Turt was doing really well, scaring out Blaziken with Yanmega and knocking down Aegislash enough to KO with recoil from Head Smash, but Galewings was a pain, and Blaziken was in for too many Speed Boosts for Accelgor to handle. Didn't help that Crustle missed Rock Blast either, but it would've got outsped the next turn anyway.

Drapion gave Comm a little trouble. His Dynamic Punch even hit, but then Drapion didn't smack. Hone Claws + Knock Off is really powerful. Even when burned, Drapion still took down Mismagius, too. Comm called it when Swablu used Perish Song on his last mon.

It was pretty straightforward switching and attacking. Jolteon and Gliscor had a stand-off for a while, and I'm not sure why but Jolteon didn't switch out and let Gliscor set up only to be KO'd. That let Ditto come in to copy the boosts, but putting a Scarf on it forced some switches too. Charizard Mega Evolved and was too bulky for Mawile to KO with Sucker Punch even after some prior damage.

Elite Four Ash K. Vs. Challenger We Taste Pies...

Ash: Blaziken, Dragonite, Lucario, Slowking, Talonflame, Togekiss

The bad part about this is that I have to log it before bed to get paid, since wages are in a few hours the morning.

Everyone gathered as one of the last epic battles before the return to school slog that is about to come. They gathered their pom-poms and foam fingers, cooked popcorn and prepared to camp out for a long and grueling battle. A few whistles were heard, as well as some ridiculous requests. The referee will not be reffing in a bikini while starting the match with a clapperboard, thank you.

Both battlers settled in, and the crowd set their eyes upon two familiar faces. This time, however, the usual challenger was actually defending. Ash, weighing in at the defenders corner, sent out his lineup, silently hoping the battle wouldn't rage on too long. Other battles including the beast of the sea were known to take hours longer than normal. WTP settled comfortably into the challenger's corner as a nice change of pace, showing off his own lineup for the great justice.

At 12:25 AM Eastern Standard Time, the battle commenced. Swampert and Talonflame led the charge. Talon, realizing he couldn't do much, was called back with a U-turn. However, Swampert had planned this, and reading his held item, he thrust Talon away with his Red Card, dragging out Dragonite as he expertly set up some Stealth Rocks. However, the dragon, fearing these pointy rocks, used the most useless surprisingly not-so-useless HM, Defog, to clear them away. Swampert attempted to entomb the dragon in some rocks while he was distracted.

Then, the tide turned a little bit. Swampert, predicting his foe to flee, went for the Rock Tomb again, ensnaring Togekiss this time. However, the flying turkey presented a contract, stating that upon taking damage from an attack that was not pleasant, it was going to evoke the Seal of Overpoweredness free of charge. Now came the decision time. Did Swampert brave the flying fairy and attempt to scare it away, knowing passing the torch of power to its friends was almost irresistible, or did it flee, knowing at attack was incoming? Swampert chose to face down the once-Normal-type, but he chose wrong. Togekiss struck out viciously with large leaves beefed up by the fertilizer they were given.

An hour into battle, the first Pokemon fell. Whimsicott swore to defend its fallen comrade, imparting some tricky Choice Specs onto the turkey as it tried to give the Grass-type an Encore. Knowing that both Pokemon would be locked into an endless struggle if they continued, both fled. Their Trainers sent out a new match, with Togekiss of WTP's own, and Lucario.

Fearing the steel move, Togekiss was called back for Infernape, a warrior WTP breifly questioned the purpose of. However, the Fire-type stood strong against Lucario as it MegaEvolved. It lashed out with its tail, but because its just a flimsy hand brush that just couldn't reach, Infernape avoided it.

Gleeful cackling echoed through the battlefield as the witch of the frozen forest then whispered, “Oh, I remember you,” as her laughter dissipated. The crowd shook their heads in dismay. All battlers knew better than to trust in the frost witch! “I'll be baaaaack~!”

Then, the frosty hair seemed to clear WTP's head a little. Infernape and he plotted, opting to risk the wrath of the dice and throw large stones at the foe. And he predicted correctly! Talonflame flew in to defend Lucario, but Stone Edge slammed into it, destroying it. WTP, satisfied, called, “who said Nape was obsolete again? Bitch, I don't need no speed boots.”

Dragonite returned to the field, angry about his fallen partner. Calling upon the earth, it sent forth a Bulldoze as Infernape set up the dreaded rocks again. Dragonite was in for a surprise as the second Red Card activated, whisking the dragon away and calling in the King of the Slowmons. Infernape did some fancy acrobatics and U-turned out of there, slapping Whimsicott's hand to come in instead, taking a Psychic easily.

Fearing the super effective attacks, Togekiss came in to try and defend, but it was caught up in the dangerous rocks, and on top of that, was showered in grass sapplings that sapped its health. A Light Screen was put up as Lucario swapped back in, and that same one allowed Whim to live a Flash Cannon later. However, directly before that, ice cracked and the temperature dropped. As Whim tried to ready a stun spore, the frosty forest winds blew just right, carrying it off into the trees. A feminine giggle was heard for an instant, and then it was gone.

Lucario finished Whim, and Dragonite took its place, firing off a Bulldoze and taking a Circle Throw in stride. The dice spirit was merciful on that one, but only barely. Infernape came in, and the same song and dance was played again. Infernape got out, and Slowking attacked, constantly regenerating health as it took up battle again.

WTP's evil turkey saw its opportunity here, however, managing to set up a sub and some mental boosts, plotting evilly as to how it could destroy Ash's team. Ash tried to evoke the rage of the dice by setting up a Trick Room and Amensia, but stalling does not work against the natural serence grace that is Togekiss, as Shadow Ball took that boost away. And, as Slowking tried to cripple and Disable the bird, Togekiss predicted it, clapping its feathered hands and cheering for more. Slowking could only obey or run.

Togekiss was quick to hand its Baton to the next player in line, the only one that hadn't seen action thus far. Gengar came in to handle Dragonite. As it Hazed, Gengar called upon its own Mega ring, taking its superior form and attacking the dragon with icy gales safe behind a Sub. Then, what could be done but send a Mega vs a Mega? Lucario came in only to be burned. The spirit of the dice narrowed her eyes, almost provoked by the opportunity. However, she tapped her fingers together and laid in wait for the next chance.

Gengar finished off Lucario as it lost its sub. Then, Blaziken came in, having quite the gauntlet to run, so they say. With fearsome foes left, it shook the earth has Gengar sniped it with a psychic blast. Then, both on low health, Togekiss relieved Gengar of its duty as Blaziken decided to take a nap. But that was okay, since it had brought some refreshments to wake it up right away.

Then, the frost spirit saw her chance. Blaziken fired off a mighty stone edge—

—only to miss drastically. He did not go to Spec Savers. Satisfied, the frozen witch decided she had had enough fun for the night and retired. However, Togekiss had such a good laugh at poor Blaziken's attempt that he called for an Encore. After tanking another hit, Togekiss made Blaziken drowsy.

Then, feeling gutsy, Ash went for it, firing off another Stone Edge. But then, Dragonite swooped in to save Togekiss, evoking his own Seal of Overpoweredness. Then, the horns started to sound as the battle waned. Dragonite, in revenge for his fallen comrades, went into an Outrage, slaying the rest of its foes on sight.

In the end, only WTP walked away victorious, for the great justice.

It didn't start out so good for DR, since Inner Focus blocked Fake Out's flinch, but after Hitmontop was OHKO'd, it was pretty back and forth for a while. There was a lot of set up and Baton Passing too. Scolipede tried to sub stall a little to pass some speed to Malamar, and that threw DR off a little, but Lapras handled it with a Haze. However, he did let Malamar get a Superpower off and then a Night Slash to kill off Lapras. Gengar took it down with a Destiny Bond, though. On the double down, Crobat and Leafeon came back in, which forced a switch to Jolteon. Then Crobat used Confuse Ray, and Jolteon smacked. It only got a 1 turn roll, though, so on the next turn it won the speed tie and KO'd. However, Scolipede was still alive, and it protected on the first Thunder Wave to get enough speed to KO Jolteon with Earthquake. All that was left was Leafeon, who can't really touch Scoli.

I predicted my dice being jerks. It started out rough for Smores, as Kabutops got burned on the switch in with Flare Blitz. It managed to get rocks up before it went down to Lapras, but that's about it. Araidos got up a Sticky Web and chipped away at it, and that's when things turned around. Azu came in to Encore Lapras into Brine, so it had to switch out. Jolteon came in, but Dugtrio swapped in to take the Thunderbolt, trapping Jolt in. Dugtrio finished Jolt and then Lapras, as it was low when it came in due to rocks. Snorlax tried to come in and Stockpile, but Azu swapped back in and Encored it into that, letting it set up a Belly Drum and finish Snorlax and Flareon off.
