This writing competition is a little different than ones in years past: there are some qualifications to entering. If you don't qualify; never fear: there's a sister Sun/Moon-themed event running on PWN to match the other half of our old vs new theme--and the chumps here aren't even allowed to enter. And hey, if you see this and want to be up on the podium next time, grab your pens and start writing: there will be an Invitational hosted once every four writing competitions.

Submission Guidelines​

• To enter the Invitational, you must have placed in the final three (first, second, or third place) of a URPG writing competition. When submitting your story, post a link both to your entry and a link to the relevant writing competition that qualifies you for the Invitational.
• To ensure an even playing field and to discourage pre-written stories, all entries must be for the target Pokemon voted upon by URPG: Rotom, aka spoopy bear. You may feature other Pokemon in the story, but you may only capture Rotom. It's the best bear, after all. As always, stories may be no longer than 150,000 characters.
• You may submit a story from now until January 31st, 2016, at 11:59 P.M. CST. Any story submitted for grading before or after this time frame will be deemed ineligible for this competition.
• Please abide by our graphic content rule for competition stories.

Voting Guidelines​

• Stories will be voted on in rounds after submissions close. You make tons of cash and literally anyone in the URPG can vote, and if you vote in all rounds, I hear that Ely might give out special prizes. If you're not a member of the URPG, sign up today!
• When voting, vote for your favorite story within the round, not your favorite person. Winners should be selected based upon the quality of their writing, depth of creativity, and amount of work put into the story.
• If your story is featured in a round, you can still vote without damaging your standing -- you will receive a bonus number of points to offset your votes. Just don't vote for yourself or something lol.
• When voting, please send me a private message with the stories you liked the best in that round, with +3 being your first pick / favorite and +1 being your third pick. The story that has the highest combined tally in that round will proceed to the finals! Include a three-sentence summary of your story in your private message.
