OOC: Sorry this took a little while but more stuff went down :/
---------------------------------------------------

NBP-1

I took a deep breath of the fresh air. My feet were shaking the anxiety to start this. I folded my hands together and lean forward to bow.

"Remember, no fire," I said as I looked back up to see my Infernape synchronizing his bow with mine. He quickly nodded his head as he put his fists up.

"Also, this is defensive training. Got it?" I instructed. Infernape simply returned a nod as he stuck an open palm out and motioned for me to come at him. "So that's how you want it to go down." I returned to his taunt. Immediately, I dash at the fire monkey and threw a kick. His meaty hand guarded against it as I threw a punch. The battle continued with Infernape managing to block every one of my hits. Punch after punch; kick after kick. In the end, I became worn out without being able to get a single hit on Nape.

"Wow, you've really gotten better," I said while panting. Infernape simply crossed his arms. While his strength was growing; his ego didn't fall behind much. Suddenly, my PDA vibrated. I quickly pulled it out and saw a notification that a trainer had just asked for a run. Quickly I pocketed the device and dashed down the path. The area became darker as we approached the condemned plant. I quickly pulled my backpack off and checked it to make sure all my items were in order as I awaited my new trainer.

OOC: Not a problem man, take your time. But a couple things, in my Front Desk post I stated that I wanted to change my Skarmory disk to a Porygon disk and subtracted the money, but you kept it as a Skarm disk in my stats. And also, can you roll play in my Rotom Voice Disk? I couldn't find a way to put it in there without it feeling forced or controlling your character too much. Thanks ^^
____________________________________________________

I walked out of the bathroom, waving my hand in front of my face to fight away the foul stench. The people in the waiting room of the National Park Front Desk looked at me strange, as if they never seen someone take a forty-five minute crap before.

Crap, forty-five minutes! I took out my phone and looked at the time. The digital clock read fifty seven minutes past one in the afternoon, and I was supposed to meet my ranger at the gate to the Power Plant at two on the dot. I darted out the door and put my hand where Star's, my Staraptor, Pokeball should be, but it wasn't there. I remembered I hadn't registered Star for this expedition and instead reach for my Salamence's Pokeball... which left me grabbing nothing but air as well. Great, I was going to have to run.

Luckily it wasn't too long of a run, it was a while past the wreckage of the Outer Heavens, where I had just finished traveling through about two weeks ago, days before it collapsed. I could see the Power Plant over the horizon and I saw a figure standing at the gate. I slowed my sprint down to a walk as I came closer to the ranger, until I was standing a couple feet in front of him.

I smiled at the young man and extended my hand, "Hey, my names Ed and I'm here to catch some Pokemon for my gym in Vermillion. Nice to meet you, man."

OOC: I made this post because A) some do a confirmation post beforehand and B) I don't know what you want me to do with the disk. Use it? If you want, you can just say that you took out the player and started playing it. IM me for more details.

A quick hand-scan of my backpack showed that I was fully prepared this time. I packed my Pokemon of course, emergency supplies, and tons of Pokedolls as they always came in handy. The I stood outside the power plant gave me an opportunity to think of the recently destroyed outer heavens. I never even went up there but from what I heard, it was an amazing experience. Being that high up in the sky? I wish I could have experienced it. Suddenly I saw a figure in the distance. He was sprinting at first but slowed down once his eyes came into view of mine. As he was still panting from the running, he extended me his hand to shake.

"Hey, my names Ed and I'm here to catch some Pokemon for my gym in Vermillion. Nice to meet you, man," the trainer said to me.

"Ahh, you must be my trainer. Nice to meet you too. You ready to get started? Have you ever been here before?"

"Ahh, you must be my trainer. Nice to meet you too. You ready to get started? Have you ever been here before?" The man responded.

"I've never been to the Power Plant, but this is my second time in the Park itself." I responded to his second question. "And yeah, I'm ready when you are." I said as I pulled out my Pokeplayer and inserted the Rotom Voice Disk. Various noises began to come from the Pokeplayer, everything from a washing machine to a lawn mower to a freezer to a fan to a stove. It was pretty wild, but it made sense as Rotom was capable of manipulating all of these objects and could take their form.

I looked expectantly at my ranger, eager to get this excursion started.

OOC: Sorry I'm throwing a mart at you first XD. It was the best mon on the list for the entrance

NBP-3

"I've never been to the Power Plant, but this is my second time in the Park itself." Ed answered. "And yeah, I'm ready when you are." Quickly he whipped out a mini stereo-like system and swiped in a disk. What was the disk? It was probably something rare; most trainers carry those because they are in search of certain Pokemon, usually rare ones. The mysterious sounds echoed into the entrance of the power plant.

Something started echoing out of the front door. Was it a Rotom? I could not tell, but volume did pick up. It was a rather harsh and squeaky noise; as it grew louder, I covered my ears with my hands or I would hearing damage. Suddenly a blue entity zipped past us faster than the eye could see. I turned around to spot its fangs, and I instantly knew what it was. The purple wings outlined with blue flapped at us creating a slight breeze.

"You up for a Zubat?" I asked Ed.

As we entered the Power Plant, a high pitch screeching noise could be heard a while in the distance. It grew louder as whatever the hell it was came closer and closer to us, until finally it was right infront of my face, and I was staring into the (lack of) eyes of a Zubat.

"You up for a Zubat?" My ranger asked me.

Even though Zubat evolved into the powerful Crobat, they were quite common. I didn't want to waste valuable time battling a common Pokemon.

"I'll pass, Bill. Let's try to get away from it, but if not I'll buy a Pokedoll from you." I replied.

OOC: I need to see the transaction. Hopefully this encounter is a little more rare for you.
---------------------------------

NBP-4

"I'll pass, Bill. Let's try to get away from it, but if not I'll buy a Pokedoll from you." I replied.

I tried to distract Zubat by pointing at the air behind him. We immediately dashed for the entrance when he wasn't looking. Before we could get inside though, he swooped in front of us again. He was not going to leave us alone. I quickly reached inside my backpack and pulled out a Caterpie-shaped Pokedoll. I had no idea what those things ate but anything was better than nothing. With a quick arm motion, I chucked into a patch of grass nearby. Zubat quickly dashed for it and was not seen again.

"Let's get out of here before he gets back," I said to Ed.

We began walking through the front entrance and saw machines lining the corridors. I flipped on my flashlight; the place was completely dark. That was strange. We installed new light despite the plant being abandoned. Luckily, there was a light switch nearby. I flipped it but it would not turn on. I quickly checked the nearby generator; I could tell it was our generator because it seemed considerably newer. The gears tried to turn but something was stopping them. I started tapping all of them to see if one was stuck when all of a sudden, two of them detached! Two silver gears started levitating in front of us; I was mystified until I saw its patterns on the front side of their faces.

"Looks like Klink wants to put up a fight," I said to Ed.

Bill tried to distract the Zubat in every way he could think of. He flailed his arms around and pointed in all different directions until the Zubat seemingly fell for it and darted off to the right. We attempted to make a dash for the Power Plant entrance when the Zubat swooped back in front of us, raring for a battle. In a last ditch attempt, I forked over a wad of cash to my Ranger and he ruffled through his backpack until he pulled a plush doll. It looked like anal beads or something, I wasn't sure. But whatever it was, it caught Zubat's attention because when Bill through it into a nearby patch of tall grass, Zubat darted over to it.

"Let's get out of here before he gets back," Bill said to me.

"Agreed." I quickly replied.

We entered through the large main door into a dark and creepy hallway. There were cobwebs all over the gears lining the walls. I figured it was supposed to be this dark, but I guess my assumptions were wrong, because Bill had a rather puzzled look on his face as he flicked his flashlight on and shined it on the gears on the wall. I watched him inspect the gears for a second before moving the flashlight beam over to a nearby ligh tswitch. He flicked it up and down few times, but nothing happened. Even more puzzled than before, he began to poke each gear to see if he could jump start them. Oddly enough, one of the gears had eyes appear on it, and it along with a slightly smaller gear disconnected from the rest and floated in the air right in front of Bill's face.

"Looks like Klink wants to put up a fight," Bill said, rather calmly.

"Then let's give it what it wants." I said with a grin on my face.

Bill took a few steps backwards to make room for the battle, and I took position completely opposite of the Klink, twiddling my fingers on my Pokeballs while I pondered on which of my friends to use.

Should I use Skip, the Swampert? He's a Water/Ground-type, and Ground type moves were strong against Steel-types like link, but Klink had the ability to float, so I decided against that.

Kushy the Sceptile? Nah, Grass-types could barely put a dent in Steel-types.

That leaves Diddy the Infernape. He had a double advantage over Klink, as well as a resistance to Klink's main type, so he was the easy choice.

"Alright Diddy, you're up first." I said as I casually tossed the red and white Pokeball onto the ground in front of me.

A short monkey burst out of the red light with white fur and orange skin. It clenched its fist and let its flame burst out from its head, showing it was ready for battle.

"Alright Diddy, first things first. Cripple this little guy with a Will-O-Wisp while were in this enclosed area, then you're going to Taunt him and bring him outside so we can have a real battle." I said quietly to the Fire-type.

Diddy just nodded and gave me a thumbs up, before immediately jumping into action. His eyes glowed an eery blue color and he held his hands out in front of him, palms up. Three little balls of fire slowly appeared hovering above his palms, their intensity shown by their blue color, similar to the fire that comes from a Bunsen burner. He babied the fires for a short while, allowing them to fully develop before turn his palms to face out and making a pushing motion, sending the balls of fire spiraling around each other to the waiting Steel-type. If this attack hit, it could end up burning the Klink, but that was a big if.

If it went according to plan, Diddy would also be able to Taunt the wild Pokemon. Diddy knows how to push people's (and Pokemon's) buttons. One little "come on" motion with his finger could enrage an opponent for a good length of time. Hopefully Diddy was also be able to lure the Klink outside after Taunting it, so Diddy could use his athleticism to dodge Klink's attacks and also use some attacks of his own without being contained by the cramped corridor.

OOC: I'm super sorry about the wait. Midterms are finally starting to come to an end. I was able to make one of your desired effects work but I might make the other work if your next post is good. IM me for details
-----------------------------------------

BP-1

"Then let's give it what it wants," Ed said with a confident grin on his face. He stood and pondered to himself for a couple of moments which was a good thing because entering a battle and not knowing what you're doing could end up destroying yourself. He finally reached for a Pokeball on his belt and tossed it to release one of his trusted partners.

"Alright Diddy, you're up first," he said as a muscular Infernape appeared from the flash of white the Pokeball emitted. Upon locking eyes with his rotating opponent, he pumped his knuckles into a fist and his fiery crown blazed forth an unparallel fire storm.

Ed tried to whisper his orders, but I could slightly overhear them since I was right next to him. "Alright Diddy, first things first. Cripple this little guy with a Will-O-Wisp while were in this enclosed area, then you're going to Taunt him and bring him outside so we can have a real battle," he said to his fire-type. He responded with a simple thumbs up.

I was glad to see Ed thinking strategy; Klink was known to boast a good bulk, not to mention it could dish out hits too. Infernape's eyes began shining a blue color as he extended forth his rough hands. Tiny blue flames that were no bigger than the size of a snowflake began clustering together in his hands. With a force of his palms, the blue ball of intense heat flew at the gear-like steel-type. Klink tried to spin out of the way but not before the blue fire struck it right near the center of one of the gears. It was not exactly the center but the spot looked painful if he rotated excessively. Either way, there was no doubt that it was still a burn. The spot glowed white and emitted steam from the temperature of unimaginable heights. That mark showed no sign of healing immediately; maybe later down the road, but not anytime soon.

Klink was not amused at this, but like its opponent, it too intended to play things out strategically. Suddenly, the gears stopped for a moment and what sounded like a click echoed throughout the room. On a moments notice, the gears resumed rotating at a much higher speed then before.

Infernape intended to screw up its plan. He held out his big hand once more and motioned toward him. Though the gears were rotating fast, I could see the anger shown on Klink's faced. No doubt that its mind had become too enraged to think rationally. The gears began to glow yellow as sparks appeared around them. With a stop and sudden fast rotation, a wave of electricity struck Infernape with an electrical shock. He didn't seem to be in pain from it; the reason he was on his knees was probably because electricity doesn't cope well with the nervous system.

OOC: Just realized something... do I have to RP in the Poison Repellent?
___________

When the Will-O-Wisp attack made contact, Klink was engulfed by the weak flame despite it's efforts to dodge it. Every time the Steel-type attempted to move, it was in visible pain.

The wild Pokemon responded by using what I assumed to be Shift Gear. It's gears appeared to be moving faster than before, showing me that the move must raise speed. Does this guy really want to try and out speed my Infernape? I don't think so. I'll show him speed.

Diddy responded to the stat boosting move with a simple wag of his finger. Normally, this would mean nothing. But Infernape had a way of getting under another Pokemon's skin... or gears... whatever. This gesture enraged Klink, clearly ruining his ability to think straight. In his rage, Klink responded with a jolt of electricity. Being an Electric-type Gym Leader, I could tell by the color, strength, and appearence of the move that it was Discharge. Not a very strong move, especially coming from a Klink, but the electrocution was still enough to stun Diddy for a second. Time to retaliate.

"Alright Diddy, next up is a vicious Mach Punch. Show him what real speed is! Then follow it up with Flame Wheel!" I called out.

Diddy's Mach Punch was a beautiful thing to watch. If it all went according to plan, Diddy would charge full speed towards the Klink, his fist reared back, glowing a bright white color. He would clobber the Steel-type with all his might, sending the small Pokemon flying across the corridor. Without skipping a beat or giving his foe a chance to recover, Diddy would continue his charge towards Klink. After picking up some speed, he'd dive forward, somersaulting as fire engulfed his entire body and he launched himself at the Steel-type, the intense heat of the fire nearly melting the poor creature's body.

Of course, the odds of all that happening perfectly were low, but it would be great if it could happen.

OOC: Yeah, RP the repellant. After the battle would be a perfect time, RP-wise, but as a Trainer, as long as you aren't using anything else you could prob freely use it while your Pokémon's battling. Also hi I be your new ranger.

Klink got smacked in the face with a speedy punch; it was nearly knocked out of range completely from the Infernape's follow up Flame Wheel, with only a few of the flames reaching the Gear Pokémon. It flinched from the heat, trying to cover what appeared to be a burn mark, but that didn't stop Klink from trying to counter. Both of Klink's gears began to rub against each other, generating an electricity that pulsed throughout its body; though the attack would discharge most of it, some would stay and Klink would use it in an attempt to power up.

That was quite a view I got to start up a run, though I supposed it happened when I tagged in for someone. In this case, it seemed that the ranger forgot a rather huge pile of rather important paperwork (partially including shop inventory, and that was watched over like a hawk), and I had to sub in while he worked on what should have been done.

"Alright… Ed!" I had just finished looking over the paperwork made for this run (thankfully, these papers were completed, and I had all the info I needed). "I need to cover for your Ranger. We'll probably have to finish this run ourselves." I looked back at the Klink, still charging. "Introductions are probably best for later though."

OOC: @Siless Thank you for taking my run over. Also, I'm going on vacation and won't be back for a week, so don't worry about getting this post up quick, take your time ^_^.
NOTE TO SELF: RP IN POISON REPELLANT AFTER BATTLE
___________________________

Diddy clobbered the Steel-type with a speedy right handed punch and followed it up with a vicious Flame Wheel. If only DIddy and Klink swapped positions, Klink would be outside right now and Diddy would be able to use his speed and athleticism to his advantage against the wild Pokemon.

That's when I was startled by a young man running up behind me.

"Alright… Ed!" the man said, looking up from a pile of papers he had in his hands. "I need to cover for your Ranger. We'll probably have to finish this run ourselves."

"Ah, great. The other guy kind of smelled anyway. So uh, I'm Ed Fitch, Vermilion City Gym Leader. I'm at the plant to catch some Electric-types, what's your name?" I said, holding out my hand.

The man was about to respond when he looked back at the Klink. "Introductions are probably best for later though." He said, alerting me of the wild Pokemon who was now charging an attack.

Klink had begun to build up some electrical energy by grinding its gears around. This Klink wasn't a fool, he was looking to take advantage of me not paying attention to the battle.

I didn't know what the attack was, so I called out the first thing that came to my head.

"Diddy, use Protect!"

Hopefully Diddy would be able to get the protective bubble shield up quick enough before Klink's attack hit. I had faith in him, as he has great reflexes. That's when I realized the perfect opportunity.

"Follow it up with Flamethrower, as quick as you can!" I called out.

Infernape put his hands out in front of him, forming a transparent green shield in front of him to protect him from any incoming attacks. Before Klink's attack was even launched, Diddy had begun to charge his Flamethrower. He pulled his head back and puffed out his chest, his muscles contracting as I could feel the heat of the fire forming inside the Fire-type. Small bits of the fire began to leak out of Diddy's mouth as Klink launched it's attack. Diddy's eyes widened in anticipation as he prepared to launch this devastating attack as quickly as possible.

BP2 (Vs. Klink Post 2)

Klink's electrical beam surged towards the Fire-type; the shimmering green Protect diverted the energy of the attack away, but some of the electricity stayed behind on Klink to power it up. Though Klink hadn't managed to connect directly, it made itself more of a threat with its charge, and it already looked particularly fast; it could get the next attack off almost instantly.

Just as the Charge Beam ended, Diddy's Flamethrower shot out, ready to weaken the opponent further, but it seemed Klink wasn't just going to take the attack lying down. The Steel-type charged through the flames, spinning its gears at high speed. Though the flamethrower attack was strong against Klink, most of the flames were being deflected; it seemed Klink was capable of strategy on the offensive. Ed had plenty of time to react before a hit, but Diddy's reactions would have to be quick; the flames were slowing Klink significantly, and once that pushing force was gone, Klink would be well on its way to getting a hit in.

I saw Klink clearly power up from the Charge Beam attack, giving him a rise in Special Attack. I knew I had to finish this battle soon.

As Diddy launched his vicious Flamethrower, Klink reacted quickly and smartly. He began spinning rapidly and charged straight into the column of fire. He managed to weak the power of the super-effective attack by a bit, which I found extremely impressive.

Klink didn't let up, he coming charging directly at Diddy, and I knew Diddy's Flamethrower would wear out soon and he would take the attack right to the mouth, so I had to react quick. I couldn't use Protect because it fails when used in succession, and trying to take the attack head on could be dangerous. I decided Diddy would have to maneuver is way out the Klink's attack... but how? I had to be smart about this. What kind of attacks does Diddy have that he can use to dodge attacks.

That's when it hit me. Acrobatics. An attack that required Diddy to leap into the air and use his athleticism to attack. It would be perfect... if it went according to plan.

Best case scenario, Diddy would deftly leap up in the air after abandoning his Flamethrower attack. Diddy's speed and athleticism would be enough for him to easily get out of the way of the charging Klink, and even get a huge opportunity to attack, seeing as how Klink would be stunned from crashing into the wall behind where Diddy would have been. Then Diddy could use this advantage to execute a powerful Brick Break attack, charging it up at the apex of his leap and heading straight towards the defenseless Steel-type, weakening it enough so that I can catch it. It seemed like a great plan, but it could end badly if Diddy wasn't able to act quick enough. But I knew that if anyone on my team could do it, it would be Diddy. Ever since I first met Diddy, I knew he was special. He was so powerful and strong, yet so agile, fast, and athletic. On top of great physical tools, Diddy was extremely smart, and pretty much knew what I was going to call out before I even thought about saying it.

I wasted no time calling out the order. The longer I waited, the lower the chance of this working got.

"Abort the Flamethrower, dodge with Acrobatics!" I called out. Diddy had begun executing the first half of my order before I was able to say the second half. "Then use Brick Break from the top of your jump!" I finished.

I held my breath as the sequence of events unfolded, hoping this would be the last attack I'd have to call out before throwing a Pokeball to catch the Klink.

BP3 (Vs. Klink Post 3)

Acrobatics was a powerful physical attack when the user had no item to hold on to; it almost seemed as if using it solely as an escape maneuver was a waste of effort. At the same time, though, Klink was already wounded, and at this point two attacks weren't really necessary.

Klink's speed drastically increased once Flamethrower stopped pushing it away, but by the time it reached where the flame originated from, there was no Infernape to hit; Diddy was already in the air and coming down with a Brick Break before Klink could even register that its opponent moved. It was a powerful strike, sending Klink reeling into the ground, though Diddy seemed to have caught his hand in the gears in the instant of the attack. The attack went great though, and certainly could have gone a lot worse if an Infernape's natural reflexes were any slower. Klink rose up from the ground slowly. It didn't have much left, but it wasn't going to stop fighting until it was over one way or another.

Everything had worked out the way I planned. Diddy had easily dodged the Klink's attack by using Acrobatics and delivered a devastating super effective hit with Brick Break. Klink was stunned at the turn of events and clearly extremely weakened, so I decided that right now would be the best time to try and catch it.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out an empty basic Park Ball. I twirled it around in my fingers as it grew from the size of a ping pong ball to the size of a baseball. Then, wounding up like a baseball pitcher, I carefully aimed and threw the ball at the wounded Steel-type.

The camouflaged ball came in contact with the Gear Pokémon and sucked it in; like normal, the ball twitched, though with very little energy, and locked almost immediately after the first. I picked up the ball and added it to the pack; I had to hold onto each captured Pokémon, as each visit could result in only three Pokémon officially being added to the trainer's collection.

"Good job. Name's Siless, and I'll be your ranger from now on. Sorry about having to tag your previous one out like that." I looked around to get a bearing of where I actually was; lines of electrical equipment that would be sending energy and signals throughout the plant if it were active covered the place, and with odd surges of power here and there, it was no wonder that Electric-types preferred this area to most others. The only thing it lacked was food for the more animal Pokémon, and even then the Gardens were only a short walk away, so this made for an almost perfect shelter. "Anything in particular you're looking for?"

OOC: Thanks for the reminder haha

The ball shook once, twice, thrice, ding! I had captured Klink!

The ranger picked up the ball and put it in his pocket. "Good job. Name's Siless, and I'll be your ranger from now on. Sorry about having to tag your previous one out like that."

"Hey Siless, I'm Ed. And don't worry about it. Like I said earlier, he smelled funny." I replied. But Siless ignored me and just looked around.

"Anything in particular you're looking for?" He asked me.

"Rotom and Porygon, that's it. I have a disk for both of them, so hopefully they work. Speaking of which.." I said as I reached in my bag and pulled out my Pokeplayer. I hit play and a Rotom cry began playing from the machine. "And hopefully this well help." I pulled out a spray bottle labeled "Poison-type Repellant" and sprayed it all over myself, and a little on Siless. It smelled wonderful, since Poison-types hate clean things.

I gestured for Siless to take the lead. "After you," I said.

The Poison-repellant smelled bad. Not in the same way that Poison-types tended to smell bad, but more of an "overuse of cologne" type of bad. Regardless, it would certainly shoo off Poison-types, so I supposed it was the lesser of two evils.

Ed had me take the lead. I only took two steps before a giant blue ball of electricity shot up from the wire-laden floor, missing my foot by inches. I stumbled back in an attempt to give it room (and to not die, of course) as the energetic ball started forming into a more dragon-like creature. Once the shape was taken, the color faded fast from the form; it seems we had stumbled across Zekrom, the Deep Black Pokémon.

Zekrom was a Pokémon that, according to Unova legend, sought ideals. It may have shown up to judge whether Ed was worthy of catching further Pokémon in the area, or it could have just been right there as we stumbled upon it, or even watching the battle. Either way, I doubted Zekrom would attack unless challenged, and even then I would think it would view it as a test rather than a threat. Still, there could be another purpose for it showing up, but it seemed to be watching Ed closely, so it was probably up to him to make the first move.

A ball of electricity shot up through the iron gridded floor right in front of Siless. He stumbled backwards and scared me, but my fright was instantly conquered my awe when the ball of electricity morphed into a huge black dragon. It began to take shape and I instantly recognized it; Zekrom.

Being a trainer of Electric-types, this was an incredible experience for me, especially since it was the first time I have ever seen a legendary Pokemon in person. The Electric-type looked at me, judgingly. It seemed as if it were waiting for me to make a move. I wanted to show respect, so I did the only respectful thing I know how to.

I began to sing loudly, "I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt, I'm too sexy, oh so sexy" as I looked at Zekrom intensely, seductively unbuttoning my shirt, until I slid it off and my big bulging muscles were exposed. I flexed for a little before continuing to strip naked and sing, "I'm too sexy for my pants, too sexy for my pants, I'm too sexy, oh so sexy." I slowly unbuttoned my jeans and slid them down my legs, I looked Zekrom in the eyes and seductively bit my lip, then I began to barrel roll back and forth on the ground. I kept chanting "ALL HAIL ZEKROM KING OF ELECTRIC TYPES!" over and over and made a snow angel on the steel floor.
