Trainers' Estate: Grass Wing: Central Hub

"Hi," Mai said, surprised that she had somehow space out and missed so much.

"Hmmm... Freshman," she heard the boy named Neon say.

"Hey!" Mai cried out, alarmed. "I'm a freshman!"

 

*Casey looked around the group which had become even larger. He greeted the newer members and introduced his Pokemon*

Hey Senyo, Neon. Nice to meet you. Hey Daniel, I remember you from our Brawl session the other day in the game room. Glad to see you again! And you guys, these are my poke-...Wait wheres my Pokemon!?

*Casey looks behind him to see his Chichi playing with Daniels Torterra and Larvitar. Even his Hoohoo made friends with Pidgeot, and Hanna (His Mareep) was out playing with Electivire & Raiguy*

"Wow. I didnt even notice they got out...Atleast their having fun!" *Casey said this quickly as he rubbed the top of his head*

*Casey overheard the whisper Neon said to himself*
"Im a Junior so you know Neon. I cant wait to start classes you guys! What about you? I think I might take a Coordinator class and an expert Trainers class if they have one. My old school did but I was still to young to join. And I didnt have 3 pokemon like I do now."

 

Daniel turned to Casey. "Glad our Pokemon are getting along okay. I don't remember playing Brawl here, I'm pretty sure it was a different Daniel. It's a really common name, believe me."

Daniel overheard what Neon had said, and turned in his direction with anger in his eyes. "So what!? I doubt you're any better at raising Pokemon. If you want, we can have a battle. It seems like an easy way for me to break my losing streak. That is, if you're not too scared."

 

*Casey looks at the Daniel and notices he does look different*

"Oh...Im Sorry. I guess I have two friends here names Daniel now. Heh."

*Casey looks at Neon after Daniel made the battle comment*

'Hmm...I wonder what he'll say' *Casey said to himself*

"Anyway guys. Im gonna head to the Cafeteria and get some Munchlax Cereal. Its pretty delicious!"

*Casey walks out of the Greenhouse into the hall towards the stairs leading downstairs*

 

Mai looked up, alarmed, as Casey left. "Um... bye?" she called out.

She heard the one named Daniel challenge Neon to a battle, rather angrily.

"Guys, guys," Mai said, holding up her hands. "We came here to relax... at least I think we did. No need to have a battle right now. Especially not here. You'll probably end up killing the trees and everything." Of course, she was still worried about the "freshman" comment, but she decided not to mention that.

 

"I don't mean that I am better than you. I just mean you are obviously new to the place. I would be happy to see how good you are though." With that Neon reached down to his belt and pulled off a pokeball. It expanded in his hand and twitched, as if asking to battle.

"I'm ready whenever you are." A smirk spread across Neon's face.

 

Mai sighed. Bigheaded boys, she thought to herself.

"Just pointing out, but aren't all of us new to this place?"

 

"Okay, does a 3 on 3 battle sound good to you?" Daniel said, completely ignoring Mai, "There's a stadium just outside the estate."

Mai scowled. Idiots she thought angrily. Of course, she wasn't going to leave yet. She wanted to see the outcome of the battle.

"Stadium? Where?"

 

"Well, most people are new. I happen to be one of the few exceptions. Doesn't mean I'm any better. Can't say I've accomplished much in that time," explained Neon. "What does bother me though, is when new people come along and they think they can take on any challenge. I'll be more than happy to show you around and give you some advice about the estate, well... right after I show Daniel here why being cocky isn't a very good trait."

Neon reached to his belt and readied another two pokeballs. "Sounds great to me, bud. Let's see what you can offer the Grass Wing."

(OOC: Sure, I'll IM you whenever I see you on.)

 

Mai glowered. Why was this boy preaching to her about cockiness in the most arrogant manner possible? It made mo sense. She resisted the urge to throttle someone, an urge that she had felt increasingly more and more often since she had come here. And I thought I was coming here to relax... she sighed. There really wasn't much else to do but watch the battle unfold.

 

"Well, I was put in my place. I could stand up here and preach about how you got lucky, or how I over thought things. That isn't the case though, you won fair and square. Congratulations, I look forward to battling you again and battling along side you as a member of the Grass Wing." Neon stuck his hand out to shake Daniel's hand, as if apologizing for his earlier arrogance without saying anything. "Now I just can't wait to see what else the new recruits can do. Like you, miss sourpuss." Neon gave a nod to the glowering girl who had just stood spectator to the match.

 

"T'was a good match. Although to be honest, I thought I was going to lose after my Raichu and Blaziken took that beating." Daniel said, shaking Neon's hand, "Sorry if my ego got the best of me. I have a tendancy to interprit these things as insults. We should battle again sometime."

Daniel returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs. "Well, I gotta go. Maybe I'll be back tomorrow, but for now, I gots Z's to catch. See ya Neon, see ya SourPuss."

 

"Night sir." Neon returned his Forretress and Gastrodon to their pokeballs. He left his Honchkrow out to stretch its wings. "Honchy you know the deal. Any of those pesky gardening mons get close, you give them a taste of your wing." With a confirmatory nod, Honchkrow took post above the tree that Neon had just walked over to. Neon then laid down under his favorite tree. "Night Mai, don't keep that glower on your face too long. You look a lot nicer when you smile." Neon winked, turned away from her and drifted off to sleep.

 

"well that was an interesting fight i didnt watch" said sennyo who had stayed behind and found a nice tree to relax behind.
"but from now im hungry, see you all later."

 

Creep, Mai thought, slightly worried. She hadn't been smiling at all when Neon was there, so the only way he could have seen her smiling was if he had stalked her somewhere else... she decided not to think about that.

"Well, since everyone went off to sleep, I'm outta here," she said quietly. "Course, nobody here really sleeps, but that's a different point." Still musing, Mai left the central hub.

 

*Casey pushes the large glass door open, he walks in. Followed behind his Pokemon, Chichi, Hoohoo, Hanna, and Pinpin; his new Pineco*

"Hey leo? You here? I finally got a Pineco!"

*Pinpin, acting very shy, hops into the Greenhouse, staying close to the walls*

 

Neon awoke abruptly to a boy yelling across the Hub. Neon did nothing to hide how annoyed he was. He quickly turned over and yelled back at the kid, "Can't you see that some people are trying to sleep here?! It's like some people don't understand that others have bizarre sleeping patterns."

 

*Casey stopped after hearing the boys comment. He didnt know he heard him though*

"Oh. Im sorry...Dont you have a room to sleep in though? I thought this was just a hangout place for us all. Not a bedroom."

 

"Some people think that, but the grass here is a lot softer than any bed I've ever been in. And the smell of the flowers is the most pleasant thing to wake up to." Neon looked around taking in a breath of fresh air. "Wonderful place."
