    OOC-Woo! first run started! yay!

    NBP-1

Jack had finally moved into his new office. The first time he came to the park he was ushered off to take over for someone’s run. Now that he was settled in, his desk looked like how his personality was. It was a lazy mess. Papers were piled on the edge of the desk but in a way that it looked like it there had been an attempt to straighten it out at one point. Jack had his feet propped up on his desk and he was leaning back in his chair. In his hand was a vanilla colored folder. He was currently looking over the profile of trainer named Eric. Eric wanted to enter the park and he had been staring at his info for the past 20 minutes. For fifteen of those minutes he had just been staring at it. Five of those minutes were spent actually reading it.

Finally Jack decided enough was enough. He pulled his feet off his desk and his chair leaned forward pushing him up onto his feet. Some of the papers fell onto the floor in the process and he didn’t bother to pick them up. He grabbed his bag and placed the trainer folder into it. He didn’t notice the empty trash can that half the papers should have been placed at. Jack walked towards the main entrance and noticed a few rangers currently doing some paper work. He waved to Chainy and Ivy on his way to the door.

“Alright guys, I’m off on a run, you two have fun with the paperwork.” He said with a smirk and with one hand in his pocket he pushed the door open and went outside.

When he was outside he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pokeball. He threw it in front of him in a half assed sort of way. A dazzling light exploded from the ball and a Yanmega appeared.

“Yo Serenity, looks like we’re going to be headed to the Power Plant today. Gotta go see a guy named Eric and show him around.” He smiled to his pokemon and walked over to her.
“Alright, you remember the way to the Power Plant right?” He said as he hopped onto her back. As if to prove her point she took off as soon as he was prepared and flew off in the direction of the power plant. As lazy as he was he wanted to beat Eric there.

The trip took a little bit but they finally made it to their destination. The Power Plant was as beaten and run down as ever, but he could still feel the electricity in the air.

“Thanks for the ride Serenity” And with that, he returned her. He then tossed out a second ball and this time a Froslass materialized from the ball.

“Hey Tali, ready to come with me on this run?” He asked once again with a smile. She smiled back in agreement.

“Cool, now all we have to do is wait for Eric to show up. Should be nice…”

    So they waited…

OOC: At the bottom of my post where I introduce myself, and then go on to pause for you to introduce yourself, I figured it'd make sense to do the pulling out of the PokePlayer in this same post with you having introduced yourself before doing so rather than making a whole nother post for your introduction and me taking out the player.

IC: "So you excited for this run through the Abandoned Power Plant Ambipom?" I said to my Ambipom, who turned to me and nodded, as we headed off to meet my ranger for the run.

Before any of my runs through any area in the park began I would always think what sort of Pokemon I would encounter, and which of them I would like to capture. Most of my runs would always end early, and usually with me only leaving with one Pokemon caught. This however wasn't the case when I went on my last run through Mt. Oktori, I was able to capture three Pokemon, and seeing as how you could only leave with three I willing left early. This time around though I kind of felt like sticking through this entire run, and seeing everything I could capture.

I normally don't travel with one of my Pokemon out of its ball, but this time I felt like keeping Ambipom out to keep me company since it was not only my favorite Pokemon, but was also like a pet to me.

"Looks like we're almost there Ambipom, good I'm eager to get this run started with, I've been waiting a long time to go Porygon hunting," I said out loud as I started to think to myself about. I first saw Porygon when I was only eight years old, and ever since then I was a big fan of both it, as well as Normal-type Pokemon. A few years later it was discovered that Porygon could evolve into a new Pokemon called Porygon2, this only made my liking of Porygon grow more. This however was not the end of Porygon yet though as Porygon was once again shown to have another evolution in its family a few years later, this time it was for Porygon2, it had become known by Pokemon researchers that Porygon2 could evolve into a Porygon-Z. This made Porygon not only one of the rarest, and most sought out Pokemon in the world, but it also made it one of the most powerful Pokemon in the world. I wanted one and was hoping I could come across one during this run.

Ambipom and myself continued to walk for a few more minutes before reaching the designated area where someone was standing in front of with a Froslass by his side, I figured they were my ranger.

"Hello, my name is Eric, and this is my little buddy Ambipom," I said to the ranger as I introduce him to Ambipom, and myself, then paused as I waited for this man to reply.

"Say once we get started I have this voice disc I'd like to use," I said as I pulled my PokePlayer out of my backpack, and I reached to grab a voice disc. "No, that's the Litwick voice disc I'm saving for a later time...ah there's the Porygon voice disc," I said as I pulled it out, and placed it in the PokePlayer ready to activate it to see if I would be able to instantly encounter a Porygon.

OOC: To make it less posts and easier I just made it so you used your player already, hope you dont mind, Im sure you wont. :D

    NBP-2

Jack turned to see a trainer coming over with an Ambipom alongside him. Considering there was no one else around that was supposed to be here, he figured this must be the guy.

"Hello, my name is Eric, and this is my little buddy Ambipom," he said to the ranger as he introduce Jack to Ambipom, and himself, and then paused to wait for Jack to reply.

Jack pulled a hand out of his pocket and thrust his thump at his chest.

“Jack.” He said, and then pointed at his Froslass.

“Tali.” He said as he thrusted his thumb at his partner.

“And this is the area were going to be going through today. I hope you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for today and that everything goes how you want it too…” Jack spoke in a slightly bored voice as he spoke in what seemed like a rehearsed speech.

“Well then, now that that’s out of the way…” Jack said and looked up at Eric with a casual smile.

"Say once we get started I have this voice disc I'd like to use.” Eric said to Jack

“Well if you want you can just turn it on right now and see what happens, sometimes pokemon like to roam outside of the power plant too. You never know.” Jack watched as Eric placed the disk in the player, closed it and hit the run button. The cry of a Porygon sounded out around the area and the two of them waited to see if something would happen.

The area stayed calm for a little bit until Jack noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head towards the source which happened to be a section of wall from the plant. A pair of eyes appeared on the wall. Slowly more shapes began to take form and a pokemon took shape. It jumped from the wall and landed a little away from them. It was quite obviously a Porygon that was just camouflaged with the wall. The Porygon was gray right now because the camouflage had not worn off yet. He twisted his head at Eric in curiosity.

“Well would you look at that, you got yourself a Porygon on your first hit. I gotta say, you must be feeling pretty lucky. I take it that means you want to battle and try to catch it?” Jack smiled.

OOC: Yeah I figured you would make it that way, and I'm good with that.

IC: “Well if you want you can just turn it on right now and see what happens, sometimes pokemon like to roam outside of the power plant too. You never know,” Jack said to me as he waited for me to turn the PokePlayer on. I think he was interested to see which voice disc I would be using, though if I had to guess then I'd guess that Jack already knew it was a Porygon voice disc, seeing as how most trainers who come to the Abandoned Power Plant make it a top priority to search for a Porygon, and a lot of them rely on a voice disc.

Porygon's cry could be heard coming out of the PokePlayer throughout the entire surrounding area. We waited for a while to see if the voice disc worked or not, and eventually Jack turned his eyes to a wall where something caught his attention. I followed his actions, and turned my head to the area as well. The eyes were soon seen moving away from the wall, this figure was clearly a Porygon who was gray due to the fact that it had camouflaged itself up against the wall. It twisted its head over to me and Jack, it seemed to be interested in either me, or the cry it heard from the voice disc.

“Well would you look at that, you got yourself a Porygon on your first hit. I gotta say, you must be feeling pretty lucky. I take it that means you want to battle and try to catch it?” Jack smiled as he asked me this even though he already knew the answer.

"Yes, I would be more than happy to battle this, and attempt to capture it. Well what do you say Ambipom, feel like having a battle against this Porygon?" I asked Ambipom, who turned to me with a smile and nodded happily, eager to battle. "Well that settles that then, go get in position Ambipom," I told Ambipom, which then went on the take steps closer to the Porygon.

Porygon-Z was always a challenging Pokemon to face, and I figured that a Porygon was no different. Even though Ambipom was evolved while Porygon was un-evolved I knew it would still be a lot of trouble, similar to how facing a Scyther was still a lot of trouble even though it was un-evolved. Porygon, and its evolutions didn't exactly have one of the widest movepools out there though what it could still learn a lot of powerful varied moves such as Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt, or there respective powered up versions, Blizzard, and Thunder. Despite its somewhat small movepool though Porygon was still sought after because of its tremendous Special Attack, and if that wasn't enough its ability could take its Special Attack even higher than that based on the other Pokemon's stats. I was truly lucky to be encountering one already, and was looking forward to this battle.

Ambipom got into position, and was awaiting my first command. I knew Ambipom would be the perfect Pokemon to use for this battle, because out of the three Pokemon I brought with me it has the most experience when it comes to the Porygon family, and is sure to remember some of its past battles with them. Ambipom also loved a good change, and was also a big fan of facing Normal-type Pokemon because it liked to prove it was stronger than other Normal-type Pokemon.

"All right Ambipom, that's enough waiting, I know you're ready to battle so why don't we begin with one of your signature moves, use Fake Out!" I yelled to Ambipom.

Fake Out was always the way I started out a battle with Ambipom for several reasons, first it was because Ambipom would get STAB from it, second was because its power would be boosted by its ability, Technician, third was because it could only be used on the first turn a Pokemon was out in battle, fourth was because it was an increased priority move, and lastly was because if the attack managed to hit it would make the opposing Pokemon flinch.

Fake Out always looked the same, the user would charge at the target and toss both of its hands back, or in Ambipom's case its tails, and would have them crash into the opponents head, and body dealing damage to the target upon impact. This was no different, once Ambipom heard my command it began to sprint over to Porygon, and tossed both of its tails behind its head as it ran over, and got ready to hit Porygon at full force.

    Ranger Jack Fenix

    -=-=-

Jack and Tali watched as Eric and his Ambipom readied to fight the Porygon whom happened to still be staring at them with curiosity. Finally the CD player had auto stopped after the first cry and the Porygon seemed to snap to attention a little bit.

"All right Ambipom, that's enough waiting, I know you're ready to battle so why don't we begin with one of your signature moves, use Fake Out!" Eric yelled to Ambipom.

Jack watched as the Ambipom charged at the Porygon. The Porygon was able to figure out what was going on and before the attack fell on Porygon. Jack noticed something. Its eyes glowed blue and then faded. Jack smiled to himself and silently applauded Eric’s luck. Jack knew enough about pokemon abilities to know that this Porygon had just ‘traced’ its opponent instead of downloading it.

If the Porygon were to gain an additional special attack boost it would have been trouble for Eric. Luckily, all it did was trace Ambipom’s Technician. Jack couldn’t help but applaud this trainer’s incredible luck so far.

That was all the Porygon was allowed to do, because Ambipom finally made contact with the Porygon. It had stopped in front of the Porygon and swung both of its tails out in front. The two tails came and smacked the pokemon in the sides. The only evidence of pain that the Porygon seemed to show was in its eyes. It squished both of its eyes closed from the pain. Then as Ambipom moved back after its attack, The Porygon didn’t counter with one of its attacks, instead it seemed to hesitate in its next move.

Jack gave a half a smile as he watched the strategy at work. Porygon could do nothing as the attack landed and Jack wondered if Eric was going to take advantage of this hesitation and attack again. He knew however that he wasn’t going to be able to use Fake Out again. This left Jack very curious at what Eric was going to try next.

Jack looked at the Froslass next to him whom he had been friends with for a long time.

“Well? What do you think is gonna happen next hmm?” Froslass turned to him and give him a calm but annoyed look.

“yeah yeah okay, I’ll just let you watch.” Angel said with the biggest smile he had yet this trip.

Fake Out hit Porygon head on, and as always once it made contact with the target it was unable to do a counterattack due to flinching. Porygon showed that it received damage when it instantly shut its eyes after the attack. It seemed to be hesitating before it got ready to come up with an attack. I knew that this was a perfect chance to get in another attack, but I wondered at this point what would be the best attack to use? Would I be better off using an attacking move, or would a non-damaging move be better? I wasn't exactly sure currently, but I knew I wouldn't have a giant window of opportunity to attack Porygon again before it was able to collect its wits. Porygon would no doubt be angry that it was hit to the point that it flinched, and it would no doubt want some revenge on Ambipom.

"I wonder what Porygon plans to do," I said trying to think what moves it could do, if I could guess what move it might have in mind then I would probably have a better idea of what attack I should have Ambipom do. Ambipom knew a lot of great moves it could use on Porygon such as, Brick Break, which Porygon was weak to, then there was always Low Sweep, it was a Fighting-type move that would lower Porygon's speed, and its power would also be boosted by Technician making it more powerful than Brick Break. I thought that I could also always just go with some nice STAB attacks such as Return, or Double Hit. I started to feel that I was already over thinking things though, it was only the second turn of the battle so there was no need for me to try to think of the most powerful attacks to use, I knew I should just take this battle at a nice, and steady pace.

"Now Ambipom, hit Porygon with a Thunder Wave!" I shouted to the purple monkey, who turned around, and nodded, signaling that it knew what it had to do.

A lot of times in battle a trainer wants their Pokemon to use Thunder Wave so they can slow down the opposing Pokemon, giving them a chance to have their Pokemon attack first. My aim was a different one however, I already knew Ambipom was faster than Porygon. The reason I planned to have Ambipom use Thunder Wave was for the other two benefits it gave, one was because once the opposing Pokemon was paralyzed it had a one in four chance of being unable to attack, and the other reason was because it would give the Pokemon I harder chance to escape once I went to capture it, that was what I was after, seeing that Porygon had no chance of escaping when I went to capture it later on.

Ambipom jumped into position, and like always it materialized a small blue ball of energy. Most Pokemon would instantly unleash the Thunder Wave attack from their hands, or mouth, in its pure electric form, but in Ambipom's case it would first make a ball of energy containing the move, and would then toss it in the air, and smack it at the opponent where it would open up on the way there, and give it little time to counteract, it was more of a surprise this way. Ambipom tossed the ball of energy in the air, and smacked it at the Porygon. As the ball began to get close to Porygon it exploded unleashing the electricity from the Thunder Wave that was hidden inside of it, it was always a sight to behold because it always came as a surprise. I couldn't help but wonder what Porygon was going to do now that it had the chance to move.

    Ranger Jack Fenix

    -=-=-

Jack watched Eric contemplate his options. Jack could almost see the gears in Eric’s head spinning.

“Psst, hey Tali, you can almost hear this guy’s brain turn.”

Jack gave a fun smile to his partner. She turned her head towards him and the wind began to kick up a little.

“Okay! Okay! I’ll shut up! Just don’t freeze me!” Jack held both hands out in front of him in a defensive posture. Tali nodded her head and looked back at the combatants.

Eric had just commanded his Ambipom to use a Thunderwave attack. Jack found it interesting how the Ambipom had used the attack and had to give the trainer credit for being able teach his pokemon how to use the move in such a way. Jack watched as the ball flew at the Porygon. The Porygon tried its best to float out of the way of the ball but when it expanded it caught a good deal of the pokemon. The electricity then went through the pokemon. Jack noticed that this ended up leaving the pokemon paralyzed; there was a chance it would hesitate in its attack later on.

This time however Porygon seemed unaffected by being paralyzed and was more than happy to get an attack off on his opponent. In front of the Porygon an orb of energy formed. The orb shifted between red, blue, and yellow colors. After it reached a diameter of about 4 inches the Porygon shot the ball forward and the Porygon recoiled backwards a little from the shot. The Ambipom saw the attack coming and tried to jump out of the way. However Porygon’s impressive special attack made the move fast. It was fast enough that the Ambipom wasn’t able to avoid the whole attack.

The attack hit Ambipom and the ball burst in three different ways. Flame, electricity, and ice seemed to explode from the ball. None of it seemed to effect Ambipom on a secondary level but it did still do damage.

Jack wondered what Eric was going to do next. He was lucky that tri attack hadn’t statused Ambipom, but he couldn’t say he was surprised considering Eric’s luck.

Jack wondered what Eric was going to do next.

The Thunder Wave attack exploded around Porygon, and seemed to wrap around it leaving it paralyzed. The Porygon seemed to have slowed down, however it didn't stop it, or even make it hesitate from firing off an attack in retaliation. Porygon released three balls of energy, each looking similar to Ambipom's Thunder Wave energy ball, and one looking identical to it, and fired it directly at Ambipom. Each of the three balls seemed to resemble a different type, one for fire, one for electric, and one for ice. This was clearly a Tri Attack, an attack in which Porygon was well known for. If it made contact it could either burn, freeze, or paralyze the target, though it was a slim chance of doing so it was still very possible. The three energy balls hit Ambipom dead on, however after all three hit Ambipom stood back up and showed no signs whatsoever of having any status aliments, but it still had been damaged a bit though it didn't seem to be too much damage so that was good.

"Good going Ambipom, nice way to hit Porygon with that Thunder Wave," I yelled at Ambipom, I knew it enjoyed receiving praise, as well as encouragement at any time. Even though Ambipom paralyzed Porygon I was still very concerned, this didn't secure a capture for me by any means, and Porygon was still able to fire off a powerful Tri Attack. The Tri Attack is what concerned me the most currently, even though Ambipom already saw it there was no guarantee that it would be ready for it the next time Porygon used it, and next time Ambipom might not be so lucky. Each of the three status aliments that Tri Attack can cause all cause major problems, if it was paralyze then Ambipom would be in the same boat as Porygon it would be slower and its might not be able to attack, if it was a burn Ambipom would slowly be drained of its health and its attack would also be cut in half, that would be devastating since Ambipom only really knows physical moves, or lastly if it was a freeze then Ambipom would be unable to do anything at all until it thawed, it would just be a sitting duck to all of Porygon's moves. I was lucky this time around that nothing extra happened from the Tri Attack, but I knew that I might not be so lucky next time. I knew that I had to think out my moves accordingly before doing anything.

"Alright Ambipom, its time to show that Porygon how you take control of a situation, and dominate, do so by using Brick Break!" Ambipom seemed to get a grin on its face when it heard me say that, it definitely enjoyed to hear that I felt it could take control of any situation, and overpower any Pokemon, which was true with its movepool Ambipom could indeed overpower nearly any Pokemon if given the chance and could very well take them out. However Ambipom didn't have the highest attack stat so it usually took multiple attacks to do so, but Ambipom did have a high endurance for pain, and could take a hit with the best of them. That's what I loved about my Ambipom it could be offensive or defensive, it didn't really care as long as it was out there battling.

Ambipom stood in position and before I knew it it started to charge over to Porygon with its right tail held behind its head. Brick Break was one of the less flashy moves I've seen, the user of it usually just holds it hand in a karate like chop position, and chops the opponent. In doing so however they would break any barriers the opposing Pokemon had, specifically Light Screen and Reflect. Brick Break could easily be seen as a tactical move for this reason as well as a powerful move due to the fact that it would normally do decent damage to the opponent.

"I wonder how exactly Porygon will deal with coming face to face to a move that it is weak against," I couldn't help but saying that as I watched Ambipom run towards the Porygon. Sure the battle was still young, but this was the first time so far that this Porygon had to deal with a move that it was weak against during it, I know that when that happens to Ambipom it is usually ready with a move like Counter, but since Porygon can't learn Counter I couldn't help but wonder what it would do in a situation like this one.

Jack watched as Eric began to work things out in his head again, he looked next to him to see his Froslass but this time, Jack decided not to say anything. He smiled at his partner and placed his hand on her head. Jack turned back to the battle going on.

He turned his head in time to see Eric has commanded his next attack. This time it looked like Eric was going to go for an attack that Porygon was weak against. He had commanded his pokemon to use Brick Break. He was surprised at how well the Ambipom did against that Tri Attack. He had to commend his pokemon for his resilience.

Ambipom went on the attack again. It got its tails ready to beat Porygon with a harsh Brick Break. However this time the Porygon was ready, it seemed to know that if this attack had hit it would be hurt a lot more than that fake out attack. The Porygon waited for the Ambipom to get close enough. The Ambipom swung its twin tails around to perform the Brick Break attack however right before the attack hit, the Porygon exploded in a burst of light. The light was full of electricity and was able to throw off Ambipom’s aim enough that the attack wasn’t head on.

Porygon didn’t get take a major hit as it was able to avoid one of its tails. The other connected but it wasn’t a full hit. Meanwhile the Discharge attack had did what it was meant to do. Porygon was able to avoid most of the damage and give some as well.

The Discharge attack burst forwards from the Porygon and engulfed part of Ambipom. He was able to jump away before he took the full of the attack. Electricity went through the Ambipom but it didn’t seem to paralyze.

Jack had to commend the Porygon. It knew how to take charge of a situation and think on its feet. Jack smiled and turned to look at Eric.

“what are you going to do next…?”

OOC: Hey don't worry mine do too, and then I start to ramble more and more.

IC: "Not bad Porygon, not bad at all. To think it was smart enough to use a move to not only counterattack, but to also to prevent Ambipom from dealing heavy damage from the Brick Break attack. I have to give it credit there," I stated as I waited for Ambipom to collect its wits after what had just happened. Porygon saw that Ambipom was charging right after it to attack, and rather than just sit there and take the hit dead on it was able to make a counterattack to protect itself some, as well as deal damage. Based on the way the attack looked when it came from Porygon's body it was no doubt an Electric-type attack, and if you looked closely enough when it was being used it was very different than a Thunderbolt attack. Porygon had used Discharge, now while it isn't quite as powerful as Discharge is it has a greater chance of paralyzing the foe, it made me wonder if perhaps that was Porygon's aim this whole time. First Porygon used Tri Attack, a move in which any one of three status' can be infected, and then it used Discharge, a move that could have easily paralyzed Ambipom, but I was probably just over thinking this, and Porygon was probably just attacking to save itself from Ambipom. I couldn't blame the little Virtual Pokemon, Ambipom would just keep going back to do more and more damage faster if it just sat there, but this way it made me have to think out any move I wanted Ambipom to do before I had it do the move.

Ambipom got back into its battle stance, it seemed to be more focused on Porygon now than it was just moments ago, "hey, don't worry Ambipom, you'll get Porygon next time," I said to Ambipom who seemed to be ready to conduct battle with Porygon yet again. The only thing I could wonder was what move should I have Ambipom use next? I wanted to keep Porygon guessing so I knew that now a Fighting-type move would be out of the question because it be more than likely expecting it. I could have always used a Fire or Ice Punch and hope for a burn or freeze, but I wasn't feeling all that lucky with one of those moves currently, so I figured that for right now I should just stick with moves that Ambipom would get STAB from, and possibly even a move that would get boosted even more from Technician. I knew now that there was only one move that I could do currently.

While I was thinking I couldn't help but hear Jack ask, “what are you going to do next…?” I replied the only way that I could, "good question, so why don't we show him Ambipom." Ambipom heard this and seemed to tighten its focus now completely on Porygon. If I had to guess I would say Ambipom erased everything from its mind currently except the sound of my voice, and Porygon, because if I was in its shoes I know I'd only be focused on my opponent, and the commands of my trainer, and nothing more.

"All right Ambipom, for your next move use Double Hit!" Ambipom nodded this time without even turning its head back to look on me, it must have not wanted to lose its focus that it had on Porygon. Double Hit was a move that Ambipom was very well known for. An Aipom couldn't even evolve into an Ambipom unless it knew Double Hit so some would say this was the signature attack of Ambipom for this reason alone, and I would have to agree with them. Double Hit was a Normal-type move, and only slightly weaker than Fake Out was, but the major different between the two moves was that while Fake Out flinched the opponent, Double Hit would strike them twice, I took that factor into account with Ambipom's ability, and due to Technician it would be like Porygon was being hit three times rather than two. I figured this attack would certainly shake Porygon up to say the least.

Double Hit wasn't a very spectacular looking move, but it was certainly a close combat type of move. The user would charge at the opponent and once they got in front of them they would first strike them with either their left or right hand, or in Ambipom's case its tail, and after the first hit made contact they would then take the opposite hand and smack them with that to complete the attack. It really looked very similar to Fake Out, the only difference was rather than having both hands or tails hit at the same time from different sides one tail or hand would first hit from one side and then the other one would hit from the opposite side. I suppose that it wasn't surprising that both moves looked alike since they were both weak Normal-type moves.

Ambipom charged over to Porygon with its right tail slightly forward, this meant it planned to hit Porygon with its right tail first. I was once again standing there wondering what Porygon would do in this situation, because I know that Double Hit would be one of the last moves I'd expect seeing as how most trainers overlook the move completely when they use Ambipom in favor of stronger moves, not me though I always enjoyed using some of Ambipom's less used attacks because in the end they could be the most deadly.

"Good question, so why don't we show him Ambipom." Eric said and Jack smiled, he liked this guy. This battle was heating up and all the combatants knew it.

"All right Ambipom, for your next move use Double Hit!" Jack watched as Eric took a new plan of attack. Instead of going at Porygon with another fighting attack it looked like this time he was going to go at him with a normal attack. It seemed that this battle wasn’t going to include too many special attacks on Ambipom’s part; however that wasn’t stopping Porygon. Porygon had already shot off two powerful special attacks and didn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon.

Ambipom though still charged at the Porygon and got ready to unleash its extra powered attack. Jack was excited to see an attack that was usually weak powered up so well. With the addition of technician, Ambipom’s most well known attack became a deadly attack.

Ambipom charged at its opponent in the same way it had with the Fake Out attack. When it got close enough it stopped and swung both tails around the front. In the meantime the Porygon seemed to be charging up yet another special attack, however it was too slow for the Ambipom.

It its attempt to shoot off its attack it couldn’t avoid the hit and both hits hit dead on. The first hit connected with the Porygon’s head and the second one connected with its side. The first hit knocked its head to the side and the second one knocked the Porygon away from where it was floating. The Porygon was smashed away a few 20 feet, wincing in obvious pain at the direct attack.

Jack wondered why it had taken a hit so dead on but he would know soon enough.

The Porygon got back under control of itself quick enough. It had gotten sick of getting beat down so many times. It unleashed its attack which was a narrow multicolored beam. Jack had seen this attack before and knew it was a Signal Beam. The beam seemed to come from right in front of Porygon and consisted of purples, blues, reds, and dark yellows. As strong as the attack was, Ampibom wasn’t going to sit back and take a powerful Signal Beam attack head on and was able to jump out of the way before it hit.

The move didn’t track the ambipom, instead it changed. The multicolored beam of power changed colored. It was now a bright cool blue color and had what looked like smoke coming off the beam. The beam gave off a cold field however Ambipom was able to twirl and avoid most of the majority of the Ice Beam. It still connected and seemed to make Ambipom very very cold.

“hmm, looks to me like Porygon’s the first one to get off a second attack. He didn’t like getting knocked around so much.” Jack said to anyone who was listening.

OOC: Am I the only person who does this from a first person point of view rather than a third?

IC: Porygon fired off not one, but two beam attacks at Ambipom at the same time. One of the beams was a multicolored attack, it was Signal Beam which was a Bug-type attack that could cause confusion upon contact, while the other beam was a blue colored one that seemed to have smoke or steam coming from the base of it, this one was no doubt an Ice Beam which if it hit could freeze the target. Ambipom was able to hit Porygon with both hits from the Double Hit, and manage to maneuver itself away from the majority of Porygon's attacks, however Ice Beam still hit enough to the point that you could tell Ambipom was very cold. After seeing this combo used I couldn't help but hear Jack say “hmm, looks to me like Porygon’s the first one to get off a second attack. He didn’t like getting knocked around so much." Once he said that though I couldn't help but agree, though I did think to myself that it only was the first one to do so because I hadn't wanted Ambipom to use two attacks at once. For this battle with Porygon I preferred to go nice and slow to weaken it. I thought that if I sent two powerful moves at once then Porygon might do something like Recover, and then this would just lead to a never ending cycle of moves until Ambipom was either knocked out, or until I just gave up on the battle. I certainly did not want that though, so I knew that what I had been doing was right.

I once again returned to my similar train of thought that I had been, only this time I started to speak it out rather than think it, "Porygon used both Signal Beam and Ice Beam at the same time. That means it once again used moves that can cause a status, Signal Beam could have confused Ambipom, while Ice Beam could have froze it. Maybe...maybe this Porygon really is trying to inflict a status on Ambipom, or maybe its just attacking without thinking and using powerful moves. Either way Ambipom needs to be on its guard because if there is one slip up by Ambipom then Porygon will easily have it beat."

Ambipom got back up and was yet again ready to attack Porygon, though first I needed to decide which attack at this point would be best. I could have once again sent Double Hit so Porygon would be hit twice, though Porygon probably was more than ready for that. I could always throw a curveball and use something unexpected such as Fire Punch, or Seed Bomb, though that wouldn't do all that much damage. There was also always Normal-type attacks Porygon has yet to see such as Return or Facade, though I figure it will be best to stick with a Fighting-type attack. That left Ambipom with Brick Break, which Porygon already saw, so that left Low Kick and Low Sweep. I knew which attack I had to have it use next then.

"All right now Ambipom, use a Low Sweep!" Ambipom got ready to use its attack on Porygon. Low Sweep wasn't as strong as Brick Break was, however due to Ambipom's ability Technician Low Sweep would be boosted in power by fifty percent which would make it stronger than Brick Break.

Low Sweep was once again not a very special looking attack much like all Fighting-type moves, its main attraction was its special effect it added. The user would run over to the opponent and would stop right in front of them, they would then take one of their feet and hit the Pokemon as low as it possibly can. The reason why people would use Low Sweep is because once executed if it hits it lowers the targets speed by one stage. Though I didn't need to reduce Porygon's speed, especially since Porygon's speed was already low due to the Thunder Wave from earlier Low Sweep was the best attack to use right now for damage.

Ambipom charged over to Porygon ready to kick it once it got over there. I knew this battle was getting closer and closer to its climax, I just hoped that I would be on the winning side of the battle.

"So Porygon, show me what you plan to do this time around," I said as I waited for Ambipom to strike Porygon. I knew Porygon wouldn't just take this attack standing still, but I was just wondering what move, or moves would it do, and if they would have a chance of inflicting a status like all its previous attacks or not.

Jack was surprised at how resilient the Porygon was; it had taken so many hits and didn’t seem too phased. Jack wondered if maybe Ambipom was just hitting the wrong places. Jack knew it couldn’t keep up all this made up defense for long. This last attack he thought might do a number. Next to him he saw a movement. Seems his ghost pokemon next to him saw something he didn’t, ghost pokemon always seemed to have a different sense that was different even to psychic pokemon. Maybe he was right, he was about to know for sure.

The Ambipom had just been commanded to use a low sweep. Technician boosted this attack and made it almost deadly. The Ambipom charged at the Porygon and when it got close enough it kicked out at the base of the Porygon. The Porygon did little to try to avoid the attack. Jack thought that perhaps all the beatings had slowed it down. The Porygon took the whole of the attack and it looked to be in pain, Jack was quite glad Tali wasn’t on the end of that attack, even though he knew that the attack wouldn’t even work on Tali.

The Poryon then responded, but quite unusual. The first thing it did was made its eyes glow. Its eyes glowed white and then the whole body flashed silver for a second. It was very hard to figure out what had happened, but once again Jack knew. He decided he would help Eric out here as it’s almost impossible to tell if there was even an attack.

“Hey Eric, that Porygon just used Conversion, and to help you out, its steel now.”

Then the Porygon confirmed Eric’s fears. It began to charge up what was obviously a Thunder Wave attack. The Porygon built up electricity inside itself and was about to let it loose until something unusual happened. The attack stopped and electricity surged through out Porygon, the paralysis had come into effect and it couldn’t move.

“Oh damn, lucky you Eric, get him now!”

Porygon didn't even bother to avoid the Low Sweep, instead it just stood in place and took the attack head on. Porygon seemed to be in pain once this attack hit, this battle was taking its toll on it. Porygon was now slower, as well as more damaged. I couldn't help but think of how great this was. Ambipom was truly doing a great job in this battle, but I knew Porygon wasn't happy about that and would retaliate in some way.

Porygon's eyes began to glow, and then its whole body turned silver for no more than a split second. I was confused as to what it was doing, was it some sort of attack, or was it just trying to distract me so it could get a cheap shot in on Ambipom? That's when I heard Jack yell out, “hey Eric, that Porygon just used Conversion, and to help you out, its steel now.” I couldn't help but think, Steel huh? Well then it will still be weak to Fighting type attacks, but now instead I have something else in mind for it. "Thanks Jack," I yelled back as Porygon once again started to do something.

Porygon began charging up an attack that was no doubt a Thunder Wave. Its version of Thunder Wave was far different looking than Ambipom's version of the move. While Ambipom would charge up the energy into a small ball and fire it, Porygon was instead seen with electricity coming from the inside of it out. This Porygon was doing what I thought it had been the whole time, trying to hit Ambipom with a status, its just that this time rather than rely on the secondary effect from a move it was now using a surefire status infection move. Thunder Wave would always paralyze the Pokemon it hit as long as it wasn't Ground-type or immune to Electric-type moves due to some other reason. I couldn't help but wondering if Porygon was getting desperate now, though if I had to guess I would say so since it had been on the ropes for a good portion of this battle seeing as how its been paralyzed from very early on.

As Porygon was just about done charging the attack something happened to it. It stopped charging its attack, and now electricity could be seen circling its entire body. The par that Ambipom inflicted on it earlier had now kicked in and prevent Porygon from using Thunder Wave on Ambipom. Once seeing this Jack yelled out “oh damn, lucky you Eric, get him now!” I answered back by saying "I was just thinking the same thing Jack!"

Ambipom who was standing back by my side was happy with this, it seemed to get away from this last little encounter with Porygon without being touched once. "You did a good job there Ambipom, a little more of that and this battle will be over," I said to Ambipom as it patiently waited for my next command, but before I told Ambipom its next move I couldn't help but think how ironic this was, Porygon planned to use a Thunder Wave, but at the same time before it could it felt the effects of the Thunder Wave that was used on it. I started laughing at how ironic that was, but before long I got my focus back and told Ambipom what to do next.

"Now Ambipom lets use Porygon's type change to Steel to our advantage, do so by using a Fire Punch!" I told Ambipom to use Fire Punch, because I knew that this would have been one of the last attacks Porygon expect Ambipom to use at this time, even if it was currently a Steel-type I figured that it would think Ambipom would have went for a Low Sweep or Brick Break instead. In addition to that too Fire Punch also had a secondary effect like the other moves. While Brick Break can remove barrier moves, and Low Sweep can lower the targets speed neither one of those effects would have been of much use right now, but Fire Punch could cause a burn, though I figured one wouldn't happen it was still nice to know that one could in fact happen.

Ambipom took one of its tails and started to clinch it a little as if it were a fist. This tail started to turn red, and was surging with power, shortly thereafter a powerful blaze erupted on it, the attack had been completed. Ambipom started to run over to Porygon with its tail blazing, ready to strike the Porygon the instant it got over to it. If Fire Punch hit Porygon then I was sure that no more than one additional attack would be needed before Porygon could be captured, but before I would celebrate I needed to wait to see if Fire Punch would hit or not.

Jack was impressed with Eric; he had taken advantage of the whole battle and kept it since the beginning. Seems this time he was going to press his advantage by using another move Porygon was weak against, the conversion attack looked like it proved to hurt it more than help it. This was confirmed in the execution of the Fire Punch.

The tail-fist ignited and Ambipom approached Porygon. It took a swing at the polygonal pokemon. The floating pokemon decided the best way to try and avoid the attack would be to lower itself. There was some space between the ground and it’s self so it just chose to fall. This however did not work as it had wanted and it took the shot to the head. The Porygon was knocked a bit away once again. Jack had to feel sorry for it, yet again had it been knocked around.

The Porygon seemed to rise and fall slowly and without a rhythm. It was weak and very close to being defeated. The Porygon looked on defiantly at the Ambipom and a glowing orb appeared in front of Porygon, it grew bigger and bigger and took on a yellow color. Electricity could be seen arcing throughout the ball.
    “uh oh… its despirate…”

The Ambipom knew something was coming and tried to jump out of the way. The attack let loose and a blast of electricity shot out of the orb. Porygon was able to predict its opponent beautifully, which was saying something considering Zap Cannon was usually a terribly inaccurate attack. The Blast hit home and Ambipom was now the one taking a beating.

Jack knew it would be okay, after all, this was just about over.

OOC: You're cheating me, cheating me I say, removing my characters and such.

IC: Ambipom made contact with the Fire Punch, however at this point Porygon was very desperate, and now launched a Zap Cannon attack at Ambipom. Zap Cannon looked like a blast fired from a cannon, it was a giant yellow energy ball that kept growing with electricity circling in the middle of it. Even though Ambipom attempted to get out of the way, and that Zap Cannon was had terrible accuracy and usually missed it hit Ambipom this time making it paralyzed upon contact, and also dealing a heavy amount of damage.

"You're lucky that I want to capture you Porygon or else I would make you feel the wrath of Ambipom's Facade attack, which, now thanks to you would be at its maximum power," I said at the Porygon, to let it know that now it gave Ambipom one of the most deadly attacks it can have. Facade isn't the most powerful attack, however when the Pokemon using it is paralyzed, burned, or poisoned this attack becomes twice as strong, now take that into account with the fact that Ambipom gets STAB from Facade and you now have one of the most powerful attacks out there, only being topped by power moves such as Giga Impact and Hyper Beam. Ambipom could learn these two powerful moves as well, however they came with a price, when used the user would need to spend some time resting after doing the attack because the attack would leave them drained.

Ambipom was very slow to get back to its feet, not only was it greatly damaged, but it also was now paralyzed. It did want to keep battling it seemed but at this point I didn't want it to battle anymore. Not only because the par had a chance to stop it from moving, but also because it would probably knock out Porygon in one more attack, not like I could exactly blame Ambipom if it did though, if I was in Ambipom's position I'd want to finish off Porygon. I've seen my Pokemon usually ignore what I have to say, and just go based on emotions when they have been hurt greatly, or annoyed. I didn't want Ambipom going ahead and acting on its own though, I wanted to capture Porygon not finish it off, so I knew I needed to say something to Ambipom.

"Hey, you rest now Ambipom, should the time come when I need your help again during this run then I'll fix your wounds up completely, but for now let me just finish this with Porygon and I'll fix up your par all right? You did a great job so leave the rest to me," I said to Ambipom to let it know that not only was its work was done here, but also that it did good and would be fixed up once this battle ended.

"I'll finish this now," I said as I took my backpack and opened it up. I started to search around in it for my Parkballs. I knew that Super and Hyperballs would be more likely to capture Porygon, but at this point it should have been weak enough to the point where a simple Parkball could capture the Porygon. Besides I wanted to save my Super and Hyperballs for later on in case I ran into stuff that I wanted that would be harder to catch. "Ah there you are," I said as I came across one of my empty Parkballs.

I pulled the Parkball out of my backpack, and made it full size. I set my eyes on the Porygon who was hardly moving around now, and said, "lets see if you can escape from this one Porygon, though if I were you I'd want to stay down because I was able to save from it this time around, but I might not be able to control its emotions next time." Once I said that I tossed the Parkball at Porygon, and waited to see what would be the outcome of this.

Jack wasn’t surprised that Eric and his Ambipom were ticked at the Porygon. Luckily Eric had decided to recall his Ambipom before it decided to murder the trapped Porygon. He recalled the battle monkey with a promise that he would heal it later on.

"Hey, you rest now Ambipom, should the time come when I need your help again during this run then I'll fix your wounds up completely, but for now let me just finish this with Porygon and I'll fix up your par all right? You did a great job so leave the rest to me,”

He then went on to decide how best to tackle this Porygon. Jack noticed he pulled out a regular old park ball. Jack wasn’t surprised considering it was probably all he needed.

"Let’s see if you can escape from this one Porygon, though if I were you I'd want to stay down because I was able to save from it this time around, but I might not be able to control its emotions next time."

Jack had to hand it to the guy, if he wanted to capture it a different way, scaring it like that would have made sure it stayed put inside the ball.

Jack watched as Eric chucked the ball at the Porygon. It came into contact, and the Porygon was sucked into the confines of the small ball. It fell to the ground where it began to shake, wobble, and quiver. Then finally with a definite click it stopped and the battle was over.

“Well there ya go Eric, Porygons caught, but Im going to have to hold it for now, at the end of the run you can claim it with any other pokemon you capture later on.” He said as he went and picked up the ball, his voice back to his bored tone.

“Now then, shall we go inside?”

"Wonderful, all of Ambipom's hard work paid off then," I happily said excited at this capture.

“Now then, shall we go inside?” Jack asked me waiting for me to respond.

"Sure, but first things first I need to cure Ambipom so it can keep walking with us. Now this may sting a bit Ambipom but its for your own good," I said to Ambipom as I pulled the Full Heal I had out of my backpack. I sprayed Ambipom with the medicine, and it seemed to cure Ambipom of its paralysis. Ambipom looked happy and seemed willing to keep walking with me. "There all better Ambipom," I said before turning back to Jack.

"All right, I'm ready to continue on now."

Jack had just asked Eric if they could now enter.

"Sure, but first things first I need to cure Ambipom so it can keep walking with us. Now this may sting a bit Ambipom but it’s for your own good," Eric said.

Jack watched as the Ambipom seemed to hold its breath. The medicine was injected and Ambipom seemed to be better with the paralysis gone now. Jack nodded in its approval.

"There all better Ambipom," Eric said before turning back to Jack.

"All right, I'm ready to continue on now." Eric said matter of factly.

“Good, then in we go.” Jack said and dragged his feet towards the door. He opened the door and the four of them went inside, three walking and one hovering in. The building had a cold feel; it had been abandoned for some time. There was no noise but the air flowed with electricity, and you could hear a slight buzzing sound.

Jack and Eric walked around the corner into a big area. Grass was actually growing through the ground. Jack looked over and saw that some of this grass was actually being eaten. It was a small black and white four legged pokemon. Its head was lowered and munching on the grass. The white hair on its head was in zig zag shapes like lightning bolts.

“Well would you look there, it’s a Blitzle, do you want to catch it?” Jack asked and directed the trainer towards the pokemon he saw.

Jack started to lead me more through the Power Plant. It was pretty cold, as well as eerie since there really was no noise at all aside from a slight buzzing noise.

As we walked you could notice grass growing through the ground. One spot of grass was being eaten by a small black and white Pokemon.

"Well would you look there, it's a Blitzle, do you want to catch it?" Jack asked while pointing at the zebra Pokemon.

"No thanks, I'll just buy a Pokedoll so we can move on now," I replied uninterested.

I reached into my pocked and pulled the needed money out. Personally I wasn't ready for another battle just yet, and even if I was I would want something rarer.
