Gman outplayed me for the most part of this, and I got a Sludge Wave poison and Zen Headbutt miss. The turning point of this battle was my Kingdra blocking an Icy Wind with sub, which let it finish off Ludi and Lanturn after setting up.

I get 2000 and a ticket to the next round.

Eterna Gym Leader Airik (Rotom-Mow, Sceptile, Whimsicott, Breloom) vs. Petalburg Gym Leader Crossover (Clefable, Togekiss, Sawsbuck, Porygon Z)


The battle started out with Rotom-Mow against Togekiss, which really was unfortunate for Cross. Cross was able to inflict paralysis on Mowtom, but he wasn't able to deal any damage before Togekiss was knocked out. Porygon-Z came in and fired off a Tri Attack, but Mowtom switched out for Whimsicott. Airik noticed his folly and switched again for Mowtom, hoping to get in a new move for his Choice lock, while Porygon-Z Nasty Plotted, which was a major threat. Porygon was able to take out both Mowtom and Whimsicott before it was finally taken out by Breloom. However, now that Breloom was able to stay in with Poison Heal giving it health every turn, it was able to take out the rest of Cross' team. It was Breloom at full health with Poison Heal against a sleeping Clefable before Cross forfeited. Good game!

Magnesium wanted to forfeit once Hydreigon got KO'd, but other people convinced him not to. So instead he spammed Dragon Dance with Dragonite and Dig with Garchomp until he lost. My dice seem to like him though, at least with accuracy.

Princess Crow (Rotom-Wash, Electivire, [Jolteon], Lanturn) vs Joltik (Blaziken, Arcanine, Volcarona, Rotom-Heat)

The battle started with Electivire facing of against Arcanine, the fiery dog intimidating the big electric brute. But Evire did not care and entombed Arcanine before Volt Switching out to Lanturn. Lanturn went on an assault with Surf, resulting in the death of Arcanine and bringing Rotom-Heat to less than half health. The oven tried to get an edge with Confuse Ray, but Lanturn wasn't having any of it and switched out to Rotom-Wash. It was a battle of appliances, as the oven caused an uproar while the washing machine slowed it down with Thunder Wave. Blaziken switched in trying to get a word in, but a single Hydro Pump to the face shut that down. Volcarona came in to try even things up a bit with a Quiver Dance, but another Thunder Wave and Hydro Pump assault put on an end to it. Rotom-Heat was sent back in as the last defense, and fell to Rotom-Wash's last Hydro Pump. As Hannah would say, "Good Game!"

In the style of CommBA, "I was sober (as always) and a battle happened but who cares?! (Insert completely unrelated statement here)!!"

This battle actually happened several hours ago, and I'm too tired and lazy to remember/write down what happened. FD was able to predict switches, items, etc. and, as such, was able to accurately have control throughout the majority of the battle. Taither put up a good fight, but the advantage of having multiple types to choose from was definitely an obstacle that would be hard to overcome. Good game!

Pewter Gym Leader GliscorMan ([Aerodactyl], Tyranitar, Gliscor, [Cradily]) vs. Hearthome Gym Leader CommBA (Golurk, Chandelure, Sableye, Jellicent)

The beginning of this battle was looking like it would be fairly even and intense. However, once Golurk took out Tyranitar before taking any damage and GM got a free switch-in to Gliscor, things started to go downhill. Golurk was Choiced into DynamicPunch, which, in addition to Poison Heal, wasn't able to make a dent in Gliscor. Gliscor got some boosts in before CommBA switched out to Sableye, hoping to get in an ability-changing move so that the Toxic'd Gliscor would be losing major health. However, after sending it, he realized that he hadn't actually purchased it! As such, Gliscor was able to gain more boosts and eventually dispose of the Sableye without taking any damage due to Poison Heal. Jelli came in and was able to scare Gliscor, but a bad gamble on Ominous Wind instead of dealing solid damage with Ice Beam/Water Spout cost CommBA his Jellyfish. He then sent in Chandelure but soon forfeited because Gliscor's Att+4 EQ's would KO everything left on his team. Good game!

Politoed was able to deal a solid amount of damage as well as setting up rain, putting Sharpedo in perfect position to do most of the heavy lifting. CB Floatzel came in and cleaned up for the last KO.
