    *shrug* I've not been keeping up with the latest season, I don't think the revived series is as good as classic Dr Who - although I will admit that the Weeping Angels are a fantastic new invention. So is the Matt Smith season better than the other revived seasons?

    It's not so much "Matt Smith" as "Stephen Moffat." Davies killed a whole bunch of things that were fantastic about the original Doctor Who, and the reboot, while it has its moments, is in pretty dire straits because of that. Plus, Davies is a crappy writer. I like the first four seasons of the new series despite of him, rather than because of him. The new writer, however, is a quality writer--subtle, logical, and very, very whimsical. It's still too early to tell, because season five was written as a transition year and season six is pretty much indecipherable at this point, but he seems to be covertly turning the show around--from what I gather, part of his goal is to return many aspects to mirror the older Doctor Who.

    So, I'm liking it a lot more than the earlier seasons... but Tom Baker still rules. I see potential for it to reach its previous awesomeness, though.

    Sound cool, I'll have to try and catch up at some point. And also I agree, Tom Baker is definitely the best Doctor, probably followed by Sylvester McCoy in my opinion.
