Ace Trainer Liam (Cerulean): Tentacruel, Lapras, Gorebyss, Greninja, Kabutops, Kingdra
Ataro (Goldenrod): Ambipom, (Lopunny), (Silvally), (Porygon-Z), Clefable, Heliolisk

Ambipom and Tentacruel traded off early. Liam set up rain, which allowed Ataro's Heliolisk to come in and heal. Then Heliolisk used Agility to get out ahead of Liam's Swift Swimmers and setup moves. Its super effective attacks, powered by Life Orb, won out over the water Pokemon.

Ataro (Goldenrod) wins and gets $5,500
Ace Trainer Liam (Cerulean) comes in second and gets $2,500

Both battlers may claim a Round 1 bonus of $3,000!

Synthesis reffed half and gets $1,500
Elrond 2.0 reffed half and gets $1,500

Both sides had some great predictions and some that were...not so great. Monbrey ended up miscalculating a few moves which ultimately lead to his downfall. Mega Gengar was a beast as usual.

Opelucid Dragon Gym vs. Eterna Grass Gym

Soul kept up the attacks without letting up but PM kept expecting him to do other things and mispredicted a bunch. His biggest mistake was going for a contact move on Dragalge instead of KOing with EQ which allowed Poison to stall out what would have been the Pokemon that swept Soul's lineup. Still, well played on both sides.

THE BIGGEST UPSET OF ANY TOURNAMENT MATCH EVER

Mega Heracross had Speed+4 which was Baton Passed from Scolipede, but was fighting against Cloyster. Both Pokemon exchanged Skill Linked Bullet Seeds and Icicle Spears respectively, but Cloyster was slower thus it fainted. Greninja (which had Battle Bond and was holding a Choice Specs secretly) was sent in, but Nitro apparently forgot that Mega Heracross had the Speed+4 boost and went for a Surf instead.

Meanwhile, Mikey whom was like hyperventilating the whole time was trying to decide between staying in or switching in a Volbeat holding Red Card (since he wasn't sure if Red Card triggered on the first hit or final hit of Water Shuriken); and opted for staying in with Bullet Seed.

Thus, Bullet Seed OHKO'd Greninja, Mega Swampert, Rotom-Wash, and Starmie. all dat sap sucking off bulbasaur did helped afterall



Mikey wins, and earns $5,500 + $3,000 bonus + advances to next round!
Nitro loses, and earns $2,500 + $3,000 bonus + eliminated.

I should get $3,000 for reffing.

Alright so I think it's safe to say that FD and Morru are not finishing their battle. School starts up again for me soon and I'm not waiting any longer than a day. I felt I should probably post here saying Morru will be advancing over FD since he was more active during the Round period and seemed more proactive about scheduling things. @Morru you can go ahead and claim that bonus 3k. @Ataro @Fierce Deity As for the status of the battle, you can either count it as a forfeit and log it (normally in your ref log) based on the amount of mons sent so far, or finish it at a later time. Either way, it won't be counted as a tourney battle.
