Jack looked at Eric and nodded as he decided to deny the Blitzle. Eric had asked Jack to use one of his pokedolls he had. Jack complied by taking a datapad out of his pocket and charging the amount of the doll to Eric. He loved this thing, just press in the numbers and let the big heads sort them all out, easiest thing his job asked for.

He put the pad away and reached into his bag, he pulled out a small Cleffary plushie. He then tossed it in the direction of Blitzle. The pokemon watched it fly at it and land next to it with a soft plop. The little zebra pokemon walked up to the doll and sniffed it. It then grabbed it with its mouth and trotted off, it had a happy look on its face.

“Okay, that was exciting. Shall we move one?” Jack asked rhetorically. The pair of them with Jack’s Tali walked off. They walked through the netural colored hallways of the power plant. Wires could be seen running down the lengths of the ceilings and jeering off into other smaller rooms. Jack poked his head into a few of the rooms to see if there were any pokemon sleeping, seeing as he couldn’t hear any. Then as they walked the came across a room further down the hallway. There were blue flashes of light coming from it.

Jack got closer and peered inside. He saw a small yellow pokemon with black stripes inside a bigger than normal room. It had its hands pressed against a few electrical wires. It was obviously trying to drain out any remaining electricity. It was doing a good job. The electricity was arcing between the two prongs on its head.

“Look in here Eric, it’s an Elekid.” Jack said as he pointed at the opening to the room.

    “You want one?”

Jack pulled out a pad from his pocket and charged the amount of the Pokedoll to me. He then went on to pull a Clefairy doll, and tossed it at the Blitzle who sniffed it, and then left happily with the doll hanging on to it by Blitzle's mouth.

“Okay, that was exciting. Shall we move one?” Jack asked, even though he already knew the answer. The two of us, as well as our active Pokemon continued to walk though the Plant. Wires could be seen hanging around the Plant and I couldn't help but think that it was a good thing that none of my Pokemon knew any Water-type attacks, because if I used one it could have easily hit a wire and started an electrical fire.

Eventually a room could be seen with blue flashes coming out of it. “Look in here Eric, it’s an Elekid,” Jack said after he looked in here first. The Elekid was saw a small yellow Pokemon, with black stripes, was grabbing some wires to drain them of their electricity to boost its own power probably. This could probably be confirmed by the fact that the electricity was seen surging around the two prongs on its head.

“You want one?” Jack asked. "No thanks, I already had an Electivire before, and it wasn't really my type of Pokemon," I told Jack. "I think I'll just buy another Pokedoll so we can keep going," I said as I waited for Jack to respond.

Jack shrugged off Eric’s decision to move past the Elekid. He pulled the pad out of his pocket again and smashed on it a few times once more. After pressing the conformation button he slipped it back into his pocket.

He reached into his bag again and pulled out a heavy Wailmur plushie this time.

“This will work well.” Jack said testing the weight. Instead of trying to distract them he winded his arm back and chucked it at the little volt pokemon. It turned in time to see a smiling blue ball flying at it. The pokedoll smashed into his head and knocked it on its back. The poor little guy was knocked out cold.

“I’ve always wanted to do that. Come on; let’s go before this thing wakes up!”

They all ran off a bit of ways until Jack heard something new.

“shhh I hear something up ahead.” Jack rounded the corner and saw a rounded version of the pink and blue pokemon that Eric had captured earlier. It seemed to just be floating down the hallway towards them.

“Hey, do you want to capture this Porygon2? I know you just caught a Porygon though.”

Jack pulled out a Pokedoll and threw it at Elekid, knocking the poor Electric-type out cold.

“I’ve always wanted to do that. Come on; let’s go before this thing wakes up!” Jack said, but I couldn't help but feel bad for the poor little Elekid.

We started to run for a bit until Jack heard something, “shhh I hear something up ahead.” Jack turned his head to see what it was before turning to me and saying, “hey, do you want to capture this Porygon2? I know you just caught a Porygon though.”

"You're....you're kidding me right? A Porygon first and now a Porygon2?" I said in shock. "Well I know of someone who'd love to have a Porygon-Z like me, but I already know they will be owning a Porygon eventually so it'd be pointless for me to capture this thing right now, so I'll just take a picture of it," I said as I pulled my camera out of my backpack to snap a picture of this incredibly rare Pokemon.

Jack wasn’t surprised that Eric wanted to pass up the Porygon2. He did think it was kind of a bummer that no one would get this Porygon2, they were rare from what he heard.

He watched as Eric pulled out his camera and took a picture of the Porygon2. The flash startled the little Porygon2 and it spun and place and floated away faster then it came.

Jack shrugged and decided to keep going down the same hallway. They came to a big room again. This time there was catwalks and big rusted over generators. The sound of electricity was more so in this room and they could hear clicks and bangs. Then around one of the generators appeared a four legged pokemon that appeared just big enough to possibly ride on. It had dark blue fur and at the end of its tail was a yellow star. Even Jack’s bored look went away slightly at the site of the intimidating looking pokemon.

The Porygon2 instantly fled after I took its picture, but I knew it was for the best anyway since Porygon gave a lot of trouble there was no doubt that a Porygon2 would have been a lot more trouble.

After going further down the hallway Jack lead me into another big room. This room was full of rusted generators, and the sound of electricity was very loud in this room. Then around one of the generators, a Pokemon that reminded me of a cat appeared. It had very dark blue fur and a yellow star at the end of its tail.

“Well how bout that. You don’t see Luxray too often. You want one?” Jack asked me. "I've been a big fan of Luxray ever since I knew they existed, but at this time I don't want one, so I'll just take a picture of it," I said as I got my camera ready to snap a picture of a great, underestimated Pokemon.

Jack watched once again as Eric took out a camera again and aimed it at the Luxray. The camera flashed once again and the Luxray looked directly at them, frozen by the flash. It then took off in the opposite direction with one last call of its own name.

“Well this just keeps getting better and better.” Jack said. he was getting a tad annoyed again; he took this guy out to collect pokemon, not enjoy the scenery. Jack shook it off and continued walking. He didn’t walk too far, in fact they were still in the generator room when Jack heard the bang again.

“Hold on that sounds like…” Jack said to no one in particular. Then he looked up towards one of the catwalks. And up above was what looked like a pair of gears with a bigger one behind it rotating with each other. The steel pokemon watched the two trainers walk. The tri-gear pokemon stopped spinning and the bang sound resounded again. It gave a smile as it looked at the trainers

Luxray froze after the flash from the camera and ran off. It felt like a shame to pass on a Luxray because I was such a big fan of them, however I knew they were rather easy to obtain, and since I wanted to focus on catching rarer Pokemon I knew passing on it wouldn't come back to haunt me.

“Well this just keeps getting better and better,” Jack said sounding a bit annoyed, probably by the fact that I kept just running from Pokemon or taking their pictures, though I kinda didn't care how he felt, as far as I knew it was just his job to lead me around on my trip, and it was up to me if I wanted to battle a Pokemon or not.

We continued to walk around in the room when we heard another noise. “Hold on that sounds like…” Jack said before he looked up to try to find the source of the noise. It was a Pokemon made up of multiple gears. The Steel-type Pokemon stopped spinning and looked at me and Jack before giving a smile.

“What do you think? Do you want a Klang?" Jack asked. "Sure, I'll be more than happy to battle this, and try to catch it since I have some spare Superballs," I said to Jack as I reached at my belt to pull out one of my Pokemon. I didn't want Ambipom to battle again right now, and I also felt like saving Scizor for a battle against something tougher. That really only left me with one option.

"Come on out Gliscor!" I yelled as I tossed its Pokeball into the air. The dual Ground and Flying-type scorpion Pokemon appeared, and seemed ready to battle. Despite being four times weak to Ice Gliscor was a very powerful Pokemon when it was in the right hands. I could think of more than one occasion when Gliscor came in handy, especially when it came to facing Electric-type Pokemon, because despite being a Flying-type Pokemon, a type that Electric is super effective against, Gliscor's Ground-type made it immune to Electric-type attacks thus making it perfect to switch in on Electric-type Pokemon, or common moves such as Thunder Wave.

I knew Klang wouldn't be much of a challenge at all for Gliscor due to Gliscor's good typing vs it, but that didn't mean that Klang would be easy by any means. I mean I knew Klang wasn't exactly a weak Pokemon, and I knew it would put up a decent fight no matter what, its just that with Gliscor up against it, it didn't exactly have the best odds.

To be honest I didn't really want this Klang, but I did have some extra balls just in case I ran into something else I wanted such as a Rotom. I was really hopeful that I'd run into a Rotom during this trip, but for now I should focus on the Klang.

"All right Gliscor, start off with a Brick Break!" I figured Brick Break was a good way to start this off, because it wasn't too powerful, however Klang was still weak vs this move so that would be handy. Klang had good defense so I knew this attack wouldn't weaken it to the point where it could instantly be captured, it would just startle it a bit.

Ambipom used Brick Break in its battle earlier with Porygon, though when Gliscor, or any Pokemon that didn't have hands, such as Scizor, used Brick Break they would close one of their claws, and would smack the top of their body with it.

Gliscor took one of its claws, and closed it. It then set its sights on Klang and flew over to it ready to chop it the second it got there.

Jack watched as Eric decided to try and capture the Klang. It seemed this time he was going to use his Gliscor. He threw the ball into the air releasing the purple scorpion bat pokemon. Jack knew this was going to be an interesting matchup. Gliscor had an incredible attack power and the Klang, even though it wasn’t fully evolved had good defense. The Klang was weak against ground type and he knew that Klang can’t learn Magnet Rise at all which ensured that ground attacks were not going to miss.

Then Eric called his first move. Jack was surprised to see that his first move was a Brick Break attack instead of a ground attack. Jack guessed he was just testing the waters. Jack watched as the Gliscor began its attack. One of its claws began to glow white and the Gliscor decended on the Klang. The Klang was too slow to move out of the way or move before it and took the claw right to the front. The Klang fell from the catwalk and landed below.

The Klang then responded with an attack of its own. Since the Gliscor was up near the catwalk still the only thing it could do was hit it from afar. Jack thought it was going to try an electric attack even knowing that it wouldn’t hurt it.

Instead the Klang began to form light energy in front of itself. It came together in streams and formed a ball of bright white energy. Jack recognized it as a Mirror Shot attack. The sphere of energy shot upwards at the Gliscor at a high speed and collided with the Gliscor. It too fell to the ground but landed on its feet.

Jack had to hand it to the Klang, it knew electric attacks wouldn’t work and now that the Gliscor was on the ground it could use its up close attacks. All three gears that made up the Klang were now spinning as the pokemon was now in full battle mode

“This will be a good fight, finally some excitement. What do you want to do next?” Jack asked

The Klang was slow when trying to avoid Gliscor's attack, probably due to the difference in the two Pokemon's speed, or perhaps the Klang just decided to take the attack head on. Either way once the attack hit Klang fell down to the ground. This however didn't prevent Klang from attacking back in retaliation, far from it. Just because Klang wasn't close to Gliscor anymore that didn't mean it couldn't still hit Gliscor, it had some long range attacks, and it began to charge one up after Gliscor's attack.

Klang began to form some light energy in front of itself from streams, and before long it formed a ball that was silver in color. Klang fired the ball of energy at Gliscor which made contact, and it also brought Gliscor to the ground, however its tail stopped it from colliding into the ground. "That Mirror Shot sure packs a punch doesn't it Gliscor?" I said as I waited for Gliscor to shake the attack off. While it was shaking it off I couldn't help but wonder if Mirror Shot lowered Gliscor's accuracy or not, there really was no way of telling unless the Pokemon attacked. I didn't think anything of it though, because I've faced tricky Pokemon with accuracy problems before, such as a Froslass in hail, or when I faced a Spiritomb that used Double Team six times.

“This will be a good fight, finally some excitement. What do you want to do next?” Jack asked. At first I couldn't help but think, what, my battle with Porygon wasn't exciting? but in the end I replied with, "at this point there is only one attack I feel the need to use. Now Gliscor use Earthqu....wait, if I use that I could end up doing a lot of damage to this area, and that could cause harm for a lot of Pokemon in the Plant, I do not want that," I couldn't help but thinking this, the last thing I wanted to do right now was bring harm to all the Pokemon that live in the Power Plant just for the sake of my battle with Klang, so I did the only thing I could do which was decide to change my mind of what move I told Gliscor to use in the middle of my command. "Gliscor use Swords Dance, and then follow up with a Fire Fang!" Gliscor heard this combo and knew what it had to do.

Gliscor took a few steps back and began to charge up its power. I was never exactly sure how Swords Dance worked, most Pokemon usually did nothing when powering up the only thing you would ever really notice is some images of swords circling around the Pokemon's head, and then a flash and glow to signal the attack was done. The only thing most Pokemon might do when the move is being used is they will maybe shake their body a little, or do a quick circle in place without turning their body around. If anything I would say this attack was very weird, but I guess it was just another one of those unanswered mysteries of Pokemon.

Once this attack was done Gliscor got ready to use Fire Fang. Fire Fang was a violent looking move, the uses mouth and teeth would erupt in a blaze, and they would rush over and bite down on the opposing Pokemon. This bite was a vicious bite too, and due to the fact that the opposing Pokemon gets bit by a mouth that is on fire you know it will cause some pain to even the toughest of Pokemon. This wasn't a pretty site to see, and if you squeamish then this attack certainly wasn't for you. Fire Fang was one of the few Physical Fire-type attacks, and it was also weak in power making people generally overlook it. However if your Pokemon was fast it was a pretty good move to use, because not only could it cause a burn, but it could also make the opponent flinch, though I wasn't really looking for either or to happen right now, or even minded if they did or not. I just wanted to hit Klang with a move other than Brick Break.

Gliscor was ready with its mouth blazing for the attack, and before long it flew over at the Klang. Now even with the Swords Dance I wasn't exactly sure that this would make Klang weak enough to capture just yet, but I knew for a fact that it would certainly weaken it for sure.

    Ranger Jack Fenix
    -=-=-

Jack watched the fight and wondered what Eric was going to call out next, he was quite happy that Eric had decided against using Earthquake, he didn’t want to have to explain to the ranger office why the power plant was brought to the ground. He also didn’t want to have to escort Eric out of the park. The destruction of the power plant would result in the scattering of all the electric pokemon on the island. This is the only place they all were and he wondered where they would live if their home was destroyed.

Instead Eric decided on something else. "Gliscor use Swords Dance, and then follow up with a Fire Fang!" Jack thought it was a good move. Since he wasn’t allowed to get a full powered same type advantage attack, he would get the next best thing. A powered up fire attack. This was going to do some serious damage.

The first thing that happened was the Gliscor began to do a little twirl in place. It took a real eye to figure out what the Gliscor was doing. There were too many dance attacks out there. The only way to know for sure was based on the after effect. Luckily he didn’t have to guess because Eric had already called out the attack. The Gliscor seemed to instantly get a little bigger and stronger. Jack knew that the pokemon had become twice as powerful. These next attacks were going to hurt.

Then the Gliscor started its Fire Fang attack. Gliscor opened up its mouth, showing off its sharp fangs. The teeth began to glow red until they burst into flames, it was a wondrous sight and Jack wondered how the attack worked without Glisor getting hurt. Pokemon were truly a mystery.

The Gliscor glided towards the Klang and sunk its fangs into the sides of the Klang’s main gear. The Klang didn’t even do anything to try and avoid it and Jack had to wonder why. It then became apparent when the gears of pokemon began to grind together, with the Gliscor so close the attack was sure to hit. And hit it did, the Gliscor cried in pain as it was pitched between the gears.

Jack knew Gliscor had to get out of there, luckily he could tell that last attack really did a number on the Klang, he wondered if Eric was going to attack it or hit it one more time.

Klang waited for Gliscor to get close to it so it would be right in range for Klang's attack. I had to hand it to Klang, not many Pokemon would be willing to stay still and take an attack head on just so they could get a chance to counterattack the Pokemon that was attacking it. However this may not have exactly been the best idea on Klang's part since it took a Fire Fang head on, a move that it is weak to, and a move that could have caused Klang some problems, not to mention that Klang was now weakened a great deal due to that attack.

At this point Gliscor clearly had a big advantage on Klang, what with Klang being weak and with Gliscor having doubled its attack. Though this could also be a bad thing, because if I wasn't careful in my move choice for Gliscor then it could easily finish off Klang with its very next attack. At this point using a move that Klang was weak to such as Fire Fang, or Brick Break would no doubt finish off Klang, so I figured it would be best to use a weaker move that was also not all that effective on Klang, maybe just normal effectiveness at best. I knew the perfect move to do this because of the previous turn.

"All right, now Gliscor use a Thunder Fang," I said without yelling this time seeing as how I didn't want a full force attack, or else it might have finished Klang off making it unable to be captured. That isn't exactly what I wanted after battling it, and having Gliscor get hurt in the process.

Thunder Fang looked, and was pretty similar to Fire Fang with only two real key differences. The first difference was in look, rather than the users mouth erupting in a blaze it would instead become yellow in color, and would surge with electricity as its name suggests. The other difference was what it could do, while it was just as strong as Fire Fang and could also cause a flinch just like it, it could cause paralysis rather than a burn. Though once again like with Fire Fang I didn't mind if it cause a flinch, or paralysis, or not, my only aim here was to hurt it a bit more so it could be captured.

Gliscor who heard my command got itself into place, and opened its mouth. Its mouth because to have small sparks of electricity surge around it, and before long it turned yellow and was full of electricity surging all around its mouth. No matter what happened here I knew one thing was for sure, this would no doubt be the last attack used by Gliscor during this battle, because I knew that now would be the best chance I had at capturing Klang. I reached into my backpack and pulled out an empty Superball. If the attack hit Klang then it would certainly have a hard time escaping, because once the ball hit it it would still be feeling the damage from the Thunder Fang.

The attack was ready so Gliscor once again launched itself at Klang. As Gliscor did this I made the Superball full size, and as Gliscor was no more than inches away from Klang I took aim at it and tossed the Superball towards it, waiting to see what the outcome would be.

Jack watched as Eric as he commanded his gliscor to use thunderfang. For a second time Gliscor unsheathed its fangs and showed them to his opponent they turned yellow and electricity could be seen going through them. It once again clammed down on the Klang since it was so close.

Jack noticed the poor Klang was very worse for wear, it was almost knocked out, and in fact it lost its ability to hover and was resting on the ground. Jack felt bad for the poor thing; it had been put through the ringer.

Then jack saw Eric pull out the super ball, he threw it at the Klang and the ball impacted against the poor pokemon. The pokemon turned into a red light and disappeared into the ball. The ball fell against the ground bouncing once and resting next to Gliscor. It shook a few times as the Klang struggled to escape until if finally gave up. A beep resounded through the generator room and the battle was over.

“Congratulation Eric, you caught yourself a Klang.” Jack said, his voice suddenly bored sounding again. He went over and picked up the ball. “As per usual I have to keep this until your run is over or you decide to leave.

Klang could not escape from Gliscor's attack, and was forced to take it head on. After it hit Klang could no longer even hover in the air, Gliscor hurt it so bad that it was on the verge of being knocked out. Yet despite this once it was inside the ball the thing still put up a fight to escape from it. You had to give it credit, it was no less than a tough Pokemon.

“Congratulation Eric, you caught yourself a Klang,” Jack said sounding uninterested again. I couldn't help but think, it doesn't take much time for you to be bored again does it? "Thanks Jack," I replied trying to ignore my thoughts.

"So shall we continue on?" I asked Jack since this battle was over.

"So shall we continue on?” Eric asked eagerly.

“Sure, I suppose.” Jack said and he and Tali floated on next to him, staying quiet the whole time. He put his hands into his pocket as he walked. They walked ahead as Eric followed finally leaving the generator room.

As they continued to walk the buzzing was getting louder, it seemed there was more electricity in this area. Jack’s guess was that there was more electric pokemon in this area. Jack would have been surprised by the lack of poison pokemon in the area but they seemed to be staying out of the way, looks like the repellant Eric had used before they started worked.

They continued to walk until around a corner a small pokemon with a plug on its head walked. It was a second Elekid. Jack doubted Eric would want to catch this one, but asked anyway.

“Well do you want this one?”

"Sure, I suppose," Jack said as he led me and Ambipom along the way. Once we got out of the generator room the buzzing could be heard louder and louder the further you went in the plant.

We kept walking until another Pokemon appeared. It looked similar to one I saw before, mainly because it was the same exact Pokemon as the one before. It was another Elekid.

“Well do you want this one?” Jack asked. "No thanks, its no different than the one before and since I didn't want that one, so I'll just leave this thing be, lets just hope it lets us go in peace, of course maybe it knows of what happened to the Elekid earlier and will now let us pass," I said to Jack wondering what else I'd run into.

Jack nodded as Eric declined the Elekid, he was a little bummed that he didn’t pay for another pokedoll, he was kind of hoping he could knock out another one. They continued down the hallway. The Elekid stopped and watched them as they passed. The Elekid waved at them as they passed. Jack took his hand out of his pocket and waved it once at the Elekid, and then he put it back into his pocket. Tali stopped behind them and then took a bow at the little electric pokemon. She then floated back after the others.

Jack walked on in quiet comfort. He looked around trying to find out where there would be another pokemon and the decided to take a chance.

“Hey, I have an idea, follow me.”

They walked a little but ignoring some of the rooms they passed, until finding an open area, there were a few folded up tables pressed against the wall and a kitchen area with a serving area. Jack walked into the cafeteria area thinking there might be a pokemon in here. He finally smiled as he saw something. Up ahead was a freezer, but there was something different with this freezer, it buzzed with electricity in it and Jack knew why.
“Hey there! Hello!” Jack yelled out and two eyes opened on the freezer.

“Well that’s defiantly pretty lucky. Would you like to battle this Rotom? It’s inside this freezer so it’s going to have some ice characteristics.” Jack said to Eric. Tali on the other hand began speaking to the Rotom using their own tongue. She recognized the ice similarities.

It seemed the Froslass was able to convince the Rotom to leave the kitchen just in case there was a battle, no use trying to fight in the kitchen.

The Elekid stepped to the side and allowed us to pass without any trouble at all, maybe it really did know of what happened to the Elekid earlier, or perhaps it was just a friendly Pokemon. I'd like to think it was the second one because once we began to leave it the Elekid waved at us as we passed by. I noticed that Jack was waving back at it as I planned to do. I picked my hand up and began to wave at it in return, after which Ambipom also waved at it. Once that was done Jack continued to lead me along so I could find some more Pokemon. He was looking all over for some Pokemon, constantly turning his head every couple of steps to see if one was hiding somewhere, or perhaps if one was just around a corner. Eventually Jack turned to me and said, “hey, I have an idea, follow me.” I thought to myself well obviously I'm going to follow you, you're my ranger after all so its not like you had to tell me that. "Alright Jack, lead me to wherever you're planning to take me," I replied to him.

Jack lead me on a short walk, but every room we passed along the way we just skipped over without even looking in. I figured that Jack must have had one specific spot he wanted to look if he made it a point to skip over every other room on the way there. The area he led me to was an open space with some tables up against the walls, and a kitchen area with a serving area. Seeing that made me hungry, we had been on this run for a little while now and I had yet to eat some lunch, but it was all right I figured I could tough it out for a little while longer. I was wondering why Jack lead me here though, there seemed to be no Pokemon around at the time. Maybe he just thought that there would be some here looking for some old scraps of food perhaps. Just then though Jack got a smirk on his face and yelled out, “hey there! Hello!” At that instant two eyes opened up on the freezer, a Pokemon had been using camouflage similar to the way Porygon did earlier in this trip. Though this was certainly a different Pokemon, I could only think of one Pokemon that could be hiding with a freeze as a camouflage. Once I realized what it was I was in shock and couldn't help but think, this is incredible! I must be super lucky to encounter both a Porygon and a Rotom on this trip, and its still only half way done so who knows what else I could encounter! I was really happy and excited at this chance to battle Rotom.

“Well that’s defiantly pretty lucky. Would you like to battle this Rotom? It’s inside this freezer so it’s going to have some ice characteristics,” Jack asked, and instructed me. "Of course I'd like to battle this Rotom," I said happily, while still taking into account what Jack said about the Rotom. Rotom seemed to leave the kitchen for some reason, though I could only guess that it didn't want to battle in there.

Rotom's characteristics made it the most unique Pokemon out there for sure. First of all it had five different forms, and if you including its traditional form then it had six different forms in total, each different than the last. In each form Rotom would always remain an Electric-type, but Rotom's second type would change between forms. It had its standard form where it was a dual Ghost Electric type Pokemon, this was actually its least used form, though I didn't understand why, with its Electric typing it could easily be helpful to any Ghost gym. While in this form it looked like light bulb. Next up was its Heat Form. In this form Rotom was now a dual Fire Electric type. Not only this, but as with all of Rotom's different forms it could a move unique to that form only. In this form it got the move Overheat. Overheat is an incredibly powerful Fire-type attack, however after use it drops the users Special Attack by two stages making it seem like a last resort move only. In this form Rotom took on the shape of a microwave over. After that was its Wash Form. While in this form Rotom is a dual Water Electric type. The move learned while in this form was Hydro Pump. This was probably the most common form for a Rotom to be used by trainers because its typing makes Electric-type moves do normal damage, not to mention that due to Rotom's ability Levitate all Ground-type moves, such as the ever popular Earthquake, would fail, this meant that Rotom Wash was only weak to Grass-type moves. In this form Rotom looks like a washing machine. Its next form was the form it is currently in, that would be its Frost Form. In this form Rotom would be a dual Ice Electric type. This gave Rotom some new weaknesses, and also made Steel-type attacks due normal damage on it, however while in this form Rotom would know the powerful move Blizzard, a move with a chance to freeze the opponent. It made it the perfect Pokemon to combat Dragon-types. This was the form of Rotom that one of my closest friends had, and I was always a little bit jealous of that because I had wanted my own Rotom for a long time, they did let me borrow it once though I never got to use it. I wanted to capture this Rotom now so I could have my own, but also so I could end up giving it to them one day since I knew they wanted a team of six Rotom's, all in a different form. While in this current form Rotom took on the shape of a refrigerator. Next up was its Fan Form. In this form Rotom would become part Flying part Electric. This meant Rotom would only be weak to Ice and Rock type moves, which in all honestly wasn't so bad since Ice-type moves aren't that common, and since Rock-type moves mostly don't have full accuracy. In this form Rotom knew Air Slash as its special move. This form of Rotom was usually seen as the most haxy form, this was because this Rotom not only had access to Thunder Wave and Confuse Ray like its other forms, but this form knew Air Slash, a move that had a chance to flinch the opponent. If you used Thunder Wave, and Confuse Ray on the opposing Pokemon, and then Air Slash it would almost never be able to attack, and that is what made this form so deadly. While in this form as its name suggests Rotom looks like a fan. Its last form was its Mow Form. In this form it is both a Grass and Electric type. Most people generally call this its weakest form because it has more weaknesses than any of its other forms. In this form the move it knew was Leaf Storm, this move is the Grass-type equivalent of Overheat, in the sense that it is just as strong, and it has the same negative effect as Overheat does. While Rotom is in this form its appears like it is a lawnmower, and in this form more than others it looks very psychotic and vicious.

"Hm, now which Pokemon should I use?" I asked myself. Ambipom had already been in battle once today, and Gliscor was four times weak to Ice, and since Rotom was currently part Ice-type I knew that would be bad. This only left me with one choice. "Go go go Scizor!" I yelled as I tossed its Pokeball into the air. The dual Steel Bug type appeared for the first time during this run. It let out a "Sci-Sci Scizor" once it hit stepped on the ground. Scizor didn't exactly have the best moves to use against Rotom if I wanted anything to be super effective except for a few Fighting-type moves, though this didn't mean Scizor was by any means weak. Scizor was the kind of Pokemon that just loved to be in battle, in fact it was so brave, and crazy, that it would go into battle against a Fire-type Pokemon despite its overwhelming weakness to Fire-type moves just so it could get a good shot in on the opponent before being knocked out. Scizor was probably my most prized, and special Pokemon. Not so much that it was so rare, or its value was so high, but because it was given to me by a good friend who knew I wanted a Scizor more than I wanted a Rotom, ironically enough the person who gave me this Scizor was the same one who had the Rotom that they loaned me once. I always told them that I would repay them for the Scizor someday, and this could have easily been my chance to do so.

"So what do you say Scizor, you up for a little battle?" I asked Scizor, who turned to me with a grin and nodded. "Good that's the spirit," I answered to its agreement. I knew Rotom would be a crafty opponent to face for sure, but I knew that Scizor's passion for battle would make it nothing short of a handful for Rotom. The only thing I wondered here was should I just jump right in and instantly attack Rotom, or should I try to be crafty myself before it has the chance to do so and surprise it? I knew that this wouldn't be over in two simple hits, so I figured that it would actually be best to surprise the Rotom.

"All right Scizor, why don't we start things off a little different than we normally do. Start with a Double Team, and then follow up with a Toxic!" I yelled to Scizor who was happy he could start battling now.

Scizor stood in place and started to chuckle. Before you knew it it flapped its wings, and then one Scizor became two, and then two became four. Double Team would make image copies of whatever Pokemon used it, most of the time the Pokemon would make a lot of different copies of itself, but that would also make it easier to hit, because some moves could wipe out many copies at once, but by having three copies, as well as the real Pokemon spread out its copies could usually sustain an attack or two before the real Pokemon was hit. That is how I trained Scizor to be, I never wanted it to be too flashy, just careful enough that it could get some hits in. Once Double Team was done the four Scizors surrounded Rotom, each Scizor taking a different spot, one in front of Rotom, one behind it, and one on each side of it.

Once the all four Scizor were in position they all inhaled deeply for Toxic. Toxic was an attack that would be released from inside a Pokemon at the target that would deal damage to the opposing Pokemon each turn if it hit. Toxic was purple in color, and it also looked gooey, and once it hit purple bubbles would be seen coming up from the opposing Pokemon. That Pokemon would remain a shade of purple for as long as it was under the effects of Toxic, and each turn that it took damage more bubbles would rise up from the Pokemon. When Toxic is used most trainers generally stall turns out so the affected Pokemon gets hurt more and more. Toxic was nothing short of a strategical attack that Technical Machine.

Once the attack was ready all four Scizor spit the Toxic goo out directly for Rotom. My aim here was to give Rotom a hard time to avoid the attack since it might not know which Scizor is the real one, and even if it managed to avoid it then it could easily leave itself open from an attack from Scizor, or it could be hit by Toxic and have its heal slowly sapped away, either way seemed great to me. I just thought though that it was a shame that every battle I've had on this run wasn't exciting as I know this one will be.

    Ranger Jack Fenix
    -=-=-

Jack watched as the battle for the Rotom began. Jack wondered what who he would use. He had already used Ambipom and Gliscor in battle. That left his third pokemon whom was fully healed. He knew he could just heal the other pokemon. He had a feeling it wasn’t going to be Gliscor again; however, it could be Ambipom. It turned out he was wrong though when Eric unleashed his pokemon. It seemed like he would be going with his third choice.

Eric unleashed his third pokemon, a gleaming red pokemon with huge claws and bug like wings. It was his Scizor and it was impressive. Jack was impressed by the pokemon. He looked down at Tali trying to gage her opinion, but again she just stayed quiet and didn’t want to be interrupted from watching the match. Jack sighed wondering how his teammate could be so boring. He went back to watching the match.

It seemed that Eric had decided to get his Scizor to use a Double team attack. It was a good move and made him harder to hit considering there were now copies. Jack was a little surprised that only three copies were made. Then Jack understood as all four Scizor’s boxed the Rotom in. It tried its best to keep its eyes on all four by Rotom by rotating itself to look at each one. It wasn’t sure what was coming next or which one would attack next, and frankly neither did me.

That was, until Eric called out the Toxic attack. Jack knew that toxic was a big helper for catching a pokemon as well as trying to dwindle down its health. It was a good move; he just hoped it didn’t end up knocking it out by accident in the end.

The Scizor then unleashed the Toxic attack. Jack was curious how the attack would work. Would it come from the real one as Jack had thought or would it come from them all? Jack was curious because if it came from all it would be almost impossible to dodge. Jack’s thoughts were confirmed when the toxic goup shot out from all four, towards the Rotom. The Rotom spun trying to find the real one or a way to escape the blast, but it only saw toxic coming from all sides. It took the real hit full on and the toxic goup was absorbed into the poor Rotom.

The poison took immediate effect. The Rotom shut its eyes in mild pain. For now he knew it wasn’t going to hurt too bad for now, but as the battle carries on it was just going to get worse and worse. Jack then wondered what the Rotom was going to do next. It had a one in four shot at hitting the right Scizor and Jack knew if it missed the results would be very bad.

Rotom then answered Jack’s thoughts when it then began to perform its first attack. Jack knew what it was the second it started, it was Rotom’s ice from special move. The room had gotten instantly colder and Jack knew why. It looked like instead of trying to pick the right Scizor copy, it was going to try and hit them all.

The air in the room got cold and began to kick up. The air closest to Rotom began to show signs of fog, and small crystals of water began to form in the air around it spinning around it and moving faster. As the attack built up more snow could be seen and some of that snow hardened. The attack began to expand until it engulfed the four Scizors. Jack noticed three of them began to flicker but not die while the fourth one showed signs of pain. Even though Scizor was resilient to ice attacks, Blizzard was still a very strong attack and it showed in the bit of pain Scizor had received. Jack wondered if that was all Rotom could do to overcome the double team disadvantage. He would have to wait and see if it had anything else up its sleeve. In the meantime Rotom had finished its attack and all four Scizor were still visible and standing.

Jack had to hand it to that Scizor. It was resilient. Lucky that Rotom wasn’t hiding in an oven…

OOC: Yeah I said it was 7500 on AIM, but then I was able to come up with like another 2000 characters since I kinda want to keep this as a short battle/have few posts.

IC: Scizor was able to hit Rotom with the Toxic attack, now it wouldn't be too long before it slowly lost more and more of its health. Of course this could be a bad thing too since Rotom could easily become too weak, and then faint, thus rendering Rotom unable to be catchable. However I wasn't too worried because the battle only just began, and because Scizor could easily hold back its power if needed, also because Scizor won't be powering up its attack stat, or using any incredibly powerful moves on Rotom such as Superpower. Though that didn't mean that I could take it easy on Rotom either, just because it was feeling the effects of Toxic. If I went easy on Rotom it would quickly gain an upper hand on Scizor, and waste no time finishing it. That was something that I refused to let happen. Just because Rotom was feeling the effects of Toxic that didn't mean that it was in anyway going to throw in the towel now, or at all. If anything this would only make Rotom much more determined to battle with Scizor, and try to be it. Rotom proved this as it countered against Scizor with the one move this form is specifically known for, Blizzard. One who saw this had to wonder though, did Rotom do this attack just to damage Scizor even though Scizor isn't harmed much by Ice-type moves, or did Rotom do this out of desperation already to get rid of Scizor's image copies from Double Team? There really was no way of knowing unless you could read Rotom's mind, but one thing was for sure if this was a Heat Rotom then Scizor wouldn't be enduring Rotom's specialty attack, though that wouldn't have stopped Scizor from still going into battle with Rotom to damage it at least it bit. Scizor sure was durable though, all three of its image copies survived the Blizzard attack, and were still intact, I had never seen the image copies be able to withstand an attack in the past when hit head on. Then again most Pokemon don't use attacks that don't do much damage to Scizor, except for when I battle Sneasel back when I visited Mount Oktori, I felt bad for the little creature though, it had to go up against a Scizor and both of its types were weak against both of Scizor's types. Rotom's attack made me thing of my trip there, but this wasn't the time to be looking back at past trips to the park, it was the time to be continuing my battle with Rotom. Blizzard could have also been a way of trying to expose the real Scizor, not so much by trying to do away with its image copies, but by trying to freeze the real Scizor. Blizzard had a decent chance of freezing a Pokemon, and the images couldn't be frozen since they were well, not real. This was no problem though since Scizor did not freeze, and its image copies stayed fine while only taking a bit of damage himself. Though I had to ask myself if this Rotom had experience battling before. A Pokemon that has never battled before, and that has no trainer to give it commands probably could never think of using a move like Blizzard to try and expose a Pokemon that is hiding itself, of course nothing is impossible, and maybe this was Rotom's first battle, and it was just crafty, who knows.

I had to wonder what I should have Scizor do now though. There was a good chance that Rotom could easily see through Scizor's image copies now since it saw them all during its last attack. There always was the option to use Substitute, this would have made Scizor's image copies fade away, but at the same time it would have given the real Scizor a shield that would take the damage for Scizor until it broke at the cost of some of Scizor's health. It was really a strategic move because it could also prevent status moves such as Thunder Wave. Then again I could always just have Scizor attack the Rotom, because there is no telling what move Rotom will use until it actually uses the move. Rotom didn't exactly have the biggest movepool out there, though Scizor's was nothing extravagant either, so most could usually predict what one of these two Pokemon will use. Usually it would always be the same thing, Rotom would use Trick to give the opponent an item that would lock in one move, though it would be pointless to use in this case because neither Pokemon is holding an item. Rotom would usually also always go for Thunder Wave, or Will-o-Wisp, and usually Confuse Ray too, this was usually done to prevent a powerful Pokemon from attacking, or to weaken their attacks, though if I had Scizor make a Substitute then these moves would all fail on Scizor. Scizor were usually just as predictable though, most would generally lead using a move like Swords Dance or Agility, and then they would go on to use an attack such as Bullet Punch, or Bug Bite, because Technician made these two attacks the attacks that Scizor are most known for using.

All four Scizor returned to being in front of me, and set their eyes on Rotom, who was just finishing up its attack. Blizzard certainly made the temperature drop some degrees inside of here, though it wasn't anything too bad since I loved the cold. The next time Rotom opened up its door for an attack I felt like saying "hey shoot me out a sandwich, I'm starving over here," but I knew that sadly Rotom wasn't possessing a real refrigerator, that Rotom was just taking on the form of one, and this made me sad cause I really was hungry. Still I couldn't let my hunger distract me from this battle, I didn't want to screw up what moves I sent just because I was running on an empty stomach. At this point I couldn't help but wonder exactly what move should I use though. I mean I figured I'd still use Substitute, but what else should I use with it? I didn't want to just use Substitute, I also wanted to hit Rotom with a little damage to speed up the process of this battle a bit. I had a lot of various options from moves that all Scizor always know such as Bullet Punch, X-Scissor, Pursuit, and Iron Head. Or I could always go for powerful moves Scizor learns from TMs, or from a move tutor such as, Brick Break, U-Turn, or Bug Bite. I could even throw a curve ball at Rotom and use something it wouldn't even think Scizor would use such as Hidden Power, or Vacuum Wave. There really were so many different options to chose from, but I knew what I wanted to use this time around now.

"All right now Scizor, first off I want you to use a Substitute, then once you're finished with that I want you to hit Rotom with a Bug Bite!" I yelled to the pincer Pokemon who nodded in agreement, and seemed happy that it could finally use an attack on Rotom that got to show off its strength, unlike Toxic.

Scizor's three image copies would be sacrificed in the process of this, but it was for a good cause, besides if needed later on Scizor could always do another Double Team, for right now doing this was the best choice I had. Scizor's three image copies faded away leaving only the one true Scizor in open sight, but that didn't last very long. Scizor seemed to vanish into thin air, and it left behind a small doll in its place. I always wondered how exactly Substitute worked. How exactly could a Pokemon conceal itself within such a small doll? Even a large Pokemon such as a Snorlax could use, and hide within Substitute, and then to top it off Substitute still acts like its Pokemon's normal body. Pokemon sure had so many mysteries out there, and most, if not all of them would remain that way forever.

Once Scizor had the Substitute setup it was going to use Bug Bite on Rotom. Bug Bite was a very vicious attack. The user of it would charge over to the opponent, and usually sink their teeth down on their shoulder area, it was similar to a vampire bite, except that vampires go for the neck rather than the shoulder. Bug Bites secondary effect made it so that if the opponent was holding a berry the user of this attack would eat the berry when using Bug Bite, this usually soften the bite from the attack, though it was still as strong, because the Pokemon that gets bitten, if they had a berry, would have the bite softened due the berry taking part of the hit, but if the opponent was holding no berry then they were forced to take the full force of the bite. Bug Bite was an attack all Scizor owners needed on their Scizor's. It wasn't as strong as U-Turn, or X-Scissor were, but if Scizor has the ability Technician then Bug Bite would be more powerful than the both of those moves. Also Bug Bite could be great to use in a battle if you thought the opponent had a berry, because any berry used in battle was always a game changer, so you could either have your Pokemon get the berries effect, or if it didn't fit that requirement then it could just ruin their berry. Either way it could certainly throw your opponents entire game off of balance.

I stood there and waited for Scizor to make its move, and as I did I could only think of what Rotom will do in retaliation, and if Bug Bite hit next what would be a good move to do because of Toxic also in place. Rotom would no doubt want to cause some damage on Scizor, and perhaps cause it pain in retaliation due to Toxic. There was also the chance that Rotom would just attack Scizor to see what it could do, since most, if not all, Rotom were usually just looking for someone to play with, because they are either bored or lonely. I wouldn't know exactly what it wanted to do here though until I saw how Rotom felt after being hit by Scizor's attack, but one thing was for sure, during this series of attacks the battle was bound to get a lot more interesting.
