Christmas RP Event : GliscorMan

Joe watched Raticate charge up a powerful Super Fang before Celebi created a storm of leaves and fired them towards Raticate. Raticate was hurt and finished charging a Super fang and began to charge towards Celebi. Raticate leaped into the air and sank his fangs into Celebi.

Celebi shrugged it off and and began to disappear into mid air. It was time traveling. As soon as Celebi was gone, it left behind two Santa Hats. Joe looked at the locket which his trainer was holding and noticed it split into two and one of the pieces disappeared.

"It looks like you can use that one more time" Joe said as they ventured off.

Suddenly as they were about to head off and huge Yanmega appeared right in front of them

Raticate charged the Legendary Grass Pokemon with a Super Fang attack, which was one of the strongest moves it could muster. Celebi saw that an attack was imminent and seemed to slow down time for when I blinked, Celebi had already launched a fury of leaves. Raticate finished the charge and slammed into the small green fairy. It bit and clawed the time traveling Pokemon and then flipped off and back to me, its Trainer.

Celebi gave a harsh glare and gathered a light around it. The light began to grow until it had entirely engulfed the Pokemon. The Celebi disappeared without a trace, leaving two Santa Suits. My Ranger walked over and picked them up, stuffing them into his pack along with the Snowflakes, Cookies and Milk. I noticed my Ranger looking at the locket which I held in my hand, so I looked at it as well. I noticed something odd; half of the locket was missing. I shrugged it off and pocketed the half-locket.

"It looks like you can use that one more time," my Ranger said as we ventured off.

Out of nowhere, a large green buzzing Pokemon appeared. It zipped around a little and then attacked us.

Great. Another Pokemon I'd never seen before. It was flying and looked like a giant dragonfly. Gliscor should be able to do the trick.

"Go, Gliscor!" I called as I released the Gargoyle Pokemon. "Hit that thing with a Stone Edge!"

 

Joe watched the Yanmega zip from place to place try to intimidate the foe.

"Go, Gliscor!" The trainer called as he released the Gargoyle Pokemon. "Hit that thing with a Stone Edge!"

The Vampire Pokemon began to get ready for an attack but Yanmega had other ideas and began to zoom down to Gliscor and use Air Slash. Gliscor was put of balance and fired a Stone Edge whilst failing which would lower the accuracy. Yanmega dodge two thirds of the stone but was too clumsy and smacked into a couple.

Both Pokemon looked each other in the eye.

After zipping around a bit more, the Pokemon that opposed us lunged with a blade that was even able to rend the air itself. The attack slammed into Gliscor, throwing it off balance. I was worried that this would cause Gliscor to miss with its attack, but it held through. The large amount of stones were launched, but the foe dodged most of them. The few that didn't miss caused a severe amount of damage, confirming to me that my foe was Bug/Flying. What confused me was that, instead of being slightly slower because of the attack, the opposing bug seemed even faster than it was before we traded blows.

I flipped open my 'dex to read the entry.

"Yanmega," it said, as mechanical as ever. "It is the evolved form of Yanma. This Bug Type flies around launching blades of air and walls of sound. It may have an ability that makes its speed grow every turn."

That explained it.

"All right, Gliscor!" I called, preparing to issue an order. "Quickly Attack the Yanmega with a Stone Edge! If you see an opportunity, improvise."

The Quick Attack + something combo had already proven to be the best way of getting close to a faster opponent. The addend leeway would give Gliscor its chance to be original and shine!

Gliscor charged the large green dragonfly with a second barrage of stones as fast as he possibly could. The sharp rocks collided with the Yanmega's underbelly, sending it zipping away into the canopy of the Woods. I was pleased that the scary creature had gotten scared off. My Ranger called me back to the present with, well, a present.

"Look," he said. "The Yanmega dropped a bag of presents when it left."

I had no idea how such a creature could carry a large bag like this, but Pokemon had their ways. Things easily changed because of the pure magic that the creatures possessed. My guide then managed to shove the bag into his backpack, further increasing the surreal atmosphere surrounding the pack.

He then turned to me and pointed into the distance.

"There's an exit over there," he told me. "Do you want to leave the area?"

I thought about this a little. There was a good chance that there would be lots of Pokemon ahead of me, but there was also a chance that I could find more Pokemon in this area that would give me some more things. I decided to kick in the door and go looking for trouble.

"Let's stay here and look for a few more Pokemon," I replied.

"All right," my Ranger said in reply. "Be careful, though. The Pokemon could be becoming more restless of you."

I shrugged the thought off and began looking for trouble. However, as always, the trouble found me first.

"Watch out!" my Ranger called.

Out of instinct, I jumped back at my Ranger's warning. I had learned the hard way that if I did not, something bad would easily happen. This time, however, I tripped over a fallen tree trunk and landed flat on my back.

It then became apparent as to what I had been warned about. A Weepinbell had been greedily waiting to try and swallow me. If I had kept walking, I would've walked straight into it. I flung a Pokeball while still lying on the forest floor. Out of the ball popped my starter Pokemon: Gliscor.

"Gliscor!" I called, catching the FlyScorp Pokemon's attention. "Use a Quick Attack to get next to it and then slam your tail into the ground and cause an Earthquake!"

Gliscor did as he was told and lunged at the Weepinbell as fast as he could and slammed his tail into the ground creating a shockwave that shook the ground like an earthquake. The carnivorous plant, who was shaken up by the attack and had been dislodged from its roosting spot, was very angry. It then shook itself and released a flurry of sharply edged leaves that slashed at my Flyscorp Pokemon. Gliscor shrugged it off and flew back to my side.

I needed to think. What could I do? I needed to make it something that my Gliscor would like and, therefore, something that would be original. Then it hit me faster than a Spearow on a Caterpie.

"Gliscor!" I ordered. "Dash up into the nearest tree and fire an Ice Fang attack at the Weepinbell from the leaves!"

If this worked as I thought it would, Gliscor would lunge into a tree with a Quick Attack as fast as he could. His fangs would glow a bright blue as it had done many times before and launch twin rays of ice at the foe. Without being able to see where it was coming from, this would be a hard attack for the Weepinbell to counter.

Glisco, following his orders, dashed up into a tree. Confused, the Weepinbell looked around trying t o find its foe. It was then greeted by an intense blast of ice from the rustling leaves of the tree. Defeated, the Flycatcher Pokemon leapt over a bush and disappeared into the underbrush. Gliscor then slowly glided down to land next to me with a pleased look on its bat-like face. I produced a Pokeball and sucked my friend inside.

My Ranger walked over to where the Weepinbell had been and began rummaging around in the grass.

"Aha!" he said aloud, hefting a whole bunch of cookies and milk. He then shoved it into his bag which seemed even more magical by the second.

He then stood up and began walking. I followed, pleased with my progress. I began thinking about what was even going on. I gave up as I slammed into my Ranger's back. He had stopped in front of me.

"Huh?" I said, confused at what had happened.

My Ranger then pointed out a Kricketune that was blocking the path with its arms outstretched.

"All right, Gliscor!" I called as I sent forth my long-time partner Pokemon. My Ranger then stepped aside as I ordered my Pokemon to launch a devastating Stone Edge to clear the path of the Bug-type.

Gliscor lunged at the Bug type Kricketune with a storm of small rock shards, attempting to smash the critter out of existence. With a screech, the stones made contact, sending the reddish Pokemon flying backwards.

Just then, the Kricketune began to sing, weaving its arms together to form a tight harmony. It sang a song of despair and sadness, to the point where I would have wanted to capture it to make the poor thing happy. It was singing a Perish Song. Gliscor wasn't pleased by the sound and tried to cover his sensitive bat-like ears from the searing tune. Poor Gliscor would be unable to stand it by the third turn.

"Come on, Gliscor!" I called, catching my pal's attention. "You need to try and ignore the music. It'll be hard, but you can do it! Meanwhile, try to the Kricket and smash him into those rocks behind you with a massive Stone Edge attack!"

If this worked correctly, Gliscor would grab the foe with both claws, preventing it from playing the strange melody on its forelegs. He would then fly forward in a bull rush sort of attack, smashing the foe against a rather large rock near the trees behind the Bug-type.
