    OOC: Please provide links to infor mation about items: White Queen's Perfume, Ranger's Delight, Supreme Park Ball.

    It was so damn cold outside. Luckily, Lumiere was out from daycare and could keep the outpost warm. He was sleeping on the ceiling right above me and I didn't feel any of the exxtreme penetrating cold coming from the outside.

    "Aaaaah winter."

    I was reviewing the file for the trainer that I was taking today. He was an impressive trainer by the name if Ataro. I really liked that name. It was so cool. I scanned down the page for any warnings or personal information. Nothing. Well, I knew that he was well off, experienced, and smart. He had very strong Pokemon and was going to explore at the National Park. That was enough for me.

    I heard a small "Bing!" and looked over at the teleport machine. The light at the bottom was blinking indicating that a trainer was about to come through. I whistled at Lumiere who woke up immediately and flew down to my side with astonishing speed. I Pressed the okay button on the control panel next to the teleport machine and waited for the trainer to materialize.

    I looked at the huge machine in front of me. I just finished registering my documents at the service counter and was immediately taken aback when the Ranger at the counter told me to step into the teleportation device found in the back of the room. I didn't expect technology to improve so fast, after all, my previous Park experiences all had me walking to the Ranger that was in charged of me myself. Speaking of which, both of the experiences were also failures, seeing as the Ranger had to leave and the Park didn't dispatch any other Ranger.

    I shook my head, maintaining a clear mind again. I stepped into the machine which had a portal in it, which was giving off a purple-neon glow. I stepped into it, and within seconds, I felt as if I was minimized into tiny bits of "spores" and sent to the receiving end of the teleportation device. Shutting my eyes throughout, I kept wondering if I would be lost in a limbo world if something went wrong. Suddenly, I heard a "beep" sound and opened my eyes slowly, but steadily.

    There he was, my Ranger with his Pokemon.

    OOC: Due to a bit of my own scouting I'm going to assume that Supreme park ball adds 15% to the rate of a hyper ball. And the Perfume attacts normal type. Correct me if im wrong. :)

    The Trainer appeared looking a bit bedazzled. He shook his head and looked at me for a moment before introducing himself. I smiled and responded in kind.

    "Hi, I'm Jake and I'll be taking you through Mt. Oktori." I hated saying that all the time. I had to think of something clever next time I take someone through. I shook his hand as he stepped down from the teleportation machine and waited. I grabbed the keys to the outpost, stowed away Ataro's file in the filing cabinet, and checked to see that all of my supplies and Pokeballs were in place.

    After I locked the door we began to head to the mountain base. It was just as cold as it had been when I first arrived at the outpost and i was shivering already. The ground was also hard and caked with ice making it more difficult to walk. Luckily, I had my spike boots on and when I turned to check that Ataro was still behind me, I noticed that he had some too. We were set for a good run, I could tell already.

    I began to spy the base of the mountain in the distance, we just had to go through this dell that lead straight out onto the clearing that marked the beginning of the trail to the summit of Mt. Oktori.

    As we stemmed into the path through the dell, I noticed some movementup ahead near the trees. I slowed down a bit, hoping to let that be a signal to Ataro that i saw something. I flipped down some heat-sensing glasses that rangers were issued but noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

    An ice type Pokemon eh?

    I flipped up the lens as we approached the area where I had seen movement, but there was nothing but a bunch of stubby evergreen trees lined up along the sides of the dell. Suddenly, I heard a bit of a rustle coming from one of them. I smiled and poked the tree, which yelped and opened its eyes.

    A surprised looking Snover was staring up at us.

    "You want?" I said jerking a thumb at the dazed Pokemon, and looking back at my trainer.

    OOC: Yeah, it adds 15% to the final capture rate. DarkGardevoir was supposed to say the type but he went inactive after that, I asked Sam though and he posted a list. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3230468&postcount=77

    Jake introduced himself and quickly shoved aside some documents, which I assumed were my data. We walked out to the mountains and my sight was pretty much blinded. The entire area was literally blinding bright, with white snow covering almost anything that isn't white. The surroundings were mostly chilling cold, luckily I had my sweater on. We continued to hike through the mountains. The hard ground caked with so much ice made it difficult to hike, but I had my spike boots on which made it much easier.

    "Hey Ranger Jake, I better use this now before it's too late," I said, while reaching out for something in my backpack.

    I held a perfume bottle in my hands, with the tag on it saying 'White Queen Perfume'. I remembered I had won it at some Park event and the last time I recalled, it was supposed to bring in an additional encounter with an Ice-type Pokemon, which would be really useful in a place like Mt. Oktori. I pressed the hinge on it, and a burst of aroma soon burst into the air. I took a sniff of the smell, but there wasn't any smell.

    As we stemmed into the path through the dell, Jake suddenly slowed down a bit. I knew that probably meant he saw something, as I looked forward and saw nothing but trees. We continued to approach closer towards the bunch of evergreen trees, when we stopped again. There was a bit of rustle coming from one of them, and my Ranger poked the part where the rustle was coming from.

    A small tree-like Pokemon bounced out. To be exact, it looks more like a snow-covered fir tree, with the upper part of his body being white, and the lower part being brown. It stood there, with his two, legless feet that slightly resembles tree roots, and with his green hands lying beside his body motionless. He continued standing there, staring at me with a most awkward stare, as if he was really surprised.

    "You want?" Jake said jerking a thumb at the dazed Pokemon, and looking back at my trainer.

    "A Snover would be cool," I replied, reaching out for a Pokeball quickly.

    I flung my Pokeball, and the flash that emitted transformed into the silhouette of a monkey-like Pokemon with two tails. My Ambipom was completely out of the Pokeball now, while jumping around hyper-actively at the same time.

    "Ambipom, speed up your attacks with Aerial Ace and follow up right away with a Double Hit attack!"

    Immediately after my command, Ambipom began running towards the Snover and was engulfed in streaks of white light. Ambipom almost smashed into the Snover with Aerial Ace, but I managed to notice my Pokemon was also readying its tails for the Double Hit attack, even though the sight was almost blurry due to the blinding speed.

    Ataro first pulled out a small bottle of perfume from his pocket. The Bottle was distinctively shaped like a snowflake and the label was a mere "Snow Queen". He pushed on the top and a surprisingly large puff of pure white perfume sprung from it and formed a delicate tiara in the air. It hung there for a moment before bursting from formation and flying off towards the mountain.

    Weird

    The Ambipom was grinning widely when it realized that it was going to be given the chance to battle.

    "Ambipom, speed up your attacks with Aerial Ace and follow up right away with a Double Hit attack!"

    Ambipom paused for amoment to think about how it was going to orchestrate this combo. Unfortunately, the Snover had realized that it was about to be hit. It gave a devilish little snicker and breathed in deeply. Ambipom decided how it was going to orchestrate the combo and began to glow white, slowly from head to toe run in blinding circles. It suddenly changed its course sharply and bounded towards snover who had reached its maximum lung capacity. It exhaled a whirlwind of icy breath and fragments of icy snow in Ambipom's driection. The storm smashed into Ambipom midair, which slowed him a little. Ambipom was obviously hit hard as it yelped in pain, but it was already going too fast to be stopped. It seemed that Ambipom was cartwheeling through the air. Its upper body glowed white with the energy that Aerial Ace produces and its tails and lower body glowed purple with the energy that indicated Double Hit.

    It smashed into Snover with a mighty force. Its head executed the first attack before its tails whipped around and smashed one after another into Snover. Snover was smashed back into a snow drift and Ambipom leaped back slowing down to reveal small scratches and bruises on its body. Both pokemon were hurt but neither was backing down yet.

    Ambipom looked like it was having fun.

    I frowned in disappointment. Ambipom didn't manage to execute the combo too smoothly, I realized I should have had phrased my command to make it easier for him to understand.

    "Sorry Ambipom, I could have phrased the attacks simpler for you to understand," I told him, assuring him that it wasn't his fault. "Although, nice job on the damages dealt!"

    I looked at my Pokemon, grinning from ear to ear. He was obviously having fun in this battle. I knew I needed to make Snover have some kind of status problem in order to make the capture easier. It was still struggling to get up from the pile of snow drift that it was smashed into earlier, but Ambipom was already jumping around, waiting for my commands and ready to execute it anytime.

    "Ambipom, use Thunder Wave on the Snover right now, to trap him in the electrical coils of your attack. Then, take advantage of the coils as conductors immediately by using your Shock Wave attack on Snover!"

    Without missing a beat, Ambipom raised its tails high up and it started to glow in a dazzling yellow. A small surge of electrical energy soon formed between Ambipom's tails, as it was shot at the Snover from both directions, rendering the target of the Thunder Wave unable to dodge it usually. The butterscotch-yellow glow remained on Ambipom's tails though, as a larger surge of electricity was charged between the tails.

    I watched the Snover as it was standing there still motionless. I don't know if it can manage to pull out any last minute attack to dodge the Thunder Wave that was coming from both directions. However, it didn't looked as speedy as Ambipom was and regardless, my Pokemon was ready anytime, to launch the Shock Wave attack.

    The Snover stood up and grinned at Ambipom who responded in kind. Although they were locked in an intense battle, the two were bonding.
    Snover rubbed its hands together softly. A warm greenish light began to emanate from them as if she was calling forth some sort of power. It reached down and touched the snow, which melted at its touch until the hard ground was visible. It placed its hands on the ground and paused as if waiting.

    Ataro, who didn't seem to be paying attention to the display, but rather trying to formulate Ambipom's next attack, brightened. It seemed he had the next move.

    "Ambipom, use Thunder Wave on the Snover right now, to trap him in the electrical coils of your attack. Then, take advantage of the coils as conductors immediately by using your Shock Wave attack on Snover!"

    Ambipom began to swing its tails in circles as they glowed bright neon yellow. It was creating electrical coils that would immobilize Snover. When it was fully charged, it aimed its tails at Snover and sent a stream of electircal enercy spiraling through the air towards the defending Pokemon. The energy coiled around Snover tightly like some bizzare translucent snake. The coils flashed brightly shooting paralyzing energy into Snovers body.

    Ambipom took the residual energy in his tail and smashed them on the ground creating a wave of electricity that shot outwards. The wave smashed into Snover, but it didn't seem to be very perturbed by it. the Paralyzation had set in and it was gritting its teeth in pain.

    Suddenly, Snover clapped its hands against the ground sending a similar green energy through the ground. THe snow where ambipom was standing was suddenly full of grassy vines and roots. The greenery coiled tightly around Ambipoms legs and jerked backwards, causing him to faceplant in the snow and rock and sustain a substantial amount of damage.

    I noticed that both of them had a sort of bonding, even though they were battling. This was most probably because my Ambipom was of a Jolly nature, which meant that he normally would befriend wild Pokemon even though attacking them. This was probably the same case for Snover.

    Though, I noticed my Pokemon was starting to get tired. He tried to stand straight, but couldn't help slouching a bit as he continued to sweat profusely. The Grass Knot dealt out by Snover, together with the Blizzard, has started to take its toll on Ambipom.

    However, I noticed that there was a mini-tunnel between Ambipom and Snover. That must have been the tunnel created when Grass Knot was used. It would be a perfect way to attack Snover without having Snover herself dodge the attack. All I had to do was to distract it first...

    "Ambipom, hang on. We need to stop it from attacking you any further, try and immobilize it with your Attract! I'm sure that will help you guys to bond better too." I said, chuckling at the thought that I had in mind. "Once you're done with the open affection, use your Hidden Power (Poison) and blast it into the hole right beneath you!"

    I looked ahead at the Snover again. Obviously tired like Ambipom was, except the Snover was gritting her teeth in pain due to the paralysis from Thunder Wave. I just needed her health down a bit more, than this might be a successful capture.

    Both Pokemon were looking weaker. Ambipom had merely been lowered in terms of hp, but Snover was struggling to even move due to the paralysis that it had sustained. It was kneeling on the ground and barely lifting its head to see what Ambipom was doing. Its eyes flashed blue for a moment, but it died as quickly as it had come.

    Ataro laid out a plan for Ambipom. Ambipom was to use attract, which it didn't seem to have a problem with (I know I chuckled a bit), and then it was to use Hidden power on the tunnel that the grass knot had created between it and Snover as a focusing instrument. I was impressed. Using an opponents moves against it was a very complex form of battling strategy that one didn't see very often anymore. I watched to see how the moves would play out.

    Ambipom looked straight out at Snover and smiled suggestively. Snover perked up noticably as its eyes and head shifted towards Ambipom. Ambipom laughed slowly and sensuously as if to invite Snover to somwhere on a date. Snover looked fixed in attention.

    Suddenly, Ambipom's tails be gan to glow white and then the deepest of purple. Ambipom shot the energy at the hole at its feet and the barrage began to hit the dazed Snover. Snover, whose attention was fixed on Ambipom, was caught off guard when the Hidden Power attack came from the ground and struck him knocking him back into the snow. It looked angry at the hole and brought its hands together with blue energy. As the energy pent up it brought them closer to its chest and when it reached its peak, it shot its hands out in front of it towards the hole.

    A gush of water went smashing throught the hole and came roaring out the other side and into Ambipom. Ambipom was knocked back just as it had done to Snover before.

    Both Pokemon were quite weak, but it was obvious that Snover was weaker. Wracking with paralysis, he was having trouble getting up from the ground and had one eye clenched shut.

    "I'd go for the capture now. And I think its weak enough so that a park ball would be sufficient," I chimed.

    "Nice work," I grinned, praising my Pokemon for a job well done. Ambipom waved its tail at me to show me a "peace" sign, making me chuckle at the sight of that. I knew he would have turned around definitely, and hopped around to celebrate, but he knew he had to concentrate on the battle still. Ambipom stood there now, with a mix of water and sweat dripping profusely from his lavender-purple colored body. His legs were spread out, like in a battle stance, as he prepared for my next command, if there was one.

    I looked at the wild Pokemon's condition, and decided quickly if I should continue lowering its health or just attempt to capture it now. The Snover was obviously struggling, as it was pretty much forced to lay down on the ground, since it was really tired. She desperately tried to stand back up by using her branch-like arms to push herself back up, but it was useless. Even without the tiredness, she was having difficulty moving about with both the paralysis and the infatuation anyway.

    As if my Ranger could read my mind, "I'd go for the capture now. And I think its weak enough so that a park ball would be sufficient." I nodded in agreement with him, and quickly grabbed one of the Parkballs I had with me. Unlike a normal Pokeball which was red on the top and white on the bottom, the Parkball was manufactured so that the red part is orange-colored instead. I threw my Parkball at the Snover, as the ball opened upon contact with Snover's body. A flash of red light emerged from within the Parkball, and enveloped the Snover, minimizing it at the same time, trapping it within the Parkball.

    The Parkball dropped onto the ground, with the button-like section in the middle of the Parkball flashing red continuously. It wiggled profusely, as I clenched my fists nervously in wait. Ambipom too, poked his head further out, staring at the wiggling Parkball intensely, hoping with me that our first capture in this area would be successful.

    OOC: SO CLOSE. 151 characters off. Close the gap and is a sure catch (prolly).

    THe ball wiggled furiously, but in the end it released the Snover back out. Ugh! It was so frustrating when a weak pokemon doesnt want to be captured. The Snover looked weak from the sturggle of fighting against the ball. A jolt of yellow sparkles hit it and it collapsed on the ground moaning. Paralysis had set in.

    "Looks like you have another chance. Go for it! I'm sure you'll have better luck this time!"

    The ball wriggled furiously, but just when it looked to be the final click, the sphere opened up again. The Snover emerged from the blast of red light and was even more tired than before, after struggling to escape the Parkball. She tried to move, but suddenly froze in paralysis when the electrical sparks sizzled around her body.

    "Looks like you have another chance. Go for it! I'm sure you'll have better luck this time!"

    Hopefully. I thought. Grabbing my Parkball again, I flung it at the Snover again. This time, fingers crossed.

    OOC:nature for the Snover?

    Once again Ataro chucked the Park ball at the Snover, which was lying weak on the ground now. The pokemon was transformed into a shapeless translucent red light and was sucked into the mirror-like interior of the small ball. It wriggled a few times. It looked as if the park ball was going to give. I bit my lip in anticipation.

    Ding!

    The Ball flashed red and lay still on the tundra.

    "Congrats on your now Snover!" I smiled at Ataro who strided over to pick up his Pokemon and latch it on his belt. I sighed. That ws only the first pokemon that we'd met and already there was this much excitement. I looked over at Ambipom.

    "Do you wanna heal your Pokemon before we continue?"

    OOC: Uhh, is it okay if I pick the Nature later?

    Finally, the ball clicked shut once and for all. The capture was complete.

    "Congrats on your now Snover!" Jake said, as I walked over to pick up my first Pokemon caught in the adventure. I latched it onto my belt and ruffled my hand through Ambipom's hair. He was clearly enjoying the attention as I proceeded to pat it.

    "Thanks, Ambipom!" As if we synchronized this before, my Ambipom immediately jumped around happily again, as a reply to my praising words.

    "Do you wanna heal your Pokemon before we continue?"

    "Yeah... Ambipom, go ahead and use Rest to regain all of your health," I said, assuring it that it deserved a nice rest after the work with a grin. Ambipom nodded complacently, and a very faint glow of blue aura soon emerged from within his body. He proceeded to make himself comfortable by laying himself on the ground and curled his tails up to form a sort of blanket over his body, while still continuing to glow in a bright blue aura.

    "Take a good rest now..." I mumbled, and reached out for Ambipom's Pokeball. I aimed the Pokeball at my Ambipom and immediately, the red beam materialized suddenly and shot towards Ambipom. It enveloped the Pokemon within the light, then minimizing it back into the Pokeball. I kept the Pokeball well, before reaching out for my backpack again.

    We continued to move deeper into the mountains, around the snow-covered trees where we first found Snover. It was mostly blinding white like before, except the surroundings were colored a little with the greenish-colored bushes around us. Though they were just scattered around, I was glad to have seen a color other than white. While hiking through the ground that was piled with snow, I suddenly came to an abrupt stop. I recalled I had purchased some items before to help me capture certain species of Pokemon. I quickly asked my Ranger to hold on, and I reached for my backpack.

    I swore I looked almost like an awkward savage reaching desperately for food, but I was just struggling to find the item out of the many items I had in my backpack. Rampaging my hands throughout my backpack, I finally gave up and set it on the ground instead. Peeking into the bag carefully, I reached all the way down for the machine and felt something rigid-like, something rectangular. I managed to pull it out without much effort this time, and I was holding a small machine-like item. It was basically a recorder, that I bought from the Park Shop before coming here. This PokePlayer had the ability to sometimes attract a Pokemon of my desire, so that I can meet it and in turn, capture it. However, I need to have either the disc of that Pokemon's voice or recorded the voice of that Pokemon before though. As if my backpack was some sort of magic bag with treasures, I pulled out a disc that read 'Intermediate Voice Disc (Riolu)'.

    I looked at my Ranger to confirm what I was doing. He was probably wondering what the hell I was doing, rampaging my bag for items like that, like a desperate salvage. But oh well, I had to admit I looked a little stupid there. Probably a little too excited.

    I inserted the Riolu disc into the yellow recorder machine, and clicked on the 'Play' button.

    ...

    ...

    ...

    What the... I thought. Oh, I forgot to switch the recorder on...

    I didn't even want to look at my Ranger. That was probably the stupidest thing anyone has done. I pushed the hinge button from 'Off' to 'On' and immediately, the recorder released a buzzing sound. Then, Riolu's cry started to play from the recorder. I couldn't even make out the sound made, but I suppose if it works, who would care anyway.

    Not knowing what to do, I looked back at my Ranger. Hoping that the Voice Disc would really attract a Riolu here, or perhaps some other species that might appear.

    OOC:Yeah. Youre really supposed to choose the gender, but i guess that already got decided for you in the battle. And you realize that by using rest, Ambipom is going to stay asleep until you either heal him or send it out to battle and wait 3 turns right?

    Ataro made Ambipom use rest and recalled him. I guess it was easier that wasting an item on him. We continued through the dell with no more disruptions and finally made it to the clearin that marked the beginning of the trail up to the summit.

    Ataro began reaching for his back convulsively. For a second, I was worried. The profile of this trainer had said nothing about epilepsy.. had it? But he stopped and took off his backpack and I realized that he had just been looking for something in his bag. He struggled with the large amount of items in it for a second, but finally procured a small disk, a little bigger than an oreo and a bit smaller than a donut, and a small rectangular machine that I recognized as a Pokeplayer. He slipped the disk into the slot that played it and pressed play.

    He hesitated expectantly. I was about to say something about how both Play and Record buttons needed to be pressed when he realized his mistake and embarassedly corrected it, and the player. He latched the player on his belt, zipped his bag back up, and stood back up, all the while averting his gaze.

    He looked at his player and then looked expectantly at me. I cleared my throat.

    "Oh, yes. So from here we have two routes," I turned to the left, "Here is the trail up the mountain," I motioned my right hand toward the wide inclining train that curved to the left and then out of sight around the mountain,' This area is usually more sparse of Pokemon, but there are areas further up along that almost always have pokemon at them." I motioned my left hand to the gaping hole in the side of the mountain. "This is a cave system that leads through the mountain. There you'll find higher concentrations of Pokemon, as well as a Shrine to Regigigas. At the top of the mountain is a shrine to Articuno. For some reason there is no shrine to Regice, and when the rangers tried to make one, we found it in icy shambles the next day. The cave system also connects to the caves in Meteor valley, but we'll be avoiding that area for obvious reasons."

    I turned around to face Ataro again and spread my arms.

    "Which route would you like?"

    OOC: Yeah.

    I supposed it didn't work. Not only that, no Pokemon appeared as well. My Ranger cleared his throat and told me the possible routes we can take next. I listened intently as he gave me a really thorough guide on the routes and what we could possibly find there.

    I turned around to face Ataro again and spread my arms.

    "Which route would you like?"

    Hmmm... I hesitated. "Let's go there. The gaping hole at the side of the mountain; a cave system that leads through the mountain," I replied, while pointing towards the direction as well.

    I couldn't observe much from here. It looks just like any other caves; spacious and all of that stuff. I'd suppose I picked this route over the other due to the high concentrations of wild Pokemon. I didn't really cared about the legendary Pokemon, since I didn't buy those special cameras that would allow me to take photos of them and exchange for money anyway. Topping it up, even though it probably won't change much, my subconscious kept convincing me that more rare Pokemon like Riolu would appear more often in the caves anyway. I knew that that wouldn't have changed anything with the Voice Discs, since from what I knew, if it worked, it would have worked. But I suppose it was just my subconscious that was working on me. Either way, it was definitely true that a Riolu would appear more often in a cave than the area outside the mountains covered with snow, without taking into consideration of items like the Pokeplayer.

    We finally reached the cave after hiking through the snow-covered grounds. The cave was bigger than I thought; the height of the cave being nearly three times the height that I was. The width was obviously, just super wide. We took both of our first steps into the cave, and I could instantly feel the difference. I've been hiking in deep pile of snow all along but it was a different case in the cave. I felt relieved as it was definitely easier walking on granite ground than a ground piled with so much snow. I raised my hand up, while still holding the Pokeplayer in my hands.

    "I'd like to try this again," I said. With that, I pressed the 'Play' button once more and the cry of Riolu started to echo throughout the cave. Unlike the previous time, this cry was much louder due to the confined area, which left the Riolu cry reverberating, with the sound waves bouncing off the cavern walls each time they make contact. I waited for a while, to see if a Riolu was going to appear, or simply any other wild Pokemon.

    OOC: It has a 10% of appearin each turn after the turn that you activate it. It stays on until th voice disk is used up 5 turns later.

    "Let's go there. The gaping hole at the side of the mountain; a cave system that leads through the mountain," I raised my eyebrows. That was a little wierd, repeating my words back to me exactly as I said. Meh, whatever. We approached the cave.

    ~~~
    We had been walking in the echoing chambers for around 10 minutes., when we found our first Pokemon. I whipped out my hand as soon as I sensed them to stop Ataro from continuing if there was danger. I heard a faint beat in the distance. Like a rockslide only controlled and on (bad) tempo. At first i thought it was a VERY large pokemon approaching. I pulled Ataro to the edge of the cave and we inched along, the noise getting louder every second.
    Soon teh thumps were accompanied by small grunts before and after. I saw that the cave turned a corner. I turned to Ataro," I noticed that none of your Pokemon knows flash so youre just going to have to make do with this," I handed Ataro a Small flashlight. But it wouldnt be much use now.
    "Bambi, Light things up a bit for us here." I tapped on a Pokeball by my waist and my Houndoom was soon at our side. She blew out sharply and a flame burst intolife inher mouth and all along her sides. It was a trick that she had learned when we were visiting my cousin Karen in Johto. Now we had light.
    I motioned for Ataro to continue and we finally turned the corner to see a sight to behold. A machamp and two Machop were standing in a position along the corridor playing catch with a boulder a little smaller than an oven. I was too dumbstruck to laugh. They looked like they were having fun and not aggresive at all, but 1)they hadnt seen us yet, 2) they were taking up the whole cave, and 3) I had seen Machop and the evolution family go from 0 to ugly in under 10 so I decided to leave it up to the trainer.I turned slowly to Ataro and whispered so that the Pokemon wouldn't hear us from the outcropping we were hiding behind.
    "Any of those Pokemon strike your fancy?"
    OOC: Oh, so I don't have to mention it each time I want it to work? It will just work automatically for 5 turns till I see one?
    Suddenly, Jake held out a hand to motion for me to stop moving. It seemed like he detected something. With the sudden silence within the cave, any sound made would be really obvious. I heard the trickling sound of water droplets falling to the ground mostly, but there was also a faint rumbling sound, as if there were some sort of construction work going on.
    We walked forward to investigate what was producing the sounds. Reaching a bend, Jake turned around and said, "I noticed that none of your Pokemon knows flash so youre just going to have to make do with this," handing me a torchlight. I thought it was pretty redundant though, since he immediately called forth a Pokemon called Bambi to light the area up. The flash from the Pokeball lighted up the area very efficiently, although only for a few seconds. I noticed that we had indeed reached a corner that was pointing left, and we were surrounded by heavy boulders of granite stones on our right.
    Even without the trainer's command, the Houndoom knew what was requested of it and blew a flame; controlled to form a shape of a fireball. The fireballs split up and surrounded her body, acting both as a form of offense and defense in battle wise. But in this case, it was an extremely useful form of light source.
    Jake then motioned for me to continue and we saw the most retarded sight ever. There were a Machamp and two Machops, that were playing catch by throwing boulders over there. Well, I shouldn't be surprised, given that such Pokemon are the bodybuilding species, but still. It was weird seeing such muscular Pokemon, at least the Machamp definitely is, playing around and grinning away like contented kids with their ice pops, but it also suggested that they weren't aggressive Pokemon.
    "Any of those Pokemon strike your fancy?"
    "Nah, not really looking for one of those," I replied. "Shall we move on?" I suggested courteously.
    OOC: Yeah. It's like a timer. For every NBP that I post it clicks up and when it gets to five the disk is used up.
    "Nah, I'm not really looking for one of those. Shall we move on?" I felt kinda uncomfortable. This wasn't going to end well i could already tell. Our only way to continue was through them. But they were distracted and if we came out now they would be startled and possibly react aggresively. Aggresive and Machamp in the same thought makes a very, VERY ugly thought. I hesitated.
    After pondering it for a while I decided that the best way to do it would be to level with them. I turned to Ataro to confer wiht him about my plan.
    "Okay. I'm gonna send out my Tyranitar to go talk with them, see if theyll grant us passage." I tapped on a Dusk Ball at my hip and Empress materialized next to us.
    "Go and see if those Pokemon will let us pass, Empress." Empress lumbered out from hiding and the Machamp caught sight of her. I held my breath. Maybe I should have sent out Gallade instead. The Machamp didn't look upset just startled. He lay down the boulder on the ground with a loud thump. I waited as the Pokemon conversed with a series of grunts and hisses. Suddenly, Empress called out to me cueing us to come out.
    When we emerged I saw that the Pokemon were smiling not unhappy at all. I approached cautiously still. One of the Machop Stepped forward.
    "Maaaachop!" It jumped and put up its arms.
    "Err I guess this one wants to fight."
    Jake didn't seem to agree with me. He finally told me about his worries; about how the only way to continue would be this path and they might get aggressive at us for trespassing. Jake followed up by holding up a Dusk Ball, which emitted a red beam, materializing into a huge silhouette. A large dinosaur-like Pokemon appeared, with a green armor-like skin covering its entire body.
    The Tyranitar listened to its trainer's instructions, hinting that it was quite well-trained, since such a menacing Pokemon might disobey the trainer if not well-trained. The Pokemon went forward calmly, and I almost felt the entire cave trembling, with each step the Tyranitar took. The wild Pokemon immediately stopped playing around and stared at the gigantic species. They conversed with mumbles and grunts, and Jake suddenly walked forward. I then noticed that his Pokemon had signaled for us to move forward.
    We approached slowly, and one of the Machops quickly stepped forward. The Machop shouted its name and jumped out, clenching its fists in a fighting stance.
    "Err I guess this one wants to fight."
    "Hmm... I'm not sure. Although one of them wants to fight, I'm afraid by attacking it, the other species might get enraged that we hurt its friend instead," I replied, unsure if I should battle it. Suddenly, an idea came to me. "Go Smeargle, settle it down with Spore!"
    I called on my Poke Ball and released my Smeargle. The beagle-like, bipedal white and brown Pokemon appeared from the red flash, and waved her paintbrush-like tail at the opponent. As if my Smeargle was sketching a piece of drawing, the green paint from her tail splashed out, and transformed into a sudden burst of spores instead, directed towards the Machop.
    "We can leave them alone and move on, once that Machop is asleep."
