    Keiru returned his Infernape to its Poke Ball, praising him as he did so. I smiled. It was very important to praise one's Pokemon for a job well done. Once Keiru had finished doing that, he turned to me, grinning.

    "It was down to Fury for actually being successful in the capture. He's a good Pokemon, and he definitely deserves a rest, as does that Magneton," he said to me.

    "Yeah," I agreed, "I'll hold onto the Magneton for now just in case you don't want to bring it out of the Park later on."

    Keiru had completely changed: instead of being stiff, emotionless and formal, he was happy, outgoing and pleasant to be around. I grinned, happy that he was happy. The battle had been wonderful, a truly excellent performance from both Pokemon.

    "So, you ready to continue then?" Keiru asked, grinning. "I'm eager to see the sights, meet the Pokemon, enjoy the scene."

    "Certainly," I said, and I led Keiru down the hallway. We took a left into a sub-hallway that was much thinner than the main one. This hallway was slightly darker, as some of the lights weren't in working order and the ceiling was slowly slanting down. There was more derelict machinery here than in the main hallway - the Rangers had at least tried to clean up the main hallway, only leaving things that were too heavy or dangerous to move.

    I heard a small squeak at ground level. I looked for the source and I saw a small Minun bouncing on a partly broken reclining chair. It squeaked happily at the top of each bounce.

    "Want to try catching it?" I asked Keiru.

    Keiru followed Chainy down the hall, coming to a much thinner hall, the light more dimmed than the other hall. He heard a small squeak, and his eyes found the source, a small Minun leaping up and down on a broken chair, squeaking with enjoyment at the peak of every jump. Keiru smiled, watching the little Pokemon enjoy itself.

    "Want to try catching it?" Chainy asked Keiru.

    Keiru turned to look at Keiru, a grin on Keiru's face, the same gleam that had been in his eye in the last battle again present in his features, his smile didn't even falter, as he glanced back at the Minun.

    "I certainly do." Keiru laughed, grabbing the currently unused Pokeball on his belt, and threw it calmly into the air in front of him.

    A large yellow furred Pokemon formed in front of Keiru, black markings all over its fur, like tribal skin paint. Two large, magnet like objects protruded from the Electivire's back, rising up to just above the Electivire's shoulders. Protruding from its head were two small antennae, yellow in colour like the majority of its body.

    "Vire!" Electivire bellowed, though its bellow was not one of causing fear, more a calm bellow, one that would not strike fear into Pokemon.

    "Hey there buddy." Keiru grinned.

    Keiru stared at Electivire, admiration in his eyes as he gazed at the large electric Pokemon, proud to have such a powerful and blazing Pokemon within his team. Keiru would of chosen Fury for the battle against the Minun, however, since Fury had just had an intense battle with a Magneton, Keiru had decided to let Fury rest, since it had worked hard, and had done its best against the magnet Pokemon. Keiru let out a small sigh, taking the same stance he had done when the battle against the Magneton had started, and studied the Minun thoroughly, watching its action, before nodding, and looking at Electivire.

    The small electric mouse was definitely a cute Pokemon, the way it was enjoying itself by bouncing up and down on a broken chair was just adorable. Keiru thought hard for several moments, and nodded to himself.

    "Electivire, use Quick Attack and get in before Minun can react!" Keiru requested, the gleam present in his eyes. "And after that provide a defensive barrier over yourself with Light Screen!"

    "I certainly do," Keiru grinned, laughing at the prospect of another battle so soon. He threw a Poke Ball into the air which released Mr Yellow, his Electivire. The large yellow beast was an impressive sight, even more so because he barely fit into the corridor.

    The Electivire greeted his Trainer with a calm bellow.

    "Hey there buddy," Keiru replied with a smile. He then studied the bouncing Minun before issuing his command: "Electivire, use Quick Attack and get in before Minun can react, and after that provide a defensive barrier over yourself with Light Screen!"

    Mr Yellow blurred away towards the Minun, moving faster than any creature that size had business doing. It punched the Minun viciously, and since the little yellow mouse-like creature was in mid-bounce at the time it flew through the air, striking a wall and falling to the ground. The Electivire the professionally took a step backwards and placed both its hands in front of it, creating a blue pane of energy that floated in front of it.

    The Minun looked up at its attacker, and got to its feet. As it did so, tears appeared in its eyes, and it began crying. Mr Yellow took an unconcious step forward to comfort the little creature, but then its training reasserted itself and it stood at rest, waiting for its next command.

    Keiru smiled as Electivire managed to pull off the Quick Attack and Light Screen undamaged, but Keiru frowned when Electivire nearly went to comfort the Minun that was crying. It was using Fake Tears in an attempt to gain sympathy, and Keiru was annoyed by this. Keiru's face remained smiling as he studied the small electric mouse, pondering his next move. Keiru's eyes widened as he spotted something down the hallway, a small shimmer of a shape dashing round a corner. Keiru looked back at the Minun, and then at Chainy.

    "I shouldn't of ruined the little guy's fun..." Keiru sighed. "I mean, the Minun is an awesome Pokemon, but I had been so caught up in the moment of catching the Magneton that I leapt at the chance to catch another Pokemon. Would it be possible that we try and escape, maybe with something that would distract the Minun?"

    Keiru looked back at the Minun apologetically, a long sigh escaping him, before he turned to look back at Chainy, a weak smile offered to the Ranger, before lightening up slightly, his smile growing a bit larger.

    Keiru looked over at me with a slightly guilty expression as the Minun bawled its eyes out. I knew for a fact that Mr Yellow's guard would be down now, so the Minun could (and probably would) hit for extra damage. But apparently Keiru had had a change of heart.

    "Yeah, we can try and leave," I said. I motioned to Keiru to return Mr Yellow to return to his Poke Ball. He did so, and we continued down the corridor past the Minun. After we had walked a fair distance I shot a look backwards and saw that the Minun was bouncing happily on the furniture again. There was no trace of tears anyway. I shook my head. It was a cheeky little Pokemon, to be sure.

    Keiru seemed somewhat twitchy, and I knew why. There was a Pokemon watching us, darting out of sight whenever we tried to look at it. It had been following us since the battle with the Magneton, but Keiru had only seen it recently. I put my finger up to my lips, and we moved forward as quietly as we could, hoping to surprise it. We turned the corner.

    And surprised it.

    A Porygon-Z was hovering in midair, making the jerky head-and-arm movements that were one of its trademarks. It trilled a frightened sound and flew through the air backwards, putting some distance between us. Once it was clear that we didn't mean any harm to it, it then made a pugnacious sound, apparently angry with us for surprising it.

    "Want to try battling it?" I asked Keiru.

    Keiru stared longingly at the Porygon-Z, and struggled to restrain himself from proclaiming that he would battle it when he remembered he didn't have the necessary type of ball to capture the Porygon-Z and sighed softly, patting himself down and shook his head, looking at Chainy.

    "I would if I had Hyperballs." Keiru sighed. "Sadly, I did not expect to encounter such a wondrous Pokemon as Porygon-Z."

    Keiru glanced for a moment at the Porygon-Z, wishing he had remembered to buy some damn Hyperballs, and looked at Chainy.

    "So, if you wouldn't mind we could try and escape?" Keiru requested. "And if we don't succeed in passing it, then I'll happily buy a Pokedoll to distract it."

    Keiru glanced once again at the Porygon-Z, sadness strewn across Keiru's face as he stared at the Porygon-Z. He had always wanted one, and he was handed one on a blooming silver platter and he had no Hyperballs. Keiru hated the Gods right now.

    Keiru looked like he really wanted to battle it. He started looking himself over and patting himself anxiously. I knew his problem. He hadn't brought any Hyper Balls. That meant he couldn't attempt to catch any Pokemon that had already evolved twice. This was a costly mistake - Porygon-Z were incredibly rare, and even if he didn't want it (which he obviously did) he could trade it for something amazing. It wasn't particularly uncommon for Porygon-Z to be exchanged for Legendaries.

    Finally, Keiru sighed. "I would if I had Hyperballs," Keiru said wistfully. "Sadly, I did not expect to encounter such a wondrous Pokemon as Porygon-Z. So, if you wouldn't mind we could try and escape? If we don't succeed in passing it, then I'll happily buy a Poke Doll to distract it."

    "Yeah, sure, but let's just try getting past it first," I replied.

    We carefully moved around it, never presenting our backs. The Porygon-Z watched us carefully, never moving except for rotating to watch us and its occasional spasms. After we had moved past it, it darted down into a side room. I breathed a sigh of relief. Those beasts could get really nasty if you were unlucky - I might have even had a problem fighting it off.

    We continued down the corridor, which was steadily getting darker. We were venturing into the part of the plant where there was no power. It would have been good if one of Keiru's Pokemon was carrying Flash, but his flashlight would have to do. As for me, I had night-vision with anti-flare countermeasures in my lens. I'd be fine. And if we needed to Flash in an emergency my Gallade would have it covered.

    As we moved on, I noticed a Pichu sleeping in a little nest it had made out of wires, wood, and a fluffy pillow. The little yellow mouse's ribcage moved slowly up and down as it slept. I didn't particularly want to disturb it, but Ranger rules were Ranger rules. I pointed it out to Keiru.

    "Want to catch it?" I asked him.

    Keiru had pulled the flashlight off of his belt as they had progressed, and had turned it on. The light gleamed down the hall, and Keiru shone the light on the Pichu, snapping the light away from it as it shifted in its sleep.

    "Want to catch it?" Chainy asked Keiru.

    Keiru turned to look at Chainy, then looked back at the sleeping silhouette of the Pichu, its small breaths numbing Keiru's emotions, a feel of admiration coursing through him. Keiru really wanted a Pichu, due to its evolution, Pikachu, plus Pichu was really cute, however, Keiru remembered his brother was attempting to capture a Pichu, which he was doing for Keiru, and he didn't want to catch a Pichu and then his brother handed him a Pichu. Also, the Pichu just looked so cute whilst it was sleeping, and Keiru didn't want to disturb it.

    "I think we should let the little guy sleep." Keiru replied, smiling at Chainy. "It'd be mean to wake him up."

    Keiru watched the sleeping Pichu with a gentle smile on his face. I could understand how he felt. Pichu were adorable, even if I wasn't particularly a huge fan of them. They were popular as pets, even more so than as battlers. Which was probably a good thing, I reflected. Raichu didn't have amazing stats.

    "I think we should let the little guy sleep." Keiru replied, still smiling gently. "It'd be mean to wake him up."

    "Fair enough, he does look like he needs the rest," I said. We moved on past the Pichu, leaving it undisturbed.

    The corridor led on out to a loading bay of some sort. It was completely indoors, but there were roller shutters that would allow access to the outside if they were open. Unfortunately, they were only extended about a half a metre above the ground, and no one had ever managed to find the controls to the shutter doors. A big purple blob was in the corner, eating out of an overturned trash can. The only way I could recognize it was by the jagged black gash around its waist.

    "Want to try and catch that Swalot?" I asked Keiru.

    Keiru followed Chainy, stopping when he heard a rummaging sound, and spotted a Swalot digging through a trash can. A Swalot was a very strong Poison type Pokemon, though it was a bit on the slow-ish side. In truth, Keiru didn't like Poison types that much, though the Swalot was tempting. The Swalot continued to rummage through the rubbish as Keiru watched it, slightly disgusted at how freely it just searched through the rubbish.

    "Well, I don't really like Poison types." Keiru explained. "Let's continue?"

    Keiru studied the Swalot for several moments, watching it rummage through the trash, a slight smile tugging at Keiru's features. Keiru let out a sigh, before nodding to himself, and turned once more to look at Chainy.

    "Yeah, I think we should continue." Keiru spoke up.

    "Well, I don't really like Poison types." Keiru explained. "Let's continue?"

    I nodded. However, we didn't continue through the door on the opposite side of the loading bay. I wanted to check out the doors. It was almost like a Ranger ritual or an written rule to check out the doors whenever you passed them, and look around for the control machine. We could move on once I poked around a bit. I waved Keiru over and saw that we was still watching the Swalot devour the contents of the wastebin.

    "Yeah, I think we should continue," Keiru said to me.

    "Yeah, just let me look around for a bit," I said. I poked around behind cupboards and flicking random switches on the wall, but the roller doors wouldn't move. As I was searching through a broken chair near the doors, I heard a bleating. I dropped to the ground and looked underneath the doors. Standing outside them, eating some crofts of grass poking up inbetween the cracked cement tiles was a Mareep. I waved Keiru over.

    "There's a Mareep just outside," I said to Keiru. If you want to try catching it, we can probably squeeze under this door."

    Keiru watched Chainy try and get the shutter doors open, before stopping at the sound of bleating. Keiru cursed. His greatest fear was alive. He had a deep fear of Mareep, due to a rather inconvenient encounter with a rather aggressive one several years back that resulted in Keiru being in hospital for several weeks. Keiru took a step back, glancing at Chainy, shaking his head furiously.

    "Oh no, not a Mareep." Keiru exclaimed. "Anything but a Mareep. I was put in hospital for several months, a few years back, due to a Mareep. I don't want that happening again. I think we should continue."

    Keiru glanced for a moment back at the Mareep happily munching at the grass outside, shuddering slightly as he remembered the violent Mareep, before he turned to look at Chainy. Keiru remained silent for several moments, studying the clothing that Chainy had adorned for the trip into the Plant, all of the stuff definitely useful in the large, dark building.

    "So, what made you want to become a Ranger?" Keiru asked, looking at Chainy with a deep interest. "I've always had a high respect for Rangers."

    "Oh no, not a Mareep." Keiru replied quickly, backing away from the door. "Anything but a Mareep. I was put in hospital for several months, a few years back, due to a Mareep. I don't want that happening again. I think we should continue."

    A small grin tugged at my mouth, but I admonished it. Everyone had their fears. I, for one, couldn't stand Ariados. Massive poisonous spiders? Count me out.

    We walked back across the loading bay and through the door opposite the one we had entered by, leaving the Swalot far behind. This part of the Plant was still lit, but Ranger occasionally had to make on-the-spot repairs. We were fast approching the darkened areas, however.

    Keiru glanced over at me, taking stock of my Ranger uniform. "So, what made you want to become a Ranger?" Keiru asked me. "I've always had a high respect for Rangers."

    "Well, I ran through the Great Lakes as a Trainer a few years ago," I replied. "I had come to try and catch some strong Pokemon so I could take the Gym Challenge. However, I found myself entranced by the beauty of the Park and all the Pokemon in it. I decided to hang around, and it didn't take me long to pass the Ranger standards. Don't get me wrong, I plan on moving on eventually, but I learn something new every day while I'm here and there aren't that many Rangers around right now." I winked at Keiru. "Besides, the money isn't bad either," I laughed.

    We continued through the hallway, passing darkened rooms that held cubicles for the administrative workers long ago. Inside one, however, I heard a trilling sound. I took a quick look in, and I couldn't believe what I saw. A Porygon2 was using small blasts of Psychic energy to put a broken computer back together. It turned around gracefully, and called a greeting to us. It turned from what it was doing and flew over to us to inspect Keiru and myself, although it kept a healthy distance from us.

    "Want to try and catch it?" I asked Keiru.

    Keiru chuckled slightly at Chainy's reply, a large smile on his face as he followed the Ranger further into the Plant. Thoughts went back to the Porygon-Z which he could of caught if he had remembered to bring some Hyperballs, and a small sigh escaped him as he shook his head at himself at his stupidity to not bring Hyperballs. If Keiru had been thinking intelligiently, then he would of brought Hyperballs, and he probably would have that acursed Porygon-Z by now, and he would be so happy with himself with such a rare capture. Porygon-Z's were highly sought after, highly powerful, and highly useful Pokemon, and having one in his team would of definitely helped a lot with his Trainer career.

    "You know, I have a cousin called Talon who's a Ranger here at the Park." Keiru explained. "Rangers are simply awesome, and I am surprised he is one. He doesn't quite fit the personality of normal Rangers if you get what I mean. My ultimate dream would be to see a Legendary, now that, would be awesome. Just the absolute honour of seeing one is reward enough. You know some people say that if a Legendary graces you with its appearance, then something good is going to happen to you?"

    Keiru laughed slightly, shaking his head at what he had stated only moments ago. In truth, he didn't believe the poppycock some of the other Trainers swore was true, because it was quite frankly so idiotic to tnink that it was some sort of sign of fate that you saw the Legendary. No, it was because you were worthy enough to be graced by the Legendary's appearance. Keiru sighed as he remembered his cousin, Talon, who had become a Ranger just before Keiru had sent in his application form to go on a Park Run.

    "Not that I believe that sort of stuff." Keiru sighed. "I believe that it is a great honour for a Legendary to grace your sight, because not only are they rare, powerful Pokemon, but they also keep the ecosystem in check, and they are rumoured to have been becoming quite a bit more frequent in the Park over the recent weeks, which is quite surprising, if you think about it, they have the entire land to roam, and they keep turning up here at the Park. I feel honoured just being a Trainer in the Park."

    Then Keiru's heart skipped a beat as a trill filled the air, and a Porygon2 came floating out of a room, studying Keiru and Chainy, though keeping its distance. Keiru stared in shock at the human made supercomputer Pokemon, his eyes widened in complete shock at its appearance. Keiru had been so downtrodden after having to leave that Porygon-Z, and then a Porygon2 ups and appears, some high and mighty upper being was definitely being nice to Keiru today. A grin rose on his face as he studied the Porygon2 as it studied him, a small trill escaping the supercomputer Pokemon as it stared back at him.

    "Want to try and catch it?" Chainy asked Keiru.

    Keiru looked at Chainy if he was completely insane. Of course he blooming wanted to capture it, what was Chainy thinking. Keiru looked intently at the Porygon2, muttering an apology to the Pokemon, before unleashing his Electivire, the large white and black furred Pokemon erupting into existence in front of him. Electivire was about the same height as Keiru, and it looked ready to fight, a grin erupting on Keiru's face.

    "Ok, let's do this Electivire!" Keiru encouraged Electivire. "Now, increase the power rate of a Thunderbolt by intertwining it with the energy of a Light Screen at one central point."

    Electivire pulled up a thin, see-through barrier of light, before charging a large bolt of electrical energy, releasing the electricity through one area of the Light Screen wall, about two centimetres in diameter, the Light Screen energy swirling around the golden electricity, forming a short of golden pink swirl, the entire bolt turning into a golden pink shade, as it zig-zagged through the airs towards the Porygon2. The Light Screen closed up where the Thunderbolt had gone through, and Keiru smirked as he watched the Lightbolt course towards the Porygon2, nodding his head at such a brilliant plan.

    Not only was it an offensive move, but it was also defensive, the Lightbolt acting as both a distraction and a damager, whilst the Light Screen barrier would be acting as the defensive wall against a counterattack by the Porygon2. Keiru had contemplated asking Electivire to electrically charge the barrier at the same time, sort of exchanging the two attributes whilst keeping them like they originally were. If the attack succeeded to how Keiru was hoping it to, then it could hopefully deal a nice amount of damage, and possibly leave the Porygon2 open to another attack. Even if it wasn't left open, the Light Screen barrier would hopefully weaken or null the attacks of the Porygon2.

    "You can do it Electivire." Keiru stated. "I know you can buddy. Let's do this!"

    Keiru closed his eyes, allowing himself to focus more intently on his plan, the image of his next choice of moves playing out in his head. Several different plans were streaming through his mind, and he was having trouble deciding which one to pick. Should he go for the paralyzing one, or the damaging one, or the quick-fire one, or the stat boosting one. It was a hard choice to make. The Paralyzation would up the chance of capture, the damaging would also do so, but up the risk of Knocking it Out. the Porygon2. The quick-fire one would be a quick attack or two to slightly weaken the Porygon2, whilst the stat boosting one left Electivire open to attack from the Porygon2, but made Electivire stronger. Keiru let out a sigh, shaking his head. He would wait to see how this played out first before deciding his next choice of moves, as the current attacks could ultimately affect how his next set of attacks played out, and he definitely didn't want to Knock Out the Porygon2.

    Keiru smiled as he scanned the Porygon2's appearance, searching for any weakpoints, anything he could use to his advantage and hopefully stack the Porygon2 with a status effect, thus making it even easier to capture. Keiru was definitely not going to let the damn Porygon2 escape him, not after losing out on the Porygon-Z due to the lack of Hyperballs. At least a Porygon2 could be captured by a good old Parkball. Keiru chuckled, before turning his attention entirely to the battle, awaiting the next turn of events to unfold before him, and he was definitely ready for whatever was around the corner, his body tensed in anticipation. Porygon2 was a formidable Pokemon, very, very rare, skilled in battling. Keiru definitely wanted such a fine Pokemon on his team, and he was definitely not going to give up until the Porygon2 was in a Parkball, and on his team, no way in hell was he going to give up such a rare Pokemon, because he definitely had the right type of ball to capture the Porygon2.

    Keiru patted himself down to reassure himself that he did have the right type of ball, and nodded to himself when he felt the round spheres attached to his belt. a total of four empty ones, awaiting being used by Keiru. The central one definitely had Porygon2's name all over it. Keiru smiled, silently thanking Chainy for helping him find the Porygon2. Keiru placed himself into a battle stance finally, some time after the battle having started, but that didn't matter to Keiru, the adrenaline was pumping through his body, and he was so eager to capture the Porygon2. He was not going to give up. Keiru didn't know what he was going to do once he captured the Porygon2, wondering whether he would remain in the park to try and capture a third Pokemon, or whether he would leave with the Porygon2 and the Magneton. Keiru shrugged to himself, before turning his full attention back to the battle.

    The Porygon2 was definitely an amazing sight to behold, its shape and appearance absolutely exquisite and completely unique to it, and it alone. It was a Pokemon with a majestic appearance, and it was the smartest Pokemon in existence, and it was also the fastest in technological terms due to its supercomputer brain, which allowed it to formulate thoughts a lot faster than humans, even a lot faster than most Pokemon, able to formulate an attack within a split second.

    Ranger Chainy

    ~~~~~
    Keiru shot me a long look as if asking me "are you freaking high?" I knew he would want to catch it, but I had to ask anyway. Ranger rules.
    Keiru threw another Poke Ball on the ground in front of him and Mr Yellow emerged. Apparently Keiru still wasn't prepared to use Fury. That wasn't a bad choice - the Magneton battle had been hardcore.
    "Okay, let's do this Electivire!" Keiru encouraged his Pokemon. "Now, increase the power rate of a Thunderbolt by intertwining it with the energy of a Light Screen at one central point."
    It was an interesting strategy, and I wasn't sure if it would work. I was excited to find out if it could, though. Mr Yellow put both his arms up, palms out, and a pinkish but see-through pane of energy winked into existence in front of him. He then fired a pair of twin electric lances from the black spikes on his back. The lances smashed into the Light Screen, ripping a small chunk off as the passed through. The hole was quickly mended by the Light Screen so there was no weakness. It did look faded already though.
    The small piece of Light Screen carried by the Thunderbolt (which had merged into one stream) spun edge on like a shuriken. It smashed into the Porygon2, and then the Thunderbolt blasted it into the side of the wall. I watched the cubicle walls shake - they were solid cement, but there wasn't much battling room in here. The small spaces definitely favoured the Porygon2. It would be in Keiru's best interests if he lured it out into the corridor.
    The Porygon2 detached itself from the wall, shaking a little to dislodge the small pieces of rubble stuck to it. Suddenly, shafts of light began sliding over its body. It almost looked like the Porygon2 was scanning itself. I looked at it through my eyepiece and I saw that that was exactly what it was doing, except it was changing its type at the same time. When the shafts of light disappeared, it had changed from a Normal type to a Grass type.
    "Watch out, it's used a Conversion move," I said to Keiru. "It's got a Grass typing now."
    This was bad news for Keiru. Grass types were resistant to Electric attacks. And the Porygon2 wasn't done. It launched some purple disks at Mr Yellow, except the disks weren't edge on. They were side on, and they waved around while traveling towards him as if moving through interference. Keiru would have to be careful to make sure Mr Yellow didn't suffer any negative side effects from watching the dancing disks for too long.
    Keiru smiled as the attack worked, sending the Porygon2 slamming into a wall, but Keiru's smile dropped for a split second when the Porygon2 remained still, and he realised it was examining itself. Keiru cursed, now remembering that Porygon2 could change its typing to help it against foes. Keiru narrowed his eyes, glaring at the Porygon2, trying to formulate a plan against it. Chainy announced that it had changed to a Grass typing, and Keiru smirked slightly. If Electivire started to have problems with the Porygon2, then he would bring out Fury to battle instead, since it did have the current typing advantage, but Fury was still somewhat tired out from the battle against the Magneton, and it was also injured to an extent, and Keiru didn't want to risk it getting injured again. Keiru looked around the room, noticing that Electivire would have some trouble fighting in the space, whereas both Fury and the Porygon2 would have no trouble.
    Keiru noticed the Porygon2 unleash floating disks which were side on, in an attempt to confuse Electivire. Keiru glared at the Porygon2, shaking his head very softly.
    "Electivire use Discharge to take those disks out! Aim all the electrical energy in their direction!" Keiru requested.
    Electivire unleashed a burst of electrical energy which surged in the direction of the disks, whilst Keiru began formulating a plan, a smile rising on his face. Electivire knew Fire Punch, and the Porygon2 was now a Grass typing. Keiru chuckled to himself, his eyes gleaming with his happiness as he stared at the Porygon2.
    "Right, Electivire, fall back to the corridor, let's draw the Porygon2 after us." Keiru requested.
    Keiru slowly edged back out into the corridor, which was more openly spaced for Electivire to move, and smiled as Electivire came lumbering out of the doorway, waiting patiently for the Porygon2 to come out of the room.
    Keiru couldn't believe that he had forgotten for several moments about Electivire naturally learning Fire Punch, and had been thinking that the battle was going to be hardfought due to Electivire's electric typing, however, Keiru was now beaming brightly, smiling at his plan which was formulating within his head.
    "Electivire, when the Porygon2 comes out of that room, surprise it with a Fire Punch." Keiru requested, the smile stretched across his face.
    Hopefully, the fire type attack would cause the Porygon2 to type change to water, which was weak to electric, or it would at least deal a nice amount of damage, and weaken the Porygon2, making it a lot easier to capture later on. Keiru nodded to himself, as he contemplated his next choice of moves once the Porygon2 came out and was hit by the Fire Punch. Keiru sighed softly, imagining what it would be like to have a Porygon2. He would be the talk of where he lived, definitely. Adding to that was the fact that Porygon2 were extremely rare, and their evolution, Porygon-Z was extremely sought after, and even more rare. Keiru remembered somebody trading a Legendary Pokemon for a Porygon2, which had thoroughly shocked him, due to it having not been a Porygon-Z, which was definitely worth a Legendary. Porygon2 just wasn't as aspiring, due to the fact that the trade had not had the Dubious Disk, which meant the person had to buy it himself.
    Keiru's hand unconsciously patted at the Pokeball containing Fury, reassuring himself that it was still there, and that the Infernape was alright. Keiru breathed deeply, focusing himself on the task ahead. The battle was going to be a hardfought one, and he was definitely not going to come off as the loser, this he swore. No matter what, that Porygon2 was going to be his, and he was going to make sure of this, as he was going to weaken the Porygon2 enough for a capture. Keiru felt his body tense in anticipation, praying silently that he would capture the Porygon2, as it was such a rare Pokemon, and he really wanted a Porygon-Z, as it was definitely a powerful Pokemon. Keiru studied his surroundings, studying them with a calm gaze, mentally preparing himself for the battle ahead. The battle was definitely going to be a long one, and he wanted to win it, he was not going to lose.
    "Electivire, use Discharge to take those disks out! Aim all the electrical energy in their direction!" Keiru asked his Pokemon politely.
    Mr Yellow growled, and he raised his arms towards the ceiling. A shower of sparks erupted from underneath his fur, radiating outwards, except they were more focused in the forwards direction than usual. The sparks smashed into the Psybeam disks, winking out as they stopped each one. The last lot of sparks faded away just after they stopped the last Psybeam disk.
    "Right, Electivire, fall back to the corridor, let's draw the Porygon2 after us," Keiru said.
    Keiru and I slowly edged out of the room into the corridor, and Mr Yellow slowly stumped backwards, never losing sight of the Porygon2. Fortunately, our lack of speed was what helped Keiru out further. I could see in the Porgyon2's eyes that it was panicking slightly. It wanted to do some damage to the huge Electivire before it got into an unassailable position. So, it shot the first attack that came to mind. Which happened to be a Charge Beam. The thin yellow blast smashed into Mr Yellow. But instead of recoiling in pain, the hulking beast stood up straighter and his muscles tensed. I could see that the electrical attack had activated his Motor Drive ability. The Porygon2's eyes widened further as it realized its mistake.
    We were all outside the corridor now, and Mr Yellow was out of the Porygon2 sight. He growled happily, enjoying the power increase of Motor Drive.
    "Electivire, when the Porygon2 comes out of that room, surprise it with a Fire Punch," Keiru told his Pokemon, a huge smile plastered across his face.
    And that was when the Porygon2 made its second mistake. There were few windows that led to outside, but from those few the sun started shining brighter. The hallways was now easily twice as bright as before. The Porygon2 had unwittingly powered up the upcoming Fire Punch. But for all that it was making obvious mistakes, it wasn't stupid. We waited for it to emerge from the room, but it wouldn't. It knew that something painful was waiting for it just outside that door, and that all the advantages lay with being motionless.
    Keiru frowned as the supercomputer Pokemon remained in the room, and then a smile grew on his face as a plan began to formulate. If he pulled this off correctly, then this would definitely be one of the most awesome plans that he had come up with. If it went wrong, then this would go terribly wrong. Keiru breathed deeply, focusing himself. This was going to be a tough task, as Porygon2 were incredibly strong, and hard to capture, and took a lot of effort to weaken down, and even then it could be very hard to capture them. Keiru was praying heavily that he would capture the Porygon2, as they were one of the most awesome Pokemon ever, and their evolution, Porygon-Z, was definitely even more awesome. Keiru's eyes glanced at the sunlight beaming into the hallway, and something clicked in his mind as the plan slotted perfectly into place.
    "Electivire, use Light Screen again, but angle it so that it reflects the light into the room and blinds the Porygon2." he asked nicely.
    Electivire bellowed softly in response, the thin wisp of the barrier forming at an angle, and Keiru had to act fast as if it worked, it wouldn't last long, and his eyes snapped to the doorway. Keiru knew the Porygon2 was smart enough to not come out, but that was now going to backfire on the Porygon2, much to Keiru's enjoyment. He really wanted the Porygon2, and he would not be happy if he lost it, no siree, he would not. His eyes scanned the doorway, as if he were silently willing the Porygon2 to just float out of the doorway, but he knew that wouldn't happen, and so he had to get his butt moving and get the plan into gear before it was too late.
    "Now, Electivire, charge into the room whilst the Porygon2 is hopefuly blinded. If it attempts to attack, dodge it, and then continue running, and use Fire Punch!" Keiru requested.
    He was hoping that the reflected light from the Light Screen would blind the Porygon2, and then power up Electivire's Fire Punch, which would hopefully pull off without a hitch due to the strategical planning and placement of Light Screen. Keiru's mind was filled with the mechanical plannings that he thoroughly went through whilst battling. He felt at home in battling, as if it were second nature, always able to formulate a plan to strike back against his foes. Electivire bounded into the room, hopefully under the cover of the hopeful blinding light from the Light Screen, the fire around its fist glowing an intense crimson red, surging with energy as it charged.
    Keiru had once been referred to as a Porygon-Z, in how tactical and precise his planning was, but he couldn't flatter himself so. A Porygon-Z was like a supercomputer, definitely a lot faster at calculating a plan than he was, and he could not compare himself to something with so much benelovence and skill in what it did. Porygon-Zs were also extremely powerful, if you also factored in their ability to type change to counter their opponents, and they were formidable. A Porygon2 would be a considerable addition to Keiru's team, and he was definitely never going to give up, no matter what. The Porygon2 was just too good an opportunity to pass up.
    Keiru frowned as he glanced at the Ranger, sighing as he glanced back at the doorway, praying that his plan would work. Slowly, he walked to the doorway, and looked in through it, spotting Electivire charging at the Porygon2 within moments. He looked back at Chainy, offering a smile to the ranger, before turning his attention back to Electivire and the supercomputer Pokemon. The sunlight gleamed magnificently into the hallway, and Keiru squinted slightly as it hit him at the wrong angle, before subsiding within moments to his relief.
    "So, do you think Electivire can beat the Porygon2?" Keiru asked, glancing at Chainy. "Because I definitely do. Electivire is both fast and strong enough to do so, and, it is one of my most favourite Pokemon, and one of my most trusted companions, thus I believe in it entirely, just like the rest of my team."
    Keiru patted the Pokeball on his belt, smiling as he did so. Keiru definitely needed to reward Fury later on, maybe a nice berry of some sort, or something, Keiru didn't really know, but Fury quite honestly did need some sort of reward, after the intense battle it had had against the Magneton, it needed the rest it was receiving, but in his view that wasn't enough of a reward. He raised his head, and looked at the ranger.
    "Do you think we could get something to feed Electivire and Fury once the battle is done?" he asked, looking at the ranger. "That is a bit off-topic, sorry, but they surely would be hungry about now, and we also had a long journey to the park."
    Keiru didn't really wait for an answer before he turned his attention instantly back to the battle, narrowing his eyes as he watched the battle with an intense passion, admiring the skill of both the Porygon2, and his Electivire. The supercomputer Pokemon would be a considerable addition to his team with its power, its skill and its speed, and would gel nicely with the rest of his team. Quite honestly, the Porygon2 would be quite hard to match back home, and he would receive quite a lot of trade offers from the local kids who would want the Porygon2, a small smile rose on his features at the thought of home. He hadn't been there in eight years, having been travelling across the regions, catching Pokemon, and then training them. The park was on his route back to home, where he had been heading to see his family as it was his mother's birthday in a week, and he wanted to be there early. Keiru chuckled as he imagine the look on their faces when he arrived, his Pokemon team in tow, hell they would most certainly be impressed with how much he had achieved, his smile now turning into a grin at the thought.
    Quite honestly, he had missed being home a lot, and his family would definitely of missed him. He also had that promise he had made his sister, to have a Pokemon battle with her. He had left his original starter, a Turtwig, with her, of which she could train, and hopefully evolve. He would enjoy seeing her again, and fulfilling the promise he had made to her about having a Pokemon battle. With this on his mind, he looked at Chainy, and asked a question totally out of the blue, in Chainy's point of view, since Keiru had not mentioned anything about his home at all yet.
    "Do you ever miss being home?" Keiru asked, looking at the ranger. "I mean, you miss the family, your friends?"
    Keiru sighed softly, standing up from leaning against the wall at the side of the doorway.
    "I certainly do." He sighed. "I'm on my way back home now anyway, the park is sort of a small relaxation spot for my Pokemon, as well as me, before I returned home for a long stint of hard work on the old farm."
    Keiru chuckled at the mention of the old farm, a sigh escaping him at the memory of the farm he had worked on growing up, the one his family ran. The good old days were so grand and wondrous.
    "You wouldn't expect me to be a farm boy with my appearance would you?" Keiru joked, laughing softly.
    ~~~~~~

    "Electivire, use Light Screen again, but angle it so that it reflects the light into the room and blinds the Porygon2," Keiru said politely to his Pokemon. The Electivire growled softly and put his hands palm out. The wispy nothingness of the Light Screen began tilting and rotating, trying to point the light in a specific direction. While Mr Yellow was attending to that, Keiru turned to me.

    "So, do you think Electivire can beat the Porygon2?" Keiru asked, "because I definitely do. Electivire is both fast and strong enough to do so, and, it is one of my most favourite Pokemon, and one of my most trusted companions, thus I believe in it entirely, just like the rest of my team."

    I nodded. It was good to see such faith in one's companions. "Well, I think it definitely has a shot," I replied, watching the Light Screen reflect the sunlight. "But Porygon2 are incredibly smart, and this one hasn't really launched much of an offensive yet. I think it is planning something, and you better be on your guard for when it happens."

    Keiru nodded, and something else popped into his mind. "Do you think we could get something to feed Electivire and Fury once the battle is done?" he asked. "That is a bit off-topic, sorry, but they surely would be hungry about now, and we also had a long journey to the park."

    "Unfortunately, I don't have any food on me," I said to Keiru, raising my hands helplessly. This was a white lie, I had a little, but it was only to be used in emergencies. "There are semi-working vending machines scattered around here that we might stumble across, or we can head back to the Ranger Outpost to grab a bit if you'd like," I offered.

    But Keiru had moved onto another topic. I thought that perhaps his mind moved as fast as the Porygon2's. "Do you ever miss being home?" Keiru asked, looking at the ranger. "I mean, you miss the family, your friends? I certainly do." He sighed. "I'm on my way back home now anyway, the Park is sort of a small relaxation spot for my Pokemon, as well as me, before I returned home for a long stint of hard work on the old farm. You wouldn't expect me to be a farm boy with my appearance would you?" Keiru joked, laughing softly.

    "No, not really," I admitted. "Your Infernape and Electivire bring to mind more of a city-dwelling Trainer, and this Porygon2 won't help avoid that image any more." I laughed. "And regarding your first question, yeah, I miss my parents. My little brother often swings by the Park, though, so I'm not cut off from my family. My friends often make trips out here, and we get freaking wasted."

    I laughed in memory of the last time my group had met up. We had decided to talk a walk through Mt Deckbi. We took a Ranger Jeep out with a few slabs of beer and cider and rode a herd of Rhyhorn back to base. That one had cost me a pay cut and a week's suspension. Totally worth it though. Suddenly, my eyes misted over slightly at the thought of my closest friend, but I rubbed at my eyes. Now was not the time.

    Suddenly, we heard a screech. Mr Yellow grunted, taking this to mean he had shone the light into the Porygon2's eyes. He ran into the room, smashing straight through the Light Screen. It splintered into thousands of pieces and drifted to the floor. The small dust-like pieces winked out as they touched the cold concrete floor. Keiru and I rushed to the door to see what was going on.

    The Porygon2 was shying away from the door. It looked like Mr Yellow had successfully blinded it. As Mr Yellow charged towards the levitating Pokemon, his right fist became wreathed in fire. He smashed the fire into the Porygon2's beak-like protrusion, and the Porygon2 was sent spinning into a pile of computers. It hit the ground so hard that some cracks in the ceiling appeared, letting a small amount of sunshine through. Mr Yellow stepped to the side, so that if the Porygon2 attacked him it wouldn't be aiming for us.

    The Porygon2 slowly floated out of the pile of rubble. There were a few dents and cracks in its shell-like skin, but I could see strength in its eyes. It moved slowly towards Mr Yellow, and for a moment I thought it was going to try a physical attack. I was just about to voice the idea aloud when it stopped in the small stream of sunshine. Suddenly, everything clicked. The Porygon2 hadn't accidentally fired that Charge Beam, it wanted the power rise the move usually brought. It's poor battle so far hadn't been because it was panicking, it was just waiting for the Electivire's Light Screen to go down. It had deliberately become the Grass type not to resist Electric attacks but to power up Grass moves. And whenever you were talking about Grass moves and Sunny Day, you were talking about...

    My jaw dropped. "GET OUT OF THERE!" I yelled, but it was too late. A massive lance of shining green energy erupted from the Porygon2's beak, moving faster than Mr Yellow could ever hope to. It smashed into him, knocking him into the wall. Then, the beam pulsed, and it grew to double its size. Mr Yellow was pushed through the wall, leaving a massive hole. I quickly ran to the room Mr Yellow had been pushed into, smashing open the door. But I saw that he had been pushed through the opposite wall as well. I stood dumbfounded by the raw power of the Porygon2.

    Keiru nodded as he listened to his ranger's reply, before turning his attention back to Electivire and the Porygon2, smiling as the plan pulled off seemingly without a hitch, the Porygon2 blinded by the angle of the Light Screen, and then the Fire Punch slammed into it. However, the Porygon2 positioned itself in the sunlight, and unleashed one hell of a Solar Beam that sent Electivire hurtling through a wall. Dust exploded upon the impact, Keiru and Chainy rushing to the hole in the wall, but couldn't see Electivire as it had been sent cascading through another wall too.

    Keiru heard some noises come from further in the room, and saw the yellow and black furred beast that was Electivire slowly lumber into sight, dust splattered all over its skin. For several moments Keiru didn't even recognise Electivire as his, thinking it was a wild one, but his Electivire was distinguished from normal Electivire's due to its eyes being a cyan colour, rather than the standard crimson. Keiru was distraught, wondering what to do. That Porygon2 had unleashed one heck of a Solar Beam, but that took up a lot of energy, even with the sunlight, which meant that the supercomputer Pokemon was effectively immobilised for several moments, enough time for Keiru to get an attack out. However, he was torn whether to return Electivire and bring Fury back out, as the Infernape was a heck of a lot faster than Electivire.

    The white-haired boy sighed for a moment, deciding to continue with Electivire, even if it was slower than Fury, because the yellow and black furred electric Pokemon was definitely able to stand its own in a fight against however powerful a Pokemon was, and Keiru smiled as the memories flooded his mind, all the battles that Electivire perservered, battled through, struggling all the while. Keiru nodded to himself, his attention snapping back to Electivire, nodding at the large beast. Keiru examined the damage done to the plant, and glanced back at his ranger, offering a look of apology for the damage caused, but he definitely needed to remain focused now, as Electivire and the battle needed his full attention.

    "Right, Electivire, that Porygon2 hit you good, but I know you can do this!" Keiru encouraged Electivire. "I want you to unleash a wave of electricity in Porygon2's direction, and hopefully keep it preoccupied."

    Keiru glanced back at the supercomputer Pokemon for a moment, before looking back at Electivire, a smirk on his face.

    "I then want you to jump into the air and block the rays of sunlight hitting the Porygon2, and unleash another Fire Punch on top of the Porygon2." Keiru requested, a glint in his eye. "I know you can do this Electivire, but don't go overboard, I want to capture this Porygon2! So, halve the power you put into the Fire Punch, okay?"

    Electivire remained motionless for several moments, conserving energy, before unleashing a powerful burst of electrical energy in the direction of the supercomputer Pokemon. The electricity wouldn't overly affect the Porygon2, and in all honesty, Keiru wanted it to miss the supercomputer Pokemon, but just distract it long enough for Electivire to get into position and unleash the flaming punch. Electivire bounded forwards moments later as the energy surged past Keiru, and the large yellow and black furred Pokemon leapt into the air, into the rays of the sun, absorbing the energy from the sunlight, and effectively blocking the Porygon2 from getting the sunlight, the ruby red flames bursting into life around its fist, though it was quite a bit smaller than usual, Electivire following Keiru's earlier order to hold in some of the power so it didn't heavily hurt the supercomputer Pokemon.

    Keiru glanced at Chainy, offering a smile to him as he surveyed the ongoing battle. The damage done to the plant evident, and Keiru sighed once more, turning to look at his ranger, a glum look on his face.

    "Hey, I'm sorry about all the damage that has been done to the plant." Keiru frowned, offering an apology.

    Keiru turned his attention once more upon the battle, focusing intently. A strategy began to form in his mind over what he was going to do next in retaliation to what the supercomputer Pokemon would do in response to this assault. The white-haired boy let out a sigh as he examined the supercomputer Pokemon, noticing the small cracks on its body, and frowning slightly, realising he had damaged the integrity of the Porygon2's body, and he felt slightly saddened inside, as he didn't really like to inflict pain upon Pokemon, no matter how much he enjoyed battling. Keiru silently offered an apology to the Porygon2, as a small idea of his next course of action grew within his mind. The Porygon2 was most definitely quite low on energy, and Keiru knew it was still going to take a bit longer before the supercomputer Pokemon could be captured, so he would need to try and weaken it, but without truly weakening its integrity, or health, rather weaken it in some other way, however, due to having no TMs on Electivire the task would definitely be a heck of a lot harder, so he needed to think things through very carefully.

    He had two true choices, the first being to continue hurting the Porygon2, which would effectively make things harder for him when he tried to capture the Porygon2, as he needed to get it weakened enough that it wasn't too weak to continue battling, however, he didn't want to weaken it overly too much. The second option would be to draw the battle out, however the problem with that would be the damage the Porygon2 would do to Electivire, and Keiru didn't know whether he could actually put the yellow and black furred electric Pokemon through the pain, and thus he was torn upon the choice he was going to make about the involvement of the battle.

    Keiru was quite honestly struggling on continuing the battle, ideas were beginning to dwindle as the battle drew on, which further supported the first option of weakening the supercomputer Pokemon even more, however, that could ultimately cause the battle to be even harder for him. He needed to do something, and fast, otherwise this hardfought battle could end up being for nothing if the supercomputer Pokemon fainted.
