A few weeks later, I decided to go back and try and find this Jolteon and check out what had really happened, and what had happened to this Jolteon after. I was informed by my Ranger that the crazy Electric fox Pokemon had gotten a rather large spike embedded right into one of its paws, presumably dropped by one of the new frequenters to that area, Skarmory.

Skarmory and so many other Pokemon that would have usually lived in the Outer Heavens region had to be evacuated and moved to other areas of the National Park, or some of the bigger and stronger ones migrated to distant regions during the cold Winter months. There was a sudden landslide, brought on by some construction work. This then triggered even more landslides and avalanches and it was deemed unsafe for anyone to go and visit or for Pokemon to live there. Well, that was one theory anyway. There were a lot of theories involving what actually happened. The Elite Rangers were awfully quite about it and I even heard rumours of a Uranium leak and serious radiation.

But that couldn't possible be true... Right!?

I heard a grunt as the Abra, who ha previously been teleporting here and there trying to avoid the attack, had been struck by one stray bolt of not-so-much-charged electricity. It was knocked over, but managed to lift itself up into a standing position, without using its arms or legs. I was a little creeped out by the odd Matrix manouveur that the Abra had pulled off, but I was still secretly impressed. Even more so when it created a pulse of Grass type energy that aimed to trip Jolteon up. It wasn't very effective though, mainly because of Jolteon's high natural Special-oriented bulk and how it was so light and agile.

"Alright, Jolty," I called him, engaging in battle mode. "Let's try smack this oddly-human Pokemon with a Signal Beam, and then try and knock him into a dazed state with Quick Attack and Thunder Wave it."

The way I figured was that Abra would surely be somewhat dizzy or confused by the bright intertwining lights of Signal Beam and then it wouldn't see the speed of Jolteon's Quick Attack. What I really was banking on was Jolteon's speed coming in handy here and him using the distraction of the Signal Beam to get paralysis off on this pesky Abra.

Jay seemed to think of something for a few moments. I had no idea what he was thinking of exactly, but if I had to guess I would probably think he was thinking of what move, or moves he should have Jolteon do next. It did have a nicely varied movepool, and plenty of those moves were powerful. I just hoped that Abra would be able to take a hit.

"Alright, Jolty, let's try smack this oddly-human Pokemon with a Signal Beam, and then try and knock him into a dazed state with Quick Attack and Thunder Wave it," Jay commanded. Interesting choice of moves here. Jay wanted to inflict a status quickly it seemed, and if it did work we would also be able to find out if Abra had the Synchronize ability or not. This clearly wasn't his only aim though, as he was also intending to weaken Abra some more here, which was smart because you couldn't catch a Pokemon if it had too much health left.

Jolteon looked back, and nodded. It then turned its attention back towards its foe, took in a small breath, and then released a weird beam of light, which seemed to be pink, purple, and blue in color. Signal Beam was a Bug-type move, which had a slight chance of confusing the foe. It was a good choice for a move here due to Abra being weak to the Bug-type, and well since it hadn't really sustained any true damage just yet, this very well could put somewhat of a dent in it. Jolteon fired the beam right at Abra, and this time the Psychic-type wasn't so quick to teleport away. Although it only took a little damage, it must have still been somewhat shaken from that Discharge. Because of this the beam hit it dead on, and knocked it back a few feet into the ground.

As it was getting back up, Jolteon took this as its chance to strike again, and finish up its combo. It kicked away at the ground, and started to race around, gaining some speed to throw the Abra off, before it eventually made its way over to the Psychic-type, and slammed its body into it, once again knocking the creature a few feet away, only this time with a more evil intention in mind. It opened up its mouth where a small blue ball of energy had already formed. Jolteon then fired off the ball at its foe, and when it reach there it exploded, releasing the contained electricity at Abra, hitting it in the process. The good news for Jay was that Abra had become paralyzed, but it didn't slip over into his Jolteon also, meaning that it didn't have Synchronize. Of course Abra was far from happy about this.

It got back to its feet, and despite now being paralyzed it still appeared to be highly determined. It put its hands together, and started to form a dark purple ball of energy. Its hands would begin moving further away as the ball expanded, which would then let you see that it actually looked more like a blob. Abra then sent the attack flying at Jolteon. This was Shadow Ball, a Ghost-type move that had a chance of dropping the Pokemon who it hits Special Defense. Jolteon tried to avoid the attack, but it was actually coming after him rather fast, and so it managed to get a shot in against the upper left leg as it tried to avoid. This didn't cause any groundbreaking damage though, as it was just shaken off, but it did show that this was one tough Abra.

Jolteon burst forward with a huge jet of speed, opening his mouth as he ran, almost like he was about to roar or something. There was a bright flash of white - or maybe that was just me, before bright lights of pink, purple and blue shooting out. The coloured rays of light cascaded around each other, creating mystifying designs and patterns that was beginning to even confuse me a little bit, never mind the foe. The bright annoying beam of light, that I was starting to regret a little bit by now, managed to smack into Abra, knocking it down a little. The Abra got up as soon as the colours began to fade and it looked relatively unscathed. That, and the fact that the lights weren't very bright or didn't last very long lead me to believe that myself and Jolteon needed to do a lot more work when it came to that move. I made a mental note of it, hopefully I would be able to remember it later on, before we were in a serious battle where it would be very important to know.

However, that wasn't it at all from Jolteon. In no more tha s econd, it was back up again, running around Abra in circle after circle, scattering dust up into the air. This didn't really benefit us much right now, but it could be a handy thing to try and pull off somthing in the future by scattering dry dust up into the air to momentarily blind the opponent and create a diversion. Jolteon ripped his jaw open once more and fired off another ball of electricity. This sphere soared through the air and smacked Abra in the chest, sending paralysis shooting throughout its whole body.

"Yes," I said. "This has been quite a good turn of events, Jolteon. That Abra looks paralysed for sure and now it will definitely be so much more easy to deal wit-" I was cut across as a black shadowy ball shot past my face.

The attack looked like a rather weak Shadow ball as it shot by and crashed into Jolteon's side. Jolteon seemed to be limping a little afterwards, but I knew he was still able to battle.

"Try and hurt it with a powerful Bite from your strong jaw, Jolt."

It was a long while since I'd seen my very own Jolteon use this particular move, as a matter of fact. Bite itself wasn't exactly a very powerful move really. If my memory was serving me correctly on this fine day, it only had a base power of around 55 or 60, which wasn't very good at all. Well, it would actually be quite a strong dark type move if the Pokemon using it happened to have Technician, which as just about every person knows boosts moves with 60 base power or lower by one and a half times what it would normally do. This would mean that Bite would have a base power of near enough to 90, which is much stronger than the other Dark physical moves like Sucker Punch, Crunch, Thief and Night Slash to name a few.

Anyway, this pointless little ramble shouldn't be distracted now should it! I mean that in itself would be even more stupid and pointless really. Then hey, I could get infracted by a Moderator for creating a Pointless Post. Aha. I'm so funny.

Annnyway. This time I really will ramble about a time my Jolteon used bite. It was a pretty foggy day, if I recall correctlu. No wait, it was night time. And it was during a Gym battle of some sort. Yeah, that doesn't sound made up at all... Actually, it was during my very own Gym battle now that I think about it. It was a hell of a long time ago and I was facing some mysterious user who decided to cover his face with a mask, similar to that of the one the Phantom of the Opera wears. He was using a Gyarados, which is a very very odd choice to use against an Electric Gym, but trust me on this one, I wasn't complaining.

The Gyarados in particular was proving to be quite troublesome though. My Jolteon was my last Pokemon against his Gardevoir that was left at such a small amount of health that I knew even a Quick Attack would knock it clean out, and this particular Gyarados that was facing me right then. It was at full health against my Jolteon who was also at full health. Jolteon had been imprisoned and all of his Electric type moves were not able to be used, except for the very weak and unreliable Thundershock. This might not seem like too bad of a situation, except for the small fact that Thundershock would actually one hit knock out this Gyarados - that much I knew not to be true, which is quite a surprising turn of events, from so many previous battles. However, I still had one small option left. The sliver of hope appeared in the form of the particular weak dark type move I had talked about earlier.

I know what you're thinking; "lol why you such a noob!" but it actually had a slight chance to flinch the opponent, meaning they would not be able to move on that turn. You see, all that gyarados had to do to ensure a win was to Dragon Dance once and finish Jolteon with a very powerful boosted earthquake, or it could just Earthquake twice and destroy my beautiful arena. Anyway, I commanded Bite and it didn't flinch, but I learned a very valuable lesson: Gardevoir is such an annoying Pokemon to face.

Jay seemed to be pretty happy with how the Thunder Wave hit, since Abra was now paralyzed, but at the same time he was also a little too careless, believing that Abra would be much easier to deal with now. That quickly proved to be wrong, since he saw the attack the Psychic-type had fired off. Sure it wasn't the most powerful thing, and it didn't do a ton of damage, but still you never know what it could possibly pull out of its back of tricks, so Jay would need to be on his guard.

"Try and hurt it with a powerful Bite from your strong jaw, Jolt," Jay commanded. Not much to this here, and nothing fancy. Just your simple one attack command. I could respect that, I mean there was no need to over complicate things against a foe who couldn't exactly take that many hits. It showed Jay was using his mind before doing any sort of attack.

Bite was basically just how it sounded. It was a Dark-type move, that had, well I guess you could say medium damage power. The user would charge over to the foe, and bite down on any part of their body. It could be the arm, or the leg, something as painful as the head, or even comically, such as the rump. As you could probably figure getting bitten down on can be rather painful, and so there is a chance that this move would make the Pokemon it hit flinch, and therefore not move this time around. Wasn't sure if that would happen with Abra though, since one of its abilities could be Inner Focus, something that prevents flinching, but hey you never know what it had until something happened. I think it not passing on its paralysis proved this.

Jolteon charged over at Abra, who was a little slow to be responsive, due to having its speed be dropped so much. It opened up its mouth as it got close, hopped in the air, and stuck its teeth right into Abra's right shoulder. The little Psychic-type yelled out in pain, over having its shoulder bitten, but it didn't appear to have its determination shattered. At least not just yet anyway. This also meant that it didn't end up flinching as a result of the Bite attack.

It used its energy to put its two hands together, and form another ball of energy just like the Shadow Ball. At this time though it seemed to be sucking up energy from the grass below the creature, as well as the trees that were around. In turn this caused the ball to be green in color, with some spots of white or golden on the inside. It was Energy Ball, basically the Grass-type equivalent of Shadow Ball, since both were as powerful, and both could drop the opposing Pokemon's Special Defense. The only difference, aside from the type of course, was what the attack was composed of. Energy Ball was made from natural energy, like the grass that was here. Abra held the blast to Jolteon's stomach, and used it to shove the creature off. It caused the Electric-type to fly back a couple of feet, but it managed to land on its feet. This Abra wasn't playing around, and if given the chance I believed it could be a true threat. Never mind how deadly it could be when it became an Alakazam...

OOC: Female cause who even has a Female Abra

Jolteon shot forward, sending the grass rippling about created by the fake breeze he created by the sheer speed he was running at. I watched his little feet as he darted around and towards the defenseless-looking Abra. The little Psychic type could always just try and troll us and use Teleport, which would just make it disappear and re-appear somewhere close by in just a matter of nano-seconds. It was a pretty cool move if you could execute it properly, but from what I've seen of this move, it seems to drain the Pokemon using it of their energy. Abra had already done it quite a good amount of time when Jolteon was attacking it earlier, but perhaps it still had enough energy left to pull of a few more times, which could easily tire Jolteon out by all the running he's been doing.

I opened my mouth, just about to make a sound, when I realised it was too late. Not too late in the bad sense, but actually too late in the sense that Jolteon had gotten too close for the Abra to successfully manage to teleport away. Another downside of Teleport was that the move required full concentration and unless the Pokemon had properly mastered this particular move, it could take quite a long time to do it. So far this Abra hasn't had much problem with it at all, but I'm sure it was becoming harder and harder as its remaining health and energy were being drained by the second. I hadn't really thought about it until now but this battle was actually coming near enough to a close even though it had only been going on just a few minutes. It's unusual to face opponents like this and have the battles last hardly any time.

Then again, Abra was still a first stage Pokemon, meaning it hadn't yet been raised or gathered enough life experience enough to evolve. Its natural statistics weren't very good, apart from its Special Attack and its Speed. This kind of thing happened when two very fast Pokemon fight against each other. It was probably worse now because both of the Pokemon were actually relatively frail and wouldn't have much stamina. Looking at Jolteon as he leapt up into the air, preparing the attack, I noticed he was actually still doing quite well. His breathing was becoming a little more rough and patchy, and his fur was all ruffled up. Apart from those minor things, Jolteon was actually really shining for me considering the amount of attacks it had taken. That's one thing I've always loved about this guy.

Jolteon had leapt up high into the air, its body outstretched like that of a cat yawning as its body soaked up all the heat generated by the fire. its jaw opened wide and those pearly white teeth shone a little in the bright light being generated by the sun. Although the sun had dipped a little, it was still relatively high and it was still quite warm. I heard a little murmur of pain - not so much as a squeal even coming from the Abra's tiny little mouth as those pointed sharp teeth bit down on the yellow shoulder. Jolteon jumped back instinctively, prepared for a retalliation move, which it then got.

I saw some particles seem to be absorbed upwards into Abra's outstretched hands. It looked to be grass and other minerals coming from the ground. Within a very short space of time, a green ball of glowing energy had formed, and it was shot straight at Jolteon's legs. The Abra's outstretched arms fell back into a resting position, but aside from that, the little Psychic type didn't move a muscle as the glowing ball of energy burst forward and exploded on Jolteon's legs. He tripped up a little, and as he started to make his way back to me I could see he was limping a little.

"Don't worry, Jolteon," I said calmly. "We're nearly done here. I want you to try and hurt the Abra with one last move and then I'll try and make a capture of it. Sound good?"

He gave a bark of approval as I whipped out a Park Ball.

"Try a Shadow Ball. But be careful not to knock it out!" I doubted that Shadow ball would knock it out really, but it was better safe than sorry. I tossed the regular Park Ball as Jolteon began to shoot off the glowing purple and grey blobs appearing before him, individually. As though they were being shot from a machine gun.

    @Synthesis;

"Don't worry, Jolteon, we're nearly done here. I want you to try and hurt the Abra with one last move and then I'll try and make a capture of it. Sound good?" Jay said calmly, after his Jolteon had limped a little from the previous attack. I couldn't say I was too surprised seeing him trying to end things now. I mean he spent a decent enough amount of time battling this thing, and I'm sure he wanted to go back to his Flying-type hunting as soon as he could. I didn't know why he wanted Flying-types specifically, maybe it was just because he knew they were the coolest type out there, but hey I wasn't gonna question him.

"Try a Shadow Ball. But be careful not to knock it out!" Jay commanded. He probably figured that this wouldn't knock out Abra anyway, but hey it was always better to be safe rather than being sorry. Didn't want to make something you spent a decent enough amount of time battling unable to be caught. That was always the case, and as the battle approached the end, whether you were sure that an attack would finish off your foe or not, it was always best to say to hold back a little or something. During the command Jay pulled out an ordinary Park Ball, and when Jolteon noticed he barked, giving his approval, that he understood what to do.

Shadow Ball was something we had already seen during this battle, only from Abra. It was, as mentioned before, a Ghost-type attack, that had a chance of lowering the foes Special Defense. The difference here though was that Jolteon didn't have arms where it could create the attack like its foe had, so instead it opened up its mouth, and formed the attack in a similar way to how it did Thunder Wave. Not to mention that Ghost-types were also strong against Psychic-types, so this was bound to do a pretty decent chunk of damage. Jolteon formed the ball, and fired it off at Abra. It tried to get out of the way, but it was too battered from all the previous assaults. The attack hit it dead on in the lower half of its body, and flung it back a couple of feet.

Jay saw that this was the chance he had been waiting for, and without even waiting to see Abra hit the ground, he tossed his Park Ball at the Psychic-type before it could do anything, and watched as it was sucked in. This was one tough creature, I'll say that much, because despite the beating it took, as well as being paralyzed, you could see it fighting to get out of that ball, but in the end the struggle was all for not for it.

"Congratulations Jay, it's good to see you had finally found something you wanted to capture," I said, as I walked over to the freshly caught Abra's ball, and placed in my pocket for safe keeping. "Now that that is out of the way, we can continue going whenever you're ready," I said, giving him a chance to active his Voice Disc again if he wanted, or to return Jolteon to its ball.

"Congratulations Jay. It's good to see you had finally found something you wanted to capture," Gary said just a few seconds after the Park Ball had sucked up the weakened Abra and began wobbling. The wobbling about lasted a bit longer than it usually tended to do, which definitely showed me this Abta was a strong fighter who kept at it despite the odds. I pulled out the Pokeplayer and inserted the Voice Disk as he stowed away the ball.

"Good that we found something that was useful so early," I noted. I pressed the play properly and the same strangled cawing sound that we had heard the first time I played it was repeated. I did really want to get a Murkrow through this Park rum but it wasn't the end of the world if I didn't. I had a person back home who would still trade me a Murkrow for my Abra.

    @Synthesis;

"Good that we found something that was useful so early," Jay said, as he once again hit play on his Murkrow Voice Disc. The thing had five chances of luring one to him with the cry it played, so hey he may as well try to milk all five chances, and see if one ends up showing up. That was the thing with the park, sometimes a Voice Disc might instantly work, and you find just what you're looking for, and other times it might never work. It was a hit or miss situation. Once Jay was done with his business, we were once again ready to take off.

We continued along the grassy path we had been on, and nothing really caught my eye. I mean there wasn't exactly any place to hide in this little area, so unless a Pokemon could make itself invisible, or was hovering in the air above our heads, it simply just meant that nothing was around here right now. All this really meant though was that we needed to walk a little longer, before we might encounter something. We walked for about another five or so minutes, when a creature slowly approached us, before we reached it.

It was a small cat-like creature. Well, its body may have been small, but it had a rather large head, which seemed a bit out of place for its body size, and was therefore kind of funny. Its body was mainly purple in color, though there were spots of white on it. Most notably these spots; its neck up to under its nose, its shoulders, its back from above its tail, to its head, and back paws. Its eyelids were, what appeared to be pink in color, and its eyes themself were actually green. When you take a good look at it, and think about species, this could be considered a counterpart to a Poochyena. I had my doubts that Jay would want this, but I had to ask.

"Do you care to face this Purrloin?"

We egan to walk on togethet just after the Voice Disk called out. The surrounding land was still more or less completely devoid of life. If there were even any Murkrow out at this time of day, I doubt that they would be able to hear us anyway. Then again, maybe the voice would carry out to a big distance because of how quiet it was.

After a little over five minutes, a small cat with a disproportioned head strutted in front of us. Its head looked so out of place and reminded me of a bobble-head statue thing I used to have when I was younger. Gary didn't look too hopeful when he asked whether I would want it or not, and I couldn't blame him for acting this way. I tended to flee just about everything that wasn't amazing. This was no different than then.

"Let's try and escape. I have 2,500 if needs be for me to buy a Pokedoll."

@Synthesis; As you can see the disc never ended up working.

Jay looked far less than pleased at the sight of this Purrlion. I couldn't particularly blame him, it wasn't all that rare, nor that powerful, even if it did have its uses. "Let's try and escape. I have 2,500 if needs be for me to buy a Pokedoll," Jay said, as he reached into his pocket to grab the necessary money if needed. It was always for the best to have money ready, and be prepared in the end that you couldn't escape from the Pokemon you didn't want.

I looked at Jay, nodded, and waved my hand signaling that we would try to get around it now. We started to walk around it, but it didn't want to have any of that. Purrlion started to growl at the two of us, letting us know it wanted a battle, or at the very least some company. I stuck my hand out to Jay, in which he placed the needed money in, and I then proceeded on to pull out a Pokedoll. Rather than just throw the thing at Purrlion, I placed it on the ground for the creature. The cat came over, and sniffed it. It looked happy about being given this doll, and it grabbed it with its teeth before running off. We took off once again now.

We continued to walk, as Jay was still playing that Murkrow Voice Disc in an attempt to find one. If one didn't show up now it would have just been a wasted disc, with no more uses on it. Nothing seemed to be showing itself for about the next ten or so minutes, and so I figured now would have probably been as a good a time as any to check out the other side of Meteor Valley. That is until a powerful creature showed up before us.

This wasn't just any ordinary creature mind you, this was a Legendary Pokemon. It was part Psychic-type, and like so many others it was also part Dragon-type. The lower half of its body was entirely red in color, with stubby little feet, and jet-plane like wings. On its chest it had a blue triangle shape, to go along with its triangle shaped ears. The upper half of its body was white, and a red face with a white pentagon in the middle. Unlike most Legendary Pokemon that appeared to have no gender, this thing actually did have a gender. It was female.

"Look at that Jay, it's Latias. That's a sight to behold."

The Purrloin didn't seem to want to let us to go so easily so when Gary stuck out his hand I handed him the money in exchange for a Pokedoll. The Marill doll was thrown down and the Purloin began to eye it suspiciously, but it soon pounced on it and began to purr as it played with the plush toy.

We began to walk now, the cry of the Murkrow still echoing out, but there was no sign of the crow. If I recalled correctly, this was our last use of the Disc before it became unusable for the remainder of the run. Soon, however, we were greeted by a large Dragon type Ledgendary. I took a quick flash of the very playful looking Latias and took out another Voice Disc. This one was of a Sigilyph, something I'd never even seen outside of pictures before.

I pressed the play button anxiously
