Kumquat Island Challenge

Double Battle. The gym leader and challenger must have one Pokemon for each type, a single Pokemon cannot count as two types. Both battlers send their Pokemon by type to the ref. The ref randomly rolls which Pokemon are used for each battler, based on the number of Pokemon to be used in the battle. Leads, Abilities and Items can be decided after randomization

The dice screwed Liam and forced him to roll Water-types against Contrary Serperior, giving Maxie 2 quick KO's. Though Liam fought hard, he ultimately couldn't bring the game back around.

Things started off slowly until Lovecraft's Minimize/Calm Mind Clefable backfired, at which point Darkness took the lead and won.

Ash rolled a Linoone, a Delibird, and two consecutive par rolls on Gardevoir. Yeah... they all got KO'd.

But, boom, Ash came back with a clutch Ttar and cleaned up Soul's 3 remaining 'mons.

Random weather.

Wooo, look at all these crazy battles! Most of the battle had Soul trying to stat up while Ash quashed his attempts, leaving Dash and DR to deal the damage.

Then, Soul and Ash were knocked out of the battle on the same turn, letting Dash and DR face each other mano a mano.

In the end, Dash was able to pull the win for his team! Great battle!

EDIT: Also, Fog was super-trolly, especially towards Ash.

Long battle, but a good one.

Liam took the advantage early but started to struggle a bit when Soul's Ferrothorn showed its face. A battle of attrition ensued, of which Liam was the eventual victor.

A very back and forth battle, though Swift had the upper hand for most of the fight.

However, a mistake by Swift allowed Maxie's Contrary Serperior to become a serious threat, which forced Swift to pull out all the stops (like Sap Sipper Choice Band Girafarig lol) to win the game.

Crow seemed to have the advantage in the beginning, but clever switches and Stealth Rock from Felly put them on relatively equal ground.

At the end, Felly pulled out a clutch Red Card Drizzle Politoed, but a lucky Sleep Talk from Crow stopped that plan from reaching fruition.
