"Don't you have someone to be taking?" Selma, the desk lady for today said. I walked over to her.

"Jeez, I just got back from my vacation and you already want to throw me out?" I grinned as she handed me a file.

"Yes, no get going." She smiled as she blushed a little. I grabbed the file and winked at her as I made my way back to my office. I had just gotten back from my vacation at a resort, which I had to say was quite relaxing. I grabbed my backpack and four Pokeballs to help assist me on my upcoming park run with the Trainer. I walked out of my office and back to the front desk.

"Okay," I said to Selma as I put my Ranger hat on. "I'm going to need your phone number incase I need something sent over on this park run. She smiled and wrote it down on a sticky note.

With a huge grin on my face, I walked out. I knew that she knew that I was lying, but it worked. I whistled loudly and a couple of seconds later, a large, black demon dog came running at me.

"Hey buddy!" I said as he placed his two paws on my chest to lick my face. He had went on his own vacation just like I had. "Alright, let's see who we got here. Jessse? He should be waiting for us at the entrance of the Botanical Gardens, let's go." I tossed a Pokeball to my side and a light brown humanoid Pokemon wielding two spoons stood before me. He had darker brown plates on his knees and elbows.

"Smokescreen, can you teleport us the the Botanical Gardens entrance?" I asked. It was obvious that he could, but I found it better to ask rather than to make them do it. He smiled and nodded as his body began to glow white. A bright light flashed before my eyes, and in an instant, we were gone.

When the light flashed, we found ourselves at the entrance of the Botanical Gardens. A boy was sitting there waiting. I put Smokescreen back into his Pokeball and walked over to him.

"Hey, you must be Jesse?" I said, extending my arm. "I'm Leo, I'll be your Ranger today. Shall we get going?"

I gazed out with his small light blue eyes towards the Botanic Gardens; he could see the wide green plains as far as the eye could see. I had never seen this big of a variety of plants in his life. Trees, flowers, bushes, vegetables, and fruit plants filled the area, adding various amounts of colors to the area. On top of that I could see all the different Pokémon in the area. Of the corner of his eye he saw a family of skittys playing around jumping over each other and running around messing with each other. In another area a variety of grass type Pokémon where together sleeping. Other Pokémon where scattered around the area, Jesse pointed, counting the number of Pokémon he could see as he awaited for his ranger to take him in.

I examined my Pokégear; I could see my reflection in off the screen, I had blonde hair reaching almost over my ears, my nose was pretty normal not being too big or too small, and my mouth was usually baring a smile. The time was about 10:25 am, the sun was out shining upon the gardens, the temperature was about 81 degrees at the time, but it being only morning meaning it was only going up from there.

After checking my Pokégear, I still had a little time before the ranger was suppose to be here, I took out my bag and looked through it to make sure I had what he needed, inside the bag was some Parkball’s, Hyperball’s, and Super Potions inside the bag. I was semi prepaid even though I had no idea what I was getting myself into, this being my first time going to the national park.

I turned around and began to study the path before me waiting for any given sign of my Ranger. I than quickly turned back around to look out at the gardens, quickly after that I had noticed a flash from behind me. I quickly got up and saw that it was my ranger, I examined him, he was taller than me by about a half a foot, and he was wearing the typical ranger cloths that I had seen on other rangers.

I then examined the Pokémon that beside him that must have caused the flash. It was an Alakazam. Alakazam had light yellow skin, with brown plates on his chest, arms, and knees. The ranger than pulled out a pokeball, he pressed the button in the center between the red and white and a read beam shot out, that then began to engulf Alakazams body.

"Hey, you must be Jesse?" The ranger said, extending my arm. "I'm Leo, I'll be your Ranger today. Shall we get going?" Leo finished.

“Nice to meet you too.” I said, then reaching out my arm to shake his hand. After Almost touching his arm I thought it would be fun to mess with him, so I quickly jerked my hand back and yelled “PSYCH!” my squeaky voice echoed throughout the area.

“Haha, just kidding!” I then said reaching out my arm again to shake his hand. “Alright let’s get this thing going!” I exclaimed as I ungripped his hand and began to walk towards the gate.

“Nice to meet you too.” He said, extending his hand. “PSYCH!” he said in an annoying squeaky voice. “Haha, just kidding!” he said, shaking my hand. I just glared at him.

“Alright let’s get this thing going!” He exclaimed. I nodded, still glaring at him. I didn't say anything. I just motioned with my hand for him to follow me.

The Gardens was always a nice place to go. The sun was shining bright in the sky, but the clouds provided excellent shade. On top of that, the trees in the area provided even more shade. I saw a small patch of flowers covering rustling. I knew it couldn't be the wind, because they were shaking pretty hard. I looked to my left and saw a path that led to a larger garden.

"You wanna check that out?" I asked in an angry voice, pointing at the flowers moving. "Or go through that path?"

The gardens where even better from inside, Jesse could actually smell the flowers, touch the trees, and just run around and have fun. From where I stood he could see many different Pokémon and plants of many different colors. The site was beautiful, I felt as if I could have stood there forever. The sun was still brighter than ever them temperature kept increasing and at this rate, I could tell that it was going to be a hot day.

The park run had only just started and Leo was pretty much already mad at me. “It’s only gonna get worse from here.” I told him as we were walking one of the trails. He made no contact with me and just continued walking on the path. I looked up and awaited a response, but he still said nothing.

I continued to walk along the path and came to a quick stop when I noticed that Leo was studying a nearby flower patch. It can’t be the wind I thought as I didn’t feel any wind hitting me. It must be a Pokémon!

"You wanna check that out?" He asked in an angry voice, pointing at the flowers moving. "Or go through that path?" He asked.

“Sure, let’s do this.” I told him quickly after his question.

“It’s only gonna get worse from here.” He said to me. I wasn't mad, but I decided I'd play his little game and pretend that he was getting me mad. Nothing really got me mad, just annoyed, and I knew that's what he wanted to do. Why though, was still not clear.

“Sure, let’s do this.” He said quickly, not clearly stating which way he wanted to go. I just shook my head and walked over to the flower patch. I moved over some of the blue and red roses and saw a small honeycomb on top of a lime green flower. The small golden honey comb fell off of the flower.

"Hey there little guy!" I said in a quiet voice so that I wouldn't scare it as I caught it in my hands. It crawled up my hand, leaving a bit of honey on it.

"Beee!" It cried as it circled Jesse and me. It was a young one for sure, probably a month old or less. It landed on Jesse's shoulder.

"You want to try capturing it?" I asked. "Looks like it likes you."

The little Combee landed on my shoulder after Leo had realized it, it was small and fragile, had three hexagon honeycombs all having eyes and a mouth, two antennas on its top combs, and wings connected. It was a cute little thing minding its own business, and just being friendly. I knew I didn’t want it on its team, but didn’t want to hurt it.

"You want to try capturing it?" I asked. "Looks like it likes you." Leo asked as I looked at it sitting on my shoulders. The combee had a smile on its face, but I knew I didn’t want it.

“Not really interested in capturing it.” I responded. “Maybe it will just go away, if it’s not to drawn to me.” I said with a chuckle as I walked over to Leo and handed it to him. “Bee!” the Combee said happily.​

“Not really interested in capturing it.” He responded. I could see the little Combee's face drop. “Maybe it will just go away, if it’s not to drawn to me.” The Combee looked sad as it buzzed back towards me.

“Bee!” the Combee said happily as it landed on my shoulder.

"Sure, you can come with me." I smiled as I put it on my shoulder. "Just for a while though."

"Okay, let's walk that way I guess." I said pointing to the dirt path I had mentioned earlier.

"Combee!" It cried out as we began to go through the pathway. Then, out of no where, a loud thump could be heard somewhere in front of us. Seconds after that there was a loud scream followed by another loud thump. The ground shook a little as some Pidgey and Tailow flew into the sky. The scream sounded like it was in pain.

"Let's go check that out!" I said to Jesse as I ran in front of him. When I arrived, two trees were knocked over and a small Skitty had its tail trapped underneath a branch and it couldn't get free.

"That's where the scream came from." I said to Jesse as he caught up to me. I waited to see what he would do.

After Combee flew too Leo, and just stared at me. I realized it wasn’t going to leave, why was it so drawn to me and Leo I wondered as Leo suggested that we walk on the path he had suggested before we ran into Combee.

As I walked the path nothing was said between me and Leo. Walking the path was peaceful; from where we were we could hear the wind moving the flowers, all the different Pokémon cries, and everything else going on around them. I noticed that combee was still with Leo, it must have grown some sort of special bond with him or something.

We continued to walk with path when we heard a loud thump coming from up ahead. Many different flying types Pokémon living in the area were startled and began to fly off. Combee however remained calm, and stayed on Leo’s shoulders. Leo began to run towards where the sound had came from, because he knew that something could have caused this and Leo needed to find out what happened.

"That's where the scream came from." He said to me as I caught up to him. he waited to see what I would do.

Skitty squirmed helpless as it tried to get its tail free from the fallen trees, but it didn’t work. “We have to help it!!” I shouted to Leo. You could tell Skitty wouldn’t be able to break free itself, and Leo and I could most likely help set the Skitty free.

“Alright, we need to get one tree up at a time,” I told him. “You go on one side and I’ll go on the other, and on the count of three we lift!” I finished as he nodded his head. Leo ran over to one side of the tree and I ran over to the other.

“One,” I began to count, “Two, THREE” I shouted as both of us quickly grabbed and lifted the first knocked over tree. “Alright, now the next one!” I exclaimed as we set aside the first tree.

This time Leo was doing the counting. “Ok! One, two,” he said as we both tightened our grips on the next tree. “Three!!” He shouted as we both pulled up the second broken tree.

Skitty was free, but Leo had a look on his face, he could tell that the Skitty was hurt from the trees.

I usually didn't interfere with Pokemon in the wild. I left that up to the Trainer. It was part of our Ranger code, but I couldn't help myself, I had to help. We moved the tree off the Skitty. It cried happily as it brushed its head against the Jesse's leg.

"Haha, looks like he likes you too." I said. As I did, the Skitty jumped back and took a battle stance. "Looks like it wants to go with you, but it wants to battle first." I said. I looked over to the Skitty as it nodded back at Jesse.

Haha, looks like he likes you too." Leo said. As he did, the Skitty jumped back and took a battle stance. "Looks like it wants to go with you, but it wants to battle first." He said. I looked over to the Skitty as it nodded back at me.

The Skitty stood looking at me it had one paw forward and the other back, it wanted to battle.

“Alright lets go Walrein!” I shouted as a pulled a pokeball out of my pocket. Quickly after I tossed the ball up, the ball began to spin, as it collided into the ground it opened, a red beam shot from the ball and suddenly a Walrein was there. Walrien stood there with its sharp fangs, blue body, and a white top, which strongly resembled hair.

“Okay, Walrien I don’t want to hurt the Skitty to much.” I told Walrein as it glanced at the Skitty. “Go ahead and body slams it!” I shouted as Walrein began to run towards Skitty. Walrein didn’t move as fast as I hoped but I knew that I could maybe get a hit on it.

“Okay, Walrien I don’t want to hurt the Skitty to much.” Jesse told Walrein. “Go ahead and body slams it!” The blubber Pokemon began sliding as fast as it could towards the Skitty. When it got close enough, it pushed itself off of the ground. It probably went up about 15 feet, then hurdled back down to slam onto the Skitty.

The Kitten Pokemon jumped up pretty fast. It was right next to the Walrein as it made it flinch, and with its tail, send a wave of air that just pushed the Walrein higher up. The Walrein came slamming down on the Skitty.

Then, the Walrein unexpectedly began to laugh out loud. It jumped off of the Skitty. The wild Kitten Pokemon was tickling its underside. The Skitty then ran forward towards the Walrein, its head glowing purple.

After Walrien had landed on the Skitty, it randomly began to laugh. Walrien quickly jumped of the Skitty to realize that that it had been tickling Walrien. Walrien was still letting out a chuckle when Skitty began to attack Walrien; Skitty began to run toward walrien, its head glowing a dark purplish sort of color.

“Walrien! It looks like Skitty is going for a Zen Head butt,” I told Walrien as Skitty approached Walrien. “Come on Walrien dodge it, you can do it! I encouraged walrien, “And after that do a calm but powerful blizzard to effect the Skitty! “ I finished as Skitty began to unleash its attack.

The Walrein tried to jump out of the way to dodge the oncoming attack, but despite how hard it tried, it got slammed into hard by the Skitty's attack. Walrein slammed back hard into a tree. The Walrein was pretty big, so the attack didn't do much, but it showed the Skitty was not just cute, but that it could use strong moves.

The large walrus opened its mouth, forming small particles of ice in it. After a few seconds, it launched a Blizzard attack towards the Skitty, who took the blast head on. It began glowing white as it ran forward through the Blizzard, slamming hard into the Walrein again. As it stopped, I noticed that its left back leg was frozen because of the ice attack. I knew that it would be harder for it to move now, but the Walrein was already slow, so perhaps it was still faster.

The Skitty tried to catch its breath and claw at the ice. I waited to see what Jesse would do next.

I glanced over at Skitty to find that one of its legs had become frozen from Walreins Blizzard. I knew I had to take advantage of this.

“Walrein, It seems one of Skitty’s legs is frozen!” I told Walrein as it stared at the Skitty ahead of it catching its breath and clawing at the ice to break it. “This is our chance, let’s use an Aqua ring to get back some of our heath.” I explained to Walrein as Walrein began to use the move. Walreins body began to glow, as a light blue ring like structure circled Walreins body.

“That’s the way to do it!” I told Walrein as it got prepared to do another move. Skitty had almost got the ice of its leg and I knew I had to do something about it. “Alright Walrein, let’s try and do an Aurora beam!” I cheered in excitement. In front of Walreins face light began to form, it grew quickly and began to shoot toward Skitty. The beam was multi colored and shot directly at the Skitty.

“If this hits,” I told Leo. “Were all getting laid,” I finished as smiled and looked back at Leo.

“Walrein, It seems one of Skitty’s legs is frozen!” He told his Walrein as it stared at the Skitty. “This is our chance, let’s use an Aqua ring to get back some of our heath.” A bluish white ring surrounded the Walreins body. It was slowly regaining health that it lost.

“That’s the way to do it!” Jesse said, encouraging his Pokemon. That was the kind of thing I liked to see. Trainers praising their Pokemon not only made them feel better, but it helped them preform better as well. “Alright Walrein, let’s try and do an Aurora beam!” Walrein knew the Skitty was about to break free so he quickly sent the colorful beam of light towards the Skitty. It wasn't cold enough to freeze it, but it would at least do some damage.

“If this hits,” He said to me, “Were all getting laid,”

"Kid, you aren't getting anything." I said in my head. I just grinned at him. I heard a loud crack coming from the Skitty's direction. It had cracked the ice from its leg, but it was too late for it to jump out of the way. It got hit by the cold beam of colorful energy. The Skitty tried to deflect the attack, but he was unsuccessful. The Skitty finally managed to move out of the way, trying to catch its breath as it waited for the Walrein to make another move. It looked like it had something planned.

Leo Grinned as I told him that we were all getting laid, I figured he would think I was to young but I still said it and didn’t regret it. Skitty had finally broken the ice on its leg but Aurora beam had hit the Skitty as it made a futile attempt to dodge it.

“Alright Walrien come here!” I told my walrus like Pokémon as it turned around and came toward me. “Okay here’s the deal,” Skitty Stood their curiously as I continued to talk to Walrien. “I want you to run toward Skitty and Body Slam it, But after you hit it, I’m going to throw the Pokeball at it so don’t get to crazy with your body slam.” I laughed as Walrien turned back around and began to charge at Skitty. Quickly after Walrien had left me I went into my bag and grabbed a Parkball.

Walrien ran quickly toward Skitty, and as it came close to contact with Skitty I tossed the ball at the Skitty. The ball twirled in the air as it caught up to Walrien.

“Alright Walrien come here!” He said, as the Walrein came towards him. “Okay here’s the deal, I want you to run toward Skitty and Body Slam it, But after you hit it, I’m going to throw the Pokeball at it so don’t get to crazy with your body slam.” He said, laughing stupidly. He pulled out a ball from his bag as the Walrein took off for the Skitty. My guess was that Body Slam was supposed to hold the Cat Pokemon down while he threw the ball.

The plan started as soon as Walrein jumped into the air, Skitty braced itself as the Walrein slammed down on it. Skitty extended her claws and sunk them into the Walrein, which didn't do much because of its blubber.

Jesse took this chance to throw his Parkball. It soared through the air and hit the feline Pokemon on its tail, the only part that was sticking out. Walrein jumped off that area, revealing the ball. It was at a standstill.

"Congrats, you caught it." I said.

Walrien pounded Skitty to the ground, leaving only skittys tail showing while Walrien was under it. When I threw the pokeball it hit Skittys tail, soon after Walrien had gotten up the pokeball was at standstill, I had finally caught the Skitty.

"Congrats, you caught it." Leo said, as I turned around, too see that the Combee was still on his shoulders and was watching the battle.

“Thanks!” I Responded as I ran up to Walrien and the pokeball containing my newly caught Skitty. “Walrien why don’t you use another Aqua ring to get some health back,” I told Walrien as she began to use Aqua ring. More Light blue swirls surrounded Walrein, and Walrien looked suddenly more rejuvenated, and happy. “Alright go ahead and take a rest,” I said as I pulled out Walreins pokeball from my pocket and clicked the circular button on the Pokeball. Walrien was suddenly swallowed by a red beam coming from the pokeball.

“Alright, where to next?” I asked as I turned around and looked at Leo.

“Bee!” I heard Combee say excitedly.

"I'll hold onto this until you leave." I said. "We can go check out the area up ahead. I heard a roar right before you battled this Skitty. I think whatever it was must have done this to these trees. I think Skitty will appreciate us checking it out since its the one that got hurt." I waited to see what he would say.

“Sounds like a plan” I told him as a handed him the Pokeball containing my newly caught Skitty. “Treat it well, I’ll be watching you.” I said stupidly as he took the ball from my hands and began to walk along the path where the fallen trees use to lie. The tree had messed up the dirt path below, but now the path was clear again and we began to walk toward the area where Leo had heard the roaring.

“MOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I called out randomly in hopes that a Miltank would approach me so I could battle it. “Would you let a Miltank have your children?” I asked Leo curiously “Because I probably would!” I told him sarcastically as I waited for his response.
