Individual RP; Mubz

NBP

Talon let out a sigh as he leant back in his chair, bored since nothing was really going on. The park was reasonably quiet right now. He was brought out of his thoughts by a machine bursting to life, and his head turned to look at the fax machine, where a trainer report had just come through, and he rushed to his feet.

The maroon-wearing ranger, wearing clothes quite unique compared to usual rangers, grabbed the report quickly, and read it quickly. The trainer had a nice team set up, and his eyes widened as he saw they were going to Mt. Oktori. The blasted mountain was incredibly perilous recently, with the rocks having been quite worn by tough winds, rain, and then long sunshine over time. The trainer also had an interesting name. Mubz.

Talon moved over to the computer, and tapped some buttons, six Pokeballs materialising in front of him, and he picked them up, placing them on his belt. He needed a team suited to Mt. Oktori, and his team was definitely suited. He grabbed the satchel that would be used to contain any Pokeballs, and slung it over his shoulder and went over to a large structure in the room, and stepped inside it. A bright flash of light erupted, and he found himself at the gate that lead to Mt. Oktori, and smiled. The transport system definitely helped things pass by a lot quicker.

Talon glanced down the pathway, squinting as he tried to make out whether the trainer was coming up the path, the sun rising just over the path, making it very hard to see as the light erupted over the ragged dirt path. Talon always liked getting an early start to his runs as that meant that they could encounter Pokemon that didn't usually appear around the rest of the day.

Mubz was not enjoying his first chance to explore the National Park. Having to wake up early was the main cause, and he was in a foul mood as he got ready and left his home. He was wearing his usual clothes a black T-shirt and jeans with trainers. He also had his Pokeballs with him, which he had withdrawn from the PC last night. It was reassuring to know that he had the Pokemon to counter whatever he would encounter there.

When Mubz arrived, his mood changed instantly. He thought the National Park was magnificent with the different habitats and environments in such a small area. He had decided to explore Mt. Oktori on his first visit, but he was regretting it already. The gargantuan mountain looked menacing on the far horizon. He could make out rocks that littered the path to the top and he suddenly wished he had worn something warmer.

Mubz arrived at the path that led to the Mt. Oktori gate. The path was rocky and steep, and Mubz wondered why they didn’t just pave it down. The sun was still breaking over the horizon behind him, and Mubz could now see what he assumed to be his Ranger. The sun shone brightly today, and the Ranger, which he presumed to be male, was lit up like a torch and it was near impossible to make anything out apart from the outline of his figure. He managed to get up to the gate where his Ranger was waiting for him. Now he could see that he was wearing clothes that were decidedly odd. Mubz decided not to probe further. “Hi I’m Mubz.”

 

NBP

"Hi I'm Mubz." a voice spoke up, and Talon turned to look at the figure, offering a smile to the trainer.

"Greetings, I am Talon, and I shall be escorting you through Mt. Oktori on this fine day." Talon introduced himself. "I like to start things off so bright and early so we can get to meet the early Pokemon that are harder to find at a time such as now."

Talon turned around, and led Mubz towards Mt. Oktori, his eyes scanning their surroundings carefully, as it was his job to keep an eye out for any Pokemon.

"I hope you enjoy your day here in the park Mubz." Talon smiled, and he stopped walking when he saw a small shape come lumbering out of the bushes on their left.

It was a small Pokemon, its skin grey in colour, with three rugged creamy fin-like features on the top of its head, and its eyes were a crimson red. Talon recognised it instantly. It was a Machop.

"You want to catch it?" Talon asked, turning to look at his trainer, a smile on his face.

"Greetings, I am Talon, and I shall be escorting you through Mt. Oktori on this fine day”. The Ranger replied. "I like to start things off so bright and early so we can get to meet the early Pokemon that are harder to find at a time such as now."

At least Mubz now had a reason for getting up early, and he hoped the discomfort it had caused him would pay off in the acquisition of rare Pokemon. Or at least, that was the theory. Talon turned around and led Mubz towards the foot of Mt. Oktori. While most of the mountain was barren and rocky, this part had a few bushes. He noticed Talon scanning the bushes, and decided to do so as well. "I hope you enjoy your day here in the park Mubz”. Talon said, his eyes never leaving the bushes as they continued along to Mt. Oktori.

Something rustled the leaves up ahead, and a figure appeared from behind a bush. It looked almost like a human teenager, except it was grey and incredibly muscular. It was a Machop.

"You want to catch it?" Talon asked. Mubz thought about it. True, Machop were common and he would probably see one again, but he felt it was important to at least get a capture done so he could gain some experience.

“Yeah I’ll go for it” He replied. Mubz reached for his Pokeballs and grabbed the one he was looking for. “Time to party. Go Dragonite!” He threw the Pokeball in the air as it opened and a bright light shone out of it, which materialised into a Dragonite. Dragonite was all business, and stared down its foe.

“Ok paralyse it with Thunder Wave, Dragonite!” Dragonite focused as sparks began forming around the antennae on his head. It suddenly burst forward in one line, heading straight for Machop.

 

BP

Mubz was eager to battle the Machop, even though it was quite a common Pokemon here at Mt. Oktori. His large Dragonite came into view, and Talon was eager to see how the battle would go. Machop instantly placed itself into a battle stance. Large sparks of electricity erupted from Dragonite, and surged towards the Machop.

The Fighting-type didn't have the time to avoid the electricity, but it made an attempt, leaping to one side, the Thunderwave slamming into its left leg. Sparks of electricity spiralled around its left leg, and it landed with a slight thud, struggling to move its left leg due to the electricity.

Machop charged forward with amazing speed, amazing because it had a paralyzed leg. It leapt forwards, slamming its right arm, which was glowing maroon, into the side of Dragonite. Machop then raised its arm, as if it were going to karate chop Dragonite, and swung its arm down.

Machop tried to dodge the attack, but the Thunder Wave still managed to hit its left leg. Sparks of electricity covered his leg. Machop fell with a thud, his leg apparently paralysed.

Machop then sprung forward at incredible speed, which was surprising considering its leg was paralysed. It moved so fast Mubz didn’t get a chance to react and Machop managed to get in a Karate Chop. Machop raised his arm again but Mubz had made a decision.

“Block with Fire Punch Dragonite! They fly skywards to get away and Dragon Dance!” Mubz ordered.

 

BP

Mubz's Dragonite moved quickly into action, its fist erupting into a fierce spiral of flames, which crashed into the Karate Chop of the Machop. The two battled fiercly, trying to get the upper hand over the other, and this lasted for several moments, before the Dragonite lifted into the air, breaking off from the deadlock, and the Karate Chop clipped the leg of Dragonite, nearly causing it to lose its balance and topple to the ground, but it managed to stay afloat, rising out of range of the grey fighting-type Pokemon.

Black orbs began spiralling around the Dragonite, crimson blobs on the top, and they sped up in their spiral, cyan sparks erupting from them and coursing into the Dragonite's body, before the orbs disappeared as did the sparks, a faint aura encasing the Dragonite's body, and it awaited the next command from its trainer. The Machop wasn't one to wait, and placed its arms pointing away from it, a thin layer of light coming into view between it and the Dragonite, and when the Machop moved, so did the barrier, before the thin barrier disappeared from view.

The Machop then placed itself in a stance, waving its hand, and opening a small hole in the Light Screen, and unleashed a burst of flames which flew through the air, and slammed into Dragonite's body. The hole then snapped shut as the crimson flames cascaded upon the orange dragon's body. The Machop could no longer move now, its leg erupting as the sparks increased in strength, but that wouldn't really matter, since it could still use ranged attacks, and since it had just used a Flamethrower, it was presumable that it knew others.

The Fire Punch collided with the Karate Chop, and Dragonite and Machop struggled as they tried to force each other back. Eventually Dragonite flew up to try and get away, but Machop clipped it on its ascent, and nearly sent it plummeting, but Dragonite got away. Dragonite began using Dragon Dance, and black and red spheres appeared around him and started circling, becoming faster and faster until cyan sparks appeared and began crackling around him. The sparks grew and reached their climax, before disappearing along with the orbs, leaving a faint aura around Dragonite, who was awaiting his next command.

Machop was not as drawn into the mystical move as Mubz had liked it to be, and was holding its arms in front of itself as a faint barrier appeared. Machop then parted his arms along with the Light Screen, and released powerful flames that went straight for Dragonite and hit it head on. The Screen closed but Machop was unable to do much now as the sparks on his leg strengthened.

Mubz cursed under his breath. Although he had got the Dragon Dance he wanted to power up, Dragonite had taken a lot of damage and Machop had more moves than first expected. He didn’t want Dragonite to take anymore damage, and decided to end this battle.

“Use Thunder maximum power to break the Light Screen” Mubz cried, and Dragonite began charging, much like the Thunder Wave, but with more power. “Once the Screen is down, use Extremespeed to get close to Machop, and hit it with Hyper Beam!” Dragonite's eyes flew open and roared out loud, as numerous powerful bolts of electricity were released from its body and charged towards Machop.

Mubz just hoped he had done enough, and that Machop didn’t have anymore tricks up its sleeve.

 

BP

The electricity surged towards the Light Screen, and crashed into the barrier, the electricity rebounding across the barrier. Loud cracking split the air as the barrier exploded, and the electricity collided with the body of the Machop, the electricity surging across its body. The Dragonite then shot forward at rapid speed, but Machop unleashed a second plume of flames which scorched the side of Dragonite, but it remained unwavered, and slammed into the Machop at the immense speed, sending the grey fighting-type flying backwards, and it crashed into a tree.

A massive white beam protruded from the mouth of the orange dragon, and shot towards the Machop, which had no time to move since its left arm was embedded in the bark of the tree, and the Machop was engulfed by the Hyper Beam, which vaporised the tree, the upper half collapsing to the ground. Several trees were scorched badly by Hyper Beam. The smoke cleared, and the Machop limped forwards, the electricity still circulating across its body, causing it to have paralysis all over, though it still managed to walk. It looked pretty weak currently, ripe for the capture.

The Thunder attack raced towards Machop, and it collided with the Light Screen, creating a deafening crack as it broke through and hit Machop. Dragonite raced towards Machop, ready to strike, but Machop was apparently unfazed by the Thunder, and released another Flamethrower into Dragonite’s side. Dragonite kept going and slammed into Machop and sent him flying into a tree.

Dragonite roared and released what looked like a beam of pure light from his mouth. The Hyper Beam crashed into the Machop who couldn’t dodge because his arm was stuck in the tree. The Beam obliterated half of the tree and scorched numerous more behind it. Dragonite sighed and began panting. The attacks had taken a lot out of him and he needed to recharge after that massive Hyper Beam. Mubz hoped Dragonite’s work was done as he waited for the smoke to clear.

The smoke cleared and Mubz saw what he did not want to see. The Machop was limping forward, clearly having taken a lot of damage, but still able to walk. Mubz glanced at Dragonite. It was still recovering and would be unable to protect itself from any attacks, and so Mubz went for his belt for his Pokeball, about to recall it, when he saw the sparks all over Machop’s body. The Thunder attack had spread the electricity all over his body, strengthening the paralysis.

Mubz smiled, and reached for a different Pokeball. He grabbed an empty Park Ball, and hurled it at Machop. The ball spun in the air as it arced gracefully towards Machop.

 

NBP

The trainer quickly moved to unleash a Parkball, and the ball connected with the body of the Machop, and sucked it into the ball. The red and white sphere landed on the ground with a thud, and began wobbling one, and then twice, before coming to a stop, a resonating click filling the air.

Talon stepped forward, picking up the Parkball and placing it in the satchel he was carrying, and turned with a smile to look at his trainer.

"Nice job there, Mubz." Talon congratulated the teen. "Right, You obviously want to continue in the park, so follow me."

Talon led the teenager further down the path, the mountain becoming inclined, and the weather began to go cold instantly. Talon shivered slightly, and was startled as a white shape materialised in front of him, and he stared in shock. It was a fricking Frosslass.

"You want to catch it?" Talon asked, smiling as he looked at the teenager.

The Pokeball hit Machop and he was sucked inside the ball. The ball landed as a small light began pulsating on it while it wiggled on the ground. After the third wiggle it stopped, and the light dimmed.

Mubz stood there, stunned. It had certainly been a lively introduction to his first ever time in the National Park, and as he managed to regain control of his body he could still feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He had never felt such a thrill, and he loved every second of it. He didn’t even realise Talon had already picked up the ball containing Machop and placed it in his bag, safe for when Mubz wanted to leave.

“"Nice job there, Mubz." Talon congratulated Mubz. "Right, you obviously want to continue in the park, so follow me." This broke Mubz out of his trance and he managed to calm down enough to nod in agreement. As Talon walked away, leading him towards the mountain, Mubz walked up to Dragonite, who was now waiting for an instruction.

“Good job you did there, Dragonite,” Mubz said. “You did well.” Dragonite made a grunt of approval and smiled slightly. Mubz pulled out his Pokeball and recalled it. He hoped Dragonite wouldn’t be needed anytime soon as he jogged to catch up with Talon.

Mubz caught up as the path became inclined. The temperature dropped immediately as the air became frigid. His teeth started chattering and as he was thinking of ways of ways to stay warm he nearly walked into the back of Talon, who had stopped in the middle of the Path. He took a step back to reveal a Froslass in front of him, smirking. "You want to catch it?" Talon asked, smiling as he looked at Mubz.

Mubz knew Froslass would be as hard as hard can be to catch, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if he walked away without even trying. “Oh yes” He said, full of excitement. He thought about the best way to battle Froslass. Dragonite had a serious weakness to Ice and was already hurt, and Swampert wouldn’t be able to do any real damage. Apart from that though, any one of his Pokemon could take Froslass on, and Mubz knew the perfect one to.

“Time for battle, Tyranitar!” he yelled as he hurled the ball in the air. It opened at the gigantic rock dinosaur landed heavily on the path. It roared, hoping to scare the Pokemon.

“Ok, startle it with screech and then while its busy Dragon Dance!” Mubz instructed, hoping by battling tactically this battle wouldn’t be as difficult as the last battle turned out to be.

 

BP

Mubz's Tyranitar erupted onto the path, and let out a roar in an attempt to scare the Froslass, but it was not fazed at all. In fact, the Froslass began laughing at the Tyranitar, and unleashed a burst of sharp cyan crystals which shot forward, cascading upon the Tyranitar's body. The Tyranitar let out a screech, and the Froslass shuddered slightly, before letting out a cackle, and summoned a icy wind of snow from its arms, which slammed into the Tyranitar, small speckles of snow were splattered across the Tyranitar's skin, causing it to shiver madly, however it surpassed the cold, as small black orbs began floating around it, with red blobs on the top, and cyan sparks erupted from the orbs, cascading into the body of the Tyranitar, and it looked much stronger than before.

However, the Froslass wasn't one to wait, and giggled crazily, floating forward, and producing a slap to the Tyranitar's face, and Talon recognised it as Wake-Up Slap, which would be absolutely deadly to a Tyranitar if it was asleep. The Froslass floated back to where it had originally been, and stared at the Tyranitar, awaiting its next move.

Froslass laughed at the Tyranitar and sent small crystals slamming into him, which shattered on impact, spraying shards everywhere. Tyranitar replied as his trainer had asked, with Screech, and Mubz saw Froslass shudder from the harsh sound. Froslass regained its composure and cackled loudly, a sound that sent a shiver down Mubz’s spine. Or maybe that was the cold, he wasn’t sure. Froslass continued on the offensive and raised its arms as it summoned an icy wind which rammed into Tyranitar, covering him in snow and causing him to shiver. However Tyranitar managed to control himself and calmed as black and red orbs materialized and circled, faster and faster until the cyan sparks appeared, much like when Dragonite used Dragon Dance, but while that left Dragonite with an aura and a sense of serenity, it made Tyranitar look even more terrifying. Mubz just hoped it would be able to deal the sort of damage that it looked capable of.

Froslass wasn’t having any of it, and giggled as it floated towards Tyranitar. Mubz wasn’t really sure if that Froslass was demented or not, or whether it was just freakishly enjoying the battle. She came up to the green dinosaur and slapped him hard on the face, which appeared to do serious damage. It floated back gracefully to where it began, and stared down Tyranitar.

Mubz felt like kicking himself. After all that time deliberating over which Pokemon would battle Froslass, he has chosen one which, in hindsight, wasn’t the best option. Mubz tried to clear his thoughts. This wasn’t helping. He focused on the positives. Tyranitar had successfully used both Screech and Dragon Dance, and so even if Froslass hadn’t taken any damage, it wouldn’t be too difficult to hit Froslass really hard.

Mubz still needed to be wary of Froslass though. That Wake-Up Slap could be painfully damaging if she managed to land another hit, so Mubz decided to keep her at a distance, where Tyranitar would be out of reach.

“Alright Tyranitar, hit it with Stone Edge, and don’t hold up until she’s down!” Tyranitar complied, as several blue rings began circling his body. They slowly turned into white as they span faster and faster. Tyranitar’s eyes became red, and the rings turned into sharp, brown coloured stones. Tyranitar roared in rage and the stones shot forward like bullets out of a machine gun, aiming straight for Froslass.

The Tyranitar unleashed a barrage of rocks, as if it were firing a machine gun. The Froslass unleashed a burst of ice crystals, which shattered the first few rocks, however, the rocks were being fired much faster than the ice crystals, and were much stronger, and overpowered the Froslass, the rocks cascading upon the ice Pokemon. The rocks slammed into its body, and it was flung back into the rocky wall behind it, as several more rocks slammed into it.

The force of the rocks caused several small pebbles to fall from high above, and Talon looked nervously upwards, as did the Tyranitar, as the pebbles became small stones. The Tyranitar stopped firing the rocks, fearful of causing a rockslide that it hurt its trainer, and this opened it up for the Froslass, which had vanished, and materialised behind the Tyranitar, raising its arms, and small beams erupted from its arms, and it disappeared, reappearing several feet in front of the Tyranitar.

The small Hyper Beams swirled around the rock dinosaur for several moments, before zooming towards it. The Tyranitar let out a roar, slamming the small Hyper Beams, and sent them flying back at the Froslass, which was completely shocking, since its trainer had not given it an order to counter the small Hyper Beams. The small beams of white light slammed into the Froslass, and exploded, a massive cloud of smoke enveloping the Froslass, hiding it from sight, which though would of injured the Froslass quite a bit, it put the Tyranitar at a disadvantage since it wouldn't be able to see where the Froslass was.

“Alright Tyranitar, hit it with Stone Edge, and don’t hold up until she’s down!” Tyranitar complied, as several blue rings began circling his body. They slowly turned into white as they span faster and faster. Tyranitar’s eyes became red, and the rings turned into sharp, brown coloured stones. Tyranitar roared in rage and the stones shot forward like bullets out of a machine gun, aiming straight for Froslass.

Froslass attempted to counter the stones by shooting out ice crystals to stop the stones. It worked successfully for the first few stones, but the Stone Edge attack was coming in faster and harder than Froslass could manage, and eventually the barrage broke through the attack and drove her into a rocky wall behind, while Tyranitar continued its bombardment.

Mubz watched in satisfaction as the rocks kept slamming into Froslass, but was surprised when the volley of rocks stopped. He turned towards Tyranitar, and found him and Talon looking up. He followed their gaze up to the cliff over Froslass. A few pebbles fell down, and the cliff didn’t look particularly safe. Tyranitar has stopped in fear of causing the cliff to collapse, it seemed.

This short time had allowed Froslass time to recover, and it vanished into the air and materialised behind Tyranitar, raised its arms, and let loose two beams of light at him, before disappearing again and returning to its original position. The small Hyper Beams circled Tyranitar, before homing inwards. Unfortunately for Froslass, the time before impact had allowed Tyranitar to react and he slammed the Beams, deflecting them towards the Snow Land Pokemon. Froslass let out a cry, shocked that Tyranitar had acted on its own without an instruction from its trainer. The Beams hit Froslass and exploded, causing a white cloud to shroud it. It would have done some damage, but with Tyranitar unable to see, Froslass had the upper hand.

Mubz coughed as the smoke spread. He squinted and could barely make out the green dinosaur, but Froslass could be anywhere due to its colouration. He had an idea, but it was shaky. If Tyranitar used Sandstorm, the tables would be turned, and Froslass would stick out like a sore thumb. However, Mubz had only used it once before, and that was when there was a lot of loose dirt and sand around. On an icy mountain, the ground was frozen solid underfoot and he wondered if the move would even work. True, there was some crushed rock and pebbles around from his previous attack, but he hoped that Tyranitar would be able to add to it in someway.

The smoke had spread but hadn’t thinned. Mubz realised that if Froslass could move as it did after using Hyper Beam, it could well be plotting another plan again. “Ok Tyranitar use Sandstorm, and when you see Froslass again, hit it with Dark Pulse!”

 

BP

Small pebbles began to rise into the air, and swirled around the Tyranitar as more and more small stones joined the ones already in the air. There was no nearby sand, so the pebbles were taking the place of the sand particles. The pebbles licked at the smoke, dispersing it in areas, until it was finally all gone, but the Froslass was nowhere in sight. The Tyranitar glanced from side to side, trying to locate the Froslass, but to no avail.

Suddenly, the wind began to pick up, and snow began to swirl in the air, smashing into the Tyranitar's body. The Blizzard grew more intense, encompassing the Tyranitar, blotting it out from view, as the Froslass came into view, floating in the air. The Tyranitar let out a roar, and several dark pulses of energy erupted from the Blizzard, scattering the snow to the ground, before hurtling towards the Froslass. The pulses of energy slammed into the Froslass and it fell to the floor, struggling to get back up, before slowly floating back up, hovering just above the ground.

“Ok Tyranitar use Sandstorm, and when you see Froslass again, hit it with Dark Pulse!”

Small pebbles trembled around Tyranitar as they rose, as if by invisible strings, into the air. They swirled around as it gained speed and volume, the stones slicing through the smoke, dissipating it. When it was all gone Tyranitar prepared his next move, but Froslass was gone. Mubz and his Pokemon glanced around in unison, searching for the Ghost Pokemon, but it wasn’t in sight.

Mubz thought that Froslass had fled, but before he could utter a word, the snow on the ground began to swirl and the wind blew strongly. The Blizzard strengthened and snow in the air became so thick that Mubz could barely see two feet in front of him, and the temperature plummeted. Through the howling wind, Mubz heard the Froslass cackle, and cried out to Tyranitar.

Tyranitar had heard the cackle too, and unleashed its stored attack. The Dark Pulses slammed through the snow with ease and hit the Froslass hard, forcing it to the ground. It lay there for a second, struggling to rise again, but rise it did, and it floated back, hovering as it always did.

Mubz was freezing, and had barely been able to see any of what happened, though the Dark Pulse attack had allowed him to see through the snow and see that Froslass was indeed injured. He then looked over to Tyranitar, and saw that although it could still battle, it was hurt after taking so many powerful attacks.

“Tyranitar, return” he said as he held out his Pokeball, and red laser shot out and hit the green dinosaur, transforming it into energy form and taking it back into its Pokeball. Mubz clipped it back onto his belt and grabbed the one right next to it and threw it. It opened in midair and let out a shining light, from which a Metagross appeared. The Metagross did not roar and attempt to frighten its opponent, like Tyranitar had done, but stood there awaiting command.

“Metagross, use your psychic attack to trap Froslass then confuse it by speeding around using Agility! After that, hit it with a full power Bullet Punch!”

 

BP

Buzz was settling into his office at the Ranger Headquarters. He had just finished unpacking the last box of supplies when the desk phone rang.

“Hello, this is Buzz speaking,” Buzz said as he picked up the phone. It was a Ranger up in Mount Oktori, there was a howling wind in the background so it was difficult to pick out exactly what was said.

“I….leave….family emergency. Need to… trainer’s run.” The phone responded. Buzz got the general idea and agreed. After putting the phone down, he quickly rushed around his office grabbing everything he thought he would need. He grabbed his Poke Balls which contained his closest friends. As well as his scarf and hat, it got very cold at the peak of Mt. Oktori

“River, come on out!” Buzz said to the ball as he picked up his rucksack that was now full of his supplies. From the red beam of energy that had erupted from the small ball stood a green bird with white and red wings. “I want you to Teleport us to Mt.Oktori there is a Ranger out there that needs us to take over. Which means we get to go on our first run!”

“Xat!” The Pokemon responed cheerfully. With a brilliant flash of green light the Xatu, had transported Buzz to the footpath leading its way up Mt. Oktori.

“Thanks a lot Xatu, here take a rest.” Buzz muttered as he pulled his scarf tight around his neck. He held out the red and white Pokeball once more and Xatu was clipped back to his belt. Buzz looked up and was surprised to see a man that ran at and then passed him.

“Hey, thanks. The trainer is just up this path!” The passing ranger had yelled.

Well I better get up there then, hadn’t I? Buzz put his hands on his pack straps and began to run up the path. The frozen air blasted Buzz’s face as he ran towards the now visible ranger. A giant shadow across the sky had just vanished and formed the usual red energy of a Pokemon returning to its ball. Buzz finally reached the trainer, as he released a Metagross. He introduced himself once he had caught his breath. “Hi, I’m Jonathan, but you can call me Buzz. I’m here to carry on your run through the park.”

Buzz looked around the battle field and saw the Metagross turn into a blue blur whizzing around the unmistakable sight of a Froslass. The ghostly Pokemon appeared to be held in place a purple aura, meanwhile the Metagross span around it still accelerating. Froslass began to glow blue as the purple aura faded and a thick fog formed above the battlefield and great chunks of ice began to fall from the sky.

“Typical, hail. Acherusia, out and use protect to create a shield above me and my trainer to prevent the hail hitting us.” Buzz said as he released his Swampert. The Mudfish Pokemon formed a green shield above their heads which was pounded with hail. Honestly my first adventure through the Park and already being pelted with Hail.

Suddenly Metagross shot, through the Hail that was now smashing against its steel body, forward with both its front arms aimed straight at the Froslass. Buzz knew that Froslass had induced this hail as a means to hopefully make Metagross miss its attacks, unfortunately for the wild Pokemon it did not appear to have worked. The blisteringly fast Bullet Punch struck the white form of Froslass hard onto the ground, throwing vast quantities of pebbles into the air.

As the Froslass hovered back to its stance a pale blue orb formed in front of it, a perfectly spherical ball of ice was hurtled towards the Metagross.

“Metagross, use your psychic attack to trap Froslass then confuse it by speeding around using Agility! After that, hit it with a full power Bullet Punch!”

Froslass suddenly became surrounded by a purple aura as it became immobile. Metagross sped around the Froslass in a circle, accelerating until it was just a blur. The Froslass seemed to be having a difficult time of following it as well.

“Hi I’m Jonathan Busby, but you can call me Buzz. I’m here to carry on your run through the Park”. Mubz turned around, startled to hear someone else’s voice, but Mubz managed to work out that he had been given a new ranger by the fact that his original one was no where in sight. He was about to respond and introduce himself, when a shard of ice fell from the sky and embedded itself into the frozen earth. Mubz looked up and saw a thick fog in the sky, from which more hail was falling. His ranger was sharp though. He brought out his Swampert who used Protect, and the Hail hit harmlessly on the green shield which enveloped them. “Thanks,” Mubz said, before returning his thoughts to the battle at hand.

His Metagross was a blur now, and trying to keep up with it only hurt your eyes. It reminded Mubz of the time he caught Metagross. Of course back then it was a Metang.

“Infernape use Flamethrower” Mubz cried, but the Metang dodged again. Infernape was angry now. The Metang had been toying with them for a while, dodging their attacks and generally being a pain. Once more the Metang began whizzing around them by using Agility. Infernape fired off another Flamethrower in desperation, but it missed again, the flames hitting nothing but air.

“We have to think this through logically!” Mubz shouted, trying to calm him Fire Monkey down. He watched the Metang blur past him, always doing the same thing, coming in from his left, and then going back around from his right. Left to right, left to right…

“Use Flamethrower everywhere in front of you, from right to left!” he yelled, hoping his spark of inspiration would help. Infernape blew out enormous flames, going in the direction his master had asked of him. The Metang was completely taken by this, and went straight into the flames. It came out of the flames disorientated and slammed into a wall hard. Mubz reacted fast, and grabbed a Pokeball from his waist and threw it at the Pokemon.

Metagross suddenly moved forward towards Froslass, so fast that if you blinked you would have missed it. Metagross’s fist slammed into the Froslass, sending it onto the ground. It managed to get back up, and sent a ball of ice racing towards Metagross.

Unfortunately for Froslass, Metagross was far to fast for it. It dodged left with ease, as the Weather Ball sailed harmlessly wide. Mubz realised that Metagross was still taking damage from the Hail. “Iron Defence!” he yelled instinctively, and Metagross glowed white briefly, the Hail now bouncing off Metagross as if no damage was taking place.

“OK Metagross, keep the Psychic attack up, now get close and use a Bullet Ice Punch Combo!”
