    vs. Luxio BP1

“I’ll make this quick,” Sennyo said in response to my question earlier.

“Well, the floor is all yours,” I said as I stepped back to allow Sennyo some space for his battle.

While I was very interested in what had caused the loud commotion that we’d hear earlier, I was sure it wasn’t anything that could jeopardize our safety. Besides, I was required to allow Sennyo to battle any Pokémon that we met along the way.

Sennyo pulled out a bright red and white Pokeball. Then, it threw it forward, making sure it landed at a strategic distance from Luxio. A small bright flash of light revealed its contents: a Marowak whom Sennyo called Cecil. The ground-type Pokémon would have a big advantage over the electric-type Pokémon Luxio; however, I’d seen an Electivire overcome a Garchomp before, so this battle would prove to be interesting.

Sennyo’s first order of business was to command his Marowak to use Focus Energy. The Pokémon got down in a prayer stance and started to concentrate really hard. Even though it seems like Marowak was vulnerable, I knew that the Pokémon was well aware of her surroundings.

Luxio was probably also aware of this. The Pokémon started to generate electricity. Only, it wasn’t aiming for Marowak. The electricity started to pulse and move around in the air. I was amazed at what was happening. The electricity was starting to take the form of a face. The electric face started to change into a purple-ish color. Then, it struck and moaned. It’s pretty hard to describe, but it was pretty scary. I’m pretty sure the attack knocked off Marowak’s concentration.

The fight was just getting started. While Luxio had gained the type advantage, Marowak had gained an increased chance of critical hits. This was anybody’s fight, but I was, of course, rooting for Sennyo and Marowak.

[[OOC: Sorry about my Scary Face fail. I hope you can get the general idea of what I was going for. :\ ]]

The Luxio attack was not one I was used to I believe the Scary face affected me more than Cecil. I smiled when Luxio used his attack at first generating electricity. I believed the Pokémon had done a rather common mistake of using an electric move on a ground type, had he done just that Cecil would had felt a small tingling sensation in his body, creating a small grin to appear on his face as he finished his own move.

Alas that was not what happened. The electricity started to pulse and move in the air. I had never before seen such a wonder; however it then started to turn into a hideous shape of a face that made me shiver. I was almost glad that Cecil had his eyes closed so that he could not see the monster that Luxio had created. But he when the sound the face made he lost his concentration and open them. A shiver of fear run down Cecil’s back as he leapt into a defensive stance. Smiled as I realised that my attack had worked and Cecil was now very focused. It seemed to take Cecil a few moments to realise that the face was just a figment of Luxio attack and he giggle. My Marowak then used his bone as if to cut a diagonal line thought the face before pointing at Luxio and making a sounded which could only be translated roughly into, “Hee, Hee, Hee.”

I nodded to Cecil and shouted my command. “Ok Cecil, Time we show our foe some true power, Bone Rush!” Cecil replayed hastily And when into a sprint. At first Cecil seemed fairly slow, partly due to the fact he was a ground type Pokémon and partly due to the scary face. Despite his he was making quite a good speed and leap toward Luxio. Bone at his hip as if to be a sword drawn from a scabbard. I stood back and watched in full confidence, wondering how the electric kitten would react.

    vs. Luxio BP2

Marowak didn’t seem too fazed by Luxio’s attempt to scare him away from the battle. However, he was knocked out of his concentration. Marowak quickly jumped to his feet and took on a defensive stance. Sennyo knew the Pokémon was ready and decided that it was time to give him an order.

“Ok Cecil, Time we show our foe some true power, Bone Rush!” Sennyo commanded his Pokémon.

Marowak rushed up to Luxio, holding the bone as if he was holding a sheathed sword. Then, at the last moment, he whipped her bone out and hit Luxio in the head with it. The sheer power of the attack caused Luxio to fall flat on its stomach. After bashing on the Pokemon, who was lying on the ground, a few more times, Marowak retreated back to his trainer’s side.

Luxio got back up to its feet. It shook its head in an attempt to brush off the previous attack that most likely resulted in a concussion. After regaining consciousness of its surroundings, Luxio looked up at the Marowak standing in front of it. For a moment there, it thought there were two Marowak standing in front of it. The two Marowak seemed to merge and split up again slowly.

After shaking it off again, Luxio looked ahead and saw where Marowak actually was. Its eyes were developed as much as it would be when it became a Luxray, but it was developed enough to realize that Marowak wouldn’t be damaged too much by an electric attack. Besides, it’d seen how calm Marowak and his trainer was when it’d used electricity earlier to produce a Scary Face.

Luxio called from deep within itself to use an attack that was usually learned from birth. The electric Pokémon charged towards Marowak. As it ran, it bared its teeth which seemed to be giving off frost. It lunged at the Marowak with the intent to sink its frozen teeth into Marowak’s hard skin.

[[I forgot to ask, but what gender for Luxio?]]

Cecil attack brought a smile to my face. It reminded me of our first battle; back when Cecil was a Cubone. While we lost that battle we were wiser and stronger now, and would not lose. I watch the Luxio being hit a few more time by Cecil, before he plodded back towards me, his tail moving from side to side after an attack well done. The Luxio was starting to get back up now, trying to remove a concussion that he seemed to be suffering.

As the Pokémon continued to get its bearing and plan it next move. I tried to do the same. I knew that I would have to try and do the same. I realised that the chances of the Luxio using an electric attack was slim. I had been paying some attention as we walked down the dark corridors by studying Dee’s Luxray. I had notice the Pokémon seemed to be very clever and seem to be able to taking in almost every bit of detail we seemed to have passed. In theory the Luxio should have been the same.

My eyes darted over the battle field, for it seemed the next round was about to begin. The Luxio started to charge toward Cecil and I showing its fangs. I knew what it was about to do. It seemed to be using the move bite.

“Cecil, Let use our head. Headbutt!” I shouted. Cecil giggled and pointed at himself at the mention of his name. Before realising that I had issued an attack command and charged forwards. The skull on his head was harder than a rock and would protect him from the bite. I smile as I had everything planed out. Everything but the small bits for frost on the fangs. I panicked for I hadn’t participated that the attack was Ice Fang and not a normal bite attack. All I could to was attempt to warn Cecil before it was too late.
    “Cecil, Block the Luxio a
ttack with your bone. Quickly!” I shouted and hoped for the best.

    vs. Luxio BP3

As Luxio got up for his next attack, Marowak and Sennyo started to think of their next attack. As Sennyo thought, Luxio lunged at Marowak. He opened his mouth to reveal frost and ice forming within.

“Cecil, Let use our head. Headbutt!” Sennyo commanded Marowak, who’d just made his way back to his trainer.

Marowak planted his feet into the ground. As Luxio headed for him, he ran with all of his might. I assumed that he was going to push himself off of the ground at the last moment so that he could exert the most possible amount of force. A few seconds later, I heard a cry come from Sennyo.

“Cecil, Block the Luxio’s attack with your bone. Quickly!” He yelled, hoping Marowak would be able to defend himself with the last minute notice.

Marowak quickly pulled out his bone and held it in front of him. Luxio’s teeth came smashing down, clamped on the bone. The bone froze over as all of the ice rushed around it. The cold bone caused Marowak to let go of it.

I’d never seen a Marowak let go of its bone before. Marowak loved their bones and would die trying to protect it and prevent losing their grasp of it. Luxio tossed the bone with his jaws into the far off corner. Then, repeating the same procedure as last time, he lunged towards Marowak with his frosty teeth.

I was in shock. First of all Cecil had managed to stop his attack and block the ice fang. And secondly he had lost his bone. Marowak had never lost his bone before, except for that one time when he was using it as a fishing rod, or that time he dropped it in a wood, far away from here. There was also the time when it was stolen by Choco, my Dodrio. I started to realise that Cecil seemed to lose his bone quite often; it was part of his relaxed nature. But Cecil had never lost his bone in a battle before. Cecil also seemed surprised by this after the shock had worn off. He seemed to be very angry at the Luxio. I had only ever seen him this angry once, when he was a Cubone. We happened to be fighting a Shellos at the time when Cecil stubbed his toe. At that time I was a younger trainer and could not control the situation and Cecil went into a rage. The attack was so powerful that the Shellos went flying and we couldn’t find him after that.

I pondered on the memory for a second and tried to think of a plan. The Luxio threw the bone, now covered in ice, from his mouth into the far corner of the room, like a man throwing a Frisbee. It hit the wall and fell to the ground. That action seemed to hurt my Marowak more that any attack would have and it to all his might to run over there, his back turned to his opponent and pick it up again. It to more of his might not to punch the Luxio for throwing his bone in the first place. Marowak seemed to give a low growl in anger and stood in a defensive position wait for an order by me. I had greater respects for Cecil right then, and decide to let him have his revenge.

As the Luxio prepared his Ice fang again and began to lunged forward. I shouted my command. “Cecil. Use Rage!” I watch the smile of anger appear on Cecil’s face as he lunged forward, clenching both his fist (or paws) ready to punch the Luxio. I was surprised by the fact that he was still focused after the focus energy attack and that he managed to find and opening under the moving Luxio underbelly. With what could only be describe as a roar, he went in with all his strength for the kill.

    vs. Luxio BP4

Marowak seemed pretty put off when Luxio defiantly threw his bone into the corner of the room. I could only imagine how upset he was since a Marowak’s bone was the most important possession they had next to the skulls that they wore. He staggered over and picked up the bone, trying his best not to go into a raging fit.

“Cecil, use Rage!” His trainer commanded after a bit of contemplation.

A smirk came across Marowak’s face. Now, he had a chance to release the anger within. Luxio charged at Marowak with the intention to once again use Ice Fang. He lunged for the ground-type Pokémon as Marowak pulled back his fist.

With all of his might, Luxio chomped down on Marowak’s body. The spot immediately froze over. Marowak cried out in pain. His body started to give off a dark red mist as if the anger inside of him was manifesting itself. I knew his attack power was also rising because Rage caused the Pokémon’s attack to rise whenever they were hit.

With a mighty swing, Marowak punched Luxio from the side. Luxio, whose teeth were still clenched in Marowak’s skin, immediately let go. With a yelp, he flew into a nearby corner and crashed into it. The Pokémon staggered back up to his feet and attempted to shake off the pain that he was in.

He growled at the Marowak. Then, with a faint flash of light, he split into five different copies. It was the dreaded Double Team. I always hated when this attack was used. A Pokémon only had a one out of five chance of successfully hitting the user. In this case, Marowak and Sennyo had pulled the short end of the straw because they were the ones who had to counter this attack.
