First BMG URPG Event on IRC (Prize Log up)

Ultra Pokemon RPG or URPG was opened on April 15th(Thursday) 2010, right here, in the Bulbagarden Forums. Since then, activity over the UPRG boards have been really overwhelming, and it has been hectic for days, weeks even. It's been about a month now, and even though things have settled down a bit, you can always expect some sort of activity within the boards. With Summer coming up, Events have been happening all over the URPG, and you might have even come across a few yourself; namingly, Story Competition, FFAs, April 2010 Quiz, and the recent huge Forum FFA that is about to take place.

So what Event is this, and how is it different from those that are already happening/have happened? Simple.

I'm sure you guys have noticed a place called the Auction Room? It's a place where you place bids and by the end of the week the Auctioned Pokemon goes to the Member who bid the highest amount of URPG Dollars for it. Though, it's just one at a time(a week). In this Event of course, that's going to be a little bit different. A lot more Pokemon(more than 1) will be Auctioned, one at a time, and why not join in the fun, and try to bid and win one for yourself? Rarely, Auctioned Pokemon in this event will also come in pairs! Ain't that something? If you're lucky enough you might walk away with a pair of Pokemon at the right price.

Ok, so this is not enough? Fine. There's more. A mini online Tournament. How does that sound? Depending on the number of People who join for this event, the participants would be counted from that. Of course, if you don't wish to participate and try to get more prizes, that's fine by me. It's also a chance to make new URPG friends of course, and have some rivaling competitors! (Details about this will be provided much later on)

Hmm, maybe some of you aren't battle inclined. Then the URPG Questionnaire is the right thing for you. From time to time(during the Event), I will throw out a Question or two revolving Bulbagarden URPG(since the day it was opened here) and if you're fast enough to type me the correct answer, you'll get some monetary award or perhaps something else...The choice will be yours to make of course.

That might be all, or so you might think. But hey, I'm not going to spoil anything. The only way to know, is for you to join the Event of course! Fun, Prizes, Tournament for the competitive minds, and a Questionnaire for the smarties, in one place. Imagine that :yahoo:

When : 9:00 AM, Saturday, May 22nd, in US- EST (eastern standard time)

Rules :
- Only for BMG/Pe2k Members who've joined URPG on/after April 15th '10. Banned Pe2k Members are not allowed to participate.

- Since this will be conducted on Bulbagarden IRC; Channel URPG, all participants are asked to pick a Nickname of their choice. If its the same as your Forum Username, works as well.

- For questions about IRC, simply go here.

- Also, if you're joining, please post here your Username along with the Nickname you'll be using in the IRC for reference/etc.

- Unnecessary behavior/SPAM/etc during the Event will not be tolerated. This Event is supposed to be fun, so don't soil/ruin it.
Punishment for such nonsence will be really harsh.

I really don't see why this has to be BMG exclusive. Pe2k's who've joined after 15th April should be allowed too.

The Purpose of this Event is with respect to the URPG being opened here, in BMGf, which is why it's BMG Exclusive or w/e you call it. It was also supposed to be hosted during the first week or second after its opening, thus it being called, the Opening Event or sorts, but I had to wait until we had a good number of People to join the URPG here/for the activity here to stabilize a bit, and there were some things kept me back from doing so.

But of course, I'll invite ze new Pe2k URPGer's too.
