As I understand, the current mission rewards are tough mission (forgot the exact wording sorry D -> Hard Pokemon + TM's, and easier mission -> Simple Pokemon (and maybe + 1 TM? Can't check easily while mobile). Some Pokemon can also be obtained in the shop, per the list above. I was suggesting a way for people to obtain Pokemon that they're role playing as well--ie, from your example post, if you posted past a certain threshold, you could obtain Gengar/Clefable (one of your Pokesoul buddies) instead of a mission prize. In Art/Stories/Park, people get to write/draw/role play/create about the Pokemon that they end up capturing, but here, some Pokemon/Pokesoul characters would never be obtainable. I think?

That being said:
=It'd be hella hard to implement in an already-large list of rules
=Most people wouldn't want to create entirely new characters for a Pokemon
=Maybe someone would farm stuff/obtain infinite Magikarp from a Magikarp Pokesoul
=Most characters would probably be based on high-difficulty Pokemon (ie Gengar/Clefable rather than Gastly/Cleffa) (hey I just realized that you're using the "Gengar looks like Clefable's shadow" thing and your character got even 100000000x cooler than before omg)

Tbh I have no idea how to balance a mart list, but I see nothing wrong with any of the proposed lists that I haven't mentioned already (that just being Sableye, which got changed already)

Also guys, I got an idea! Inspired by an idea Proto had: Create Your Own Mission! You basically create a story between two players and then you'll be allowed to role play it out with an NPC too in the middle! C: WORKING ON THAT.

 

• Added Medium Missions! So now there's Simple, Medium, and Hard Missions to start the RP out with n~n
• Typed out the Character of the Month information. Basically, a week before the end of the month, voting goes up for CoTM - each person who votes for CoTM receives P300! The winner will have something very nice written up for their character in the first post of the thread, and will receive P1,500 and it will be very cute!

Fifteen years ago, Yoko and Hiei were legendary bandits who roamed the great depths of space, ransacking everything in their sight. On a particular venture, they decided to kidnap a prince and put up an enormous ransom for his head. They were brutally taken down, however, when they crash landed on a part of the Pokemon planet so feral that Hiei lost his arm in the fray. Yoko protected the prince to his best ability, but ultimately the prince died; and at this moment, Yoko decided he no longer wanted to pursue a life of crime with Hiei. He vanished at this point for fifteen years, until present day; and this is why the two characters resent each other as PokeSouls in the present. We'd like to role-play the point where the ship steadily crashes, chaos ensues, and the prince DIES!

NPC Description:

We'd like the NPC to vacillate between the prince (either a Human or Pokemon of your choosing!) and the feral Pokemon who attack Yoko and Hiei. We're flexible with the prince's appearance and personality - all we ask is that the young lord is a little precocious for his age and unnervingly sagacious. The feral Pokemon can be any Pokemon you want them to be! Thanks so much in advance!

Also, we need a name for staff members!~ I looked up these few hehe: Chronicler, Muse, Game Master, Keeper. But please feel free to suggest a different one! this RP is what you all make it, and we will choose the name people like best c:

 

So, quick question: are there going to be various plots to RP from? Like a plot already be written out with a rank of choosing (or would one chooses the rank, like one chooses the plot and then says "I'd like to do this plot as Hard"? but still be able to do the same plot as simple or medium?) and then this alternative way of making your own plot? I thought, as far as I knew, we would already be creating our own plots and such. (Sorry if this is confusing, I can expand on this to make it more clear if needed).

Also, I'm totes into Chronicler.


EDIT: Also on the first post of the created mission. Would one receive an extra P900? Like on their first post they posted over 250 words so they would receive P300, would they still get P900 on top of that as a total of P1200?

Can we have permission to run this RP on PWN's URPG as a sort of trial? PWN's Birthday Extravaganza is coming up, and Fellykins (and Seppe!!) had a great idea to run this as the RP for the event! Also, it would allow us to gauge interest in the hopes of becoming a more permanent part of the URPG. Finally, it'd be very quick and easy for me to put the board together and assign staff powers to the right people opposed to having to do that across two other boards too, which would take more effort and a longer time (YAY admin powers!)

I imagine a three-month trial on PWN solely would be long enough, and then a more permanent decision can be reached about this RP-thing. Also, as a fair warning, I will disappear off the Internet for about two weeks in August - but I'm confident that in the two-three weeks I have left, we can roll out this RP strong! And I will take full responsibility for the care or failure of it the whole time.

These are the people who would probably be in charge of this. Winter and Chainy head our current RP section, Felly decides what flies on PWN, and Monbrey and Harry would be in charge of introducing a new section to URPG. Hope to see this up and running soon!

There is a bit of confusion. I am heading this project / new section along with the listed staff people in my earlier post. I tagged @HKim; and @Monbrey; earlier in hopes of attaining approval for me to set up the board and begin the section on PWN's URPG as a trial. I will do everything else. I also admin PWN.

 

No haha I totally understand that I was tagging the people who would probably have the most say in introducing a new RP section to URPG in the first place; not people who would run it (not that I have any doubts that it would get approved; I just thought tagging them would let them know to check out the progress of the thread). Also, I'm not too familiar with PWN staff and its innerworkings so I just always default to Felly for those things lol

Hey, so you said we could save up P and use it when we'd like to level up our character whenever. What if I save P and wait until I roleplay out my character's transformation/stronger bond with her PokeSoul side to use/access her extra powers? Or would I have to use the P, level up the character before I start roleplaying, and then I can choose how to introduce the new powers?

 

Great question! C: If I'm understanding correctly, I'd say that you can transition into your character's powers in whatever way you want to! Some people may want to have drawn-out plots of agony before their character unlocks a power. Other people may want their character to wake up one day and casually be like, "oh cool, my 'blowin' things up' skill is improved! I can feel it!" Both techniques are fine, as well as whatever's in between!

In terms of P, I'll just say it's up to the player's integrity to purchase the new ability as close to them using it in the RP as they can (either that, or purchasing the ability / etc far before they actually use it). As long as somebody's not RPing with like level 3 abilities haxxx on everything with no intention of buying it haha, they should be fine! (really radical example)

also everyone in this thread is so awesome <333 I'm SO happy we have permission to get this moving, and so thankful for all of the support! I've set up the board on PWN, and I'm working atm to plug in all the threads and starter missions and fun stuff C: It's invisible right now, but it should come online within the next day or so! GET HYPED!!
