OOC: I like how you noted how Detect and Aura Sphere hindered each other - good job on that; it's always nice to see that trainers have taken notice of what we rangers have come up with. On the other hand, the ExtremeSpeed/Quick Attack+ follow up move combo is starting to get just a bit overused, so you could really improve in terms of quality if you could think of a different strategy. Perhaps use the Deerling's moves to your advantage, or use your surroundings, etc etc. :3 Also, I guess you could add more MCR by not only describing your attacks, but also the Deerling's attacks, and possibly what you thought of them. Did you think it was a weak attack? Unexpected attack? Stuff like that - the same way you described Luke's irritability (again, good job on that!) ^_^

    BP#3

Voltaire, seeing as how Luke's earlier indecisiveness between the two conflicting moves had cost him some health, decided to go back to his previous strategy of ExtremeSpeed plus a follow-up attack.

With that said, the Lucario seemed quite content with the move choice, and soon had a trail of white chrome circling his feet. His lower limbs began to shimmer brightly once again, giving him that boosted speed and power to propel him towards the Season Pokemon at such a high velocity.

Mid-run, his arms began to glow as well, this time an ominous puff of dark red, Fighting-type power engulfing it. He raised his arms up as he came to a full stop in front of his target. Then, with all his might, he slammed his palms down, generating not only an audible sound symbolizing the force of the collision, but also a huge blast of light green energy.

I had to shut my eyes from the blinding rays bursting out from the Aura Pokemon's paws. Once the glare behind my eyelids finally faded, I managed to open my eyes once again, surveying the battlefield. I gulped - some of the beams seemed to have targeted some nearby trees, burning holes in them and breaking branches off them. As for the wild creature himself, he looked quite stunned as well from the overwhelming brightness from the attack.

Shaking his head as if to clear out the spots in his eyes (I know I have them in mine, despite having been able to shut them), he decided to retaliate with an ironically dark move - and I wasn't even kidding. A dim aura suddenly enveloped him as he prepared to charge. Running as fast as he could, he turned this way and that, charging n the left side then on the right, causing the Steel-Fighting-type to not only become confused but also even more irritated. One moment, the Normal-Grass-type seemed to have made up his mind and had stayed on the left, but the next, he was right beside the Lucario on his right side. Luke, not having enough time to react, soon found himself tumbling backwards from the opponent ramming into him.

The Deerling then laughed to himself as he sped off, galloping away from the foe and back to his side of the battlefield. Raising his head up high, he closed his eyes to relax as the sunlight streamed down on him. He absorbed the sunshine for he knew gathering up the light would give him the solar energy he needed to complete his next attack.

A SolarBeam attack awaits Luke while Luke just recovered from the Faint Attack of the Season Pokemon. What move should I use for this time? Detect seems unreliable, basing on how it hindered the Aura Sphere attack. I still need to think of a combination to counter the move.

"Luke, try using Nasty Plot. After that, do a combination of Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere!" I said, hoping that it would just work.

The Aura Pokemon started to concentrate on dark thoughts. As the Nasty Plot move started to cover Luke with a dark aura, he started to accumulate all of those thoughts at one sphere. With those thoughts are mixed with Aura Sphere, forming another bright blue hued ball of energy. Then, he started to meld the two spheres. A mix of black and blue gives off a ball of dark blue energy. Hopefully, the move combination is enough to blast off the SolarBeam attack the tricky Season Pokemon prepared.

If ever the two attacks collide, an explosion would occur. It would mean lessened visibility between the two Pokemon. Before that ever happens, I need to command Luke. "Luke, watch the Deerling , then use Quick Attack!"

Rather than partnering those speedy moves with another move, I used the move itself to damage the opponent. Quick Attack is fast, but not enough to reduce the Aura Pokemon into a blur. Then, reaching the Season Pokemon near enough, Luke would then bash the Deerling using any of his body parts, like his hands

Luke had no trouble following his trainer's first command - Nasty Plot. After all, his thoughts were already quite dark even before having to use the said move, and it was all thanks to the irritatingly jolly and nonchalant behavior of the Season Pokemon.

Generating even more harsh thoughts, he soon managed to boost up his fighting spirit, as well as create an ominous orb of swirling grayish-black in front of him. As he controlled the dark sphere with his mind, he brought his hands to the front of his torso, palms facing each other. While dark thoughts entered the ball of evilness, another form of energy shot through the Lucario's arms, allowing him to create a bright blue orb in between his paws.

Both spheres grew larger and larger with each passing moment, with more darkness adding to the black-colored one, and more Fighting-type power pulsing into the other one that was of a blue hue. The Aura Pokemon brought the two balls together, allowing their individual, unique energies to mix, pulsing against each other, melding into each other. The blend brought about an even larger and stronger orb altogether, empowered by both Dark-type and Fighting-type energy.

At this point, the Deerling had completed his own powering-up as well, gaining the necessary amount of strength he needed for his own attack from the bright sunlight streaming down on us. As he released a glinting green beam of Grass-type energy, the Steel-Fighting-type, meanwhile, unleashed his new spherical creation as well.

The twisting and turning tube-like attack met the black-and-blue ball head on, and their energies fought for dominance, as opposed to the Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere that had instead teamed up and worked together, creating a new power from within. Despite both Pokemon and both attacks' best efforts, the result was a grayish-black explosion of dust and dirt. The resulting cloud of smoke blinded everyone in the surrounding area, including the two creatures battling. And it didn't look like it would be settling down anytime soon.

Voltaire decided to take advantage of the slow settling motion of the dust to order a follow-up attack. In spite of the puff of dust hindering his vision, the Lucario obeyed anyway - getting prepared to attack quickly but effectively once he could pinpoint his target. As before, trails of white light surrounded his lower limbs, giving them that sort of push, that rush to be able to speed across the battlefield in a very short amount of time.

A few moments later, while Luke was getting pumped, a good deal of the smoke had had a chance to settle, allowing for him to have a decent view of his target - good enough for him to be able to deliver his attack straight on. He zipped across the grass, pushing his way through whatever vestiges of dust and dirt had remained suspended in the air. He was barely even visible to our eyes, still rather well-hidden in the dust. Next thing we knew was a shout of surprise that no doubt had come from the Normal-Grass-type. It seemed as though the plan had worked perfectly - he had indeed been caught off-guard by the Aura Pokemon's sudden and swift attack.

The billowing smoke did settle down eventually - only a few moments after the Quick Attack had been executed, in fact. At this point in time, the wild creature was preparing to charge once more, his hooves trudging against the grassy ground as he stared his opponent down with a glint of humor in his eyes. As it seemed, the Deerling still wasn't taking the battle as seriously as one would expect, still having that jolly and carefree expression evident everywhere.

He charged, slamming into the Lucario with such force, you'd wonder where he'd gotten the strength from. It definitely was not any regular ol' tackle. Luke was taken aback by the increase in power, stumbling backwards and almost falling over. He managed to steady himself before that happened, though.

But with all good things come consequences to balance everything out - that's how it was in almost every aspect of life, anyway. With an attack of such high power, there was bound to be a downside to the said move. And there was - as the Season Pokemon backed away from his foe, a contorted expression overcame his face, causing him to cringe in pain. It was as though a small shock or tremble had surged through him, and damage had been inflicted despite the lack of attack from the Aura Pokemon. That, is what they call "recoil" damage.

Now that the Season Pokemon has no moves to plan yet, I decided to use the little power-up of the Nasty Plot move to create another Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere. This time, there would be changes.

"Luke, make another combination of Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere," I said to the Aura Pokemon. Once again, the Lucario would create another set of sphere of both dark thoughts and willpower. But instead of flinging it away, I had an earlier idea. "Now, run towards the Deerling using Quick Attack!" While this could be a hard task, the Lucario would run to the opponent while balancing the dark blue mass of energy. But that is not the end of it. "Use Force Palm and the sphere as the power!" This does the trick. The Dark Pulse and the Aura Sphere would be slammed to the Season Pokemon using the Force Palm. Then, the Force Palm would contribute to the power, releasing a dark red, Fighting-type energy.

With those moves, I just simply hope it wouldn't make the Pokemon faint.

    @Voltaire Magneton;

OOC: I love how you combined all these moves! It probably would've done more damage, however, there was obviously a risk that it might lose too much health before you manage to hit MCR. But, again, thumbs up for the move choice!

    BP#5

Seeing as how his previous combination of moves had dealt a significant amount of damage to the wild creature, Voltaire decided to use the same tactic once again, only that there was even more to it.

First, the Lucario was tasked to create the same dark blue orb from combining an Aura Sphere and a Dark Pulse. Pouring out all of his anger and emotions, his mind soon managed to create a ghostly orb of swirling black tendrils in front of him. Bringing his paws in front of him, with both palms facing each other, he shaped up another sphere of energy, this time bright blue in coloration. Dark thoughts flooded into the blackish-gray mass, while Fighting-type energy pulsed into the blue-hued ball.

Once he had deemed both spheres large enough, he used his mind to control the orb of darkness to move downward, while he used his hands to bring the other ball up, allowing them to come closer... The spheres collided serenely, with much energy radiating off both of them, and much concentration was evidently needed from Luke to be able to blend the two attacks into each other without completely destroying both balls. It was a rather slow task, and utmost care was necessary - if the orbs had met each other at any faster pace, the most probable result might have been the attacks losing their power, canceling each other out, or worse, creating an explosion right in front of the Aura Pokemon.

Both orbs' individual powers mixed with the other's, fading into each other, then coming out even stronger. Bursting with the Dark-type and Fighting-type energy that was empowering it, the spherical compound was definitely a force to be reckoned with.

While he held the ball in his paws, his lower limbs began to glow as well. Trails of white light whipped around his legs and feet, giving him that extra push forward. Combined with his running, the chromes of energy around his legs allowed him to really speed across the grassy area, making up for lost time used to painstakingly melding the orbs together earlier.

And then, just when one would think that the move combination couldn't get any more complicated, it did. Of course. The trainer commanded for yet another attack - Force Palm. More Fighting-type energy rushed through Luke's arms, emanating an ominous deep red glow that complemented the dark blue shade of the orb in his palms.

Coming to a full stop beside the Season Pokemon, who had little time to successfully evade the attack, the Steel-Fighting-type brought his arms down, full force. On its own, the Force Palm would've already inflicted a good amount of damage, but now, it was even stronger with the added power from the dark blue sphere. Luke smirked as the Deerling gave a yelp of pain, the attack sending a jolt of hurt coursing through him from where the ball slammed into him, sending him into a rush to distance himself from the opponent.

The Normal-Grass-type had little remaining energy and strength left, and he knew that well. He opened his mouth to reveal a number of seeds he had been preparing while the Lucario had been working on the two orbs. The seeds shot into the air, going in a downwards direction as they planted themselves into the soil around the Aura Pokemon. They grew quickly - a moment later, green vines were creeping up and out from under the ground, clinging to the entity's feet. They entangled themselves with the entity's body as they twisted and turned, creeping and slithering their way around him.

The vines suddenly glowed a bright red color, signaling the drainage of the Steel-Fighting-type's health. Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, plants had also grown around the wild creature. They were shorter, breaking the surface of the earth only to connect themselves to the Season Pokemon, wrapping themselves around his legs. They, too, began to shimmer with the same bright red color as the ones around the Lucario had. In fact, one could assume that they were one and the same thing, connecting the two creatures. As the nutrients were drained out from the Steel-Fighting-type, they were transported undergroung by means of the vines, then the Normal-Grass-type absorbed the energy, reinvigorating him while the opponent had his strength relinquished.

Soon, the vines had stopped glowing. However, while the plants on the opponent's side had sunk their way back into the soil, the ones tangled around Luke had remained, leaving him in a rather trapped state.

The Season Pokemon was successful in putting Leech Seeds in Luke. These Leech Seeds could be fatal to the victim. Unfortunately, Luke doesn't have any moves that could help him remove the pesky seeds and vines that entangle over him. It looks like I have to switch to Flyon.

"Good job, Luke!" I called over Luke to return him to his Poke Ball. After that, I took another ball and threw it in the air. "Go! Flyon!"

The Mystic Pokemon roared as he emerged from his Poke Ball. He is levitating with the help of his ever-working wings.

Returning to the battle, I commanded him a move. "Use Sand Tomb!"

Sand Tomb puts the opponent in a vortex of damaging sand. Along with that, it also works as a shot-forward type of Sandstorm. But I just do not want o cause a sandstorm in a place like this, especially with the fine weather.

The Leech Seed could definitely prove to be disastrous, if not fatal, for Luke, and the trainer, upon realizing this, decided to call the Lucario back to his Pokeball. There was a bit of trouble, though - the vines wouldn't let go of the creature that easily.*While the erratic beam of red light tugged at him, attempting to pull him up and away from the battlefield, the vines were still tightly secured around his body, never once loosening their grasp on the Aura Pokemon. The Deerling, meanwhile, thought it a simply hilarious sight to watch, and ended up laughing his head off as he scampered around the area.

Enraged by how much he was shamed in a battle, by the opponent's insane antics, as well as the tug-of-war happening, the Steel-Fighting-type buffed up his arms, forcing the vines around him to snap as he furiously pushed his way out of the trap. As he was transported into the inside of the red-and-white sphere, he gave a grunt, happy that his part of the bout was now over.

Producing another Pokeball, Voltaire called out his much more energized partner, Flyon. The green creature was revealed with a flash of white light, flapping his wings to keep him in the air.

"Use Sand Tomb!" The command rang out, and with that, the Flygon's eyes began to shone with a brilliant blue color, as if he could control the ground around the Normal-Grass-type. Come to think of it, in a way, he actually could, proven by the tornado of sand and dirt that had suddenly appeared around the opponent's four legs.

The vortex of dust rose and fell, sometimes engulfing the whole creature, other times just shifting around his feet and legs. It was definitely a rather unstable attack. And when it finally calmed down, what remained was sand swirling around his legs, trapping him, keeping him in his place.

Finding himself stuck in the ground thanks to the Mystic Pokemon's attack, the wild creature resulted to using a move that would not require physical contact. With that, his whole body was enveloped in a bubble of green-colored energy. Tendrils of the same bright lime shade burst out in all directions, kindling with power. With a mighty heave, the Season Pokemon unleashed the barrage of erratic rays, which quickly encompassed the foe with a similar glow of green. The energy shook him, sending sudden volts of pain through him while also trying to induce a status ailment, causing him to shiver mid-flight from the impact of the attack.

Secret Power was a move known to have a rather high chance at inflicting a stats condition onto the victim, depending vastly on the terrain in which the battle was occurring. If I remembered correctly, a grassy battlefield usually meant sleep could possibly be induced.

At that moment, the green light had left the outline of the Gound-Dragon-type's body, the energy fading into thin air. The entity was expressionless, though he did attempt to stretch his muscles as if to try to stay awake. He let out a yawn, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. Wile the move hadn't exactly caused him to fall asleep, it definitely looked like it had been mighty close to succeeding. Voltaire and his Pokemon had to be careful.

The Season Pokemon is already on a low state of health, but I feel that it is not yet ready for a capture. I guess I should stall the time and weaken the Deerling for a while.

I quickly sent my commands to the Mystic Pokemon, who seemed nonchalant about the battle anyway. "Use SonicBoom, Flyon!"

Flyon flapped his wings fast enough to make it to a blur of green hue. As the wings fluttered very fast, it generated sonic waves that could cause damage to whatever it hits. The ultrasonic sound waves zoomed through the air, slashing the air and leaving the sand vortex intact, therefore hitting the Season Pokemon while keeping the Sand Tomb unhindered.

Meanwhile, even though the Normal-and-Grass type is being buffeted by the Sand Tomb, he seems to be happy and mischievous as like he was a while ago. Studying Flyon's behaviour, he does not care on how the Season Pokemon acts crazy unlike Luke, who almost went to a frenzy as the Deerling trolled about.

While the wild creature was already on the low side of things when it came to energy levels, the trainer decided to continue attacking anyway, making good use of the sandy trap the opponent was being held captive in. This was a good decision on his part, if I do say so myself - the next commanded move was unlikely to cause a knock-out, and it was always a smart idea to bring down the foe's health as much as one could.

The Mystic Pokemon rubbed his wings together, the friction eliciting a somewhat buzz-like sound out of them. As the vibration increased in velocity, so did the loudness of the sound. Flapping his brilliant green wings faster and faster, the creature soon created a blast of sound waves. The wings were going at such a high speed, they quickly became a barely even visible blur of red and green shades as they whipped up even more strong gusts of air, soon managing to create a cyclone of wind that somehow shone a bright white at the same time. The sonic waves were unleashed with a strong whirring sound to accompany them, which luckily wasn't noise - it wasn't particularly pleasant to the ears, but at least it wasn't as horrid as the earlier Screeches and SuperSonics.

Due to the sand he had been trapped in, the poor Normal-Grass-type couldn't do anything against the attack coming his way, however - except, perhaps, to brace himself as much as possible, and hope that the on-coming attack wouldn't hurt him too much. The cyclone pushed against him, as if threatening to tear across his skin as the winds slapped against him. One would usually welcome cool breezes to refresh oneself, but damage-dealing ones were certainly exceptions. As the swiftly-moving air rushed past him, he was actually glad for being stuck in place - at least, this way, he wouldn't be blown away by the harsh winds.

Once the last of the sonic blasts had swept by him, the Season Pokemon quickly charged himself up for his next attack. Grass-type energy rumbled through him, peaking at his nuzzle where a green orb was formed. The sphere grew and grew as more energy entered it, strengthening its stability and power. The entity crouched down, dipping his head, his hunches moving sidewards, repositioning themselves. His front part was now somewhat in a bent position, as if doing the kind of bows one would expect from a royal family. But then I realized it was only a way to further boost the power of his attack, pulling back before swinging forward suddenly to release it. I watched as the Deerling turned and swung his head at the same time, unleashing the packed sphere with so much force, it sped right through the air.

The mass of Grass-energy collided with the target, an audible thud resonating around the area as it slammed into the creature's chest. The Flygon seemed to cough, pushed back as though the wind had been knocked right out of him. He almost plummeted to the ground, but fortunately, his red-edged wins sprang to life in the nick of time, allowing him to be air-borne once again.

Closing his eyes, the Deerling seemed to will our surroundings to help him - the environment giving him a surge of energy. The grass around him seemed to turn towards him, as if being pulled by an invisible magnetic force. It was nature that allowed him to perform this next attack - his opened jaw revealed a large seed. At first, one might presume that it was yet another Leech Seed tactic, but upon thinking it through, the said attack had used multiple seeds that were certainly smaller than this new one. And then, I put two and two together, coming up with a completely new inference: if the move that had been executed was Nature Power, there was a high possibility that this might be a Seed Bomb attack, transformed with the help of the grassy terrain.

"I think it might be a Seed Bomb," I warned the trainer.

OOC: No more edits after this post, so this post is final. I am also trowing a Ball after this.

    ---

The Season Pokemon threatens to use Nature Power (which would turn out to be a Seed Bomb) at Flyon. Unfortunately, Flyon has no much moves to protect himself from these kinds of attacks. It looks like another attack would counter this attack. I would try this one for now.

"Flyon, use DragonBreath!" I said as the possible counterattack for the Seed Bomb/Nature Power.

Flyon concentrated his draconic power in his mouth. Then, he would release the powerful energy in a narrowly straight line in the same style of a Flamethrower attack. Hopefully, this fiery and draconic flame could lessen the whole power of the Seed Bomb and more hopes are passed if the DragonBreath attack zooms toward to the Season Pokemon, therefore causing real damage.

But anyway, I had to give the Season Pokemon a real attack. "Perform another SonicBoom!"

Flyon would flap and rub his two wings quickly to generate those damaging soundwaves. Once again, those waves would pass through the sand vortex and hit the Deerling.

Dragon-type energy was building up within him, bubbling up and getting stronger as they rose to his throat. The pulse sent waves of heat coursing through his bloodstream as he continued to pump energy into the mass in his mouth.

A hurricane of wind burst out from his nuzzle, conflicting with the calm breezes in the Gardens. The gusts had some sort of faint blue light to them as they twirled 'round and 'round, like a twister let loose. The Deerlign released his own attack - the large seed shot out of his mouth, exploding in mid-air and creating multiple smaller seeds. They were raining down on us, but the cyclone soon found its mark, colliding with the green bombs.

As with any attack battling against another, both would - one way or another - cancel each other out, unless one move was significantly weaker than the other. This scenario was no different, except that there were loads of little seeds heading for the Mystic Pokemon that one could not simply expect the DragonBreath to eliminate every single last one of them. A few grains remained, bursting with Grass-type energy upon contact with the Ground-Dragon-type's body. He took little damage, though, as his own assault had done a great job with taking care of the wild entity's Seed Bomb.

Flyon's next attack also made use of moving air as he flapped his red-edged wings as rapidly as he could. They rubbed against each other at such a high velocity, they had quickly become a barely visible blue of brilliant colors, generating just the right amount of friction to release bright white sonic waves. The gusts were accompanied by loud, but not entirely unpleasant, sounds - adding even more to the sonic aspect of the move. The cyclone barreled into the Deerling in every way a mighty and noisy breeze could, ears pressed against his head against the force of the impact. They pushed against his chest, threatening to knock the air right out of his lungs. The only thing keeping the Season Pokemon from tumbling backwards from the shockwaves' blows was the sand trapping his legs.

The Normal-Grass-type was pretty much ripe for the capture right now. He was dangerously low on health, and it seemed as though his energy had been drained as well. And he couldn't quite do anything to retaliate for he was still stuck in the ground. Still, there was a twinkle of playfulness in his eyes - never once did he get angry or frustrated during this battle; he was definitely one positive and high-spirited fellow.

The Deerling is at critically low levels in accordance to his health, yet his energy and playfulness never gets low. If it was not for the sand vortex that entrapped him from mobility, he would continue his trollingship and try to annoy the Mystic Pokemon. Fortunately, Flyon is calm minded and would not go crazy on crazy-acting Pokemon.

Before it ends, it is time to throw a Super Ball. I took a Super Ball on my backpack. I readied my throw by concentrating on it. I threw it, in hopes that it could get the Season Pokemon in one try out of a Super Ball.

Deciding that the Deerling's energy had been drained enough from the battle to attempt a capture, the trainer opened his backpack to retrieve another Superball. He grasped it tightly, taking his time to aim it at the semi-immobilized Season Pokemon. Tossing the orb, Voltaire took in a deep breath as the sphere soared through the air and found their mark. I could feel the tension bubbling, as if threatening to break out any moment now...

The green-colored orb had tapped the wild creature on his flank, and as the erratic red beam engulfed him, he gave a faint smile, as if knowing exactly what was going to happen. His eyes shone brightly, understanding and intelligence evident in them for such a playful and crazy little battler. His positive expression never faltered once during the whole course of the battle - save, of course, for the times he had howled out in pain from an attack, but that was besides the point. What really mattered was how high-spirited he was, his personality and humorous antics sure to make him a jolly companion for the teen.

The zig-zagging energy sucked the Normal-Grass-type, tugging him up and out from the ground's clutches, and into what Voltaire would hope was his new housing. Snapping shut, the orb allowed gravity to pull it back down to earth, coming down to land on the sand trap the Deerling had been stuck in just moments before.

It wobbled around the dusty pit, trembling back and forth, left and right. And then, it came to a sortof standstill, and I could feel the sweat breaking out on my forehead from the pressure. The tension was building up quickly as the orb shook - tipping to the left and then to the right without rolling about - once, twice... Then, finally, and third time - coming to a full stop with a satisfying click, resting serenely in the middle of the sandy pit.

Rushing over to pick the ball up, I dug my hand in the sand to retrieve it. Cautiously, I shook the dust off its surface, making sure it was clean and shiny, signifying that it contained the newly-caught Pokemon.

"Congratulations! Nice job with the battle and the capture," I told the trainer with a smile. It was always uplifting when you saw that the trainer you were taking through the Park had successfully captured the wild creature they wanted.

OOC: Yep, I am stopping my run here.

    ---

After the three successful captures in this park run, I guess I had a fill of here. After all, I just wanted to try this for experience. I walked nearer to the Ranger and said, "I am stopping my run on this. Could you please escort me back to the proper places so that I could claim my catches."

Most people would complain or something, but I have a fragil sense of contentment.

I could say I had a very fun time on th National Park.

    @Voltaire Magneton;

Voltaire stated that he was content with his three captures and wished to leave. I nodded, feeling high-spirited that the trainer was happy about what he had encountered. "Alright, have fun with your new Pokemon!" I smiled, then called out Adrian. I gave my Gallade the go signal, and then we were teleported back to the Ranger Headquarters. There, the teen received his three captured Pokemon, and there, his run officially ended.
