So this morning before I went to school there were three stories on the story list, plus a fourth one that got added while I was at school apparently. There are now zero stories on the story list. I just want to say that you guys are the best. ;-; Although, if somebody could get to it THERE IS ONE UNCLAIMED ONE ON PE2K THAT'S ONLY 9k.

Would all of my graders please read the new Grading Guide. Take special note of the section that talks about how you're supposed to be helping the writer develop and improve their own style, not turning them into a mini-you. I know it's in there somewhere.

Also, read the rest. Taras did an awesome job with the overhaul.

I have a really old failed story that I want to fix up and get a regrade on, but I'm pretty sure the Grader is inactive now. Can I just ask anyone for a regrade, and for the Grader's benefit, would they have to write a whole Grade and what would the pay be like?

Oh, for the days when plot summaries and ripping a story apart to find every grammar mistake counted to making the Grade longer ;.;

Just grab a new grader (I think Kat and I are probably best for this sort of thing, since weighing the grader's original grade is important for regrades...). Pay might be a regrade bonus, but probably nothing (unless there's lots and lots of regrading).

'n yeah, I'm just pressing the one point 'cause a decent number of writers have talked to me about self-defeating feedback that neglected to address the fundamentals of intention/style. Plus, I've definitely seen a few grades floating about that have urged description considerations/etc that did not look remotely helpful to the writer. Some of it is just we writers being temperamental, and some of it is just we graders being temperamental, but some of it is genuine this-is-a-problem. So... keep an eye out for it.

The rest of the guide is kinda "if you want to get paid more" stuff.

Hey, children. I know I've promised to do junk for a whole bunch of you... However, there's this thing in the URPG Head of Stories section. It passes from one Head to the next upon resignation. I think it's called dissociative memory loss. Must be induced by herding you lot around, or something. Anyway. I can't remember everything I was supposed to get done, so if you asked me to do something and I haven't done it after a week or so (unless it's a grade; I take awhile with those)... it's because I've forgotten. Or I remember that I need to do it, but I've lost my link to the page and am too lazy to dig it up again.

So. If I was supposed to do junk for you, please remind me.
