    I would go all-out and buy a bunch of Electric types for the Vermillion gym, but chances are someone else would beat me to it... like what happened with the Dojo.
    Anyway... just to see if it's possible...

    Agreed. I don't understand why it's okay to only own one of that type. I mean, if you're going to own a gym, at least have more than just ONE type for it. Like, if someone had; swampert, gayrados, milotic, kingdra, ludicolo, starmie, empoleon, and a dunsparce then you're applicable to be a normal type gym leader? I don't know, call me old fashion or whatever, but in my opinion I think it should take more than owning one Pokemon to be able to run a gym.

    I think he's suggesting you could have Dunsparce as the owned Pokemon and rent 9 other Normal types, despite being so much better qualified for a water gym.
