    While Regalia's Air Slash does an impressive number on the wild Hypno, the Pokemon manages to successfully Snatch away the Reflect, placing a shimmering barrier around its form. Emboldened by this new defense, Hypno easily shrugs off another Hypnosis and strikes Regalia with a mighty Mega Kick.

    It seemed as though Hypno had actually managed to Snatch Regalia’s pseudo-Reflect, which in all honesty didn’t really surprise me. In fact, the main reason I’d chosen for Regalia to use Reflect was because it wouldn’t really do Hypno any good to have it in place. Ninety-nine percent of Regalia’s moves were Special-based, and the one Physical move he knew, Sky Attack, wouldn’t be getting used in this battle.

    Even when Hypno managed to shrug off the Hypnosis that Regalia fired off, her answering Mega Kick didn’t do much damage at all. It was at this point that I was glad I’d advised Regalia to set up a Cosmic Power, or else that attack might have hurt more than it had. Even now I could feel a dull ache in my stomach, in the same place Regalia had taken the attack. I blew out a breath and eyed the two Pokemon closely. A single solid Shadow Ball from my Pokemon would definitely take out a good chunk of Hypno’s remaining HP; maybe I could get lucky, and the sudden drop in energy and stamina might dissuade her from trying any more damaging moves. At this point, something like Thunder Wave would be preferable, simply because Regalia would take no further damage and such an attack would likely miss anyways.

    =All right, we’ve got this one in the bag! Or maybe I should say in the Ball!= I told Regalia, feeling adrenaline start to course through me. It was coming down to the wire; soon everything would be decided for better or for worse. I clutched the Hyper Ball so tightly my knuckles popped, but I ignored it as I focused all my concentration on the two Pokemon locked in combat before me. =Fire up another Shadow Ball! If we’re lucky, the blow will weaken Hypno enough that she won’t have the will or energy to counter with another damaging move. Just in case she’s spiteful, though, be ready to a counter.=

    Regalia gave no answer, but he didn’t need to. I could feel his confidence and pride filling me as his Bold nature took over. Doing what he did best, which was do things with flair, the Sigilyph ruffled his feathers and sharply flapped his wings. The movement caused several loose feathers to get dislodged; these floated graceful through the air as Regalia’s body was once again encased in Ghostly energy. With another powerful heave of his wings, the energy jumped from his body and formed and orb. This tore through the air, spiraling towards Hypno with a faint whistling sound. I tensed, waiting for just the right second to throw the Hyper Ball.

    ===

    OOC: Barring any unforeseen events, like Hypno randomly teleporting or something, I’ll be throwing the Hyper Ball if Shadow Ball hits and stuff.

    Regalia's Shadow Ball causes Hypno to stagger, now greatly weakened. As you throw the Hyper Ball at the wild Pokemon, the creature is sucked in and only shakes once before coming to a still.

    As you walk over to pick up the Hyper Ball, a Gardevoir materializes in front of you. <Your time here is at an end, but the journey back does not have to be a long one,> it intones, the mental voice revealing the Pokemon to be a female. <I can transport you back to the front gate in the blink of eye. When you are ready, we can set out.>
