Decoy FFA
All Pokémon begin with a free decoy (Substitute) and it is capped at 25% health. The decoy can be any legendary Pokémon (knows all moves it can learn) and it will work just like a Substitute. Stats from both the original and decoy Pokémon will be combined as one. When calculating damage received, the decoy’s type and ability will be used (unless it dies). You are allowed to use Substitute with your original Pokémon, even if it already has a decoy. The free decoy takes precedence over an actual Substitute. The decoy is unable to use Substitute.

During each turn, you may choose to send using either your original Pokémon or your decoy. If you send a move using your decoy and it dies, it will be reffed as “*Pokémon* is too surprised to move!”. You may choose to target your own decoy using your original Pokémon for whatever reasons. Moves like Psych Up or Skill Swap can target your own decoy. When used on other Pokémon however, it will always prioritize targeting the opponent’s decoy first (only if the decoy is no longer there, then it will target the real Pokémon).

Additional Notes

Spoiler

- Speed order is always determined by your original Pokémon’s Speed.
- Sound-based moves and the ability Infiltrator are able to intercept past the decoy Pokémon.
- Moves like Recover when used by the decoy will only heal 12.5%, since Recover originally heals the user by ½ of its max HP.
- Moves like Water Spout will work as followed: Base Power = 150 * (User’s Current HP / User’s Max HP which would be 25%).
- Decoy Pokémon is regarded as an ally Pokémon (which also means moves like Light Screen will also shield it).
- Abilities like Multiscale and Sturdy will not work with decoy Pokémon.
- Download, Imposter, Intimidate, and Trace will only work on regular Pokémon.
