You toss the Pokedoll down, and the Meditite scoops it up before floating away. Then, you come across a crackling eel Pokemon that floats above the ground. Its massive body and sharp lamprey-style teeth are pretty intimidating. This Eelektross is the last Pokemon in your run.

Those PokeDolls must have had some good weed in them or something because I had never seen any Wild Pokemon ever turn them down. The Meditite immediately turned and hovered towards the plush toy. I motioned to Tank and we moved quickly onwards down the tunnel before the Psychic-type got bored.

I wasn't sure how much longer we were going to be here but surely it wouldn't be much longer at all. I was very impressed with how realistic this simulation was - if I'd been dunked in here unconscious, I wouldn't have ever known it. That actually had some scary connotations. What if all of us were in simulators, never actually living our lives?

My thoughts were cleared by the appearance of another Pokemon. It was big and yellow and hovered off the ground just like the Meditite. It had sharp spikey teeth and sparks crawled all around its body. The Pokemon looked very impressive, but I didn't particularly wish to battle it. I had no interest in Electric-type Pokemon, so I motioned for Tank to move on with me.

You try to edge past the large eel, but it makes an ominous growl, and electricity flashes up and down the pattern on its body. It turns to face you and looks like its thinking about fighting.

The Eelektross started to flash lights up and down its body and it floated over to block our way. I cursed unhappily - I'd almost prefer to fight the Meditite as opposed to this Electric-type monstrosity. Tank seemed like he was raring to go, but I could see a slight flicker of doubt in his eyes. We were both tired and seeing as I had no interest in capturing this thing I decided to try and escape. We only had one more shot before we were locked into a battle.

"Tank, try a Roar to scare this thing off," I said to the Scrafty. "We don't want to fight this thing. If your Roar fails, though, start Bulking Up and we'll have to create an opening ourselves."

My Scrafty stepped forwards ominously and lowered his hands onto the ground so that he was on all fours. He then screamed defiance at the Eelektross, and the sound was further amplified by the tunnel. Little flecks of spittle flew out of his mouth and I took a step back, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire. Hopefully this would cause the Wild Pokemon to take a second thought about challenging us.

Tank's mighty roar successfully chases away the Eelektross, who takes one look at the very-serious Scrafty and changes its mind. It floats away, slithering even though it isn't touching the ground. Then, you exit the Ruins to turn in the Pokemon you caught.
