To Joe,

If you are not busy, Do you mind taking a trainer to the mountain range of Deckbi? If you agree I have attached the following files and which you will need including the trainer's information and a map where there are some really interesting Pokemon. However there has been a problem as the Sandshrew colony has begun to move location due to a rock slide that happened later on this week. I hope you have a swell time and enjoy your run.

The room was empty, the sound of the fan blowing through the air created a small noise. The printer had been left on and the green light was flashing indicating the work was done however there was no paper on the other side. The door was wide open so the gentle breeze of the fan could spread through the building. The read email was open on the screen indicating someone was here and left within a minute.

The janitor looked into the office and cursed before slowly plodding down the hallway towards the next office.

Meanwhile outside Joe was happy that he was going to Mt. Deckbi. The last time he went there was when he went on a run with a ranger called Buzz. Joe sat on some picnic benches wait anxiously for his trainer. In Joe's hands was a couple of white pieces of paper with the trainers infomation. The gentle wind blew the paper from side to side

I was taken to my designated area where I would meet my ranger before being my trip through Mt. Deckbi, I liked this time that I had before my trip began because it gave me a chance to think of stuff, such as what Pokemon I could encounter

I was very excited about this trip, I had only been to the park once before and that was to the Great Lakes, a trip that I very much had enjoyed.

But the real reason that I was looking forward to this trip was because Fire and Ground Pokemon were some of my favorite types.

When I arrived I saw only one person waiting outside and figured they must have been my ranger. "Hello there you must be my ranger." I said happily "My name is Eric and I am looking forward to this run."

 

Joe looked into the distance and saw a black silhouette figure walk closer to him. As the person got closer, Joe could his hair and body posture, it looked like this person was relaxed. As the person got closer, Joe slowly got up from the picnic bench and walked closer to the shaded figure. As Joe got closer he could pick out that he was a boy and looked prepared to go through the park.

"Hello there you must be my ranger." He said happily "My name is Eric and I am looking forward to this run."

"Hi, My name is Joe and your correct I will be your ranger. Currently the transport mechanism is down but I do have a backup plan. Ever teleported before?" Joe asked as he looked straight into the trainers eyes.

Before the trainer could answer a small red Pokeball fell out from his pocket and a large clay doll like Pokemon appear. Joe looked surprised and said, "This is Dollface, my Claydol. So Eric ready to go?"

"Hi, My name is Joe and your correct I will be your ranger. Currently the transport mechanism is down but I do have a backup plan. Ever teleported before?" Those were the first words out of my rangers mouth, but before he gave me a chance to answer he took out a Pokeball and from that came a Claydol.

"That's a nice looking Claydol" I said to Joe. "And to answer your question, no I've never teleported before but it certainly sounds interesting."

Joe asked me if I was ready to go "Yes I'm ready to go. So do I just put my hand on Claydol or is being by it enough to be teleported?" I asked never being teleported before

 

"Yes I'm ready to go. So do I just put my hand on Claydol or is being by it enough to be teleported?" Eric replied. Joe smiled and nodded and walked over to the Claydol.

"Place your hand on the head of the Claydol and shut your eyes. Do not open them during the trip as you can suffer from a very annoying headache" Joe said and placed his hand on Claydol. He watched as Eric followed his movements and placed his hand on the clay doll.

"Teleport use to Mt. Deckbi" Joe said to the Claydol, and within seconds the Claydol began to glow purple and suddenly disappeared. Joe couldn't see anything because last time he opened his eyes he had a massive headache, not what you want on your first time.

Joe felt the ground below him and smiled and opened his eyes. The mountain range ahead of him was quiet a sight. Some people say the higher you go, the more rarer the Pokemon are. Joe slowly walked ahead before being stopped small camel Pokemon. It was a Numel and evolved into a strong bulky Camerupt. Joe turned to Eric and asked if he wanted to battle this strong little Pokemon.

"Place your hand on the head of the Claydol and shut your eyes. Do not open them during the trip as you can suffer from a very annoying headache" Joe instructed me as we got ready to teleport to Mt. Deckbi

I made sure to do exactly as he said, and keep my eyes closed as we teleported away. I didn't feel like going through this entire park run with a massive headache, which would have kept my from thinking straight

When we finished teleporting I ran into a Numel, at which point Joe asked me if I wanted to face it. "Camerupt is a nice Pokemon, but I currently have no interest in a Numel or Camerupt so I'll pass on this and would like to continue on."

"OK well look's like we should go" Joe said as he continued to walk towards the path which snakes round the Mountain, making it easier to reach the peak. Joe turned to Eric and asked "What Pokemon are you looking for, it says on your profile Fire and Ground Pokemon, but what Pokemon exactly?"


As Joe asked the question a heard of Sandshrew appeared in front of them. The dashed down the path making Joe and Eric move out of the way. However towards the back of the group was a small Sandshrew that was limping, it looked seriously hurt. Joe reached into his bag and grabbed a small red bottle. He sprayed the bottle over the Sandshrew. The Sandshrew smiled and slowly got back onto it's feet and walked over to Joe. It scratched its back on Joe's leg before walking over to Eric and waggling it's little tail.

"Well, Want to battle this small Sandshrew?" Joe asked Eric.

After we got away from Numel Joe asked me a question. "What Pokemon are you looking for, it says on your profile Fire and Ground Pokemon, but what Pokemon exactly?"

Before I had time to answer a group of Sandshrew appeared in front of us, and towards the back one of them was injured.

Joe decided to heal the injured Sandshrew and while he did I answered his question from before. "You wanted to know what Pokemon I'm looking for right? Well I'm looking for several such as Growlithe, Vulpix, Ponyta, Aron, Rhyhorn, Gligar, and well there's probably a few others I'd try to catch if we crossed paths with them." I said as Joe finished healing up Sandshrew

The Sandshrew was very happy that Joe healed it, and now that it was healed it lead Joe to ask me if I wanted to battle it. "No thanks, Sandshrew is cute sure, but I'm not interested in one, so I'll have to pass." I said to Joe feeling bad that this little Sandshrew was separated from its group

 

"No thanks, Sandshrew is cute sure, but I'm not interested in one, so I'll have to pass." Eric said as it watched the small Sandshrew run around chasing it's small tail. Then suddenly it stopped and stood up straight on it's hind legs.

"I think we should walk o..." Joe said before being interrupted by the small armored Pokemon. Sandshrew dug his claws into the sand and scooped up some sand. Then it flung the sand towards Eric and Joe's face. Joe tried to swipe away the dust created by the sand attack. It looked like this Sandshrew was more focused on Eric

Before we were able to escape the Sandshrew made sure to stop us. It seemed to be very interested in battling me, unfortunately for it I had no desire to battle or capture it.

"Sigh, I didn't want to have to do this so soon, but may I please buy a Pokedoll so we can continue along the way?" I asked Joe as I reached into my pocket to pull out $500 for the doll.

I felt bad about having to leave the Sandshrew even though it wanted to come with me, but I had other Pokemon on my mind that I wanted to catch

Joe grabbed the cash and searched through his bag for the small inflatable doll. As Joe pulled the doll out Sandshrew's eyes gleamed and started to jump up and down on Joe's leg. Joe smiled before blowing up the inflatable and giving it to the Sandshrew. Sandshrew loved the Sandslash doll and started to dig down in the ground dragging it a long.

Joe carried on walking ahead before noticing a obstructed path ahead, caused by a rock slide. Joe quickly grabbed his map and started to find a different route. Joe suddenly pointed his finger on a spot before noticing a fire at the corner of his map. Joe dropped the map and stamped out the fire before looking around to find the culprit. As Joe scanned the land ahead of him, he noticed a small red Pokemon. The Slugma crawled toward Joe and Eric before producing another fire ball towards the group.

"Wow a Slugma, Want to battle it?" Joe asked Eric

Joe grabbed a Pokedoll and inflated it for the Sandshrew. The Sandshrew seemed to be very happy about getting this doll, and it went on to dig underground with the doll allowing us to pass along.

We continued along the way and found a the path cutoff by a rock slide. Joe grabbed the map to find another way to go but while looking at it he noticed the corner of the map on fire. After putting it out Joe looked for, and found the cause of the fire. It was a Slugma

"Wow a Slugma, Want to battle it?" Joe asked me. "No thanks, I have no interest in battling this Slugma so I'd like to continue along if possible."

 

"No thanks, I have no interest in battling this Slugma so I'd like to continue along if possible." Eric replied whilst looking at the Slugma. It must have been a one off because Slugma toddled along and took no notice of Joe and Eric.

Joe to his left and saw a small cave entrance. He slowly squeezed through the hole and looked at amazement of the sheer size crater below them. It must of been created by some Pokemon battling and battling. It was quite a spectacle.

Suddenly Joe heard a noise from below and watched as a huge steel snake coiled it's way through the boulders and rocks. Then erected into the air and faced towards Eric and Joe.

"Umm, I think he wants to battle you" Joe said underneath his breath.

IC: The Slugma paid no attention to me and Joe and allowed the two of us to pass by without any trouble which was nice.

Joe saw a small cave entrance so he went over and stuck his head in the cave to check it out. But when he did that a huge steel snake appeared from the cave. It was a Steelix and it looked angry

"Umm, I think he wants to battle you" Joe said. "Well isn't that nice....haha.." I replied nervously

"If at all possible I'd rather not battle this Steelix. I'd rather capture an Onix first and train that for my Pokedex." I said trying to stay calm. "So if we can't run away from this Steelix than I would like to buy a Pokedoll." I said sticking my hand in my pocket in case I needed to pull out some money

Joe nodded and tried to think of a way to get past this huge Steelix. Joe suddenly thought of a plan and grabbed a Pokeball and chucked it against the ground. A large clay Pokemon appeared in front of the large Steelix.

"Claydol I need you to put a idea in Steelix mind, make up something crazy while we escape" Joe said telepathically to Claydol. Claydol nodded and hovered over to Steelix.

"Right Eric, time to go" Joe said as he pulled Eric arm and leaded him out of the cave. Moment's later Claydol appeared again and said to Joe "Alright I told him there was a rave down at Rocky Beach"

Joe laughed before turning to Eric, however Joe noticed a large steel figure behind Eric's head. Suddenly the large figure gave a huge roar.

"Eric, Want to take a step back from that Aggron? and maybe battle it?" Joe inquired.

"Thanks to Joe's Claydol we were able to escape Claydol with ease.

After Steelix left, me and Joe left the cave we were in and Claydol turned to Joe, and suddenly Joe started laughing, for some reason that I didn't know. Once Joe turned his head towards me his expression changed and I heard a loud roar.

"Eric, Want to take a step back from that Aggron? and maybe battle it?" Joe said to me

"Aw jeez, first I run into a Steelix and now I run into an Aggron, what a weird trip through here I'm having." I said laughing to myself while Aggron stood there

"I don't want to have to keep running because what kind of trip would this be if I ran away from everything that I encounter?" I said to Joe who probably wasn't too thrilled that I kept running away from the Pokemon that I encountered.

"I do want an Aggron, but still I think I'll take my chances with running into an Aron instead."

"Just as I did with Steelix I'll already grab $500 for a Pokedoll in case we can't escape." I said to Joe

"Aw jeez, first I run into a Steelix and now I run into an Aggron, what a weird trip through here I'm having." I said laughing to myself while Aggron stood there, "I don't want to have to keep running because what kind of trip would this be if I ran away from everything that I encounter?"

Joe smiled and agreed, battling harder Pokemon's when he could get the chance to battle the pre-evolution form. Aggron looked occupied as it rammed his head into some boulders at the side of the path. Joe advised Eric that they should swiftly walk to the side and head up the path ahead of them. After carefully walking past the Aggron, Joe looked ahead and noticed a sandstorm in the distance. He grabbed his cap and pulled it further down his face to prevent the sand from going into his face. Joe walked past a small boulder and bent down and touched it. To Joe's surprise it was a Geodude who just looked like it woken up, good thing it wasn't angry.

"Want to battle this small tough Geodude?" Joe asked Eric as the sand continued to rage on

Aggron allowed us to pass without trouble while it smashed its head against a few rocks

As we walked on we came across a sandstorm "This is a pretty forceful sandstorm" I said while protecting my face from the sand.

While walking we ran into a Geodude. "Want to battle it?" Joe asked me

"No thanks, I'm not all that interested in owning a Golem" I said while trying not to get sand in my mouth

"Can we continue on and maybe get out of this sandstorm?" I asked Joe while still covering my face from the sand.

"Sure, looks like there is a cave ahead, maybe it there might be another route to take us around the sandstorm" Joe asked as he quickly stormed through the sandstorm. Sandstorm's were quiet frequent around this part due to the large number of ground pokemon.

After reaching the cave, Joe reached into his bag and grabbed a bottle of water and began to slowly drink the cool water. He handed it over to Eric and said, "You should have some water, keeps you hydrated and keeps your brain active and alert"

There was a small noise ahead, like a stampede. Joe quickly whipped his binoculars from his belt and quickly raised them to his eyes. He looked down the lends and saw three brown heads from the ground. He turned to Eric and said, "Do you want to battle a Dugtrio?"

After escaping Geodude Joe led us into a cave to escape the sandstorm.

Joe then heard a noise up ahead and checked it out with his binoculars "Want to battle a Dugtrio?" Joe asked me

"No thanks I could never fit a Dugtrio into my team." I said to Joe "But jeez I hope we run into something I want soon. I guess all I can do though is ask to move on and hope." I said trying to be hopeful

"But should we not be able to escape then I'd like to buy a pokedoll please." I said grabbing some money
