Is there a required location for the run?

 

Silly GM, that's in the rules.

But no, this time you can pick where your run takes place .

 

Can we post egg lists after we know our scores? I'd have a very different list if I scored 100 than I would if I scored 15.

 

Already answered this in AIM and posted in the main thread, but no, you have to post before you know your scores.

 

Being a member of the urpg sounds like too much work...how about we split even and go for the win? There's a free half eaten candy bar in it for you DoH.

 

So... if I posted a list including 4 Intermediate and 1 Rare, but only got points up to the Intermediate level, I would have a 1/4 chance if getting my Pokemon, and the Rare mon is omitted?

And if I get like 100, there is then a 1/5 chance to get any Pokemon in my egg list?

 

So, just wondering, but how will Pain Split work for this event?

 

Exactly how it works. And if, fsr, you don't get enough points to get an Egg from your List, so long as you have enough points to claim one you can always take a Mon from the Contest itself.

Since the healing effects of moves are omitted, it would work as normal, but instead of having your HP get replaced if you use it on a Mon w/ higher HP, your HP will just stay the same. The only thing that would happen is the target Pokemon's HP going down.

 

Someone should quickly start this so I can follow their example!!!

And I gather that rangers only have to post summary posts like the previous capture event?

 

Yes, Rangers just write a sentence or two, like last time.

Feel free to expand on your posts guys, like how you got to the Park, your Trainer's thoughts, stuff like that.

 

I know a few people are wondering they can change their egg list for various reasons, either to same rank stuff or other rank stuff. I know you shouldn't be able to in all conditions. The two examples I know of are that BlueTowel put three marts and then ended up buying them and wants to change them, even to something of the same rank and I put a Venonat then wanted to change it as soon as I saw Machop but didn't think I could. What conditions, if any, can you change your egg list to (a) same rank and (b) different rank?

You can change your list up to the point that you know your final score. You don't need a specific reason to change it or anything.

 

Not sure if y'all saw, but I changed my egg list in the SU thread. I'm not even close to the end of my run so it should still be fine, I think.

Got an announcement everyone, and this is pretty important, so please read the whole thing.

Due to the fact that some people have been changing their Lists all over as well as putting in 3 and 4 of higher-ranked Mon, some of the Staff and I have come to the decision that Egg Lists will now be reverted to what they were when the Trainer first posted them, and are now locked into those Mon *UNLESS* you haven't started your RP yet. To clarify, if you've posted in your RP even ONCE, your Egg List is now locked into what it was when you first posted it. If you have yet to post for the first time in your RP, you are free to change your list.

Also, Egg Lists may now only contain, at most, 2 of any Pokemon. This won't be much of an issue since hardly anyone did this, but for anyone who hasn't started their RP yet and wants to change their list a bit, make sure you keep this in mind.

Finally, in order to save Winter's sanity as much as possible, we have also come to the conclusion that the event as a whole will end on April the 7th and that any runs that aren't finished by then will be locked. Because of this change, if your run doesn't end before the 7th, you will be refunded your entry fee in exchange for not being able to take a Mon from the event. Also, you CAN end your run early if you like; finishing your run only gets you extra points. So long as you've caught at least one Pokemon, you can quit the run and put that Mon up for Judging. The reason for runs being locked after the 7th is so Wages for the event can be done.

If your name is bold it just means your list was changed at some point and has been reverted to what it was when you first posted it. If your name is red that means you need to edit your list and change one or more Pokemon due to having 3+ of the same Mon.
