Soul seemed to have the lead in the beginning, but he left himself with only Ferrothorn and Tyranitar to fight Dash's Gallade and Togekiss.

Togekiss passed a Wish to Gallade, who then took care of Ferro and Ttar easily.

Both made a couple mistakes, though Haze was able to retain the lead he got from DD Salamence.

Apparently, Explosion used to halve the Defense of its target when dealing damage. Crazy.

Both made smart calls, and they were neck and neck for most of the battle

The dice determined who had the slight lead at the end of any given turn.

Kumquat Island Challenge

Double Battle. The gym leader and challenger must have one Pokemon for each type, a single Pokemon cannot count as two types. Both battlers send their Pokemon by type to the ref. The ref randomly rolls which Pokemon are used for each battler, based on the number of Pokemon to be used in the battle. Leads, Abilities and Items can be decided after randomization

Challenger Prince Vultan v Defender Ash K.

Ash K.: Mega Altaria, Eelektross, Clefable, Gallade, [Sceptile]

PV decided to challenge that one OI Gym.

This was an interesting battle, slow but with lots of interesting control at the beginning.

Prankster Gallade directed most of the fight, limiting options with Encore & Imprison and sustaining itself with Rest & Destiny Bond.

PV was keeping Ash's offensive power quashed with Mawile's Intimidate, but Ash's Shadow Tag Chandy came in for the OHKO.

A paralyzed Mega Altaria then did a Trick Room sweep on most of PV's team and used Perish Song to close the battle.
