OOC: @ChainReaction01 @Akinai … I am the opposite of amused.

Mental… anguish overcame me even seeing the start of this… spectacle. I sent out my Gardevoir, along with a mental message warning her of events occurring, and in what appeared to be seconds to me Ed was fully clothed and Zekrom was gone. I was almost certain some mind manipulation had occurred, and I wasn't even sure he was clothed at the time. I was just thankful that whatever he was doing was over by the time I actually started remembering things, and that I could hopefully continue without insane shenanigans.

My Gardevoir stayed outside her ball once her initial orders were completed. I figured I should at least introduce the two before something else happened. "Sela, this is Ed. Ed, Sela." Sela shot Ed a glare which showed she was as unamused as I was, but it was about time to get going. "Ready to go on?"

I don't know what happened. When I looked up after my snow angel was done, Zekrom was gone. I looked back at Siless and saw him standing next to a Gardevoir with his hand over his eyes, looking straight down at the ground. He seemed to be using every fiber of his being to keep from looking at me. I don't understand why though, I mean, I think I have a pretty nice body, you know?

I quickly got dressed, insulted that Siless did not want to look at my awesome lats, bulging traps, massive shredded chest, bulging triceps and biceps, chizzled abs, and ripped back. I stood up and walked back over to Siless.

"Sela, this is Ed. Ed, Sela." Siless said, introducing me to his Pokemon.

I smiled and winked at Sela, but she just gave me a disapproving look.

"So uh, shall we continue?" I said as I took out my Voice Player and played my Rotom Disk once again. Only two more shots.

We walked on a bit, into a room even fuller filled with wires and monitors than the last one. Strangely, this room seemed to be active... far more than the normal "working power plant" kind of active; the wires were squirming and the monitors flashing. I almost suggested we back off, but then I realized that there were only a handful of things that could do this in the plant, and they were all of evolutionary families Ed was searching for. Sure enough, a pink and blue form vaguely resembling a streamlined duck appeared on the monitor; we had come across the lair of a Porygon2.

It was an advanced form of the original Porygon, both being man-made Pokémon comprised solely of computer data. Some part of its programming gave it the ability to manifest physically, but as a program it held most of its power in cyberspace. This particular one was the most advanced Silph Co. authorized form, though there was also an unauthorized further evolution that sacrificed defenses for power; it wasn't exactly known whether this newer form was a leaked version from Silph Co. or a hacker's product, but regardless it was in high use today. The whole evolutionary line was popular both for battlers and for collectors, and with the voice disk not guaranteed to work, I was certain Ed would go for it. At the same time, he had a severe disadvantage fighting on what would be far better home turf than the plant itself; Porygon2 had control of the whole room. If Ed wanted it, it would be a tough battle; he'd have to coax it out of the equipment somehow, and it didn't seem it would come willingly.

Siless took the lead and we wandered through the dark Abandoned Power Plant. Every time corner we turned I tensed up, preparing for a ghost or something to pop out. Our feet clanged on the gridded steel floor as we made our way down another corridor, leading into a dark room, dimly lit only by computer screens. I found this to be extremely odd, as my previous ranger and I had discovered that the power in the plant was not working today. Siless seemed hesitant to enter the room, but entered anyway. When we walked through the doorless door way, there was an odd feel to the room. A buzzing sound could be heard, and the wires around the room seemed live. Being the son of an electrician, I knew that this stuff wasn't normal, especially in a place where all the power was out. I walked to one of the wires to examine it, when the wire thrusted itself at me and gave me a shock. I stumbled back and fell on my butt, startled by what had just happened. Was this room... possessed? For some reason, Siless didn't seem as scared as I was, as if he had full knowledge of what was happening.

That's when all my confusion was settled. A picture appeared on the monitor of the biggest computer screen. It looked like a duck. It had a round body that was pink and blue, and creepy eyes that seemed to be staring at my soul. I wasn't about to strip naked for this thing, this was a Porygon. Porygon2 to be specific, the upgraded version of Porygon. It's pre evolution was designed and created by scientists. This form of it, Porygon2, was created as an add on to the original by Silph Co. There's also a third version of Porygon, called Porygon-Z. Porygon-Z is a corrupted version of Porygon2. Through using an item called the Dubious Disc, a Porygon2 can evolve into a Porygon-Z. No one knows who made the Dubious Disc, but it's considered illegal in most regions, as it gives Porygon2 a virus that causes it to transform into the frailer but immensely stronger Porygon-Z. The whole Porygon family are great Pokemon, and I've been striving to own one ever since I became Vermilion City Gym Leader.

You may be asking yourself, why would an Electric-type Gym Leader want a Normal-type Pokemon? Well it's quite simple, really. In gyms, we're allowed these things called Wild Cards, Pokemon that aren't of the gym's type but are allowed to be used in it because they have relation to the gym's type. Porygon's evolution family is closely related to the Electric-type, which is quite obvious as it's currently inside a computer, staring at my soul. But you never know, sometimes the League Organizers don't let that stuff happen. Like when that We Taste Pies... dude that runs the Kanto League didn't let me have Metagross. EVEN THOUGH IT IS CLEARLY CLOSELY RELATED TO ELECTRIC-TYPES. My poor Omega is so neglected! But I'm sure We Taste Pies... would be nice enough to let me have a Porygon-Z. If I could get a Porygon-Z in my gym, it would give me access to not only an extremely powerful Pokemon, but the move Ice Beam as well. Ice is a highly coveted move type in Electric Gyms across the globe, as very few Pokemon are capable of using them. In fact, the only Electric-types capable of naturally using Ice-type moves without tapping into their Hidden Power are Electivire, Lanturn, and Rotom in it's Frost Form. That reminds me, I really have to get my hands on a Jolteon with Hidden Power Ice. That's a force to be reckoned with. A lot of people like the Hidden Power Grass Jolteon, but so many Electric-types learn Grass Knot that it's not even worth it.

I had a decision to make. Do I battle this Porygon2? It may seem obvious, but I do have a Porygon Voice Disk with me, and a Porygon would be much much easier to catch than a Porygon2. But what if the Voice Disk didn't work? I would never forgive myself. Also, what if the Voice Disk did work? That wouldn't be a bad thing. Then I could have two Porygons, and maybe even trade one for a Rotom if I don't manage to encounter one on this expedition. That settles it, I'm going to battle it.

Knowing I had a long and gruesome battle ahead of me, I began to game plan. Right now, Porygon clearly has a huge advantage, being inside the computer where I can't touch it. Not only that, but it's possessing the entire room. From the lights to the wires to the computers. I was in HIS territory, and he wasn't about to just lay down and take it like a good hoe. I had to think smart. First off, what Pokemon should I use?

How about Diddy, the Infernape? He could use Mach Punch to break all the computer screens, and Earthquake to knock out the wires and lights. But on the downside, Porygon2 was capable of using some Psychic-type moves, which could spell disaster for an Infernape, being part Fighting-type. But it evens out, as Diddy can hit the wild Normal-type for super-effective damage. All in all though, it's not about dealing damage, it's about outlasting your opponent, and Diddy wasn't the man for the job, especially after he just finished battling Klink.

So, how about Kushy the Sceptile? He could use Quick Attack to break the monitors in a way that Diddy would of, and he knows Earthquake also. But there's always a downside, and like I said earlier, Porygon and it's evolution family are capable of using Ice Beam, and Ice absoloutley cripples Grass-types, so that's not good. But, Kushy had another card up his sleeve. With access to the move Drain Punch, Kushy would be able to not only deal super effective damage to his opponent, but also recover a good amount of energy from said super-effective attack. Kushy was certainly an option.

Finally, there was Skip, the Swampert. The oldest Pokemon I have with me on this expedition, Skip would be able to deliver a devastating same-type-attack-bonus boosted Earthquake to the room, knocking out an electrical equipment that the Porygon evolution could use against us. Another plus is that Porygon and it's evolutions are incapable of using Grass-type moves, save for Solar Beam. And Solar Beam would be a horrible move to use in this dark abandoned Power Plant, so I don't have to worry about that. What about delivering damage? Well, the only Fighting-type move that Skip knows is Hammer Arm. But, he does have quite a wide range of attacks that could deal good damage to the opposing Normal-type. I guess that settled it, I'd be using good ol' Skip to lead things off against the Porygon evolution.

"Awesome, a Porygon2. Just what I was looking for." I said with a huge grin on my face. I reached to my belt and plucked Skip's Pokeball off of it. "Skip, you're going to lead things off for me. Come on out." I said, lazily tossing the Water-type's Pokeball to the ground a few feet in front of me. He knew by the way he was released that the situation wasn't urgent. He looked around confused, staring at the live sparking wires and the flashing computer monitors. Then he moved his eyes over to the biggest monitor, and he saw his opponent. Although a tad confused, he seemed like he was raring to go, and I couldn't help but flash back to when I met this big guy. Back when he was just a little guy...

I could see the land mass approaching just over the horizon. Soon, I would be in Hoenn. The last few minutes before the ship hit port seemed like hours. Professor Birch had called me and told me he had a present for me, and although a part of was thinking this situation was a little Jerry Sandusky-like, but hey, a gifts a gift, right?

I ran to the front of the ship in order to be the first person off. I made my way down the wooden dock into a building, I assumed it was a shipyard. I was peeking my head up over the crowds of people, since I was told there would be a person waiting for me holding a sign with my name on it. Sure enough, after a solid 10 minutes of fighting through crowds of obnoxious and smelly people, I saw a man who appeared to be in his mid to late thirties holding a sign with my name on it. Obviously, I went over, and introduced myself as myself. We talked for a while before exiting the building.

We walked down the cobblestone road, talking about the uniqueness and sheer beauty of Hoenn. The people there are ones with nature, it's a beautiful thing. After a few minutes of walking we arrived at a large red-roofed building known as a Pokemon Center, where trainers were able to rest and heal their Pokemon. We sat down on the leather couches located in the lounge area. He sat across from me and talked for a while, then held out a red and white Pokeball. I blacked out while he kept talking and just wanted to know what was in the Pokeball.

Low and behold, he opened it, and a small blue Pokemon emerged... it was adorable. It was... ADORABLE. I fell in love instantly. He jumped in my lap and licked my face. He used to be so cute, and now...

Skip thrashed about, ready to battle this Porygon evolution. He looked angry, and I don't know why.

"Listen up Skip, first things first, destroy Porygon2's advantage. I want you to power up with Curse, then use Earthquake, with all your might, destroy all the equipment in the room."

Skip didn't even nod, he just started mumbling under his breath, a ferocity growing in his eyes as his muscles contracted and the veins in his muscles started to pop out. Then, without warning, he let out a ferocious cry and raised his hands high above his head, both in a fast. He slammed down with all his body weight, his eyes were insanely wide and the pure intensity of his body movement and voice was enough to make me cower a bit, and it was MY Pokemon.

The shock wave that followed was incredible. It spread all throughout the room, easily, especially since the room wasn't very big. It's not very often that Earthquake gets used inside a building, and I suddenly became worried about the structural problems that may ensue.

Ed took a while making his choice of lead Pokémon for the battle. I could almost see his thought process as he eyed each Pokéball in turn before settling on the last on his belt; he released from this ball a behemoth of a mudfish. Skip the Swampert was more than ready for battle, and the first move was a big one.

"I want you to power up with Curse, then use Earthquake, with all your might, destroy all the equipment in the room."

Wires wrapped around Swampert, binding him and sending electrical pulses into the mud fish, but they didn't seem to hurt or even hinder the Pokémon much. Swampert didn't need to move much at this point in the battle, and though it probably would have to eventually, Ed's current strategy lowered Swampert's mobility even further. Swampert's muscles bulked up as he became visibly slower. Many strategies revolved around Curse's slowness, but Swampert wasn't able to use most of them. It's biggest advantage with the move, however, is that it didn't have much mobility to lose in the first place, and Curse ended up simply being Swampert's form of Bulk Up in most trainer's eyes.

Swampert's strengthened muscles pulsed energy into the ground; a massive Earthquake attack shook the room and everything in it. One by one, monitors on the ground level of the room shattered, but when all was said and done, two layers of monitors above the broken ones remained relatively unharmed, as did the wires. Porygon2 seemed to have exerted a bit of energy in protecting itself, which may have been why the upper monitors were undamaged. It started its own counter offensive; three coils of three wires each surrounded the bound Swampert, each coil glowing red, blue, and yellow. One of Porygon2's strongest attacks, Tri-Attack, was capable of disabling its opponent with three different status ailments, and Swampert was staring down three different Tri-Attacks right now.

The shock waves pulsed through the room, destroying everything on ground level. The stuff that was higher up was relatively unharmed though, and guess where Porygon2 had escaped to. In retaliation, the wild Normal-type Pokemon shot out wires from high above to bind Skip and hold him in place. Unfortunately, Skip's extra muscle wouldn't help him much here, the more he tried to break free the tighter the grip got. As if that wasn't bad enough, the Porygon evolution then fired a Tri-Attack at the bound Swampert. This was going to hit hard, so I knew I had to act fast.

Should I strip naked and barrel roll? No, that wouldn't help. Should I use Mirror Coat? Maybe, but Skip would have to take a lot of damage. How about Protect? Maybe...

This whole situation brought me back to a previous battle I've been in. Between the binding and the Porygon, it reminded me of a battle that I was a little while back...

"Let's make this a quicky, little guy. Three versus three. I'll do the honors of sending first." The big bald guy said to me with a malicious grin on his face. Why was he being such a jerk? This was just a friendly battle.

"Onix, go." He said, throwing his red and white Pokeball onto the ground in front of him. A huge snake shaped Pokemon emerged from the flash, he was made of solid rock, a dozen or so boulders attached to each other. The look in it's eyes matched that of it's trainers.

This would be cake. Onix was a duel Rock/Ground-type, meaning he was majorly weak against Grass and Water. I could use Kushy, my Sceptile, to out-speed him and hit him hard.

"Kushy, you're up first." I said, casually tossing the ball onto the ground. The bipedal reptilian Pokemon emerged, looking as smug and ready to fight as ever.

"Power up and use Swords Dance." I said calmly.

The Grass-type obeyed and began to spin around, transparent swords appearing and disappearing around him, until he stopped and had a red glow outlining his body.

    "Onix, Bind." the man said.

Onix lunged forward surprisingly fast, I tried to tell Kushy to dodge but it was too late. Onix wrapped the end of it's body around the Grass-type and squeezed with all it's might.

Kushy cried out in severe pain, I knew I had to act quick.

"Quick, use Energy Ball!" I shouted out.

The Sceptile fought through the pain and began to charge an Energy Ball in his mouth, but just as he was going to release it, Onix Headbutted Kushy, breaking his focus.

    "Dammit." I murmured.

"Focus Blast!" I called out. This had to work.

All you could see was a faint red light peaking through the cracks in Onix's body, eventually, the attack was released, and a huge explosion of energy broke Onix's grip on Kushy. Onix was barely hanging on.

"Bind it again." The man said, and it worked. This time, the grip was even tighter, and Kushy couldn't even budge.

I began to call out every attack I could think of, but the health of Kushy was draining quickly. Nothing was working, and eventually Kushy fainted.

That wasn't good, I just lost with a huge type advantage, I have fallen behind big time.

"Skip, you're up next." I said, as my Swampert emerged from it's Pokeball.

    "Bind it." The man said.

The Onix obeyed, and it gripped up Skip as badly as it did Kushy.

"Skip use Hydro Pump." I said.

Skip attempted to fire off a Hydro Pump, but the grip of the Onix was so tight that only a couple drops of water poured out.

I cursed under my breath as Onix's trainer ordered a Headbutt, which hit Skip hard.

With Skip dazed, I was worried he would suffer the same fate as Kushy.

    "Muddy Water!" I called out.

Muddy Water should work, as it only required water to pour from the pores in Skip's body.

Sure enough, it did work, and as the water poured from Skip's pores, the Onix screeched in pain, letting it's grip go and falling to the ground, defeated.

The man returned his Pokemon without any words. He sent out his next, also without words.

A Serperior emerged, raring for battle.

    Shit.

I returned Skip and sent out Diddy, my Infernape. The bipedal flaming monkey emerged, jumping around. The flame on his head burst high in the air, showing his excitement.

"Diddy use Swords Dance." I said.

Just as Kushy had earlier, Diddy began to dance around with transparent swords that appeared and disappeared.

In response, Serperior shot itself at Diddy, full speed, wrapping it's body around the Fire-type and dropping seeds on his head that wrapped around him and began to drain his life. Between the snake-looking Pokemon's binding of Diddy and the Leech Seed attack, Diddy was completely immobile.

I didn't see this as a problem, I knew how to get out of it.

    "Diddy, use Overheat."

Diddy's body glowed bright red, he opened his mouth and fire burst all over, burning the vines from the Leech Seed, and breaking Serperior's grip. Serperior attempted to retaliate with Leaf Blade, but Diddy was able to out-speed it and clobber the Grass-type with a Swords Dance and Iron Fist boosted Fire Punch, knocking it out instantly.

That quickly, I had taken a huge lead, having two relatively unharmed Pokemon to his one.

"Porygon-Z, take it home." The man said.

Take it home? But I clearly was in position to win, especially since his Pokemon was weak to the one I already had sent. This was easy, I'd end this here and now.

However, I was slightly intimidated when the goofy looking pink and blue cyber duck emerged from it's Pokeball.

"Diddy, take us home, Close Combat!"

Diddy charged full speed at the Normal-type, a malicious glow in his eyes as he prepared to punish this Porygon evolution. But just as he was about to reach his opponent, the Porygon-Z shot a rainbow colored beam of energy right into Diddy's face, knocking him back several yards.

    Psybeam.

When Diddy got up, he was clearly confused, and couldn't steady his feet.

    "Diddy, use Close Combat!"

But it was no use, in his confusion, Diddy ended up punching himself in the face.

"Nasty Plot." The man ordered calmly, using Diddy's confusion as a means of boosting his special attack power.

"CLOSE COMBAT, GO!" I screamed, hoping my voice would snap him out of his confusion.

It had worked, Diddy was charging towards Porygon-Z once again. Preparing to KO him and win the battle, Porygon-Z did the same thing as last time. Except this time, the Psybeam was much much stronger. Diddy was instantly KO'd.

I put my head down as I returned Diddy and sent Skip back out. This would be an uphill battle.

"Skip, use Hydro Pump!" I called out.

Skip pulled his head back and prepared to launch a column of water at the Normal-type.

"Charge up Solar Beam." The man said, still calm.

Porygon-Z took the Hydro Pump straight in the face. It did heavy damage, but the Normal-type instantly began gathering sunlight to launch a Solar Beam attack, which would be extremely effective against a dual Water/Ground-type.

    "Hydro Pump one more time!"

    "LAUNCH IT!"

We both screamed at the same time.

Skip launched his Hydro Pump at the same time Porygon-Z launched it's Solar Beam. The two attacks met directly in between the two battlers. At first it looked like they were equal in strength. But then the Grass-type attack tore through the heart of the column of water, smacking the Swampert in the face and KOing it instantly.

I hung my head in shame, and promised myself I'd never lose again.

I couldn't let myself lose to this binding bullshit again. I wasn't going to let Porygon2 get a free hit, so I decided to do the most manly, yet intelligent thing I knew how to do that didn't involve getting butt ass naked.

There was an attack that could counter any attacking move perfectly, and it didn't require much movement. As long as Skip put all of his energy and focus into making this attack work, then it would work perfectly. He had pulled it off in much tougher situations.

Once again, the manliest and most intelligent thing I could think of that didn't involve getting naked.

    "Use Protect."

Ed seemed to be thinking, probably of past events in an attempt to help him in this situation; I doubted that he experienced anything like a Porygon2 possessing a computer system, but as long as he pulled out something, I couldn't complain.

    "Use Protect."

It was a simple move, but a greatly effective one; Protect failed after a time, but it was strong enough to tank even a Hyper Beam from Arceus. Three Tri-Attacks, while powerful, wouldn't break through, though the amount of force would make Protect difficult to use later on in the battle.

A shimmering blue coat surrounded the Swampert, completely encasing it from the outside world. From the surrounding coils of wires, nine beams of red, blue, and yellow patterns launched at the shielding, but they were stopped dead in their tracks. Some of the shielding had frost covering it, and another part held a quick electrical surge, but both disappeared as the Protect halted right after the attacks hit.

Swampert would almost certainly be slow to recover, and Porygon2 took full advantage of this fact. Through its many eyes in the working monitors of the room, it scanned the damage the Earthquake caused, and shifted its color pattern to shades of light blue. It seemed to know how to perfectly counter the Earthquake from witnessing it, but it changed its own weaknesses in the process; both sides would have to be careful with this ability of Porygon2's.

I was a little doubtful of Skip's ability to use Protect while he was being bound the way he was by the wires.

He was visibly struggling to get the barrier up, clearly exerting a lot of mental and physical energy just to block this attack. All we need was a a thin layer; even the thinnest layer of a Protect barrier can defend against Dialga's Roar of Time. I was a little concerned, however, of it's ability to stop multiple moves, such as three very strong Tri-Attacks all coming at once.

I seemed like everything was moving in slow motion. The Tri-Attacks were hardly a second from hitting when a transparent blue barrier popped up around my Swampert, protecting it from the powerful Normal-type attacks. All of the attacks hit at the same time, an explosion of energy occurring on impact. For a while, I couldn't see anything, due to the bright flash of light from the explosion, and I wasn't sure if the Protect had held.

Finally, the light faded, and my eyes readjusted. I could see the barrier, still holding strong. One section of the shield was sparking with electrical energy, from the paralyze side effect of Tri-Attack, while another section was frozen solid, from the freeze section of Tri-Attack. Thankfully, I hadn't used Mirror Coat like I was originally planning. If I did, Skip would be a Swampert-sicle right now, and that would not be good.

Although Skip had done an excellent job blocking the attack, he was clearly exhausted, and would need a little while to recover. Porygon2, being as smart as a computer, recognized this opening and immediately took advantage. Through its many eyes in the working monitors of the room, it analyzed Skip's last used attacking move, and seemed to be changing it's body type in response to it's results from the analysis. It's body colors shifted to a light blue and beige, colors that represented the Flying-type. From my limited knowledge of Porygon evolution family, I assumed that it used Conversion2, a move exclusive to the Porygon evolution family that changes the user's type according to the last move used by the opponent. Since Porygon2 had converted to a Flying-type, it meant he would be immune to Ground-type moves such as Earthquake. Although this may have seemed smart at first, Skip doesn't have many other Ground-type moves, and I never liked using the same move twice in a battle, as the opponent will learn how to counter it if it sees it multiple times. Still though, I admired that a wild Pokemon would be smart enough to take advantage of an opening like that.

With Skip looking fully recovered from it's use of Protect, it was my turn to continue destroying Porygon2's advantage. But to do so, I would have to have Skip break free of the bind. How could I get these wires off of my Swampert?

Well, Swampert is part Water-type, and when wires get wet, they short circuit and stop working. Of course, they also electrocute everything in site when they get wet. But Swampert was also part Ground-type, meaning he was completely immune to electrocution. So, if I could find a way to get these wires soaked, they would short circuit and die. Should I use Water Gun? No, that's not enough water... how about Surf? No, that requires water or moisture already in the environment.

Got it! When Skip uses Muddy Water, water pours through the pores on his body, and is then launched forward, like a Surf attack. Skip would only need to execute the first half of the attack, it would be perfect. The water would pour out directly on the wires, short circuiting them and freeing Skip, while also causing no harm at all to him. It was a perfect plan.

    "Alright Skip, use Muddy Water!"

Brown water, almost looking like sewage (and thankfully without the smell) started spewing from Swampert. Porygon2 saw what was happening and escaped the terminals; though it had to make itself vulnerable, it would be much better for it than sticking in the equipment when it goes offline.

The Muddy Water surged through the room. It only clipped the computer program for minor damage, but its equipment was utterly destroyed; the wires were soaked and immobile, and the terminals shattered from the torrential waves. Porygon2 would have to fight with its own power now.

Porygon again analyzed the data in the room, but this time while flying around at high speeds. It seemed to be afraid of the force that broke its home, and it wanted to be able to counter it. Porygon2's body started to turn shades of green this time as it began to take qualities of grass-types. Not only did this give resistance to both of Swampert's natural types, it also granted it resistance to any surges from the damaged equipment. It seems the real battle was just starting.

Skip obeyed my orders, and murky brown water began to spew from the pores located all around his body.

Porygon2 instantly saw what was happening, and released his grip on the Swampert and emerged from the computer monitor, exposing himself to Skip's attacks.

The muddy water continued to precipitate from the dual Water/Ground-type until the entire room was ankle-deep submerged in what looked like sewage water. Then, with one ferocious grunt and a pushing motion from Skip, the water began to surge forward like a tsunami, straight for the monitors. Not just the monitor's but the entire room was about to be striked by this tidal wave, and Porygon2 was right in the line of fire. With nowhere to run to, the Porygon evolution braced itself for the Water-type attack as all of the equipment in the room was soaked and utterly destroyed. The monitors that weren't destroyed from the initial impact short circuited with the various wires hanging out of the wall and let off a huge burst of electrical power before completely dying. Thankfully, neither Siless, Sela, or myself were injured from the electrical surge. The room that had previously only been lit by the dim glow of computer monitors was now completely dark. Porygon2 would have to fight this battle on it's own, and it along with Skip would have to fight this battle nearly blind.

Skip stood tall and proud in the center of the dark and wet room. The wild Normal-type seemed to be scared of the the force that had destroyed it's shelter and probably wanted to make sure it wouldn't have to worry about said force again. It began to jet around the room, picking up speed every inch it moved until it was nothing but a blur. Then it stopped dead in it's tracks, and it's eyes began to shoot around the room, scanning the damage that had just been caused. This is exactly what it had done a few moments ago, when it scanned the damage from the Earthquake attack and turned itself into a Flying-type. It was attempting to better it's defense against Water-type attacks. I just hope it doesn't turn into a Grass-type.

The now Flying-type began to turn a forest green color and leaves, weeds, and vines began to protrude from it's body as it was clearly transforming into a Grass-type.

    Shit.

I contemplated switching to Diddy, my Infernape. Or even Kushy, my Sceptile. They both would resist the Grass-type as well as be able to hit it for super-effective damage. But then I remembered what I said earlier, this is about outlasting, not beating. Also, just because Porygon2 was now Grass-type, the only Grass-type move it knew was still Solar Beam, and Solar Beam is completely worthless in such a dark room such as this one. But still, now that Porygon2 was Grass-type, it resisted both of Skip's types, water and ground, as well as any electrical surges that could possibly happen from the dead wires. This was certainly an uphill battle, but at least now it was fair, mono el mono.

Hmm, I could use Ice Beam... that's the only move that Skip has that is super effective. Nah, it's too soon. I'll save that for when I really need it, like if he ever decides to try out a Solar Beam. Right now, I just had to get some damage on him and show him who's boss.

    "Skip, use Mud Bomb!"

When Skip uses Mud Bomb, he pulls his head back as if he's about to launch a Hydro Pump, but instead he shoots out tons of pellets of mud. The mud also has a chance of getting in the opponent's eyes and screwing up their vision, making it harder for them to see and ultimately lowering their accuracy. Of course, that side effect was unlikely to happen, given Porygon2 didn't really have normal eyes.

The spurt of mud hit Porygon2 straight on, and though it was knocked around a bit, it didn't seem to take any real damage. It did, however, get covered in the goopy mud, and it seemed to be rather irritated at the ordeal; Porygon2's visual sensors narrowed as if it were any other Pokémon getting frustrated. It was nearly impossible for humans to program emotions like this, so Porygon2 probably made itself grow once it had access to the plant. I couldn't tell, however, if the addition of emotions actually helped Porygon2, or if it would eventually let them get the best of it.

Porygon2 fired a bright beam of light almost instantly. It didn't hit hard, but it hit fast thanks to Porygon2 being able to quickly analyze the situation, aim, and fire. Swampert seemed dazed from the flash, but it was far better than the worst case scenario; Signal Beam was perfectly capable of confusing the target instead. The daze affected maybe the next attack, if that, as Pokémon were used to taking hits such as these.

Electricity pulsed throughout the battlefield, running over both combatants. Porygon2 shook it off, while Swampert only seemed to notice from the flash of light on its body. Porygon2 was definitely affected by it more, but I had to wonder whether the battle would be close enough for the electricity to actually matter.

Skip rared his head back and puffed his chest out, before jerking his head forward and firing tons of pellets of mud, as if they were bombs of mud. The brown bombs flew through the air and hit the wild Normal-type turned Grass-type head on, covering the foresty looking Pokemon in mud, but not causing much damage to it thanks to the ground resistance.

To my surprise, the Porygon2 seemed to be reacting to the mud covering it's "eyes", it began to shake it's head violently to get the goop off of it and clear up it's vision. Was this computer program becoming... angry? How fascinating, every second I spent battling this creature made me admire it more and more. How could a computer program display emotions such as anger and frustration? Better yet, would it be able to control these emotions and use them to it's advantage, or would they get the better of him and effect his decision making. Although I want to defeat and capture this Pokemon, it is still going to be a vital member of the Vermilitary, and I was hoping it would find a way to control these emotions it was showing and use them to make itself stronger.

My thought was immediately broken when I saw a bright flash of white light come from Porygon2. The flash was followed by a bright and rainbow color beam of energy that appeared and disappeared as quick as the original flash had. I recognized the attack as Signal Beam; a move I was fairly familiar with since most Electric-types were able to learn it. Signal Beam had a small chance, about ten percent, of putting it's target into a state of confusion. Hopefully that wouldn't happen to Skip.

Just as the attack finished, a jolt of electricity shot from the dangling wires and conducted with the puddles of water left behind from the previous Muddy Water attack, sending a jolt of electricity across the room. Porygon2 took a bit of damage, but mostly shrugged it off, while Skip didn't even flinch, being a Ground-type and immune to electric.

I couldn't help but be impressed by the attack. It was so swift and accurate, despite the mud in Porygon2's face and the state of mind that the Porygon evolution was in. It managed to catch Skip and I off guard, even though we were looking right at the Porygon2. Maybe this guy was capable of controlling it's emotions after all. Boy, I couldn't wait to capture this thing and get on the battle field with it.

As I was about to order an attack to Skip, I saw him looking a tad dazed. Had Signal Beam's side effect actually worked? It was possible, with how precise the attack was. Skip turned around and looked at me, a slight look of confusion in his eyes, but he still seemed to be with it and focused.

"Skip!" I yelled out, just to make sure he was fully aware.

He fixed his eyes on mine and the look of confusion had seemed to wear off a little bit.

But still, there was a chance of Skip hurting himself in his confusion. Should I use Refresh to get rid of the confusion? That seemed a little extreme, and I should save it for later, in case Porygon2 inflicted a more serious status condition on the Swampert. This battle was tight, and it seemed that every second that passed by, Porygon2 got more and more of an advantage. Now was the time to make a big move, and turn this battle around. I would have to use the only super-effective attack I had on the now-Grass-type, Ice Beam.

"Skip!" I yelled again, to get him out of his confusion even more. "Focus! Use Ice Beam!" Skip shook his head back and forth a couple times to regain his composure. He steadied himself and began to tense his muscles, opening his huge gaping mouth. A small ball of blue, icy energy began to form in his mouth. It wasn't even fully charged, and I could feel the coldness from the attack already. The ball of energy grew and made the room colder and colder, until the murky water left closest to Skip had begun to freeze. A sudden look of ferociousness appeared in Skip's eyes as he let out a roar and launched the jagged beam of ice cold energy directly at the wild Normal-type. As the attack traveled through the air, it froze the murky water on the ground underneath it from the sheer coldness of it. If this was a direct hit, I didn't see how it wouldn't manage to freeze Porygon2. I held my breath, and hoped for the best.

Swampert's roar was deafening, though it didn't intimidate Porygon2 at all. Skip's opponent shot a quick Tri-Attack while Ice Beam launched from Skip's mouth; the two (well, four) beams collided in mid-air to make a massive explosion. Porygon2's programming allowed it to quickly analyze and react to battle conditions, and it had decided to intercept the attack.

Unfortunately for Porygon2, it wasn't prepared for the explosion. Swampert was hit, but it was able to shrug off most of the damage; Porygon2 was not as lucky. As the explosion settled, I could see bits of ice from both attacks strewn across the room. Any electronics that weren't cut short by Muddy Water were certainly done for now. For Porygon2, this was the least of its worries, as its body was now sitting on the floor frozen. Its head remained unfrozen, so it wasn't completely defenseless, but as it stared at its own body in surprise (another… rather confusing action on its part), Ed was almost certain to have a free attack against it.

I could of sworn that the Ice Beam would be a direct hit, but just as quick as it had launched the Signal Beam attack, the Porygon2 launched a Tri-Attack.

The two attacks collided (much closer to the Normal-type than Skip, thankfully) in mid-air and caused a massive explosion. There were traces of fire and electric left behind from the explosion, but the most prominent was the ice. The explosion caused damage to both Pokemon, Skip was able to just shrug it off, as he was a relatively safe distance away from it. As for Porygon2, the explosion was no more than 10 feet in front of it, and so it not only got the brunt of the explosion, but it caught all the icy energy that was produced from the Ice Beam attack and the ice portion of Tri-Attack. A wave of ice cold air was sent across the room as the fire and electric dissipated. All the wires and computer monitors were frozen; if they had any juice left before, they were completely dead now. When I looked at the wild Pokemon, I was in shock at what I saw.

Porygon2 was completely frozen from the, er, "neck" down. It had a look of confusion on it's face, similar to what Skip had looked like a few moments ago. It whipped it's head back and forth, in shock at the fact that it's body had completely frozen over.

I had to be careful, Porygon2 was still too healthy to catch, despite it's frozen state. I had to preserve the freeze as well as quickly deal damage before it had managed to thaw all on it's own.

The only real attacking options I had were Water, Fighting, Rock, and Normal. Rock and Fighting were both super-effective against ice, and I was worried that they would break the ice. Water was a nice non-contact option, but the water would help thaw out the ice, and I didn't want that to happen.

That left me with Normal. The only attacks I had were Tackle, Take Down, and Return. Since I wanted to deal damage fast, the best option would be Return. Return is a move that grows more powerful the closer the Pokemon is with their trainer. Seeing as Swampert was my third Pokemon after Buzz the Electivire and Star the Staraptor, him and I certainly had a close relationship, and I have no doubt that his Return attack would be at maximum power.

"Alright bud, hit him with Return! But be careful, only aim for his head! Don't hit the ice!"

Skip looked back at me and nodded. When he turned back towards his opponent, he didn't have the same look for ferocity in his eyes, but this time a slight smile. I assume he began to think about all the great times we had together as he began to contract his muscles and charge towards his opponent, his right fist pulled back and giving off a bright white glow.

My only concern was that, for the first time all battle, Skip was left completely exposed to an attack from Porygon2. Then I remembered how whenever I go into cold regions, my Pokedex seems to move much slower and seems delayed. Hopefully, the low temperature of the ice had screwed with Porygon2's internal system and slowed it down so that it wouldn't be able to intercept Skip's attack with an attack of it's own.

    BP#9 (Vs. Porygon2 Post 6)

Porygon2 simply couldn't respond in time to Swampert's barrage, though Swampert's attack was significantly less effective as it had to worry about accuracy far beyond what was normally called for in battle; though a Pokémon's head was usually a weak point, Porygon2 lacked the biological functions that made that true in most Pokémon, so except for the visual sensors (which were well protected and covered), Porygon2's head was only as vulnerable as the rest of its body. It still took damage from the blow, but not as much as, say, an Alakazam would in the same situation.

Porygon2 began to glow once the attack was finished, and the ice began to thaw. It seemed to be drawing in the artificial lights in the plant, which had me worried; not many Pokémon had the power to use an artificial SolarBeam. It would take a bit of time, so Swampert had time to get one or two good hits in or maybe even a capture attempt, but if the battle couldn't end or a significant distraction couldn't be made, Swampert would be in a world of hurt.

Skip had successfully charged in and clobbered Porygon2 in it's face, without touching the ice. Porygon2 rolled over from the force of the impact and began to charge up a Solar Beam. I noticed that the ice surrounding Porygon2 was beginning to sweat, meaning it would melt away soon. However, Porygon2 also seemed relatively healthy and would deliver a devastating blow to Skip if he was able to get the Solar Beam off. The battle was about to end, and I had to make sure it ended with a successful capture.

I would need to deliver one more blow to Porygon2 before trying to capture. I thought back to my options from earlier, and decided that Hammer Arm would be an excellent choice, especially since the two battlers were so close to each other.

"Skip, use Hammer Arm, aim for the head again!"

Skip pulled his arm straight back, and it began to glow from the elbow down. Unlike with Return, Skip wasn't preparing to punch, it looked like it was ready to clothes line something, or give it the forearm shiver. Skip barely had to take a step forward before carefully swinging his arm around, like a round house punch, with all of his might, letting out that oh so familiar battle roar. It was incredible to see Skip putting so much power behind the attack, yet still tediously aiming for just his opponent's head.

Without even waiting to see the result, I took out my Super Ball and carefully began to aim at the Porygon2. I would wait until right after the attack made contact to throw the ball, in case the force of the attack shifted the Porygon2's position.

Porygon2 continued glowing, but Skip had none of it, smacking its whole arm across the program's face. Though the accuracy required for the hit to not break the ice severely weakened the blow, it still put Skip off-balance enough to lower its speed, though it didn't seem to matter at this point; Porygon2 seemed to be panting in exhaustion, perhaps a behavior it learned from watching humans go through the plant. Ed took this as a cue to toss a Super Ball at it. The ball hit without a problem, and it sucked in the duck-like program in a flash of light. Though the ball twitched as Porygon2 struggled, it was of no use, and the ball emitted a red light indicating that it locked.

I walked up and grabbed the ball, putting it in my bag next to Klink's ball. Ed had room for one more Pokémon; if he got any more, he would have to choose some to leave behind. I turned to Ed once ready.

Skip clobbered the Porygon2 with his right forearm, and I saw the perfect opportunity to attempt to catch it. I aimed carefully, winding up and throwing the Pokeball like a baseball pitcher.

It soared through the air and hit the Normal-type.

    Wiggle wiggle.

    Wiggle wiggle.

    Wiggle wiggle.

    Ding!

Awesome, I had captured Porygon2. Siless went over to the ball and put it in his backpack, just as he had done with Klink's Pokeball.

"Ready to go? Probably best not to stay here any longer than we have to." My ranger asked me.

I looked around at the damage that had been done. Equipment destroyed, fissures running up the walls, the room flooded, it was a wonder I didn't get kicked out of the park for all that. When looking around the room, I noticed an entrance to a room that contained various household equipment such as a washing machine, an oven, a fan, a freeze, and a lawn mower. Perfect equipment for a Rotom... I wonder...

"Yeah sure, mind if we head into that room over there?" I asked, as I turned on my Rotom Voice Disk for it's final use.

Ed spotted a room full of appliances, expecting it to be a perfect place to find a Rotom. I hoped he was prepared if we did run into a Rotom, because fighting the likes of the Electric-Ghost type on its home turf wasn't exactly the smartest thing he could do; then again, the same could be said for Porygon2, and that ended up just about perfectly.

The lights were on as we entered, but they flickered off shortly after. The light on the far end of the room lit up, and a beam of plasma shot forth to the next closest light to us; as it went from fixture to fixture, the beam of plasma deactivated the light it left and gave its energy to the next. It was pretty obvious to me that Ed was incredibly lucky in meeting this being, but it wasn't just going to jump in the ball.

As we made our way across the demolished room to the aforementioned doorway, my body began to tense up and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I was nervous, yet anxious. I crossed my fingers, hoping that this disk would finally work before it broke.

The Voice Disk continued to play as we walked through the doorway. The noise coming from the disk was odd to say the least. It didn't sound like anything, just a running motor, with a few higher pitched squeals in there once in a while. The squeals were spontaneous and impossible to predict, causing me to flinch every time one happened. As we entered the room, I felt a cold breeze. Panicking, I shot my eyes around the room, studying the terrain. There were a bunch of old house hold appliances, all colored orange. I spotted an orange freezer, an orange lawn mower, an orange washing machine, an orange fan, and an orange oven. All the appliances stood out in the dark room, being bright orange. It seemed as if those were the only things in the room I could see. If there wasn't a Rotom in here, I'd eat my own hat.

Suddenly, one light lit up the room. Just as that happened, a figure jumped from light to light, each lighting the room as the figure entered it and turning off once it left. It stopped at the light closest to Siless and I, and a ominous face appeared in the light fixture. I wouldn't have to eat my own hat, I was face to face with one of the rarest Pokemon known to man.

"I hope you're ready for this…" Siless said.

    I didn't speak back, I just nodded.

I took a moment to reflect on how incredibly lucky I am. After hitting the jackpot and catching Porygon2, I thought I'd be leaving here without a Rotom. Low and behold, on the final use of my Voice Disk, a Rotom appears. Apparently, Rotom don't come to you, you have to find them yourself. And that right there presented a problem for me.

I was on Rotom's home turf. Not only was I battling a dual Electric/Ghost-type, I was battling a dual Water/Electric-type, dual Ice/Electric-type, dual Grass/Electric-type, dual Fire/Electric-type, and dual Flying/Electric-type. Shit.

It didn't matter which Pokemon I sent out to battle Rotom, as it could just easily manipulate an appliance to counter it. For example, if I sent out Diddy the Infernape, it could stay in it's normal form, or manipulate the washing machine to become part Water-type or the fan to become part Flying-type. If I sent Skip the Swampert, it could manipulate the lawn mower to become part Grass-type. If I sent Kushy the Sceptile, it could manipulate the freezer to become part Ice-type, the oven to become part Fire-type, or the fan to become part Flying-type. Needless to say, I had an uphill battle ahead of me. I couldn't take on this Rotom as is. Like with Porygon2, I would have to find a way to destroy it's advantage. Searching for an answer, I began to reflect on my last park trick, when I battled a Ghost-type, hoping the memory would give me any ideas on how to battle Rotom.

Star didn't stand much of a chance, being a Normal-type, against a Ghost-type. The only way he would be able to damage this thing is with Brave Bird, Aerial Ace, and it's couple other Flying-type moves. As much as I would love to be on Star's back, right in the action with him, it wasn't the smart way to do this battle, so I decided I would take this battle to the ground and use Buzz.

Before I took it to the ground, I would have to get the Drifblim to follow. I decided the best way to do this would be to piss it off, and then use Roost to get my self to the ground.

I leaned over and got closer to Star's head, "alright, listen, use Quick Attack on that Drifblim there, then use Roost to bring it down to the ground. But when you use Roost, make sure you circle the Drifblim, causing it to panic and not be able to escape."

Star nodded and took off towards the opponent. It was crazy to be in the battle for once, and not watching it. My hat flew off my head when we took off and as Star began to accelerate more and more, I felt the skin pulling back on my face and I couldn't even keep my eyes open. From there it was all feel. Quick Attack, being a Normal-type attack, doesn't effect Drifblim and other Ghost-types, it just goes right through them. I can honestly say that is the first time I've ever gone through a ghost. It felt weird to say the least. I could tell when we entered, because the weather got much much warmer, but I don't know if it was because of Drifblim's body heat or because of him being a hot air balloon. When we exited, Star immediately began to circle around his foe, slowly descending. I was starting to get dizzy from the circling, my stomach getting slightly queezy, and before I knew it, I vomited. I chuckled a little after though, and thought about how funny it would be if someone was down there and it landed on them. Star, me, and the Drifblim continued to slowly descend, and we eventually reached the cloud line.

It was quite strange going through the clouds; I have flown through clouds before, but only for a brief second. This time, Star and I spent a good ten to twenty seconds in the blanket of clouds. It was really damp and moist in the clouds, it made me wonder if that meant there would be rain soon, or if that's just how they always were.

When we came out of the clouds, there was a plateau of a mountain not too far below us. Star gracefully landed and I jumped off, positioning myself a few feet behind my Flying-type, a typical battle stance.

"Star, use Tailwind and up your speed, then hit that thing with an Aerial Ace!" I called out.

Star nodded and took off in the air, perfectly riding the wild air currents until he was moving twice as fast as usual. Then he flew up to just below the cloud line and began to charge towards the wild Pokemon. I held his Pokeball out and prepared to return him to his Pokeball.

My plan was to return Star to his Pokeball just after his Aerial Ace hit, sending out Buzz in his place and taking what will hopefully be a Thunderbolt. Activating Buzz's Motor Drive ability, and when combined with the Tailwind that Star just set up, giving the Electivire ridiculous speed.

Just as Star was about to make contact, I pressed the button to activate the return mechanism, hoping it would reach him right after he made contact, and I blindly chucked Buzz's Pokeball to where Star was.

As Star came crashing down at the Drifblim, the blanket of clouds above us began to part like the Red Sea and the sun began to shine through, bringing down intense sunlight. I didn't know if this was due to Sunny Day or Mother Nature, but either way, I would have to use it to my advantage.

As the red beam of light made its way towards Star, Drifblim charged at Star while cloaked in a faint purple and yellow aura that collided with the Aerial Ace attack, knocking back both Pokemon as the light made contact with Star and returned him to his Pokeball. I threw out Buzz's Pokeball and my Electivire appeared in Star's place, but just in time for Drifblim to launch an Ominous Wind attack.

"Buzz, use Light Screen, quick!" I shouted out to my Electric-type.

Buzz held his hands out in front of him and a pink, transparent wall appeared infront of him. The Ominous Wind attack hit the wall dead on, but some of it had managed to leak through and hit Buzz.

"Listen up Buzz, hit that thing with Ice Punch first, alright? Hopefully that will bring it to the ground, then charge up a super strong Fire Punch and smack it as hard as you can!" I called out to my starter Pokemon.

    "Electi..." Buzz mumbled.

He held his right fist at his side. It began to become cloaked in an icy-blue aura, with particles of ice starting to form on his knuckles. Even with the extra heat from the sunlight, the ice was not effected at all and I could still feel the coldness from the small, concentrated area. He leaped up in the air to the Drifblim and swung overhead at the dual Ghost/Flying-type. I couldn't tell if it made contact, but when he landed back on the ground, he got into a boxing stance.

    "Electi..." He mumbled once more.

His right hand was at his side again, clenched tightly, as red hot flames began to burst from his knuckles. After getting chills from the Ice Punch, I began to sweat from the extra heat of this Fire Punch. The fire on his fist grew larger and stronger as the sun beamed down on it. Buzz got into a boxing stance and pulled back, preparing to put all his weight into the force of this attack.

"VIRE!!" He shouted, as he thrusted not only his fist, but all his weight forward, wanting to do exactly what I asked and hit the Drifblim with all his might. I was extremely proud of the Electric-type.

A ball formed in front of the Drifblim, and it seemed to absorb the energy of the intense sunlight beating down on the plateau. The ball had become a ball of fire and soon was launched towards Buzz, who was too exhausted from his powerful Fire Punch to dodge, and took it head on.

"Alright bud, use Magnet Rise to get yourself up in the air so that the Drifblim can't fly away from you, then get as close to the Drifblim as you can and launch a Discharge attack!" I called out to the Electric-type.

Buzz nodded, but instead of using Magnet Rise the casual and efficient way, he decided to spice it up. He jumped up in the air, and at the apex of his jump, kicked his feet down and sparks of electricity flew out the bottom of his feet as a light buzzing sound began to come from Buzz's vicinity. I assumed that it was the magnetic power working between Buzz and the ground. Buzz was wobbly for a few seconds before he was able to steady himself, then he flew up in the air as high as he could without deactivating the Magnet Rise, and raised his tails in the air. Blue sparks of electrical power began to spark from his tail tips, as a jolt of electricity connected the tips to each other. Buzz's tails began to whirl around each other, the jolt from before turning into a circle of electricity that grew larger with each quarter of a rotation, until finally his tails were completely coiled together and the circle of electricity had become at least fifty yards from end to end.

When the Discharge attack made contact, Drifblim had disappeared into thin air after it was struck by the attack. It disappeared from sight and reappeared a few yards below where it had been. An ominous ball of energy appeared in front of the dual Flying/Ghost-type Pokemon and was launched straight towards Buzz. The attack collided with Buzz and knocked him off balance. Buzz began to plummet to the ground for a moment but managed to catch himself, steadying himself and seemingly shrugging off he powerful Ghost-type attack as if it was nothing.

"Buzz, use Quick Attack to get in close, then hit it hard with a Thunder Punch!"

Buzz didn't bother nodding to show he understood, he took off at full speed straight towards the awaiting Ghost-type. A blinding white trail behind him as he held his fist to his side, sparkling with more and more electricity every second, until finally his whole forearm was bursting with bolts of electricity. He pulled back and launched his fist forward with all of his might, a malicious look in his eyes. He wanted Drifblim to remember this hit.

Buzz closed in on the foe Drifblim and clobbered the Ghost-type with his fist that was bursting with electrical energy. In response, Drifblim fired a barrage of wind currents at Buzz that swirled around in and seemed to be cutting him. Even though Buzz resisted Flying-type moves, this Air Cutter looked like it was hurting. However Buzz, with the help of Light Screen, didn't seem too hurt by the Air Cutter attack.

"Alright Buzz, stand your ground. Brace yourself and take whatever Drifblim sends at you like a champ." I called to Buzz.

I slowed my breathing and closed my eyes, waiting to hear the sound of Drifblim being burned. And as soon as I heard it, I threw my Super Ball right at the Ghost-type and crossed my fingers.

That's right... Normal-type moves don't effect Ghost-types. But that can be used to my advantage. If a Ghost-type sees an incoming Quick Attack, it won't try to dodge it, and it will leave itself vulnerable to a follow up attack. I would have to keep that in my back pocket.

    Now... which Pokemon to use?

How about Skip? No matter what Rotom did, it's Electric half would be unable to harm the Swampert, although a Leaf Storm from the dual Grass/Electric-type would surely knock Skip out pretty quick. Not to mention he just had that long battle with Porygon2. He need a rest.

Maybe Kushy, the Sceptile? He hadn't had a chance to battle yet and I'm sure he was raring to go. He resisted Rotom's Electric half, but there was too many options for Rotom to switch to and knock him out; such as dual Ice/Electric-type, dual Fire/Electric-type, and dual Flying/Electric-type. If only there was a way to limit Rotom's options...

Diddy! That's it. Infernape is not only a Fighting-type, but a Fire-type as well. Fire melts metal, and guess what household appliances are made out of? Yep, metal. And if he couldn't melt them, then he could use his brute force and Fighting-type moves to severely damage them and make them unusable. And once all the appliances were destroyed, then Kushy would come in and battle Rotom mono el mono. The plan seemed fool proof.

"Diddy, you're up again." I said as I casually rolled his Pokeball a yard or two in front of me.

The short orange monkey popped out of the Pokeball in a burst of light. The fire on its head grew and lit up the room as it knew it was time to battle. But, the Infernape calmed down when it didn't see an opponent. As Rotom was steal hiding in the light fixture.

"Listen up Diddy, here's the plan. See all those orange appliances? We're going to destroy them one by one. Focus on destroying them and not your enemy."

Diddy looked at me. A look of confusion mixed with loyalty was on it's face. It didn't know what was going on, but it would blindly follow my orders, and I admired that.

Now, what to do first? Well, Rotom could easily manipulate the washing to machine to turn into Rotom-Wash and blast the shit out of Diddy with Hydro Pump, so I should probably destroy that first before Rotom could manipulate it.

"Now quick, the square orange object to your left, the washing machine, use Fire Blast on it, destroy it!" I called out.

Diddy turned to his left and spotted said object. The fire on his head became taller. His muscles contracted. His lungs began to fill with fire as his chest puffed out and he pulled his head back. Steam poured from his nose and ears as the fire attack developed inside of his body, until finally it was ready to come out. Straightening his body and taking aim at the object, Diddy let out a battle shriek as a five pointed star of fire burst from his mouth towards his target. It grew bigger and bigger with every inch it traveled. It had instantly turned this room into a sauna from the sheer heat of it, as I instantly began to sweat. I grinned a little, there was no way the metal washing machine could stand up to that kind of heat.
