"Now this is what I call an adventure... I don't think quicksand naturally occurs in a cave, does it? I bet a Pokemon is causing this, perhaps a Hippowdon? Well whatever it is, talking about it isn't going to help us get past this colloid hydrogel. Propane, you're a little too hot for me to hold onto, it's Starmie's turn now. Starmie, use Flash so we can see again." Zoa said.

I had giggled at the command. It probably wasn't an intended pun, but it was quite amusing for me. I figured I was just bored anyway. As Zoa recalled his Fire-type Pokemon and sent out his Starmie, the Pokemon that appeared quickly changed several colors on its jewels, as if it was finding for a specific color. Then, it locked in on that color and a large flash of yellow-white light was emitted from Starmie's core; lighting the cave up more effectively. Starmie was supposedly a star Pokemon anyway.

"Starmie, do you see that quicksand? Stand at the edge of it and use Protect. We're going to go through the sand. However, I'll be behind you and be holding onto you so make sure you include me on the Protect. If you can't hold onto Flash anymore, that's fine. We don't need light while we're in the sand. Just be ready to light up the place again after we sink through, and be ready for whatever is on the other side." Zoa commanded.

The Starmie seemed to have thought about the commands for a while, as if it was analyzing how to carry it out perfectly. It readied itself at the border between the ground and the quicksand, to which its trainer followed closely behind. "Well, here goes nothing," Zoa said as he latched onto his Starmie. Once they had hugged each other, the Starmie emitted a luminous green glow and a barrier-like orb started to form and envelope both the Starmie and its trainer within. With a sudden jump by using one of its spikes, they landed in the middle of the quicksand and the effects of it started to work.

I watched intensely as it happened; so did Alakazam. I knew that Alakazam would alert me if anything went wrong, but I still remained a little worried. The quicksand swallowed them with a relatively fast speed, as if there was a vacuum cleaner underneath the quicksand. They soon vanished, and the quicksand returned to normal. We wouldn't even notice that it's quicksand if Alakazam hasn't warned us. Alakazam walked up to me and spread his arms out ... it was my turn now. I hugged Alakazam tightly and closed my eyes, while he did his magic. I felt a strange sensation as the Protect barrier passed through me to secure me within the confinements of the barrier, and my heart soon skipped a beat as Alakazam took a decisive jump.

I started to feel extremely grateful for the Protect barrier. I had felt like an astronaut in outer space in fact. If not for the Protect barrier, I wouldn't even be able to imagine the thought of me sinking down the quicksand, while it enveloped my face, my eyes, my ears, my mouth ... argh. It probably looked like a container sinking down the quicksand. As I took the last glimpse of the cave, the Protect barrier finally sunk fully into the quicksand, and it was complete darkness. It was a bit of a pity though. I was always the adventurous type, and I would definitely love to see the sight of us being enveloped by quicksand now.

Suddenly, as if to answer my thoughts, Alakazam's spoons started to shine. As they bent further, a silver gleam of flash was projected out from the angle of the bent, and soon expanded into a light membrane that connected with the Protect barrier. Alakazam had used Flash. I thanked Alakazam in my head, knowing that he could hear me, then quickly looking around me by moving my eyes since I couldn't move. It was just sandy brown everywhere, with sand particles smacking onto the surface of the barrier once every few seconds. It felt like we were in the heart of a sandstorm. Although it felt exciting, it was also kind of frightening. I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if the Protect barrier were to have a slight deficiency; like a ruptured hole ... not that I would want that to happen.

Soon, it started to wind down. The sand particles were not as violent as before, and I could tell that we were reaching the end of the quicksand. I heard a 'flop' sound as we emerged out from the end of the quicksand, dropping into yet another cave. Zoa and Starmie had reached safely as well, and Starmie had already lighted up the area with its own Flash. The cave was different from the previous in the aspects that the cave walls were naturally brighter than the previous. I couldn't tell what material it was, but it was of a sandy brown color, as if the wall was made up of sand itself. Then again, I could even hear some weird sound coming from ahead. It heard like the sound of waterfall crashing, but more of a gurgling type of sound as well. I couldn't make up what it is; we'd need to get closer. The only way was to push forward anyway.

Just as we were about to move deeper into the caves, we were stopped abruptly again. The ground in front of us started to swirl into whirlpools of sand - something that I had not expected at all. "... Please don't tell me that this is another quicksand," I yelled amidst the commotion. The entire cave was shaking, as if an earthquake had just been activated, but it was in fact just because of the whirling sand in front of us. "Oh wait, there's a silhouette!" I shouted at the top of my voice, hoping that Zoa would be able to hear till what I had said. It was another Pokemon encounter.

From within the whirling sands, a mole-like Pokemon launched itself from the core of the temporary quicksand-like structure. As soon as it was out of it, the cave stopped shaking and the ground in front of us had returned back to normal. It jumped and landed in front of us, and stared at Zoa. It gave off some sort of a contented grin, but I was pretty sure that this Drillbur was wanting to fight Zoa as much as Zoa had wanted to fight Drillbur himself. The Drillbur then took a few steps back and crossed its arms defensively - it was preparing for a battle.

"I would assume you're going to try and capture this?" I asked.

“A Drilbur, just what I was looking for. How fortunate of uh, eh Starmie?”

The Starmie blinked its center gem with several colors, which Zoa seemed to understand as a ‘yes’.

Zoa eyed the mole Pokemon. It was no Diglett that was for sure. The Pokemon had black fur, but it was painted with blobs of blue-gary stripes that almost resembled camouflage. Two stubby and tiny paws held the Pokemon upright; these small limbs contrasted with its arms, which were tipped with very tremendous claws. The Pokemon could easily dig at a fast pace with those claws. The Drilbur in its ready stance would open and close its claws, ready for an attack to come at it. When its claws were closed together, it looked as though the Pokemon had flippers, and it resembled a penguin. Its snout was comparable to its claws, as they were about the same size. At the tip of its snout was its pink nose, which wiggled every once in a while to sniff the surroundings, as most rodent Pokemon would. Its eyes were large and conveyed a look of excitement and readiness for the battle. This matched its expression from its mouth, which was wide open. It was brimming with energy for such a small Pokemon, about the size of a boot. However, despite its size, Zoa did not underestimate this creature, that would be brash. He was well aware of its potential, and that is why he wanted it.

“Ok Starmie, this could be a lengthy battle, but we can stay calm and in control. Drilbur is better at using physical attacks than special attacks. Therefore guarding ourselves from them will be very handy. Wait for it to attack, but use your superior speed to your advantage and dodge the attack, preferably by going up in the air a little. Its ground attacks will be less effective if you dodge upwards. Then, going back to Drilbur liking physical attacks, use Barrier to raise your defense.”

If this command is successful, the following would happen. Starmie primed itself for whatever the Drilbur would try to dish out at it. It raised itself very quickly with its psychic powers and started rotating its back star like some sort of helicopter propeller, although it was upright. Its core then flashed several colors once again, landing on the appropriate one for the Barrier attack, which happened to be a light blue color. A thin coating generated around Starmie, the same color as the gem, but transparent. It generated by bleeding all around Starmie, although there was no pain involved. It seemed like a liquid at first, but then hardened into something crystalline. The Barrier’s appearance was like glass, but definitely not fragile like it, or else it could hardly fend of physical attacks. The Starmie, coated in its new protective shell, began spinning, ready for its next command.

“Good. That Drilbur should have a tough time doing any major damage with that Barrier coat. Now, I have a plan but it could take some time. I want to paralyze that Drilbur with Thunder Wave, but it is a Ground type, so that is harder than usual. However, we can make it easier by soaking that Drilbur in water, and even easier if that water is Brine. Your Brine attack is full of salts, like sodium chloride. When those particles are in water, they separate into charged sodium and and chloride ions. Additionally, the natural salts of this ground will add even more salts to the solution. The charges of all of these atoms will conduct the electricity of your Thunder Wave and become more effective than usual. So without any further delay, let’s start filling this place up with Brine. We only need about an inch or two of water depth to use against this Drilbur, since it is only a foot tall. Also, move around as you do this. Float in circles and bob up and around that Drilbur, dodge it as best as you can.

The Starmie let out a strange garbled noise as it processed the information to start the plan. It then manipulated the gravity around it with its psychic powers and moved itself at will through the air around the mole. Streams of water then started pumping out of several of its points. The Barrier coating it had created previously did not impede this flow, as it seemed to be selectively permeable for the user. The water bursting out of Starmie was not only aimed at the Drilbur, but some of its star points merely spat out water onto the ground to help fill the whole area with water. Tiny particles of salt and grains of minerals could be seen in the water, differentiating it from other water moves. The water kept flowing and flowing like it was coming from a broken pipe. As Starmie did this, its gem pulsated back and forth in colors of a deep blue and violet, representing the water attack it was using, and the psychic powers it was making use of to move around.

"A Drilbur, just what I was looking for. How fortunate of uh, eh Starmie?" Zoa replied. My assumption was correct, not that I should be surprised of.

The Starmie blinked its center gem with several colors, as if it was responding to what Zoa had said. Meanwhile, the Starmie's trainer was studying the mole Pokemon with focused eyes. I figured he was probably studying the way the Drilbur had looked - this was probably the first time he had seen one as well. Drilbur is one of the newly introduced Pokemon recently, and is native to the Unova region. Therefore, many trainers have came to the National Park recently to meet these new Pokemon and capture them.

"Ok Starmie, this could be a lengthy battle, but we can stay calm and in control. Then, going back to Drilbur liking physical attacks, use Barrier to raise your defense," Zoa commanded.

The command was relatively safe, for it allowed Starmie to simply jump up and dodge almost any attack that Drilbur throws at it. Not only was Starmie fast, but it had Psychic-type powers and great jumping abilities with its spikes-like legs. I waited enthusiastically for the Drilbur to make its move. I was definitely sure that this battle will be a good one and I wasn't about to miss any of it.

The battle was basically halted now, for Starmie would only make its move when Drilbur started to move. For some reason, the Drilbur seemed to have been taking very long to make a move instead. Suddenly, as if it had heard my words; it jumped up into the air; closed its claws together; faced the ground with its upside-down; and sent itself crashing towards the ground. At first, I had thought it was an Earthquake attempt, and I could tell that Starmie thought it was too, for it had quickly did a huge jump the moment Drillbur hit the ground, but that was not the case. At the same time, it had encased itself in a crystalline coating; a defensive move which would lower the amount of damage received from physical attacks.

We only need about an inch or two of water depth to use against this Drilbur, since it is only a foot tall. Also, move around as you do this. Float in circles and bob up and around that Drilbur, dodge it as best as you can." Zoa said.

I started to wonder if the command was too much for Starmie. It had only just performed finish its Barrier and it was in a precarious state now, but Zoa had sent another line of moves. The Starmie started to charge up itself with the water energy, but quickly stopped, for the situation was starting to get tense - it was in danger. As Drilbur's claws hit the ground with a resounding crash, the ground immediately split into two and the entire cave started to shake violently. Then, the next thing that rang in my head was Alakazam's voice. <Look out! It's Fissure!> I heard it echoed inside my head for about ten times, and it was as if there were two gigantic loudspeakers beside my ears. Within seconds, the entire area that we were standing on caved in and rocks began falling like avalanche; even the area we were standing on was no exception. As we started to shriek from the fall, both Zoa and I were suddenly lifted up magically.

Once I regained my composure, I had noticed that we were inside a transparent white orb, and we were floating above ground. Alakazam had saved us from the fall. Though, I don't think Starmie was so lucky. It was considered easy for Alakazam to lift us up because he was not in a battle, so his state of mind about the surroundings was definitely more focused than Starmie in this sense. However, Starmie probably didn't even expect that Fissure, and it had no other alternatives for now. It fell into the avalanche helplessly, pummeled by gravel rocks and granites at the same time. I tried to look down, but it was so deep that everything down there was pitch black.

As if that wasn't bad enough now, the Drilbur started to spin on the spot while it dropped into the fissure itself at the same time. I wasn't sure what it was doing initially, but it soon hit me. It continued spinning viciously, while the sand and dust started to twirl around and whipped up into a humongous sandstorm. From within the fissure, a huge twister of sandstorm spun out from there and exploded into millions of sand particles, while the raging sandstorm continuously smashed into the barriers of our protective floating orb. It was almost impossible to see anything now, and the only thing I was happy about was that we were safely encased in this orb.

Even though it was virtually impossible to look, I still struggled to find any silhouette of either Starmie or Drilbur, without moving too much. I would hate to tire Alakazam out and send myself into this destructive twister of vicious sand. <I'll help you.> The voice had rang in my head again. As soon as it rang, I felt like I was hit by an invisible psychic screen and images started to play through my mind. In fact, the images was exactly what was happening now. <You're looking at the battle through my psychic vision.> Alakazam said, to which I started to realize Alakazam was merely allowing me to connect with him telepathically, so that I could see the Starmie and Drilbur.

It wasn't too much though, for I could only see a red dots, which I assumed were representing something like the life force of the Pokemon; at least it allowed me to view their locations. <Eh, will this tire you out too much?> I asked. I was definitely worried about if Alakazam could take this, and I wouldn't want to tire him out too much - I didn't want the orb to fall though. He assured me it was okay, which I was definitely glad about. From the faint vision, I could barely see a fading red dot at the very bottom, but couldn't locate the other one. I started to assume that that very red dot was Starmie, but if that was truly Starmie, where was Drilbur?

"Starmie should be at the bottom of all of these. You need to get it back up somehow. With this vicious sandstorm, I don't even think the beam of a Pokeball can reach it, at least when Starmie's location aren't even known." I said worriedly.

I started to think about solutions myself. I had a slight feeling that he might use Rain Dance to get rid of the sandstorm, but even I myself wasn't sure if it would work well or not. It would definitely rid us of the sandstorm, but having a rain in a cave isn't too impressing to me. I was only afraid that the rainfall would drown us in this confined space instead.

Zoa had almost no idea what had happened. It was all so sudden. Starmie was nowhere to be found; only his ranger and his Alakazam were with him, floating in the air along with Zoa. Floating? Zoa then realized that the Alakazam was keeping them all 3 up.

“Thank you for that save. Now, to take things into my own hand. Arceus,I choose you. Use Gravity to keep afloat.”

Zoa dug into his pockets for the Pokemon. He knew which Pokeball held which Pokemon by touch. He felt the one that held Arceus. It had a strange feeling. It almost overtook you if you were unprepared or too weak to handle what was inside. It was as though you had immense power in the palm of your hands, something godly… Zoa pulled the sphere out of his pocket and pointed it under him.
A large quadruped creature flashed out of the Pokeball. Its presence almost overcame the cave, like it was the cave itself, but also the air, the dust, the creatures, and the humans. Of course this was not the case, only the feeling. It was a feeling only a Pokemon that is said to have created the universe can transmit. Its flowing white fur felt the sand around it. A golden ring surrounded its torso while and its heeled feet shared the same color. Zoa grabbed towards the ring and adjusted himself to ride the creature. The black face of the legendary creature conveyed a look of seriousness, there was no time to waste.

“Arceus, I am in trouble. This is a cave, but the ground beneath us has fallen, and I must rely on the psychic energy of an ally to stay up. It was caused by a Drilbur’s Fissure while battling Starmie. It has also whipped up a Sandstorm. We must first have a foundation to stand on. Then we must create a way for Starmie to return up here. First, you must manipulate the earth like you did many years ago. Using the walls and ceiling of this cave, create a large bowl, like a dried up lake, with your Earth Power.”

Arceus gave a light roar and it got to work. Cracks formed all around the cave, forming lines in the walls and ceilings that created many different shapes. However, there was a method to this madness. Slabs of terrain broke off the cave. They then came together, all under Zoa and company. However, it was just a pile of rubble. The pile grew bigger as more pieces of the cave were pulled off like stripping a cabbage. Soon the pile reached the required size. Arceus manipulated the Gravity around the cave pieces. They twisted and turned and moved around. Something was beginning to form. The shapes fit together like a puzzle that only a Pokemon like Arceus could solve. Soon enough a large pool like structure had been formed. However, it was not finished. Suddenly a large hole appeared in the ceiling of the cave, and then a giant pillar of earth shot out of the hole like an Onix coming out of its underground nest. The pillar connected to the bowl structure while remaining attached to the roof of the cave. It was almost complete. It was like a huge, upside-down umbrella or mushroom made of ground. It was not as curvy as an umbrella, though; it was more flat in the center. Then 6 more pillars of ground erupted from the ceiling and served as additional supports to hold the structure up. Arceus, with Zoa on it, landed on its new creation. It let go of its Gravity.

“Good, Arceus. You have created earth, but now you must create water. We need to make a way for Starmie to get back here, as it is far under our hanging platform. Use your Waterfall technique to create a large flow of water from up here. Reverse the flow of water so it goes upward instead of downward, this should held Starmie climb more easily.”

The beast that was thought to be a myth peered over the edge of its newly created ‘world’. A Waterfall formed from out of Arceus’s will. The clear, crystalline water seemed impossible to exist in this cave, but it was indeed there, just like Arceus. After a few seconds, a splashing noise of the water started.

“Excellent. Now Arceus, use Hyper Voice and advise Starmie to climb up this waterfall you have created.”

The Pokemon let out another roar. It was in the language of Pokemon, a language that is a mystery to humans, but plain to Starmie.

"Thank you for that save. Now, to take things into my own hand. Arceus, I choose you. Use Gravity to keep afloat," Zoa said.

I started to wonder if the fissure was even that bad after all. Earlier on, even with the cave's spacious area, I doubted that it was enough for such a humongous-sized Pokemon like Arceus. However, after the fissure, the space that was created was so much more than the eye could even see.

As he finished commanding a move, he then flung a Pokeball; presumably Arceus. I was expecting to see some sort of special balls such as an Ultra Ball or whatever, but I was a little surprised to see just a normal Pokeball. Capturing a legendary Pokemon required huge, immense amount of effort and skill, and the usual presence of a legendary Pokemon meant that the trainer of it was very powerful as well. As the ball opened up, I witnessed a scene that was comparatively different to the usual cliché appearance of any other Pokemon. Instead of the usual white flash and red silhouette, the ball exploded in midair, into blinding vines of angelic-white light, that was so bright that I had to cover my eyes with my hands from the blinding effects.

As the light started to wind down a little, the crimson-ruby silhouette was revealed, transforming into the figure of a very large Pokemon. The figure had resembled a centaur, and its appearance itself was already quite intimidating. It was said that Arceus was the creator of the entire Pokemon universe, but I tend to think that it was simply one of the many Gods instead; with a little imagination reference to Greek Gods. Regardless, Zoa was Arceus' owner now, or at least for now, and I would assumed Arceus would probably respect Zoa by listening to him still, unless they were unreasonable commands of course. Zoa easily ran up to Arceus and jumped onto its back, with no difficulty at all - it was clear that they had been together for some time now.

"Arceus, I am in trouble. Using the walls and ceiling of this cave, create a large bowl, like a dried up lake, with your Earth Power." Zoa conveyed his thoughts.

The Arceus was floating in air now in fact, though I wasn't quite surprised. Even though it wasn't a Psychic- or Flying-type Pokemon, it was a given that it could levitate. I couldn't think of any scientific reason, but it was supposedly a god or creator after all. The Arceus gave a light roar, as if to respond to Zoa's commands, but I could tell that it was a little annoyed with the Drilbur's actions. There was a thin line of difference between a highly competitive Pokemon and a violent destructive Pokemon.

As it used its Earth Power, cracks starting forming all around the cave, forming flickering red lines in the walls and ceilings that created many varying shapes. With Gravity, it made it even easier to manipulate the cave pieces by defying Earth's gravity itself; constructing back the structure of the cave. After what seemed like forever, with pillars and concretes shooting out from random places - it was as if I was watching some sci-fi movie - a new ground had been created. It was definitely different from before, and some of it had some sort of a deja vu in fact - it resembled like some godly place, with those pillars surrounding the boundaries of the area. They then landed on the ground safely.

I started to wonder about both Starmie and Drilbur in fact. Starmie was still somewhere beneath this tiny fissure which extended all the way to the bottom of the cave, but Drilbur was nowhere to be found. "Good, Arceus. You have created earth, but now you must create water. We need to make a way for Starmie to get back here, as it is far under our hanging platform. Use your Waterfall technique to create a large flow of water from up here. Reverse the flow of water so it goes upward instead of downward, this should held Starmie climb more easily." Zoa said, breaking my train of thoughts.

Like what it was commanded, the Arceus quickly proceed to performing a Waterfall attack. For the first time, I had managed to observe the strongest Waterfall ever. With a huge amount of expertly-based skill, Arceus made use of its inner strength to create a Waterfall down the slight fissure. Soon, the caves were echoing with the sound of the waters crashing down onto the cave bottom. Though, that was only for a short period, for Arceus had actually reversed the flow of the water now. The waterfall's flow was reversed, and water that shot up sprinkled down, just like a gigantic water sprinkler.

"Excellent. Now Arceus, use Hyper Voice and advise Starmie to climb up this waterfall you have created." Zoa said again.

The Pokemon let out another roar this time. I could almost see faint silhouettes of luminous patterns in the direction of the roar, to which I assumed it was some sort of constellation. I knew that Starmie had the ability to read such language. Within seconds, there was a sudden rush of water gushing from the bottom, and a spinning projectile was shot up from below. It landed safely beside Zoa, and stood to attention. The Starmie had visible wounds and its jewel core was crushed to bits, presumably from the impact of that sudden fall, but it was still doing fine other than that.

Regardless, it was Arceus facing off against Drilbur now, unless Zoa calls it back in next turn. Suddenly, just as Arceus was looking at Starmie with concern; a barrage of huge rocks came raining down onto Arceus. There was no time to react, or to even dodge, especially since Arceus was so large. All of us watched as Arceus ot smashed by the violent edges of the rocks. At this time, the Drilbur had reappeared, standing in front of Arceus. It certainly had lots of guts to strike a Pokemon like Arceus that way. That's not all, for its claw-like hands were now even sharper than before, and they were definitely giving some sort of a shine - it had boosted its attack somehow. Just as the raining rocks came to an end, Arceus started flinching uncomfortable instead.

I watched as a sudden rush of venomous violet-purple toxins overwhelmed it, spreading over its entire body from the areas that the Rock Slide attack had crashed into. The Drilbur must have used Toxic on its rocks before attacking. With the amount of time it was given, there was no doubt that it was preparing for all of these. After all, species like Drilbur were most apt at digging underground, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was weaving around the cave the entire time; preparing and studying for the right amount to strike.

"It's good to have Starmie back. However, it looks like that Drilbur roughed you up a little bit, Arceus. No matter, let me ease it down first."

Zoa rummaged through his backpack. He took out a strange looking spray bottle. It read, "CALMING FRAGRANCE PLUS". He pulled the trigger of the bottle and a strong scent came out as a large mist. It floated through the air full of dirt and debris. He violently sprayed more until the whole bottle was out of its strange fragrance, like an anorexic girl throwing up. Soon the whole cave smelled of the odor. The smell of the fragrance was unclear, it was sweet like perfume based on some kind of fruit, but it occasionally drifted into a slight hint smell of chloroform. Perhaps these specific smells is what caused the fragrance to be so effective? Regardless, the mist of the fragrance made its way towards the opposing Ground Pokemon. Its snout twitched a little of the smell. However, its exact effect could not be accurately described unless one had the eye of a National Park Ranger.

"Arceus, that mole has damaged you. Show it how serious we are with Extremespeed."

The equestrian-like creature began to gallop back and forth. When it turned, it seemed to lose no speed, merely gain it. It was soon a white and yellow blur, or was it a flash, like light? It was impossible to decipher that the moving phenomenon was even an Arceus as this point. The mighty god then made one last turn, towards the Drilbur. However, the movement was so quick, that a single blink could could cause you to miss the impact. A fourth of a second later, Arceus appeared in front of Zoa again, as though nothing astonishing had happened.

"Now, give the Pokemon a strong Judgment attack."

If the Drilbur was not religious, it sure would be now. A ball of light glowed out of Arceus's now open mouth. It consumed any hint of darkness around it. Then more balls of light formed on the tips of Arceus's torso's ring. It was as though the deity was attached with several superpowered light bulbs, but not as mundane. Then each orb released a beam of fluorescence of pure white, representing the Normal-type. The beams twisted and curved and created various patterns of ancient Pokemon scripture as they zoomed towards the mole. They then all collided onto a single point: the Drilbur.

"Are you feeling good Arceus? Use Refresh."

Arceus's fur did have a tinge of purple, and it did not shine as it used to. This was the effect of Toxic on the physical appearance of Arceus. However, the Pokemon let out a roar and something miraculous happened. Arceus regurgitated. A giant pool of purple-brown left Arceus's mouth. This was supposedly the poison that had entered Arceus's system. Arceus's fur then had a transformation. Its fur swayed up, down, left, and right, as though it was beeing sweeped by an invisible broom. And with each sweep, the hue of the purple poison started fading. Soon enough, Arceus's whole body was completely white again.

"That is enough for now Arceus, I choose you Togekiss."

Zoa's two hands help up two Pokeballs, and as one Pokemon was summoned back to its Pokemon, another one replaced it on the field.

Togekiss's winged body danced in the air. There was no doubt she was ready to pull a trick or two on the opponent with the expression on her face. The rest of Togekiss's appearance was an anomaly. She seemed like a very plump bird with a majority of its body being her wings, but truly avian. The rotund body of the Pokemon was speckled with blue and red rounded triangles. On the head were three horn-like appendages, the middle one white, the right one red, and the left one blue.

"It's good to have Starmie back. However, it looks like that Drilbur roughed you up a little bit, Arceus. No matter, let me ease it down first," Zoa said.

He started to fidget and rampage through his backpack, and I was pretty sure he was either looking for some healing items or a fragrance. At the same time, he then pulled up a small bottle that had a spraying device attached to it. There were letters scribbled neatly on it: "CALMING FRAGRANCE PLUS"; an item that had the ability to calm the wild Pokemon down and make a capture easier. As he pulled onto the trigger of the bottle, a strong scent of perfume whiffed out of the bottle and spread towards the direction of the Drilbur. He must have been a person who didn't like to waste resources, for he violently held onto it and continued spraying until the bottle was completely depleted.

"Arceus, that mole has damaged you. Show it how serious we are with Extremespeed." Zoa commanded.

Even with Zoa's battle command, the Drilbur still settled there motionless. It was visibly affected by the short terms effect of the perfume, which was its calm and alluring smell that kept lingering around the target. Arceus wasn't about to lower down its guard however. It began galloping back and forth, like a wild horse on frenzy. It dashed and zapped itself towards the Drilbur, appearing and disappearing all in matters of milliseconds; so much so that everything was a complete blur of dust. It then smashed itself towards the Drilbur, sending it flying towards the cave wall.

"Now, give the Pokemon a strong Judgment attack." Zoa commanded again, not wasting any time.

The Arceus opened its mouth, revealing a huge ball of orange light. It was as if it was like the sun - it had immediately brightened up the entire area, consuming any hint of darkness around it. Then, smaller orbs of light started to form on the tips of its torso ring and as they twisted and curved, they eventually created various patterns of ancient Pokemon scripture and blasted themselves towards the Drilbur.

"Are you feeling good Arceus? Use Refresh." Zoa had gave another command.

Although sending battle moves quickly might be a good idea to throw the opponent off balance, it didn't allow for the trainer's Pokemon to make any last minute changes, if anything had happened... The Drilbur though, wasn't about to become a sitting duck. It quickly put its arm up to its head and formed its body into a drill yet again. It did a huge leap into the air and blasted itself towards the Refreshing Arceus; just like a spinning drill revolver. I suddenly had a sort of a flashback, from the way the Drilbur had spun - there was supposed to be a raging sandstorm going on. I looked around but it was no longer there anymore. Although Arceus didn't really stop it, there were possibilities that the duration of Sandstorm was a short one and it had already wind down by now, or that the attacks earlier had dissipated the sandstorm bit by bit.

I concentrated my attention back on the battle, and the Drilbur was within colliding distance. The Judgement attack had shot in right at this moment. However, the multiple blasts of orange-colored energy beams simply deflected off the spinning surface of the Drilbur. Not only must the Drilbur have been spinning at an extremely fast speed, I gathered that the defensive posture that it takes when it turns into a drill had contributed a little as well. Though, Arceus was already in the middle of its Refresh attack. It roared out loud and vomited out a rich pool of lavender purple-brown poison; reversing the effects of the toxins.

When it had finished its Refresh attack, it was quickly sent stumbling back instead. The Drilbur smashed itself into the Arceus, but the position wasn't as straight as before though. It was slightly crooked, possibly from the impact of the earlier Judgement attacks. Still, the attack had packed much of a punch. It then bounced back after the attack, quickly trying to get some safe distance between its opponent again. Although it was still hitting hard physically, it was also starting to pant - fatigue was starting to get to it.

"That is enough for now Arceus, I choose you Togekiss." Zoa said, and returned his Pokemon, while calling out another one.

Once the Pokemon emerged from within the Pokeball, she did a quick body dance in the air. She was certainly not one to be shy about herself. The Drilbur in the meantime, simply stared back at the Togekiss expressionless. I had expected it to attack the Togekiss immediately, but it was either waiting for its opponent to make her first move, or simply too tired to even move.

Sorry, I've been busy with my English class. >.< It's almost over.

    ---

"Togekiss, let's do a combination of Ancientpower and Silver Wind. Make it a spectacle and juggle that Drilbur!"

Togekiss angled itself slightly towards the ceiling as it flapped its large wings. It seemed as though Togekiss was concentrating its powers towards the roof of the cave. The ceiling between Togekiss and Drillbur began to tremble. Then several boulders shot out of the ceiling, they were at least 1 foot in diameter, if not larger. The rocks zoomed around the cave, but found their way to focus on the target.

If the attack is successful, the following would happen. One of the boulders hit Drilbur right in its abdomen and took it off its feet and into the air. Then another boulder made its way under Drilbur and forced itself up and sent Drilbur higher into the air. Then it became a cycle. After one boulder hit Drilbur, another came under under it and juggled it in the air like a toy ball. It was like watching some sort of circus performance.

"What an entertaining performance, Togekiss. Everyone is watching, me, our ranger, and even Alakazam. Keep going."

Then Togekiss flapped her wings and a gust started streaming towards the airborne Drilbur. The wind was shimmering, full of bug-related powders. The Silver Wind, like the Ancientpower, hit Drilbur from under it. And like the Ancientpower, the Silver Wind shot Drilbur up, and then up again as it neared the ground. Then the two attacks started alternating keeping the Drilbur up. The Silver Wind hit Drilbur upwards, and then an Ancientpower did the same, and then the new cycle repeated. It was like watching some sort of twisted water fountain show, except instead of water, it was rock and wind. The boulders and wind began moving faster, and soon then left beautiful loops and shapes in the air as they harmed the Drilbur.

"Okay Togekiss. If we plan to catch this toy, it would help to paralyze it. Drilbur is a Ground type, however it seems more of a Flying type right now! :naughty: Go for a Thunder Wave before letting go of your Ancientpower and Silver Wind; aim right at its pink, fleshy nose."

An electric charge seemed to have been statically built into the ruffled feathers of Togekiss as a thin bolt of electricity was produced from Togekiss's wings. As it came out, it started to form a zigzag shape. The strand of electricity ended, but then another strand was produced, and then another, and then another. Soon there were several strands of electricity, each shorter than the last. The strands then bended to form a sort of arch. They were arranged in a way that looked like wifi [IMG] icon. The formation levitated towards the face of Drilbur, still being juggled in the air.

"Togekiss, let's do a combination of Ancientpower and Silver Wind. Make it a spectacle and juggle that Drilbur!" Zoa proceeded with another command.

The Togekiss immediately angled itself slightly towards the cave ceiling while flapping its wings vigorously. Suddenly, it started to tremble and within seconds, several boulders dropped out of the ceiling and blasted themselves towards the Drilbur like dart missiles. As the different boulders all flew towards the Drilbur in different directions, I noticed that the Drilbur started to curl up again. It started to spin like before - it must have been hoping to deflect the rocks with Rapid Spin.

"What an entertaining performance, Togekiss. Everyone is watching, me, our ranger, and even Alakazam. Keep going."

But before that could happen, it seemed like Drilbur was about to perform its attack first. I looked on excitedly as the rocks came into contact with the Drilbur, but once they impacted, the rocks didn't simply get deflected. It might not have been Rapid Spin... Once the rocks came into contact with the Drilbur's spinning motion, each and every of them became outlined in a neon-blue and was blasted back at the Togekiss - each boulder was now faster and more violent than before. I had recognized it as a Rock Slide maneuver.

Togekiss had no time to dodge at all, and was pummeled by the damaging Rock Slide. It was not about to slow down however. It quickly got back up and flapped her wings, shaping up a streaming line of gusts that swept towards Drilbur. The wind shimmered; full of shiny powders, and the Drilbur was clearly taken back this time. It had not expected the Togekiss to react that fast, and the damage had even multiplied slightly, considering that Drilbur was already spinning before the attack took place. The impact of the attack forced Drilbur to lose its standing and get caught in the middle of a tornado-like storm; created by the Silver Wind.

"Okay Togekiss. If we plan to catch this toy, it would help to paralyze it. Drilbur is a Ground type, however it seems more of a Flying type right now! Go for a Thunder Wave before letting go of your Ancientpower and Silver Wind; aim right at its pink, fleshy nose."

Zoa had called for a Thunder Wave. I wasn't sure if it would even work, considering that Drilbur was a Ground-type Pokemon. It had aimed for Drilbur's pink, fleshy nose, which was definitely a good command, but still... I watched as the weak electric coils swam towards the Drilbur, and levitated towards the face of the Drilbur. The Thunder Wave then hit its nose and for a while, it had seemed that paralysis had really gotten to it, but it simply shook it off a few seconds later. With the concentration needed of Thunder Wave, Togekiss finally broke off its controls over the Silver Wind out of temporary tiredness, and Drilbur fell to the ground helplessly.

Heck, if it was a Grass-type, that Thunder Wave would have certainly worked. Though, the Drilbur was so tired now, that I think capturing it even without a status would be easy enough.

"I think it's ready for a capture any time now!" I chimed in.

lol, I remember someone telling me it's easier to paralyze Pokemon in the air, but I forgot they said it was for Grass types. Derp!

"Togekiss, don't worry, this is almost over." Zoa said as his ranger told him the mole was ready to be caught

Zoa searched his backpack for the appropriate capturing device. He grabbed out a Super Ball, the same kind of ball he had used before to catch Gligar. He pressed the button on the ball to increase it to its working size and readied his arm for the throw. With one fluid motion Zoa released his arm like a catapult and the ball flew over his tired Togekiss and towards the Drilbur. The fate of the Drilbur was indeterminable, for now...

"Can you see them anywhere, Broadblade?" I asked my Staraptor as we glided through the air over Mount Deckbi. He liked flying in this area because the heat rising off of the plains around the mountain allowed him to glide almost effortlessly.

<No, I cannot,> Broadblade replied, speaking directly into my mind. Broadblade was a special Staraptor - his Hidden Power had recently been awoken, and it was a Psychic-typed one. This allowed him to speak into my mind, much like Dual and Specialle.

I looked at my PDA, which was currently running some GPS software. A red blip that denoted me was flashing right next to a green dot, which was where Ataro was supposedly located. Despite this, I couldn't see him at all. I nudged Broadblade's flank with my right knee and he began circling towards the ground. Just before we hit the hard compacted dirt, he flared his wings and returned to his PokeBall, which had the effect of ghosting me through him and onto the ground. We'd found it was a much easier way to land than me dismounting normally.

I held out my PDA and looked around - Ataro was supposedly 6 metres to my left, but the only thing occupying that area was a small cluster of rocks. That's when it hit me - Ataro must be underground!

A white light flashed as I released my Dusknoir, Specialle. She greeted me with a low moaning sound that I knew to be her standard happy tone. When she was upset, her speech was much deeper.

"Hey Specialle, Ataro is somewhere below us, I need you to phase us down to find him," I said.

Specialle nodded and took my hand in her large gray ones. We began to sink down through the sand and rock, which was always an interesting (if not completely enjoyable) experience. We sank down through the rock and after a couple of minutes I felt my legs emerge into an air pocket. As soon as my eyes cleared the rock, I saw Ataro and his Trainer watching a Super Ball wiggling on the ground. Specialle lowered me onto the ground and then returned herself - she didn't usually like being around people she doesn't know.

I walked over and tapped Ataro on the shoulder, handing him a slip of paper. He glanced across it and nodded before turning to leave. I focused on the Super Ball just as it flashed a red light and made a ding sound.

"Congratulations on your capture," I said as I walked over and picked up the ball. "My name is Chainy and I'll be taking over. What's your name?"

And then Zoa sent out Arceus and used Judgment on everything. He was destroying the National Park.
