Fun battle. Ash made some silly moves when he could have won definitely, and HD has the luck of the gods on his side. So ultimately the underdog came out with the upset.

Milotic, [Salamence], Ambipom, and Kingdra vs Hydreigon, Tyranitar, Emboar, and Mawile

Hydreigon got to Kingdra first. Ambipom came in and equalized. An unfortunate miss gave Ambi the lead on Emboar. Ambi then pushed its lead against Ttar with a well timed Low Kick. Then Mawile came in and finally brought down Ambi, but Milotic came in and there wasn't much to be done from there.

Also: Ebail got Pickup

Crobat, Blissey, Zebstrika, Garchomp, Miltank, Gallade vs Sableye, Cradily, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Espeon, Drapion

Pretty back and forth. Lots of switches on Xali's part to start out, but ultimately Sableye and Blissey died to status the same turn. Then more switches happened, but Xali had already put up Stealth Rocks so he got an advantage with it. Then a free stat up let Garchomp do some damage. Then Tyranitar switched in at the wrong time. Then Garchomp eventually made its way back out and it set up for the sweep.

Scolipede lead while trying to get a Swords Dance off and got OHKO'd. Nidoqueen then came out and Gliscor was brought in. Gliscor tried to Swords Dance and was OHKO'd. Then Cradily got some smacks letting it Swords Dance a few times. It then OHKO'd the switched in Gengar. Then damaged the Weezing while losing its stats. Then Nidoqueen was forced and KO'd Cradily, but Gyarados was brought in to finish it off.

Ayotui wins and gets 3k + Badge+ TM

Defender Xali the xalapeño vs Challenger Bumblebee the dino bot
Ambipom, Infernape, Tangrowth, Miltank, Alakazam, Metagross vs Rotom-W, Crobat, Mienshao, Espeon, Volcarona, Houndoom

Pretty high class battle. Lots of U-turning and predictions to be had. Ambi kept getting chip damage. Mienshao kept getting chip damage. There was a little bit of a long bit of Tangrowth trying to do enough damage to KO Rotom before it just painsplitted the damage back, but other than that pretty quick paced. Some good reads on both sides, and it probably all came down to a few moves and a few rolls. Ultimately, Xali was looking at facing 4 mons with just an Alakazam and Ambipom and Bee put himself in a place to control the match. Good fight from both sides.

I came in after a little with a raichu down on Xali's side. There was a lot of back and forth, and even though Xali was losing by a pokemon he still made some really good plays. Ambipom was then in position to KO sigilyph and bring it back to a 2v2 deficit, but Xali chose to sacrifice it for the chance to get a rise on a KOing charge beam. Was a good plan that would have gotten the win, but the dice decided against it. He didn't get the rise and Ash finished strong. Well fought by both sides.

Both battlers got some real random mons. They worked them well and threw attacks back and forth with some switching and support moves here and there. Eventually Xali got a leg up and held onto the lead. Felly fought back and brought it to a 1v1 at the end between Bronzong and Manectric, but Bronzong had less than a single percentage of health and Manectric was faster.
